The Green Dragon in Hertsmere

First time here and wasn’t disappointed. Welcome was friendly, service was excellent and food was great. I was with two friends and we all ordered different things off the menu and it was all delicious. Would definitely return.

Once again I had lunch with friends here yesterday and once again the food was sensational, worthy of a Michelin star in my opinion. I eat here at least once a month and I’m never disappointed. I can’t actually fault it all. A great welcome, wonderful ambience, terrific staff and superb food. It’s reasonable too. Give it a try, you won’t regret it.

Went their for Sunday lunch last weekend. Food was horribly bland. Worst fillet steak I’ve ever had in my life, it was over cooked, unseasoned and even burnt on the edges…I ordered medium rare. The calamari was bland and tasted of nothing. The main guy (staff/manager/owner) was also kind of rude and unhelpful.

Efficient booking service. Courteous welcome. Sat in the garden Room. The fish and chips were awesome. Fish pie special was sensational. As was the wine and the desert. All a great dining experience

We have been visiting Barnet for 25 + years and just found The Green Dragon on this year’s visit.Great food,great atmosphere. We’ll be back on our next visit!

This is a lovely pub with a great friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. We have sat outside previously which was lovely, unfortunately due to the British summertime weather we had to sit inside in the conservatory today, however this didn’t disappoint and was still a great place to dine. The food without a doubt is the some of the best food I’ve ever tasted! It’s not just pub grub it’s restaurant quality food. It’s delicious and the presentation is something you’d see in a top London restaurant! I’ve been lucky enough to eat at some lovely places however this would definitely be my top place to pick! Thank you to all the staff for making us feel so welcome with excellent service and the chef for the fabulous food, can’t recommend enough!

Returned after a while due to a bad experience and had a lovely afternoon. Amazing food, great drinks and a very attentive team - especially Megan who was fab (and concocted us a very tasty drink😍) Will be back!

I booked the Green Dragon, Barnet to invite friends and family to gather for a meal and drinks to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday, based on the reviews. I was not disappointed. Michael Jackson, yes that’s his name, the manager was accommodating, friendly and organised. The staff were efficient, friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them, especially Megan who worked tirelessly for our large group. The food was amazing and did not disappoint. Even the connoisseurs in our group were impressed. Every dish was full of flavour, well presented and good sized portions. This is a great venue to have a meal and drinks, the outdoor space is well organised with shelter in the event of rain. Inside is spacious and clean with well placed seating. There is adequate parking. We will definitely return.

Food was lovely - went for the Sunday roast and didn’t disappoint. Amazing sirloin beef with all the trimmings. Ordered extra cauliflower cheese which was worth it! The only thing that stopped this being 5 was that some of the staff could have been more attentive. On arrival we were just told “Through there - the table in front of you” rather than being shown to the table. We also nearly received another tables desert a couple of times! Regardless of this the ambience was of a lovely country pub and the food was tasty.

Visited the Green Dragon for Sunday lunch and the food was amazing. There were six of us, and all the meals came out together, and were piping hot. Our waitress, Ellie, was excellent. Thank you for a great visit, we will be back soon.

Visited today after a first visit a couple of weeks ago. Again it didn’t disappoint.Really good, well presented & tasty food served by a friendly & efficient staff.Nice surroundings, good food, & great staff. Prices are reasonable too. Will certainly return as soon as we can.

We have been here a few times. Went for a family meal. Food was excellent, tasty, well presented and good value for money. Staff were very friendly. Highly recommend

We went for the Sunday Lunch which used to be excellent and warranted their boast to have “the best roast potatoes in Barnet”. However, something here has definitely changed…and those changes seem to have begun in early 2020. The food is nowhere near as good as it used to be: the sirloin beef is poor, the chicken is dry and the pork belly is fatty with no crackling. The roast potatoes are now no better than a Wetherspoons would serve up and the gravy is weak and thin. It’s a real shame because it used to be a credit to Barnet. The current manager (possibly also the landlord) is not at all welcoming and seems determined to make you feel like your presence is ruining his day.

