This was my first visit to a cat cafe. It was a lovely place to go. The cats all seemed very happy and relaxed and had a lot of stimulation and things to play with, places to sleep etc. The staff who worked there seemed to really know the cats and were all really pleased to share their knowledge and answer any questions we had. The cats were happy and healthy and of course just gorgeous! The food was good, but let's be honest, we were there for the cats!

Plenty of playful and sleeping cats over two floors. Not a big menu. Bagels or cakes, I mean, also not a bad menu if you like cake ;) but limited, depending on what you want. To anyone thinking of visiting, be aware that there are many restrictions that the Google Maps entry does not mention. Need to book ahead of coming, under 12s not allowed, etc. Went yesterday and after a long trip had to turn back because the positive reviews did not mention any of this.

Took my mum here as a belated Mother’s Day treat on 24th March, and we had the Cream Tea. We were here several years ago and are already planning on making a swift return! The cats are adorable, if somewhat chilled out for most of the time we were there, until it was dinner time! The staff are amazing and so friendly. Location is super easy to get to. Just a short bus ride from London Liverpool Street Station (either Route 8 or 388). Highly recommend this lovely cat cafe! We shall be returning soon 🩷

This place is pawesome! I love the business model where cat care is part of the service. We got some tips on how to care for our cats by being here, too. Lady Dinah's is a solid cat cafe choice in London, although some is left to be desired. While you do indeed get to see many cats, they all seem apathetic and tired. This of course is to be expected from cats that are oversensitized. Overall a nice experience with decent (yet possibly over-priced) food to enjoy with someone.

great location unfortunately the vibe of then cafe itself was a bit disappointing. We were seated in the basement with no natural light, which was awful in regards to our ambient for lunch. Moreover the air quality throughout the whole cafe could have sent me into a an asthma induced coma at any moment. Being seated in the basement with neither natural light nor natural air was quite the experience. Howeber i must say that their scone was quite delicious. When you come to visit Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium.. you best be prepared... and I don't mean for delicious afternoon tea or adorable cat fussums... No.. You best be prepared for war... That's right... war. The Misses and I had only just finished eating our delicious scone (Cream and then Jam, The proper way) when they ambused us.... not the cats, oh no.. Dogs! Master Bistro's Dog Bazaar.. a rival establishment from across the main road had set an attack. We we're outnumbered as they bombarded us with catnip. Luckily, the cats were prepared as Gimli quickly issued all the others with gas masks. Zora, Daz, and Merry retaliated with tennis ball cannons, effectively distracting a large number of dog fighters. We lost Tao and Elle to the lazer pointer counter attack. Luckily, Sherlock and Oliver had created a life-sized mailman, driving many of the dogs in the opposite direction. After 15 mins of heavy yowling, scratching, and biting, the dust settled, and all was quiet. We thought we was safe but suddenly a squeaky mouse grenade landed in the middle of the room, I thought I was done for but Hippo lept into action and jumped on top of the mouse and saved us. I'll never forget you, Hippo, and the sacrifice you made for us all. We managed to escape, but the war still continues. So visit Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium and help fight the good fight. Remember their motto.. Cats Rule, Dogs Drool Brilliant clean establishment with friendly staff and lovely food.

My expectations were exceeded. There are lots of rules and safety measures in place to keep the cats safe, healthy and at ease. All of the felines are rescue cats which I think is great. The staff is very nice, the interior is cool and funky and there are many places for the cats to hide/relax if they don't feel like being touched. I was worried about smells but the air was pristine and it wasn't smelly in the slightest. It was great to see this concept done right and I would totally recommend giving this place a visit.

