Went for a meal with family today, food over cooked and greasy, long wait as long queues as only one staff on the bar, one waiter, tables with empty plates and glasses on, felt sorry for the staff, the manager or owner needs to employ more staff. My nephew wanted dessert was told kitchen closed.

The staff here are amazing, the drinks are good and the Friday karaoke is amazing 100/10

Poped in here over thrme weekend with my family, great service and great food. I would definitely recommend the ribs.

Been here few times and it's good atmosphere and quite good food. Recent visit however on Thursday it was a very long wait for the food about 45 minutes+

I drive by this pub and I always wanted to stop by because of the garden, I had a very bad experience with the staff, they were not friendly,went there again after 2 weeks and it was the same! Every time I went to the toilet I was followed by the staff, I haven't tried the food but won't recommend it!

Food choice & price was very good. Service was friendly. We were there early afternoon ao wasn't busy but atmosphere was ok.

When eventually the food came for us all,most of it was Cold,the mash potato especially, we had to keep reminding the staff for our order then the dessert was not available after waiting about half hour,no one told us we had to go and find someone.You need to get your act together we were going to come for Father's day but not now. Well it wasn't the Roast it was Cold mashed potato with the Chicken fillets which were like warm,No extra Pigs in Blankets that were ordered, came as person was nearly finished after numerous asking, no plate for Ribs bones,cold chips, no mention of Cheesecake not available till we pestered about were it was,Waiter serving at Bar so other staff running around, I understand it was busy But the Food and service was unacceptable.

This is our local pub and it has gone massively downhill recently, which is such a shame. They used to have an extensive cocktail list and lots of speciality burgers which were delicious, particularly their Californian burger. Visited today to find that they have drastically culled their menu. My "pina colada" was just the various ingredients dunked in a glass, not blended at all. My burger was very poor and looked nothing like the pictures in the menu; frankly McDonald's would be better (and cheaper). It was a dry unseasoned patty with a slice of tomato and some lettuce, no sauce or anything. Very disappointing. We won't be going back until they get back to the quality they used to have.

Always minimum 40 minutes for something to eat. A nightmare with hungry kids. Last time we simply left after 35 minutes. Even when we asked for refund and goodbye no one seems to care. 💀

I made a order and half an hour later asked them about my food, they said it was coming soon. After an hour waiting, I asked again and they said that my order was delivered to wrong table, and I couldn’t order again because the kitchen was already closed. Terrible service, if you can, avoid this kind of disappointment.

Steve was an amazing host. Full energy and made me feel very welcome. Steak tasted great...and cooked perfectly even as a deal day offer !

Great food for really decent prices

Poor service, came in for Mother’s Day dinner. Waited an hour and a half for food to arrive. We were not told by staff that there would be a long wait. We were only told that it’s a long wait once we spoke to the bar man an hour after ordering. The food finally arrived and was cold. Not one meal was hot. Really really poor. Customer service from bar and floor staff non existent.

Great place for a cheap lunch with ample parking. Piping hot pub grub - steak, gammon, pies… great cold Peroni beer - and nice young staff. It is a sports bar so there is usually tennis or football on but that is not intrusive. Near a cemetery so probably a good place for a funeral wake.

Staff on today the lady and gent gave such excellent customer service and food was amazing.... steak for 8.49 can't go wrong was cooked to perfection medium rare. Thanks guys x

Five Bells exceptional service today. Table booked for my Dad's 93rd birthday. Nine meals & drinks. All served in hot, in good time, they provided plates & culery for cake we bought too. Thanks to the Manager - Steve It is family oriented, has good exterior eating facilities too.

Just an amazing spot, I love it 100%. The food is delicious, you can order and pay through an app, and the atmosphere is so cosy. I appreciate the reasonable prices and combo deals as well as the large portions. Highly recommended. ❤️

Came here for lunch and absolutely loved it. Really good prices, large portions and tasty! Comfy seats with plugs for your phone and nice atmosphere. Coming back for quiz night and plan to come back lots more.

Met 2 lovely girls summer and amy made us feel very good and are a credit to that pub and the food was lovely we had lovely waffle chips and the pub was clean and tidy

The staff make this place, they are friendly, helpful and professional. The pub was recommended by both the Crematorium and the Funeral Directors when we were looking for someone for a wake. Unfortunately, despite numerous calls, plus enquiries on their website, we were unable to make contact pre Funeral. However, a visit was made on the way to the Funeral and the staff could not have been more kind or helpful. I have only given four stars for atmosphere and food, purely because of the circumstances of our visit. The atmosphere l didn't really take in properly and the food l hardly touched, although it looked lovely and everyone else said it was really nice. We had a selection of the sharing platters, which at late notice, worked perfectly.

Went here on Christmas Eve, we were really enjoying ourselves until the so called entertainment started up. I don't know where you found that guy but what a way to clear a pub!

Nice place for a decent pint and a quality meal. I had a steak which was cooked to perfection. The service was great and my dirty plate was taken almost as soon as I finished.

Only had the one beer in here with a friend, so i can't comment on food other than my friend said he'd eat there and enjoyed it. It was fine, fairly busy we found parking although part of the car park was a bit flooded, also found a seat they have sport on flat screens, but it was more a family pub imo.