Good food, drinks & service. Could not be faulted. Spot On! Wish we lived closer and not 200 mile away!

My family and I always love going to Green Dragon as the food and service is always fantastic, and once again they didn’t disappoint yesterday.I am surprised by the review regarding vegan options, as I was in the pub when the reviewer asked what options there were. The manager informed the waitress that though there were no specific vegan options the chef would be happy to accommodate and create what he could. I can verify that, having taken a vegan friend in the past, the staff and chef bent over backwards to ensure my friend was happy with their food.It’s a shame the reviewer decided to storm out without actually listening properly, they missed out on what would have been a great meal.

I collected my daughter from hospital this afternoon and was looking to treat her to a nice lunch. We saw this pub and pulled in. The pleasant waitress sat us at a large table then the manager told her in short order that we had to move as he had a larger group booked in, fair enough we thought so moved to a smaller table telling the apologising waitress not to worry. My daughter who IS vegan enquired vegan options and the waitress went to ask. We then heard the “manager” tell her if they are that fussy tell them they can leave. Unsurprisingly we did just that, explaining to the staff that we had heard what was said and were very unimpressed. The annoying thing is my daughter is very undemanding and would have settled happily for chips and peas or a salad. Also this pub claims here to be vegetarian and vegan friendly, obviously rubbish. I have never experienced such poor service in my life.

We hadn't been here for yrs but had been told it was well worth a visit. We went at 6pm on a Sunday evening and were pleasantly surprised at how busy it was inside. The staff were really lovely, friendly but efficient. We had 2 very tasty starters, mushroom and goats cheese spring roll and fishcakes. Both were gorgeous. Then we both chose steak , sirloin and rump with chips and cauliflower cheese. Everything was fantastic, especially the steak, best one I've had for ages. A little hidden gem, we'd definitely go back

Sunday Lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Excellent outside table behind the restaurant at a table complete with parasol. Overlooked a beautiful , rural setting. Roast food was very well prepared and presented by 2 most friendly staff. Am most happy that this establishment (which we frequented occasionally before lockdown) has survived thus far. Strongly recommend that you patronise them where possible.

Very disappointing. We’ve eaten here several times before and it’s been great. The food was very average and made the price far too high for what it was worth. We politely gave feedback to the manager who responded in a defensive manner and showed no concern for our experience. He didn’t offer any acknowledgment as to our good just saying they had not changed the chef or their products and they are highly recommended which we don’t doubt. It was the manner in which he responded why this review is so low. He did not even offer take off the service charge which we chose to pay anyway as the waitress was very nice. Usually very food but doesn’t hear feedback or respond well. Sorry to say that we will not return. Poor experience.

Visited with friends on a Wednesday evening as the sun was setting. The countryside views at that time were amazing.Few items unavailable ( clearly due to their popularity) but the squid starters, steak mains & more than made up for it, as did the service from Iman which was exceptional (she deserves a pay rise & a promotion!!)Looking forward to returning with family & friends.

Have just returned from a lovely evening meal at The Green Dragon in Barnet. We could tell from the car park that it was a very popular venue and chose a table inside. Having said that, the tables were well spaced out and all the relevant Covid Regs were being adhered to. There were 4 of us and unusually in one place all the starters, mains and desserts were delicious. The beef cheeks starters and goat cheese with pannéd poached eggs were lovely as was the gnocchi and the portion size was excellent too. Having seen that fillet steak was on the online menu I was disappointed to find it was no longer an option at the current time since the re-opening but I was pleasantly surprised by the Sirloin which was really nice. Also the two ribeye steaks tasted beautiful and were cooked to perfection. For dessert two of us had the delicious Hazlenut and chocolate brownie and were amazed as there were plenty of nuts in which isn’t always the case. The sticky toffee pudding didn’t disappoint either with the beautiful toffee sauce. We all commented on how lovely everything was. The prices were very reasonable and coming from ‘Up North’ we were plenty surprised. All in all the staff were very friendly and efficient and the guy in charge seemed to co-ordinate everything seamlessly.This is no ordinary gastro pub so you won’t be disappointed. When we are down this neck of the woods again will definitely pay a visit.

