The best restaurants serving British food in Barnet London

Wonderful food and great service, really nice place for breakfast lunch and dinner. Food is great!

There was a black FLY in my BOTTLED fresh orange juice. I took it to the till and out of embarrassment, the lady tried to convince me it was a seed lol. Not to mention there was a fly keeping me company in there, on my solo breakfast date. A black fly with wings and legs would be hard to pass as an orange seed ( orange seeds are far from a solid black colour) but she probably thought she pulled it off as i couldnt be bothered for the delusion and i left as im pregnant and nauseous. Mistakes happen, its how you deal with them and in this case staff refused any acknowledgement or accountability. Which has led me to this review. And i was a regular customer.

Fantastic, friendly and fun environment. Great drinks available and brilliant music. Entertainment, games, and a beautiful secret garden. The landlady and staff are the most open and friendly of any I’ve met. They are professional, fun and make you feel as welcome as possible. Absolutely love this place. They do a Sunday lunch and have vegan options. This is a place to check out. You’ll love it

Quality of the food was very bad

The Food is beautifully prepared and all lovely fresh ingredients. I have had 2-3 dishes in the last two weeks and very satisfied overall. The tuna toasted sandwich was especially delicious with thin roasted peppers and salad giving lots of flavour. However, please may I just request that the Hollandaise has some more flavour added - Thank you.

Great food and selection of beers. One of my favourite pubs!! Update from 2025 - it's no longer the case, the only food available are very poor burgers and they have a very limited choice of beers

I first visited this pub in 1967 and I'm pleased to see it's still thriving.

We love the varied menu and friendly staff which were knowledgeable about both food and drinks choices and extremely attentive.

I’m not sure if it’s just the Deliveroo experience but £28 for two piece of cod (no chips) is not right. £3.65 for a pot of curry sauce 🤯 I’m never buying from there again.

Este lugar abre recientemente y tiene un dueño que acosa a mujeres y niños porque decide entrar al área local ya que están haciendo una parrillada, en terrenos que son privados, todo el vecindario está hablando de su comportamiento repugnante solo porque no quiere "competencia" de los residentes privados que tienen un picnic privado. Ocúpate de tu propio maldito negocio, se supone que este negocio es una empresa social, una empresa social, mi a s sUna cosa más, su comida es cara en primer lugar.

Not bad, looks recently refurbished, good selection of drinks, clean. Plenty of space and seating available, went on a Friday was hilarious, seems like local bar full of friendly locals.

Me and my partner both got fish and chips. His were fine. But my chips were awful. Very dark brown and hard - they had clearly been cooked twice. Which made no sense, as there were lots of customers waiting so they would not have been sitting there long. Crazy. The fish was really nice though. We wont be coming back though as the chips should have been edible.

My husband and I had lunch there yesterday. We ordered 2 fish and chips and 2 cokes. I saw the prices in the shop window. 1 fish and chips £7.99. We had to pay £30. Maybe 1 cola was £7.00. and they don't give a receipt It's terrible that guests are being cheated. I hope no one enters this " first-class shop"

Great food and great atmosphere! Pretty well priced for what you get! Deserts are delicious!
