Good was very good! The service and atmosphere make the experience even better. Definitely recommended!

The staff was friendly, and the food was okay—not amazing, but decent. Their beer is actually quite good. The outdoor seating is definitely the highlight, especially during the summer. However, I wouldn’t recommend sitting indoors, as there was an unpleasant smell that took away from the overall experience.

Very popular pub near Hampstead Heath. Busy on a Saturday night so booking is advisable. There were plenty of staff so service was okay but one of our drinks orders went astray and only turned up 30 minutes later. The food was fine although my Chicken Milanese was tough as old boots and very dry. Outside seating was plentiful with blankets and electric heaters provided. I probably wouldn't go again.

Stopped in after a walk through Hamstead Heath, on a weekday morning it was almost completely empty. Lovely patio and delicious eggs benedict, very friendly service.

The Spaniards is a lovely spot for a pint while visiting Hampstead Heath. The setting is delightful and the history is fascinating. Service, food , and drink all great. The sauce with the halloumi cheese was amazing 🤩

The best Sunday roast in the area

I had the sharing platter roast dinner and it was mostly fantastic. Had a lovely selection of chicken, lamb and beef. Wonderful quantity of roast potatoes, carrots, and parsnips. Two Yorkshire puddings and a lovely gravy along with some healthy greens. The sharing platter for two included a pig in blanket and a piece of stuffing . This blanket wrapped pig, was a Frankfurter style cocktail sausage with a bit of bacon on. And there was only one of them. Additionally, less said about the stuffing would be for the best. I was very disappointed to see only one pig on the plate. Parking was confusing, do I pay privately upon entry as the signs suggest or do I have to log my registration plate in the restaurant? Or do I do both? Someone that exited the pub who frequents often said that we only need to do the registrations inside. It was my first time at the Spaniards Inn and I would recommend it to others. Lots of staff so you weren’t hanging around to pay for the bill to ask for a drink etc. Nice food, nice atmosphere.

Very disappointed, had been looking forward to coming here but had a terrible experience - Except for the decor / design of the building there wasn't much to return for. Found the staff far too stressed/ rushed with zero personable engagement, often having to go find them for service. The food took over an hour from when we arrived (had two toddlers with us which was a disaster), didn't find the Chicken Roast special in anyway, the kids food was mostly battered to oblivion and the desert microwaved beyond recognition. One saving grace was the fresh baked bread which we slowly plied the kids with. Possibly a good location for the beer garden but many other places in London i'd recommend before here.

Popped by for a cheeky afternoon lunch visit and was not disappointed. It was a lite meal on this occasion but the crispy mozzarella was to die for. Pub looked as great as ever.

Deplorable service despite the smiles Reservation made for 7 p.m. When we arrived, we were put in a separate room, supposedly for “15 minutes”. More than an hour later, still no table, although several were clearly free in the main room. The waitress, although smiling, seemed totally overwhelmed, without any coordination or consideration for our reservation. The service was disorganized, slow, and clearly not up to par. No communication, no apologies, and a feeling of being left out for no good reason. As for the meal, the products were fresh but the seasoning left something to be desired. Decent cheeseburger, but my dish was disappointing: fries that were way too salty, vegetables and mash that were bland and tasteless. The meat was good, but the puff pastry surrounding it was hard as a rock. Overall a frustrating experience. The lack of professionalism of the service completely ruins the moment. Damage.

Visit after making a reservation to eat Sunday roast. Family of 4 (including 2 children) I may have made a reservation in advance, but it was a covered terrace seat as I ordered, and it was warm because it had an electric heater. I had a delicious Sunday roast at a reasonable price. The service from 'Priya' was excellent.

I had a lovely experience and lovely food on Saturday!! But my server definitely made mine and my partners night, her name was Arika and her knowledge of the food and drinks menu was amazing! She was so polite and so patient with me as I was being indecisive. She continued to recommend dishes after asking what type of foods I like! We will definitely be coming back and hoping Arika is our server again! Also, lovely atmosphere and amazing staff!

Great atmosphere at the Spaniards. Staff were helpful and friendly but Sunday lunch was a disappointment. The roast beef portion was small, grisly and quite fatty. Not satisfactory for the price being charged.

We waited over two hours for our Sunday roasts, they also forgot to bring the added sides we asked for. I ordered the lamb roast.. and it had a metallic aftertaste to the meat that made me feel a bit sick several hours later. Also, the roast potatoes were burnt. In total for this meal is cost me nearly £50. Total rip off. Food was underwhelming. The slowest service I've ever encountered.

Food still excellent. Have not been since Christmas and surprised to see all the old staff not on when we visited. Not sure if this was "the day" or a permanent arrangement. With staff looking constantly away and taking 1.75 hours to serve and get through one course, we shall not be going back in a hurry!

Starting with the goods: the service here is really good! The place both inside and outside is epic! It's honestly so good it can't be described. That was until the food arrived. It was super tasty but we ordered the sharer roast and it's honestly the biggest disappointment I've had in a long time. The portion of beef, chicken and lamb is good but there is one pig in blanket and a very small ring of stuffing even though it's a sharing roast and the menu is written is plural. There was also only 1 half of parsnip hidden behind it all, which is just a cherry on top of the disappointment. The potatoes were really good though. I've been here many times and the sharing dishes always disappoint. I recommend getting individual ones and extra portions if needed instead of anything to share.

This is my favourite spot in London! Food is lovely, the vibe is unreal especially in the garden and bonus points for being so dog friendly!