We had such a great meal and the service was fantastic. Really nice location and lots of shelter to sit under during covid restrictions. We’ll definitely be back - highly recommend the crayfish and crab fish cakes!

My parents joined us after this very long lockdown for a meal at the Green Dragon. We were initially situated towards the rear under the heaters (upon my request). My father took a walk and saw the beauty of the field & wonderful outlook so asked if we could relocate to the garden area. Despite being so busy the staff took this under their wing & our request was very quickly accommodated.My parents had traveled from Derbyshire but also have an apartment in Covent Garden so used to experiencing the best cuisine in London. My father has now asked if I can book again for his next visit into London as stated he experienced exceptionally good food. He also commented that this must be a sold out venue during the summer months as an A* setting for Al Fresco dining.It was great to see my parents after lockdown and so fabulous that you guys made them so delighted with food, service & setting.Thanks & much appreciated!

Took the family for lunch here on Sunday, lovely food and lovely staff Michael and the team are really nice and can't do enough for you. The service and the food are absolutely spot on, We will be back very soon. Highly recommend.

Went to the green dragon for lunch with a couple of friends.I have to say the food was amazing ( croquettes and squid were stand out starters), and the staff were so friendly and professional that it made for a great afternoon, i can see why it was so busy even for outside dining only.Will be returning soon.

We came on Saturday everything was amazing as usual and in particular wanted to mention with the weather being so bad, the staff and manager bent over backwards to ensure me and my family were under shelter. Thanks again! Will be back very soon.

Went to the Green Dragon on Sunday for lunch. Heard it was nice but exceeded all expectations.Food was amazing as was the service. Never waited long for a drink or our food. Manager made us feel special even though we’ve never been before ( think his name was Michael ). Will be back ASAP!

Fabulous food and drinks as always, fantastic service and an enjoyable meal start to finish. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the sun garden is the perfect place to outdoor dine. Overall, very impressed as usual and cannot wait to return again soon.

Took my mum (along with my dad and auntie) for dinner for my mums 55th birthday - had written in when booking for covered seating, which we got, and had asked for them to make it special if possible for my mums birthday. This could have been them saying happy birthday, them smiling or being a little kinder than usual.. not much to ask for. My dad took some flowers for them to bring out for the table and had to go in twice to remind them to bring them out, again.. not much to ask for but was hit with an ‘oh I forgot’.. :/ we were sat at our table for an hour and 15 mins and were told we had to move because they had a booking for our table we had even though there were tables with people who had been there for way longer than us.. bigger tables and lots of empty tables! The lady who had told us this said tables are for 2 hours only.. even though we had 45 mins left to enjoy our time there and at least let our food go down, was then discussing us with another person who had their backs turned to us and made us feel very uncomfortable. We agreed to move to another table around the corner to have a cocktail and try and have some nice family time. We spoke to the manager who was so rude to my mum and was raising his voice at her which was just unacceptable. Very upset and angry with how he spoke to her. This place has always been a special place to us as it held so many memories of loved ones and special times in our lives and it’s sad to say we will not be returning. The food was decent and 2 members of staff were lovely but sadly they’re the only positives I can pick from it. It also stank of animal poo! Because of the field.. not sure if they have any control over that or not.

Two of us went there for Sunday lunch. It stank sitting outside of farm manure and my appetite was gone. Additionally we were sitting next to splashes of gross orange birds' droppings on the wall of the building. All quite disgusting.Food : my starter of goats cheese was actually very good. My roast pork was not. The pork was hard, the cracking was not crispy, gravy was tasteless and watery (just need more gravy powder - it is not difficult!), and worse still the parnips and carrots were so hard that they could not be cut through with a sharp meat carvery knife. There were several strips of cabbage. Potatoes and Yorkshire was fine. Expensive and poor value, you can get much much better Sunday lunch in Barnet town centre for 30% less money. Service was ok, I did tell the waitress the vegetables were not edible and she said she would tell the chef. May be I just could not eat properly because of the gross farm manure smell! We will not go again.

