Wonderful service as always staff and students very polite and friendly. Food was superb steaks were absolutely amazing. Had a lovely lunch with our daughter. Highly recommend and such great value.

The college cafe where students learn chef and hospitality skills. A super time with friends enjoying their 3 course menu (for £10.50!). The students were attentive and efficient serving and the food was mostly tasty and well cooked. We will be back again I’m sure.

I dined at the Skylight restaurant in Harlow College on Friday 24th November for lunch with a friend. We were welcomed at the college reception by catering and hospitality student Nichole. Nichole was very friendly, polite and professional. We were seated and served by Kevin who did a great job at taking our order and serving our meals and drinks. He was very polite and regularly checked that we were happy with our meals and that we had everyting we needed. All of the resturant students were great, cheerful and professional. Our food was delicious. We both agreed that the Cheese and Onion soup, made by Shaun was the best soup we have ever tasted. If it was packaged and sold, we'd buy it!. For our main meals we had Cod and Chicken Chasseur. Both absolutely delicious, fresh and hot. I can't remember the name of my dessert, but it was so good. The food presentation was impressive too. We really enjoyed our experiance and we will definitely be returning. The staff/tutors were also very friendly. It did not feel like a training or teaching inviroment because of the professionalism and the way that both staff and students blended so well together. We went there for the first time today and will certainly go again. Food was great and quite good portions, we only managed 2 course. The service could not been better, very friendly and welcoming!

We went to the Skylight after we saw it on Facebook. Very welcoming and a nice restaurant with a bar. Our whole experience was excellent from the standard of the food complete with the service. The young students were keen to please and eager to make our visit a memorable experience. They were also able to explain their course when asked and where they are within it. Overall, excellent.

Great place to go to!! Great value for money. A simple day out for lunch.

I recently attended skylight restaurant and I found the staff were very rude. I watched the way the staff spoke to certain students, I found it was very patronising and it has put me off coming back.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere and a delicious lunch.

Just had lunch at the Skylight have been a couple of times before but today took two of our friends all said it was first class better then some of the top restaurants we have been too . Looking forward to going back very soon .

Had a lovely meal at the college this evening. Great atmosphere nothing too much trouble. Great tasting food and fantastic service. If you are thinking of going here do it you will not regret it. Fabulous food. Whilst supporting young people gain experience in the hospitality industry. Made to feel very welcome.

Delicious food that is always beautifully presented, there is a lovey ambience in the restaurant and the serving staff are always attentive. This restaurant is excellent value for money.

The Skylight Restaurant is on the Harlow College campus and is managed and run by young, enthusiastic young people who are ultimately hoping to make a career in the wider hospitality industry. The restaurant itself is modern, modestly sized but with a big heart. Guests can choose from a good selection of imaginative and staple dishes and each is reasonably priced. Is the service perfect, no it isn't but the waiting staff are keen to learn. The quality of the food and the cooking skills are perfectly adequate and no one should hesitate from eating here, particularly if you are minded to supporting local people rather than BIG multi-national me-too type restaurants and bars. Well done Harlow, well done Harlow College, well done the young people working there. We'll certainly come again.......

The food was top notch and presented beautifully you wouldn't get better in a five star restaurant. We thoroughly the evening and wines chosen complemented each course the students were very attentive in looking after us. We are never disappointed and are looking forward to our next visit very soon. With a special thanks to Jenny for overseeing the evening.

This place is great, it's a training restaurant, but don't let that make you think it's not good quality - it offers superb food, check their website and you can see what they are offering for the month, you can get a three-course meal for £10.50. It is beautifully decorated also which adds to the atmosphere. Real high quality, what a little gem! If you're looking for high quality at a low price, bring a couple of friends and not feel guilty after! You do have to go through Harlow College to access the restaurant, but you will be greeted at the main entrance.

Great service and incredible food for an amazing price, real bargain! The students in this training restaurant should be very proud of themselves, they will certainly excel when they go to work industry. Love the new décor. I will be back very soon!

High end dining at fast food prices! The quality of food is truly fantastic. The students do an outstanding job both in the kitchen and front of house. The new refurbishment is really stylish too!
