A group of us ordered drinks via table service and when the drinks were served to us the waitress didn’t know what drinks had been poured, which was fine, however when I asked which one the shandy was, she abruptly responded “I don’t know. I didn’t pour them.” Another friend who had just joined us then polity order a pint along with a soft drink, the waitress returned with the pint, but forgot about the soft drink. My friend said “excuse me, please can I also have a coke,” the waitress then turned around and muttered “f***ing hell” under her breath. We were dismayed to witness such a reaction. I appreciate the pub and hospitality industry is struggling, but having a front of house staff member with such little disregard for basic customer service is atrocious. We won’t be returning. Unfortunately this one member of staff let down other hard working, attentive staff.

It's great you can take dogs into the part where you can have a meal. Drinks are a bit expensive for a basic pub. Great Irish Coffee.

We eat in this pub regularly. One of my favourites is the steak & ale pie, the meat is very tender, in a nice gravy and puff pastry top and a good portion size. I also recommend the curry and sizzling steak. All meals are served on warm plates & the food is always good quality & hot. The pub has a very good selection of meals and very reasonable prices. There is also a very good choice of lagers and ales on draft, which are not available in many pubs locally. Rosemary, Tara and the team always offers great service, and nothing is too much trouble.

I pointed to the drink I wanted. The waiter checked everywhere in the bar to see what I was pointing at. Was it this? Was it that? Eventually I managed to explain that it was literally the beer that I was naming and pointing at. Oh, no, he said - none of the beers on that side had been available for ages. I managed to get a pint of a different beer and ordered some vegetarian food. Half an hour later they brought me some meat. I went back to ask if they were sure it was vegetarian - I don't remember Quorn being as convincing as that before. Yes - it was definitely vegetarian, they said. I went back to it... it was obviously meat so I took it back to show them. Was it definitely vegetarian? He just took it away. I stood there for a while and returned to my table and my book. Half an hour later a vegetarian one arrived (at least I hope it was all vegetarian - the gravy looked exactly the same as the gravy on the first one). They did offer me half a pint of Coke on the house due to "the delay" - no apology for giving meat to a vegetarian. The fact that the waiter and his boss were perfectly pleasant combined with the fact that they offered me the free half pint of Coke are the reasons this place got two stars rather than one. I wouldn't be inclined to go again unless it was just for a drink.

We’ve just moved to the area and have been looking for a family friendly pub that serves good home cooked food...and here it is! The female staff member made us feel welcome from the start which has been lovely as we are new parents and it’s quite daunting attempting to eat out at first! The food is home cooked, hot, tasty and cheap for London. Plenty of cosy, warm, comfortable seating. Parking across the road is free. Would highly recommend!

The food was amazing and the portions were very generous... Defiantly will be back again... Freshly cooked and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. It's hard to find a local Pub that serves good food and allows children. Other half was happy also as he got to watch the footie too...

The weavers is a great pub and has such friendly lovely hardworking owners and staff. We had an amazing roast Sunday lunch. We each had different meats, lamb, pork and gammon and all were beautifully cooked, really generous portions of potatoes and vegetables, plus an extra jug of gravy, a bonus as most places don't ever give enough. This was followed by an amazing homemade Apple pie with custard. The whole ambience of the pub and restaurant is what really brings it together, first time visitors become regulars and every customer is so very welcomed. This will probably win my "Worst Meal Of The Year" award - and it's only February! The food was bland, lukewarm (at best!) and 3 of the 4 dishes were obviously reheated... but not for long enough. We waited 45 minutes for our meals; even though the place was empty. Having chosen from a "white" menu, confirming to the waitress the dishes we wanted by pointing to the menu, when we came to pay the bill ALL the dishes were charged at the wrong price (roughly 25% more); as the waitress had, apparently, charged us from the "other" menu!! Having corrected the food bill, the Manager still tried to charge us for 5 (overpriced) drinks - when we'd had one drink each and there were only 4 of us... We'd also had to ask for a clean glass as there was a serious excess of someone else's lipstick on one we were given. Yuk! Really, REALLY awful. Never again.