After we’d lost our elderly cat the previous month we thought it would be a good time to tick off something from our bucket list and visit Lady Dinah’s after so many years of wanting to. As it was my fiancée’s birthday I decided to go with the birthday package at a total cost (inc. the birthday package) of £69. We live at the far end of the Met Line in Chesham and didn’t have the quietest journeys in post rush hour😫 As my fiancée has social anxiety the journey didn’t help. We were already a bit down after that 1hr 45 minute journey. The walk from Aldgate through Brick Lane towards the cafe wasn’t the best either so we’re relieved to arrived in time for our 12pm slot. Upon arrival the front shop counter was a bit of a squeeze with some people waiting to enter. After we entered we loved the layout for the cats. Ground level with various climbing trees and wall mounted platforms looked good. Handful of cats in and around this area. Downstairs in the basement was the forest themed room. Plenty of cats down here but unfortunately for us it was also, to us at least, over stuffed with tables for guests. We sat down and after about 10-15mins received our birthday complementaries from a member of staff who was pretty bubbly which was one of the only pluses for us unfortunately. The basement level soon felt overrun with customers who seemed to be more occupied with getting photos of the cats with their phones rather than playing with them. Don’t get us wrong, some of them did. But it felt just really overrun and we only managed to get some fussing of the cats done by the time our time slot was over. For the £69 total we paid it didn’t feel like the complete value for money we were hoping for. Not very sure just yet whether we will revisit in the near future 😔

I had high hopes but felt the whole experience rather lacking. It is a cafe with cats in, we did get the food we ordered. But it felt too busy, our table was tucked away from the cats with another table blocking our access. The food was fine but insubstantial and the "salad" was a few bits of cucumber. The background music was nice and the decor original though everything a bit tired. The leaving system was strange, everyone leaves at the same time at the end of a session so there was a queue in a cramped passageway, to pay on exit.

Myself and a friend visited here on the weekend. It was all round a good experience, the cats were adorable, the atmosphere very relaxed. The service was quick and the staff were friendly. There was a lady who voluntarily gave us some insight into some of the cats, which was interesting. The cats seem very happy and well cared for. The downfall was that it was over priced. You pay an entry fee anywhere from 14-30£ depending on the time of day you attend, plus your food and drinks, plus a service charge. I paid £7 for a very very plain, small, bagel. We did not have afternoon tea but judging from other customers around us it looked like a very small portion. Then, when your ‘time’ is up, you are prompted to leave. I understand that the food, medication and care of the cats costs. I also understand that they are a busy little business. However, I would have expected better quality food considering how much I paid, or, perhaps 1 free hot drink. Just a thought. I would advise anybody that this is a great visit for cat lovers like myself, but not the best choice if you are looking for more of a cafe experience.

This cat cafe easily stands out from its competitors in the city. Nestled near the trendy Brick Lane, this proper cat cafe has more than a dozen cats (including kittens) actively roaming around, providing more than enough enjoyment for everyone. The cats are incredibly friendly and gentle. Although carrying them is not allowed, they happily allow you to pet them, and some are quite affectionate. Spread across two floors with multiple overhead walkways and hiding spots, the cats have plenty of space to explore. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the cats' behaviours and any questions you might have. While the food is simple, it's sufficient. We enjoyed scones, cakes, and tea, and they were great. As most of the cats here are rescues, visiting contributes to the maintenance and upkeep of the shelter. I would highly recommend this place, especially for cat lovers, and I'll certainly be back soon.

The cats are lovely, as is the place - you can see it was created with attention to detail and lots of love. What we found a bit annoying was that one person of the staff kept jumping in the middle of people petting cats, waving around toys that made the cats get up and chase after the toy. The problem about that was that the cats were barely willing to be pet in the first place (understandably, with many people there all day), so if you for once were able to find one that enjoyed it for a moment, it would be gone in a second because the lady would wave the toy in front of it. Thank you anyway, we loved the cats very much, especially Pippin and Oliver!

Loads of friendly cats and there were even four new kittens when we went, two girls and two boys. The boys were still wearing their cones of shame after recently being neutered :). It's on the ground floor but most of the action is in the basement which is accessed by quite a steep and narrow staircase so best to check with them before you go if you have mobility issues. The cats do go between floors so you'll still see them if you don't or can't go downstairs.

