The best restaurants serving British food in Croydon London

Rebecca was great, roasts were excellent.

I read a review that the prices had gone up but that isn't true. We had 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 dessert and 4 x 250ml glasses of wine for £115 including tip which is standard price for Croydon. Also got 2 free digestives on the house at the end which was nice. I would definitely go back.

Great beer, friendly staff, good atmosphere. Family friendly but not overun with children. Worth booking a table if you want to watch a particular sports match. Not all tables have a view of a screen.

Delivery driver was very rude and using cuss words. He haven’t called me and continuously ringing the bell.

We went with family to have a roast and it was delicious. Good starters and desserts too. We also enjoyed some cocktails. The service was very good and I like the modern decor.

The service here is consistent and amazing. I really do feel comfortable bringing clients here, having meetings and just enjoying a space that isn't noisy. The ping pong table is a great way to relax after work.

On arrival it seemed nice , we sat where I could see the kitchen , a lady preparing food was touching raw sausage, she then went on to make salads and avocado without washing her hands , whilst doing this she licked her fingers and the carried on preparing fresh food . Make us feel sick

The best pie mash you could possibly wish for! And very pleasant surroundings and company. I only wish I had stumbled upon Cockney’s before now.

They cook the best skinless cod, away from the seaside, that can be found locally but the CHIPs!!! By the time you sit down to eat them at home, they become dry and shrivelled and there are just so many of them, that we don't have plates big enough. I recommend asking for lots of salt and vinegar in the hope the moisture sweats some plumpness into them while they are wrapped up. The Fish still wins out over the local competition, where some places are still cash only, a disgrace in this day and age.

Booked for Valentine, because no where did they state that they only had a set menu that evening. Not on Fork, not on their website, not even outside the place, was there anything indicating that it was a set meny only evening. Only once we were seated were we told, if we had known we could have chosen from a number of the other places on the same street, and would have received same quality for much lower price. Food and general service ok but pricing way to high. And, an Italian place should be able to offer a white wine in the glass made on a native italian grape, not dull international ones. Sad

This was my first visit here and I’ve already made a booking to return. Such a lovely place. Bright decor. Relaxing atmosphere, friendly, helpful staff. Loved the menu. My friend and I both chose the salads. One with halloumi and the other with feta, beetroot and walnuts. Absolutely delicious.

Great spot in Croydon for a coffee. Big, light and airy atmosphere. Food is tasty, reasonably priced and lots of options which is usually a bad sign! Coffee and cakes were also very nice. The staff are the star of the show- friendly and wonderfully attentive. Very happy I came across this place!

This is the 3rd time I’ve received poor chips, fish is good, greasy and couldn’t eat half of them. My feedback from before gone unnoticed.

Such a perfect looking pub with great in- and outside seating - great for drinks. Food was terrible :( bread stale, pie dry, salad main only had 3 ingredients with burnt halloumi. Unnecessarily disappointing

Amazing little cafe, staff are pleasant and the food is nice. Atmosphere is very welcoming. Overall I very much recommend