This is an awful bar, if you are from the north of Ireland your money is not welcome here! I live locally to this bar and have been here several times. I had been back home over Christmas and having returned back to London for the NY, I decided to pop into what I would consider my local on New Years night I was appalled to be refused a round of drink when paying with a bank of Ireland twenty pound note. The young gent working looked puzzled when I gave him the cash, I explained that it was still sterling only bank of Ireland and legal tender. The owner an Irish Man himself from Southern Ireland was sat at the bar, the employee sought his approval and his response was, “we don’t accept that here.” An Irish Bar, an Irish owner yet refusing Northern IRISH currency..!!!

Went there for Sunday lunch, and we were looking forward to a slap up meal. Decor is cosy, the staff efficient and friendly. The food was a disappointment. Ignore the review entitles 'Awfulll' by the person calling him or herself 'Marshville' he or she has gone to great lengths to create a fake account with what appears to be a valid reputation. He or she has reviewed almost every eating or drinking establishment of similar type in the locale...all on one day! The third of December 2016 - even though the content of these reviews refers back to October and even earlier! Then after waiting two days for these to go live, has reviewed the Weavers, with a terrible review. The reviews contain items taken from their online menus, and other information to legitimise them. He or she has clearly also attended some of the other locations reviewed but it is clear this is a Barnet resident who has created this entire account with the sole intention of attempting to harm the reputation of the Weaver's bar and diner. As I am also a Barnet resident, I have dined in all of the places he or she reviewed and I generally agree with these carefully crafted reviews. However, due to the way in which they were created and the fact of the stark exception being this nonsense about the Weavers it is only logical to assume that this individual has a personal reason for this carefully crafted attack. The Weavers is a very friendly, well run family pub with very good food especially (but not limited to) the superb Sunday lunch, a favorite of my own family and many others in the area.On football days the public bar can be busy, but this pub is literally (physically) in two halves and the saloon bar is always family friendly and very welcoming indeed. The new fireplace really gives a homely feel.

Went to watch the fotoball here on a monday night, ordered vegetarian food. First came the nachos' very nice. lasagna - was not bad. risotto that did not look or resemeble rice and tasted not great with burned garlic bread. fresh bread came after which was nice. Spaghetti with chick pea curry is not/ should not be a thing- yet it was on their menu, we tried it, not nice at all. Vegetarian burger, usually the safe option came and tasted not very vegetarian. When queried. I was told it was, i said no it isn't. then they took it back to the kitchen where the chef tried it and said it was fish, salmon, "a very nice fish apparently". Fish is not a vegetable! I don't really care if salmon tastes nice or not! I was then given a new vegetarian burger that looked and tasted vegetarian with carrots and pea's visible. Then told the previous burger was quorn then they changed their mind and said it was tofu. Not sure why they lied or they tried to change what it was. No establishment stocks, quorn, tofu and vegetable burgers At the end we were told theywill take it off the bill for us. You fed a vegetarian fish then made out like it was a favour not to pay for it? The waiting staff were attentive, polite and apologetic. Not bad atmosphere. But seriously put off by the food.

I felt I had to write this review as I realise how difficult it is for Publicans and Restaurateurs at the moment.2 friends 'phoned me yesterday to say they were coming to see me and as they were hungry they suggested going to The Weavers. It was about 4pm so I 'phoned the pub and asked if they were still serving food - I was told they were and they would reserve a table for me.When we arrived the restaurant part of the pub was very busy but our table was waiting for us. We were greeted very warmly by the lady who it turned out is the owner (Rose). The restaurant has clearly had money spent on it and it looks lovely - there was a nice atmosphere and everyone was enjoying themselves. We were served by Louie - a smashing bloke and nothing was too much trouble. We started with Prawn Cocktail and a Vegetable soup. I should mention at this point that one of my friends owns a restaurant in the West End and he knows about food! He had the Vegeable soup which he confirmed was home made and delicious. The prawn cocktail arrived on a large plate - not in one of those dreadful glass dishes thankfully - and was excellent. Generous amount of prawns, fresh lettuce and tomato, fresh brown and white bread. Perfect. For main course we all opted for Roast beef - it was Sunday after all! This was definitely NOT pub grub - this was excellent. The beef was topside and top quality. Very tender, no fatty bits at all and plenty to enjoy. This was accompanied by carrots, peas - both fresh - and the best roast potatoes I've had for years! Marvellous - the gravy was just right too. We had an excellent bottle of Rioja which was also excellent - I cannot speak too highly of this place. Rose and Louie were attentive without being obtrusive and the real test was my 'foody' friend. His actual words were these - ' I think this place has got it just right and I was surprised how good the food is.'Finally - the cost - unbelievably good value! I think it was around £50 total including a very good wine. I've been to restaurants where I've served inferior food by indifferent staff and paid top top money for the unsatisfying experience. Please try The Weavers - I will be going back - very soon!

