Foundry Arms in North Norfolk

A thoroughly enjoyable Sunday roast in a wonderful village location for myself and my wife. A very warm welcome was given and although they were very busy we were given thoughtful consideration throughout. We will be back!

We wanted to go for Sunday lunch but were concerned if we went near the end of service that we wouldn’t be able to have a choice of what we wanted. Contacted the pub to ask if choice may be limited at the end of service, they said probably not but if we wanted to be sure we could pre order and they emailed us the menu so we could choose. This was above and beyond. Very impressed. When we went to the pub we received a very warm welcome and the service was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble, my daughter only wanted two of the veg that was on offer, even though it was all mixed together, the chef went to the effort of separating out the veg she would like so that it was perfect for her, again, above and beyond. The food was delicious, Sunday lunch good size portion, plenty of meat and veg. Also managed desert (just) which was gorgeous. Just wish we lived nearer so we could visit regularly but will definitely return if we are in this area again.

Staying in the next village over for a couple of nights with our dog and came across this lovely pub. We came in the first night just for some drinks and liked it so much we decided to come back the next day for dinner. The staff were really friendly and the pub had a great atmosphere. Food was delicious also!! Would highly recommend.

I've been coming to this pub every time I visit the area, the people who run this place have amazing customer service and the food is spot on, it's in a beautiful setting, today we had a roast and the waitress was amazing, also in the ladies toilets there's a basket with toiletries if needed, what's not to like about the foundry arms, GO THERE .

Quite simply.... If anyone wishes to know how a village pub should be run, just observe how this terrific example does it. Superb

Good quality food, cooked and served without a fuss. We had the lobster which was well presented and tasted great but was a bit small for the price, came with a basic salad and loads of new potatoes. It just needed a bit more effort, service was efficient and polite.

Visiting the area and after looking up a few pubs we decided to give this one a go. We were so pleased with our decision! The food was amazing! I had the crab linguine and there was such a generous amount of crab and it was so tasty. Would also recommend the apple pie for dessert. Decent options and reasonable price. Prompt serving. Staff were lovely (especially Freddie the pub dog). The actual pub itself had a really lovely outside space, beautifully decorated. Great atmosphere too. Really hope to return if we are in the area again.

So pleased we stumbled upon this gorgeous pub off the beaten track and decided to book for Sunday lunch. It has lots of outdoor seating decorated with pretty flowers. On entering the bar from the back car park/garden we received a very warm welcome and quickly shown to our table with our 2 small dog's which normally are quite happy to lay on their mat under the table but 1 was a bit fidgety so the landlady kindly offered her dog's bed. Dog's finally relaxing and our drinks order taken + menu left we soon realised it is a popular pub. We opted for 1 roast beef and 1 roast turkey with roast potatoes, parsnip, carrots, mange tout and garden peas plus a side of cauliflower and broccoli in cheese sauce ~ everything was presented very well plus tasted amazing. All the staff are happy even though it is very busy and nothing is too much trouble. Portion sizes generous. For puddings we decided on 1 sticky toffee pudding and 1 waffle which was decorated with berries, 2 scoops of icecream and drizzled in a chocolate sauce. Faultless. Booking advisable to avoid disappointment especially weekends and weekday evenings. We can honestly say we will definitely return. A big thank you.

Lovely lunch on a very hot day. We decided to stay indoors and all had some wonderful salads, lots of variety and delicious. Prompt and friendly service

First class food, friendly and welcoming staff, quiet location. We had a holiday cottage for a week in the village and the pub was 2 minutes walk! Our family of six ate dinner here twice and also had a takeaway. All meals were beautifully cooked and presented and between us we tried lots of different dishes. Starters, mains and puds all excellent. Even several gluten free options which is necessary for me as a coeliac. Large outdoor seating area as well. Highly recommended.

A wonderful meal at the foundry, 7 of us and certainly something for everyone. Pies were amazing, massive fish and chips and fantastic pizzas. Great service, great food.. could ask for nothing more.

Stopped by for lunch after a visit to Cromer. Welcome was lovely, and the food just delicious. Every morsel. Recommend the crab and lobster platters and the home made pie. We wish we lived closer.

We visited here on a Wednesday evening and the place was fairly quite. There was a nice warm, friendly welcome and were given a table by the window. We ordered drinks while we perused the excellent menu. We shared the cheesy nachos to start and our main courses were crab Thermidor and sirloin steak both were cooked to perfection and served by friendly, smiling staff. There is nothing negative to say about the Foundry Arms!

We visited the pub for lunch today to celebrate my Dad's 90th birthday. Very warm welcome and lovely food. Dad and sister enjoyed the sirloin steak and Mum and I loved the chicken fajitas. They found a 90th birthday banner which was a lovely touch.

We've stayed at Northrepps several times now and have never been disappointed having meals at The Foundry. It's so friendly with a good menu, we had dinner there on 3 consecutive days, the food is really good at very reasonable prices. Lovely landlords that you can have a good laugh with, other staff really good. Beware we will be back.

Wonderful food. A varied menu to choose from. We both had a really tasty homemade potato and leek soup followed by a scrumptious steak and mushroom pie with mashed potato and vegetables. We visited the Foundry Arms for lunch and were able to eat outside in the lovely sunshine. The portion sizes were really generous, the food tasty and the beer excellent. All served with a smile and good value too!

We booked here as it was our Ruby wedding anniversary the day after,the service was very slow and it looked like they had booked more than they could manage. I took us about 90 mins to have a starter and a main and my grandsons burger was cremated and to be honest after waiting so long he just eat his chips,they did knock this off the bill.

We visited with friends for the first time last night. What a little gem, we wish we had discovered this pub before now. Such a lovely, friendly atmosphere and the food was outstanding, definitely the best meal we have had out for a long time. All the food coming out looked so good! Great the dogs were welcome too.
