Webb Sandwich Bar in Forest Heath

We stopped at this interesting little town for a rest and some lunch to break up a long car journey. After parking up we stumbled on this cafe which proved a good choice for us. Basic surroundings but friendly service, we have no complaints, and were able to continue our journey.

Me and my teenage son stopped in her for some breakfast. We both had the bacon sandwich which was an excellent choice. Good food, nice coffee and service with a smile. What's not to like.

The food is great - I love the salad boxes especially. The woman who appears to be in charge (I may be wrong) was on the front counter today. She greeted me with a straight face. I smiled. She scowled back. She looked stressed and rushed off her feet, but she had no one else to serve at that time! I said, shall I pay now? She said "give me a minute!" She asked did I want all salad in my box. I said can I choose the items, please? She pursed her lips. This is how it was from beginning to end. I was worried about annoying her so I didn't ask for everything I wanted - just wanted to leave. A smile makes all the difference - Please :-) xx

Just picked up a meat platter for two and absolutely gorgeous, fresh meats , potato salad, pasta salad, side salad, three dressings, eight mini rolls. Also cakes, two scones, two chocolate brownies and carrot cake. All made fresh. Great value for money. Give this local business a try. See pics.

Huge variety of delicious salads and sandwiches. We ordered by phone and collected. Social distancing in place and the usual friendly welcome.

I often call in for some nice baps to take away.A good choice of fillings. If i eat in their salads are always good with lots of choice. The staff are always helpful and friendly The prices are very reasonable.

Don t know where the warm friendly greeting was - stood in front of counter and was totally ignored .whilst waiting to be served/shown a table a group of four walked in behind us and was seated straight away. The staff still ignored us just stared at us as though we was invisible a very strange way to run a business obviously did not want our custom - we walked out will use Rocha from now on at least they are customer friendly

Great food, tight hours. If you work full time its hard to get there during their opening hours. Would love to be able to grab a bite on the weekend.

I can’t tell you how happy I am I found this place when we moved here in September 2017. This place has the best sandwiches around. Their lemon cake is amazing. Their tea is amazing. Literally I could order anything on their menu and my taste buds would be more than happy. Good for family’s and couples or by yourself! Used to just take cash but now take credit cards as well! Love the atmosphere and the staff is simply darling. Every time we go in, they know all three of us and make us feel right at home. I’m telling you, this place is a hidden gem and should be on everyone’s radar!

I thought the service was good and I enjoyed my Panini... That was until I found 2 hairs in it.Not sure I'll be returning.

Food good and pleasant staff always helpful - if they can and you want it they will cater to what you want even if not on the menu - plenty of tables - Well worth the time to stop and have a latte and something to eat

Been several times for an informal lunch. Really lovely friendly staff, yummy food and great prices. A panini and fruit smoothie comes to around £7. Good children's menu too with options from £2.

Very friendly staff and excellent sandwiches freshly made to order. Also great to stay and have a coffee with lunch. No fuss just quick and friendly service by all staff.

I met with friends this week and had a lovely dairy free cup of tea, i got a proper two cup little pot of tea and a jug of soy milk. My tea was really nice. I also had non buttered toast with marmalade. very yummy! friendly staff and comfy seating.

Sólo recientemente descubierto este lugar pero desde entonces he estado dos veces. Las dos veces he sido muy feliz con la comida y el servicio que recibí. Este lugar tiene una variedad de sándwiches, pero puedes pedir cualquier tipo de campo que desea. Solo decir que no me enterara de este lugar cuanto antes.

Me sentí muy bienvenida tan pronto como entré en la cafetería, siendo recibidos por sonrisas y un verdadero interés en mis requerimientos. Me estaba llamando para café y descubrí que había una gran variedad de opciones, pero pronto la tentación de añadir un trocito de tarta a ese orden como había varias opciones. Mi elección fue la esponja de limón, una generosa porción de tarta buttercream realmente excelente con abundante y delicioso un deshielo. Pronto me trajo a la mesa de la ventana en el sol. Todo estaba impecablemente limpio y ordenado, con una decoración elegante y muy interesante y bien presentada, el personal contento. Un café se convirtió en una delicia.

He oído acerca de cómo los bocadillos eran deliciosos y decidí darle una oportunidad Webb. Estoy muy contento de haberlo hecho! El personal era agradable y entusiasmadamente me contesto mis preguntas. Había ensaladas, patatas fritas y patatas al horno también. Pedí el bocadillo de vacaciones y no nos decepcionó. Tenía turquía, salsa de arándano, queso y el relleno! Los precios eran asequibles y sándwiches hechos a la orden. Una rápida y deliciosa opción para comer, ¡volveré!