We have eaten Al Fresco at the Green Dragon since the latest lockdown reopening ... approximately 3 times a week ... through sunshine, icy wind & rain! The reason being it is one of the best eateries in North London / Hertfordshire with fabulous chefs & front of house staff. Recommended starter ... Most amazing squid we have tasted & definitely compares to that enjoyed on our Mediterranean holidays. Main course recommendations ...a midweek burger ... Friday night fish & chips & Sunday lunch is totally best in the area with fantastic tasty home cooked roast potatoes. There are also regular specials on the menu! Fabulous & recommend!

Excellent food and fantastic service in a nice countryside surrounding. All the staff were friendly and attentive and the fish was great. However, knocking off a star as pre-Covid they used to do a lunchtime set menu which was cheaper, now it is just a la carte. Whilst I appreciate businesses have lost money during Covid lockdowns, it makes the Dragon less competitive than other restaurants who still do this in Barnet. Will definitely be returning though.

Outside area / Garden . Terrible garden, All the plants in the plant pots are dead, furniture , tables and chairs in shocking condition. Visited last summer poor then. Really surprised not changed. Had a year to upgrade or replace. Really not a nice area to eat outside. Very surprised the worst pub in Barnet for outside garden.

Very nice pub in Barnet area doing delivery at moment! We had very tasty Sunday roast beef with roast pots, carrots and parsnips, also cabbage which my Mum loved! Friendly people too and well worth putting on the 'to goto' list once lockdown is eased!

We had a fabulous Valentine’s Day roast dinner delivery - it was great quality and great portion size too. We have had deliveries from The Green Dragon previously during lockdown and can highly recommend them. We look forward to visiting the pub when restrictions are lifted.

We have ordered take away roast dinners from The Green Dragon twice now and both times they have been fantastic! We have collected once and had a delivery also. The food arrives on time and is still hot. Thanks, we’ll definitely be ordering from you again.

Curry night, excellent , all very nicely cooked with proper servings! ready exactly when arranged. I have been to this pub before and always had excellent food and service. The Classic Car Club I organise have had our Xmas meal/ meetings there twice now and all was fantastic, with great menu and service... Hope the Pub survives as there are too few as good as this..

Excellent food from the ever consistent Green Dragon. Lovely curry, had the lamb and a veggie curry. Not a morsel left. Served up exactly on the time asked for.

Really good take away curries! We had the lamb and chicken curries with excellent side dishes and rotis. Freshly cooked and generous portions with friendly service, would recommend.

Don't be, we had an absolutely cracking roast from the Green Dragon a week ago, restaurant quality, well presented and piping hot when served. Looking forward to trying the Curry Pop Up, and yes, definitely another take away Sunday Roast.

I had booked to go to the Green Dragon for Christmas day lunch Unfortunately we moved into tier 4 so this was no longer allowed Nick @ the Green Dragon offered a take away service on Christmas Day I booked my time slot and it was ready for me when I arrived along with 2 bottles of wine & crackers packed in a lovely gift wrapped box I only live 10 minutes away & it was still piping hot when I arrived home It was delicious Thank you to all those who worked on Christmas day I appreciate your hard work

Brilliant. Went for Saturday lunch today. The menu is extensive. Every dish was tasty and the service warm and friendly. We are coming back for more please.

