Have been meaning to update on this for a while... I gave stars previously but wanted the time, to sit down and write this review properly... so, the Harvester Windmill is absolutely wonderful, we go here regularly now....it a chain but this one is a good 'en, for sure... patient and helpful staff who always make us feel welcomed and cared for... they somtimes have issues by the salada bar area, a section with a leaky roof (not over dinners or food) it really dose need some maintenance... 'cum on Harvester owners, please pull your finger out and give them the means to permanently fix these issues... despite this the food tastes good and if you get the app you can get some good offers too... they also have a smaller 2/3 corse menue and early bird priceing on some dishes...there's a bar and two outdoor dining areas aswell. All in all if your ever in the area and fancy some classic dishes, or even a few newer ones as they do change from time to time... y'know what I mean tho right -- salad, meat, veg, good old grill cooking - give them a go! UPDATE- the roof is fixed, yay!

WOW, what an amazing lunch today, me my partner and mum could not of asked for anything better, the service from Lotty was amazing as always, so welcoming, friendly and always goes the extra mile to serve us. The food was outstanding it felt like Christmas in March, turkey toast, Christmas pudding, coffee and baileys. 5 Star across the board. We absolutely love it here every Sunday for lunch. We'll done to all of you. Keep up the great work Lotty your amazing at your job.

We came to the fish and chips shop obviously for some fish and chips and we got what we ordered. Service was slightly slow, but what do you expect from a friendly and talkative cashier. It's a small business and is rarely busy.

We stayed overnight on 12/05/25. The hotel is beautiful inside. It has a lovely front terrace where we had brunch and drinks. We also had dinner inside at night. The food was delicious. Our rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable. The manager Paul was very helpful and friendly as was Dan who served us breakfast. Well done guys

Absolutely dreadful afternoon tea from beginning to end. If I had the option I would have rated this zero. This was a family afternoon tea - 5 adults and 3 children. On arrival I was told that the kitchen was closed; there was an Eastenders function in the garden. Cold coffee was served after 30 minutes - we asked for 4 coffees but received 3. After 4 requests for the missing coffee it arrived. The children’s tea was unimaginative - chocolate spread and jam on white bread. After the tea was served - again one was missing. Again asking for the missing tea this arrived 45 minutes after the time of booking.?staff were unattentive - all wearing their own casual clothes. After writing to the hotel they responded with asking 2 guests to return for another afternoon tea at a cost of £45. I will definitely not be accepting this offer.

What a great pub! Went for a long lunch and was greatly impressed with the choices on the menu. We had the prawn tempura sourdough toastie, yuzu mayo and salad… wow was delish! Prawns perfectly cooked, still crunchy, salad fresh and with a lovely dressing. Followed by dessert and coffee, all to a high standard. We were made to feel at home by the excellent service provided by Ben, thank you, nothing was too much trouble. We have already put our next visit in our diaries.