Generalmente mi almuerzo desde aquí pero panini baguettes o sandwich. El personal amable y comida fresca.

Been twice now and love their sandwiches. Grate for a quick, inexpensive lunch. Daily soups, desserts and they have coffee, smoothies and milkshakes.

Often pop in for a sandwich, they have an excellent choice and decent prices, not much more than the rub bush at BP for example, quick service when you are on the go.

Top notch A* on food, all staff have excellent customer service and all food is well priced. Excellent team and would recommend to all friends and family.

I am vegan so I can't eat everything on their menu but they are so very accommodating. They do a much better soya latte than Costa and it is cheaper. Their salad range is lovely and the service is first class

Popped in with the wife for a light lunch. I had a freshly made sandwich and my good lady chose a salad, both were very good and perfect for a quick healthy meal.The staff were all welcoming and helpful with very speedy service.

Back again after summer break. Tuna crunch is a winner without doubt. Options galore, and never skimp on filling which is great. Service with a smile too. Millionaires shortbread is the best!!

This is one of our favourite places to eat. The food is delicious and waitresses always remember our individual preferences; the service is excellent.One of the things I really like about Paul and his staff is the fact that they care about their customers and provide such good value in their meals.We recently discovered that Webbs also provide a really good buffet for family gatherings (when our girls and their partners are home to visit). There was a varied choice of food that arrived at our door and was appetizingly presented. We ordered a buffet to cover the number of people present (expecting some hungry men folk). We were provided with sufficient to feed us all and make a good meal with soup and leftover buffet food in the evening. How lovely to let someone else do all the work and at such a reasonable cost.

I love to go here for lunch, they have a good range of sandwich fillings, jacket potatoes and salads, service is always very good and quick.

The sandwich bar is in a lovely and historical building in the ancient market place, by the market cross and also attractive inside, having been tastefully decorated & furnished. The welcome was warm and the staff are happy in their work, which says a lot. Service was prompt and courteous and the staff knew their menu so they could help and advise. My husband & I chose meals from the menu, constituting main meals. The "chicken salad" that I selected was surely the most imaginative, extensive and fresh I have ever had anywhere. There is the option to choose precisely what one would like included or omitted otherwise a selection including pickles, couscous, homemade coleslaw, smoky chickpeas, beetroot, potato salad, noodles, chillis & rice, as well as the more usual salad ingredients, topped with chicken chunks, plus a portion of gorgeous granary bread on the side made for a good and filling meal. A big cup of excellent coffee completed my "light lunch"! Altogether, a pleasant experience which will be repeated often, I'm sure.

This place is delicious- you can't go wrong with anything you order. Do make sure you have cash on you- they don't take card.

The staff are so friendly always welcoming and the food is very good. They are a have a good choice of sandwiches, jacket potatoes, salads and cakes. All items are reasonably priced. I would recommend cafe to a friend.

It wasn't bad, very different from anything else in town! Cash only!!! There's an ATM next door if you need it.

Webbs has the best sandwiches in Mildenhall. The variety that exists among their menu is incredible, they're a great place to have lunch and you can even pick it up to go. Try everything that catches your eye, I've never been disappointed.

Love this place! My favourite is 'the favourite' panini! Chicken bacon mayo is the best & the homemade coleslaw. Staff all lovely & friendly! Definitely worth going!

I was treated to the delicious fare of an extensive finger buffet yesterday, by way of outside catering at a civic event, and now look forward to eating similar selections at Webb's Restaurant. It was beautifully presented, having been prepared only shortly before the party took place. Delicious soft white and granary bread was used for sandwiches, with a variety of imaginative fillings, garnished with salad leaves & sliced tomatoes. Extremely tasty quiches, as well as familiar inclusions, such as cocktail sausages with dip, potato crisps & dainty pork pies, satisfied the savoury need before one moved on to the delightful array of sweet items. These included little choux eclairs, baked cheesecake, milles feuilles, strawberries, chocolate chip biscuits. The quantities provided were ideal so that we all have sufficient without much left over so, as an outside caterer, Webb's should be first choice in this area. Apparently they were able (and willing) to produce this banquet at short notice and just as the proprietor was going on holiday. My hat is raised to you, Webb's!

We have had lunch many times from Webb's and at Webb's. It is always consistently awesome. The service is friendly and quick. A must try in Mildenhall!