However I think the amount of people that are in the cafè at once was too many and lessend the experience you had with cats. I feel like I didn’t get a chance to have much time with cats since there was just too many people in the space at once for the cats to come out and truly be comfortable. I think it was just too noisy and too overwhelming for them for it to be an equally enjoyable experience on both half’s ( cats and customers). I think what the company are doing with re homing the cats it’s great! They cats were lovely and very sweet but i think less amount of people would make the more enjoyable and personal. The cats come first, which is exactly how it should be - lols! Lovely staff, and a little bit of calm in a busy part of London. 18 cats, and some played, some slept, and some were aloof, but a great excuse to lounge about for an hour or so. The cream tea (jam first) was divine - with a cat-shaped scone! We went midweek during term time, so there were no younger children, which probably improved the experience for us and the cats 😹. I'm definitely going again (once my cats have forgiven me).

The staff are amazing and informative and really the the time to tell you about each cat and you can tell they really care for them here. The cafe itself has a lovely inclusive feel but it's not the most accessible as half the cafe is down some stairs. The cats themselves are gorgeous and very relaxed, often jumping and running around but also loving to be pet and brushed. Would recommend coming around 3-4pm as that's when they're fed so they're a lot more active. Also the scone we got was cat shaped and very cute and surprisingly tasty.

A friend and I visited 2 weeks ago during our trip to London, and it was a really pleasant stay The atmosphere of this place is amazing and super calming, the cats are adorable, and the staff is super friendly. Will definitely come back someday

The cats were so uninterested and bored of life. Either wanted to sleep or eat, no interest in play, some didn't even like petting. Doesn't look like they enjoy human interaction. We were told they did play earlier, so maybe try coming in the morning. Of course, we weren't allowed to pick them up, which I think should be allowed at least under staff supervision since many cats do enjoy being picked up or sitting on humans. I recommend to keep the cats during their sleep in a separate area. As you want them to have quiet during their sleep and customers want cats they can interact with.

Too many people on the weekend, tables are too close to each other, space downstairs is quite dark, cats must be tired of many customers. Nevertheless cats of course are gorgeous and give you positive feelings. Don’t regret going, but feels quite expensive for it’s value.

Great little cat cafe in London. Food shaped like a cats face. A 15minute reminder that your session was about to finish was welcomed but also felt like they were unsure. But otherwise a welcome atmosphere and we would be happy to come back again….maybe to pick up a little kitty.

The cats were so cute and the lemon cake was delicious (gluten-free and egg-free too)! They have gluten-free and vegan scones available as well.

And the food god damn i want more 😭 We respected the cats of course if they didnt want to cuddle even tho my heart was aching for cuddles. They were all so adorable. It didn't smell like cats & it was clean. I just want to hug y'all. Such a cool place

The place needs cleaning and ventilation, the smell is so awful 😷 I booked for 90 minutes but couldn’t stay long because of the poor air quality and the smell inside . Disappointing experience.

I meant to write this months ago, here we go! haha I followed Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium a while back on socials because I'm a cat mom and it was suggested to me. I love seeing rescue cats find their forever home. I knew I had to go went I went to London in May. I got their afternoon tea, which I could get gluten free and that was really rather nice for me! The cats were adorable and I loved seeing their little (or big) personalities. As a solo traveler, this was such a fun treat to visit the emporium. The staff were so nice and knowledgeable about the cats and talked about their background and personalities. I also love that when they feel a cat needs a change of scenery, they help that cat find a home so that they can live a slower paced life. I had the best time and have been recommending it to anyone who is traveling over to London. I will definitely go back next time I'm over there. Love those kitties and the wonderful staff!

Gorgeous cafe and lots of friendly cats! A bit on the expensive side but I understand feeding all the cats and running it can't be cheap! They also didn't have many vegetarian options
