Had a great night out with a big group of friends for a Christmas meal. As usual the food was delicious , and plentiful as well as beautifully presented with great menu choices The service was very good, attentive without being overbearing. The value is second to none. A special mention must be made to the little house shaped ginger sponges, so light and once you put the sauce on the taste was amazing, in fact one of our party said they wanted to bathe in the sauce. Considering this is college restaurant with students cooking and serving the food would not be out of place at an expensive restaurant, and I've certainly had worse service in restaurants that charge two or three times the price. Well done all.

Bishops has to be one of the best, if not THE best restaurant in Norwich. The food is beautifully presented, the ingredients are perfect and the combination of flavours are wonderfully thought through, balanced and gorgeous! Best meal I’ve had in a very long time! The wine list is also excellent!

This was a last minute break and thought we would try somewhere different to where we normally stay. We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. Our room wasn't quite ready so we sat in the beer garden and had a drink while we're waiting (we did arrive early) The beer garden is a lovely spot to sit and relax and watch the world go by. We stayed in the Sage room, which was a nice size, clean, and very comfortable. We booked to eat in the restaurant, and the food was exceptional, full of flavour, freshly made and good sized portions. There is nothing that we could really find fault with. My only suggestion is that maybe there could be an option for fresh fruit, yoghurt, and ceral for breakfast, having said that breakfast was good value for money. We would like to thank all of the staff for making our stay enjoyable and relaxing.

Had a lovely lunch here with friends and family. A lot of people book tables in advance. So beware at busier times. Plenty of tables spread over two floors. Great menu with everything you would expect. Friendly and attentive service despite being so busy. Lots of specials. Very family friendly.

My wife and I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to the chef and staff for a fantastic night for the service and food. The staff were professional and the food was outstanding. The staff were very welcoming and have great customer service. So once again thank you.

We had been customers here for many years but over the last couple of years we thought the prices had got a bit greedy so we’d stopped coming. But earlier this year they started offering Sunday lunch at £50 which was much more reasonable and good value for money. It has returned to a regular treat for us and I suspect many more previous customers. The food is still exceptional along with very good service. The staff know their stuff and make it a very relaxed and pleasant experience. You can book your table for anytime between 12 and 4 and you are not rushed. The menu is varied and you have a choice which you never used to which is a plus. And generous portions, you will not come away disappointed! We have booked again and have no doubt it will be excellent again and a regular treat.

Sat in the beautiful and quaint Bicycle bar and restaurant, where a true passion and joy for the culinary arts is clear as crystal. The owners, who are simply a pleasure to be around, are present at all times and have a profound understanding of what they offer and have evidently explored and experienced the world, which comes through so predominately in their offering of food, wines and other products. What was planned as a quick lunch out, my partner and I not only went for the full works, but in fact added an additional 4th course to our dining experience. I would love to go into detail about each and every dish individually, but ultimately, there's no point. Because everyone single one was better than the last, from starter to main, to cheese course and finally dessert. Every bite offered an explosion of vibrance and pure flavour, and the accompanying wines; perfect! A true statement of hospitality genius resides in The Bicycle of Tendring, Essex. I can confidently speak for all other lunch goers at the time, as it was beyond clear that every person thoroughly enjoyed their visit to this beautiful, relaxing, and ever so excellent venue.