I've only rated it as average because i only come here for the drinks. I have yet to dine here but anyhow first off i'd like it if there were some spicy puffs on the bar, you can make great money from it seeing as you'd need something to down the spice on your tongue. Great selection of alcohol both bottled or on draft. Particularly happy that they now stock Rekorderlig Cider as well as Kopparberg and have different flavours so there is always a choice. Lots of tv's around to watch sky sports and there is a pool table down inside the pub as well as fruit machines against the wall. The pub is split in half, one side dedicated to the restaurant with older people dining then the other half dedicated to the drunk older guys ;). Great atmosphere and friendly Irish folk inside as always. I come here often as it is my local and even my friends still suggest coming down for a catch up even though it is a bit of a journey for them. It just shows how much of a great vibe there is here that makes people come back and make the journey!

I have been in this pub many times. So I will just tell you about my favorite visit. It was a Saturday around 7:00pm and I was there to watch the football. Not many people their, big screen and great food. I ordered a burger with lots of other nice essential other bits of food. It tasted like heaven, crunchy but not to over cooked. We left (me and my dad) with smiles on our faces; not just because Arsenal won the football match, but because the food had tasted wonderful.

We held our son's 18th Birthday party here and what a great night was had by all. We booked last minute with Rose and couldn't be happier the food and staff were fab, and the atmosphere was brilliant. This was not the first time we used the Weavers for a private function and would not hesitate to book again. Thanks again to Rose and all the staff you helped make our night a very memorable one.

Booked a private party for 50 people. Weavers was organised, helpful and made everything straightforward. The food on the night was a buffet, there was plenty of it and it was of a good quality. They created a friendly and relaxed atmosphere from the start which prevailed throughout the whole evening. Staff were pleasant and worked hard to ensure it went well. All in all, excellent value for money and no hesitation to recommend to others.Rod and Liz

They try very hard to please everyone here and are always working to improve their premises. You can sit outside in the summer and parties are well catered for.

Visited the Weaver on Sunday to watch the football, same as last week. The difference being the price of the beer, £3 a pint last week £3.40 this week. This was due to Arsenal game being shown,All the extra drinkers sat there drinking just one pint, if the beer was at the usual price they would have sold more, so they list money, by trying to be greedy.Used to be the best pub in Barnet, not any more. Each week the place is getting less drinkers.Seem to prefer to fill the place with kids and fighters.

Having been in this pub a very long time ago i was a little concerned about the recommendation. What a fantastic experience it was though. They have extended the place to hold a function room and it was booked at very short notice. The menu was traditional Irish and buffet and the hospitality warm, friendly and respectful. I think my Dad would have approved, his Wake was a very jolly occasion. Thanks ery muck Rose.

My husband and I had lunch there yesterday. We ordered 2 fish and chips and 2 cokes. I saw the prices in the shop window. 1 fish and chips £7.99. We had to pay £30. Maybe 1 cola was £7.00. and they don't give a receipt It's terrible that guests are being cheated. I hope no one enters this " first-class shop"

Nice bar. But, it's overpriced. Was in beer garden but was asked to sit somewhere else by staff member. Presumably, because I was trying to make conversation with a table full of gays boys and a few lesbians. Came in for a quiet pint but it's to 'woke' for me. A very bad experience. I'll never set foot in this bar again.
