We wanted a sarnie and a cuppa on our way to visit St Peters on the Wall and chose this place as it was on the route…..more or less. We were so glad we did as we enjoyed generously filled sandwiches with full salad ( not just a few leaves) coleslaw and crisps and good coffee all at a very reasonable price and service with a smile. The cakes looked really good too.

Last minute lunch decision and first-time visitors, we were met with a very enthusiastic front of house lady who turned out to be the owner’s daughter. Simple but extensive menu ranging from Oysters and Wagyu steaks and burgers and a good very good wine list. Its reputation for Sunday lunches is huge – intend to try that next. Starters were different in a very good sense and all our plates were cleaned – already booked for a birthday party in late Dec.

Great find, very quirky little rustic cafe by a marina, inside and outside seating, basic food at good prices, the staff owners were very friendly 👌

Went for a Sunday lunch as had a personal recommendation from a former client. And we are really glad we went along it was only ten miles from where we live and often pass it on the A1 but never been in this time we made the effort and it was well worth it. All home cooked possibly with exception of the dessert but the roast and vegetables all local sourced and freshly cooked and what a treat, service was brilliant and friendly. They had only just opened up for lunch but we were happy to wait the plates nice and hot food with a separate gravy pot as well. would highly recommend ideal for families, couples, business people. clean modern and not a transport cafe so do not pass this one,

What a find. The food here is fresh tasting, seasoned well cooked from scratch and really appealed to my palate. This place is slightly set back from the road and was a little difficult to find. A big sign outside would benefit it as the current signage is not quite positioned to see it as you drive. Starter for me was Tolleshunt Knights fresh mushrooms on toast. Before the starter was served we were given complimentary small potato with bacon and maple syrup- delicious ! Main course was salmon and green beans-seasoned excellently and was served hot and fresh Desert was sticky toffee pudding- light & fluffy sponge, very good Our waitress was Abby who was very polite, friendly and professional Thank you Chef and Abby . See you again soon