Can be very busy at lunch time, so if you are short of time go before the rush.Always fresh food and the staff are always pleasant.

This is a great place to grab some lunch. It's located in the heart of Mildenhall. They have a variety of specialty sandwiches as well as the option to build your own sandwich. I don't remember the name of the specialty sandwich I got, but it was delicious. It was like Thanksgiving dinner wrapped in a sandwich. It had turkey, dressing, gravy...I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. The people are friendly. The service is quick. Come here if you get a chance.

We visited during a weekday lunchtime. Food was great, service was friendly, quick and helpful, prices very reasonable and the surroundings very relaxed. The only criticism I'd make is that they don't take cards, only cash and cheques. We'll be back!

I often visit here for lunch with friends or a coffee with my mum. It's absolutely brilliant the food is always fresh, well made/cooked and large portions! The hot chocolate never fails to disappoint. The service is friendly and the cafe is well seated and well kept / clean. Highly recommend going here

The holiday spectacular is something everyone must sample. It has all the flavors and body of a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Always come hungry because the soup of the day (doesn't matter what type of soup they are serving) is always worth it!

Have visited many years ago and we weren't sure if they would still be there, pleased they were. We had hot chocolate and a large drink of squash for our daughter. Our sandwiches were fresh with lots of filling( egg mayo and chicken, bacon and mayo) and a small side salad and creamy coleslaw. Reasonably priced and quick service. They also do paninis, potatoes and salads. A shame I can't visit every day as we live so far away.

I've visited Webbs many times since moving to the area a year and a half ago.The staff are always incredible courteous and so helpful when I'm struggling in and out with my pram. My drinks are always served hot, the caramel shortcake is a firm favourite, and they do the best ham and cheese toasties in town. There is parking just outside if you're nipping in to grab a takeaway. It's cash only and there is a cash point literally next door so that's very handy. And they open at 7am which means you can nip in for a caffeine fix before you head to work. The owners are always very friendly and welcoming and I would very much recommend Webbs if you're passing through Mildenhall. (Also, for mummies like myself they have highchairs, baby change facilities, will help with water for formula feeding and have a couple of big sofas so my baby can play with her toys in comfort.)

Great little place for a tasty lunch for a great price! They have super smoothies and hot chocolate too. Sandwiches are super and they have a good variety of slaws and salads to go with the meal.

Webb's is always an office favorite. Lunch is amazing every time. So many sandwich choices, and in the winter their soup is incredible!

It's delicious! Really I have never had a bad sandwich. I have tried at least 5 of the paninis and they are all really good. I highly recommend this sandwich shop!

What a lovely little place. I go in here once, sometimes twice a week with a person I support who has special needs. The staff go out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. They know what cake and drink we have without even being asked. The tables are always clean, the bathrooms are always clean, two very important things. they come and check that we are ok and if they are not busy will come and talk to us and ask how our day is and what we are up to. I can not say enough good things about Webbs. The prices are very good value for money without being over priced or the goods being cheap. I have tried a few of the other places in Mildenhall and always go back to Webbs as the service and staff are second to non.

Overall the food was okay, not anything to make me want to go back on a regular basis. However, I may go back just for coffee, tea and biscuits. The cappuccino was very good.The service was fine, but the atmosphere was kind of noisy because of the small dining room.If nothing else is open, not a bad lace to stop, but not great either.

Regular place for lunch during Friday market. They are great with remembering coffee and meal choices. 1/2 sandwich and mug of soup is a great deal.

I decided to visit this sandwich bar in Mildenhall today, after shopping in the local Sainsbury’s.I was very disappointed! Inside the shop the 3 girls (2 of them very young) took their time talking (the youngest chewing her finger nails) while the poor manager ran the shop. When they finally decided to serve me, I opted for a Vanilla Latte, which was lukewarm, and of poor quality. The toilet area was unclean and visibly needs a refurbishment, as does the attitude of the staff.In a nutshell a very poor café in Mildenhall, of which I can only hope Costa Coffee or Starbucks rescues this town and gives them a decent coffee shop!

We visit Webbs on a regular basis. It's the only place we would consider when in town looking for a coffee and a light snack and offers a welcome alternative to the other "greasy spoon" cafes that are in Mildenhall. Good menu with the usual baked potatoes and sandwiches but also a good choice of freshly prepared salads and light meals all at reasonable prices. Great food, but if your looking for a greasy fry up try one of the other cafes.