When the drinks were brought over to our table the waiter left the tray and walked away, so that we had to get the drinks off the tray ourselves and find somewhere for the tray to go. We ordered 3 beyond meat burgers but after ordering and paying were told that they had run out of the buns. Two of us had the alternative types of buns, but someone in our party could not have the alternative buns so had to have a burger with no bun instead. We asked for extra chips and salad to make up for this, but when it arrived there were no extra chips or salad. Due to dietary requirements a vegan nacho dish was ordered. After tucking into the dish we realised that it was non vegan. Real dairy cheese had been used and had already been consumed. Very dangerous and it was realised too late. We raised this and the vegan nacho dish was brought out instead, but we barely got an apology and didn't get any compensation. Also, one of our guests were told that a beef burger brought over was a vegan beyond meat burger. She started eating this and then realised that it was meat. Again, realised too late. The restaurant was not busy so fail to understand how all of these mistakes were happening. Very dangerous and risky for those with allergies. It all seemed a bit sloppy with no real care or consideration.

Busy Saturday night me & my friend came for some drinks. Bar was so busy but we were served by the lovely summer who got our order done quickly with a smile

I love this place. Good working class atmosphere. Unpretentious good atmosphere. Burgers were very good. Good activities (poker, live music, quiz).

Fantastic pub with comfortable seating and lots of garden space both front and back. Good amount of parking at the front including charging spaces for EV's. Easily accessible by public transport with bus stop right outside. Really friendly management and staff and very efficient service with great prices for beer and food. Everything you would expect from a Green king pub. Sports shown and regular quiz night and karaoke.

After a very disappointing Xmas day lunch this year, we decided to go for lunch today. We ordered a sirloin steak, which was very nice, and also a large mixed grill. The chicken was very, very dry, and I didn't get the onion rings as described, the grilled tomato or the bbq sauce I ordered. Sounds petty I know but I'd like to get what I paid for. The server was very good after I told him we didn't get everything that was supposed to be on the plate. We won't go there again for food, but will go for drinks like we normally do as they are reasonably priced and the service is always good. we are local to the area so it's a handy place to grab a drink.

Perfectly fine but slightly underwhelming local pub. Our regular pub was shut so went here as an alternative: a fine option if it’s the only pub open, but plenty of better pubs nearby

Went to five bells on Sunday evening, got there with my family at 8.30 in the evening . Went to bar and order drinks and said to the barman is it ok to order food and he replied so 5 mins later went back to the the bar to ordered food for me and my grandchildren to be told by the bar maid SKy that the kitchen had shut this was at 8.40 pm. I checked what time the kitchen shut and it said 9.00. I was really upset as my granddaughters were hungry but she just said the kitchen is shut and I explained that it was advertised that it shut at 9.00 so I did not understand. On another note was in there on the Friday evening with friends and to be told that the cider had run out I feel that a pub which also sell food is not keeping up to its expectations. I am really upset and annoyed with this

Second week in a row that one of our group didn’t get their meal. Service at bar awful 15 minutes wait for a drink. The pub isn’t even busy.

When you order drinks, wait 20 minutes, then go to the bar to find out why they haven’t come yet - they are serving people that just arrived at the bar instead fulfilling orders from the app that are 20+ minutes old. For some reason they don’t appear to be able to fulfil drinks orders in the order they were placed. No customer at the bar would mind if they were told “hold on, someone is ahead of you” instead of making app orders wait forever. Seemingly your drinks will come when staff have exhausted their entire to do list - then they might check for app orders and bring your drinks if you’re lucky.

My favourite pub in the area. Has amazing atmosphere and food. Service is good, expect for the peak times (but that's expected). Come here for a great time!

Really bad service yesterday although the food was ok! Firstly, I was served a pint of coke that had hardly any coke syrup in it, just carbonated water, the barman didn't notice the colour difference until I mentioned it. Then the food arrived, a large platter of food and the sausages were missing and the beans were very watery. Waited a while for the sausages to be cooked and got served extra beans. Then dessert, the strawberries and custard cheesecake arrived with no ice cream or meringues, we were very disappointed. We questioned the missing items and instead of bringing the extra items to the table, they took the half eaten desserts back to the kitchen and plonked a scoop of ice cream on it and said they had no meringues even though it is on the menu. In my experience, if you are going to take a plate back into the kitchen that has already been eaten, you must do a fresh plate not serve the old one. God knows if they were angry staff and did something to the food or where it was left in the kitchen. £10 down the drain as we didn't eat it. Staff said that they are adjusting to new menu but I can't help but think something else was going on back in the kitchen. I have been here many times and the service has never been this bad. We were there celebrating a birthday so very dissatisfied with the service we received yesterday.

Gross glass was switched out after alerting staff, then beer was poured from the dirty glass into the clean. Nope.

Booked a lunchtime birthday buffet at 5 bells, paid a deposit, they cancelled 2 days before, leaving us scrambling to find another venue for 20 people. It was a very generic email, no call, no apology, simply, we can’t accommodate you booking. Think carefully before using this pub for an important event

My fav pub in all of finchley. Not for the food or drinks but the community vibes. A proper local pub which is soooo rare in London especially considering it's a green king chain. Very child friendly. My kids run around the garden all evening in summer and meet loads of other kids.