My partner and I came here for dinner last night for the first time and we absolutely loved it!The restaurant itself is stunning and had such a wonderful warm and cosy atmosphere. We ordered humus and bread then I had the cod fish cake starter. Beautiful! For mains I had the Halibut and I can honestly say it was the best Halibut meal I’d ever had. We were so full by this point so asked if we could wait a while before ordering desert which the staff were fine with. Eventually I had the honeycomb cheesecake and it was delicious! The wine was good and my partner enjoyed the mulled wine. We were not rushed and it was just a chilled relaxing evening. The only thing I would change is where we were sitting. The room we were in was lovely but we could hear the chef calling out all of the orders which ruined the atmosphere a little. Also we had three servers who were all lovely but they all came over and asked us things that the previous server had asked us so a few times we had to say we had already ordered drinks etc... This place is not cheap but it was worth every penny and we cannot wait to come back again soon. Would definitely recommend it!

We have used this great place for takeaway Sunday roast throughout this last few months.The tuck has never been less than first class,well presented and provided with charm and professionalism.These guys have managed to transfer their highly successful in house operation to another area.Support them in or out in the coming months ,you will not be disappointed

We have frequented this establishment a couple of times a week since the first lockdown The food & service is excellent with special mention to Elena & Micheal .... Also the ever famous cocktail guy (sorry I don't remember your name) is fabulous!We will continue to frequent provided these guys are part of the team.I am sorry that you will close on Thursday but rest assured due to you wonderful chef will be ordering delivery. First time we visited, we found the food to be really exceptional and service fantastic. It was shocking so few people were in supporting this wonderful gastro pub. We will definitely become regulars now! They added benefit for us was we could bring our dog and they were just as attentive to him! Highly recommended and the venue is beautiful, clean and welcoming.

As the title states, the roast dinner was disappointing. For £17.95 the roast beef really was substandard. My beef was ridiculously fatty and my partner's was cold. The Yorkshire puddings were covered in grease and the gravy was so thin it was see through! In all fairness, I did enjoy the mixed vegetables and roast potatoes (although they are definitely not the best in Barnet; The Gate has better). The service was hit and miss, it certainly didn't warrant the service charge added. We would have mentioned our disappointment to the management but it was difficult enough just to grab someone's attention for the bill. £43.12 for two poor quality roasts and a large bottle of water.

Simply outstanding. I can't fault anything about our meal. All the food we chose was fantastic but i can safely say the steak far outstrips any other steak we have had (and we have sampled many). The service was amazing too thanks to Oliver.

We hadn't been in a while, like most people! Their current promotion on Tuesdays is a sharing plate option. We had 4 plates between myself and my wife. They were all fantastic, chilli prawns ( great sauce for mopping up with bread!), lamb meatballs (scrumptious!) , blue cheese potato rosti (yum!) and the pork belly ( delicious!). Just enough room left to share the sticky toffee pudding (excellent!). Wonderful service too, so would thoroughly recommend trying Tuesdays! Great idea, and worth backing local eateries! I went for lunch last Friday (21/08) with my mum and my 84 year old grandmother- her first trip out since lockdown. I booked a table online easily. When we arrived, the server asked if we would like her to wear a mask, to which we said we were happy for her not too as long as she kept her distance. They were very accommodating in finding us a suitable table away from any drafts from the strong wind outside and provided a cushion to make my grandmother more comfortable. The food was lovely and the service was excellent. My grandmother thoroughly enjoyed it, as did we. We have visited in previous years and will definitely be returning.

We have eaten here before and food was ok. Sunday lunch though was very disappointing. We expected more and better quality for £17.95. My meal was not great but my wife's was really poor. It took the waiter a second to realise it had to go back which begs the question how could the kitchen have sent it out. Vegetables were non existent and you claim on the menu that you have the 'best potatoes in Barnet' sorry not even close. It would have been 1 star but apologetic waiter was good enough to take one meal off the bill. I guess it's back to the Gate for us.

The staff are so welcoming and also had an assistance dog which was no problem at all show me to the table food was amazing I had Breast of duck with Roast potatoes butternut squash and it all was truly amazing

I came for lunch and wow the food blew me away the menu vas changes and has so many different top combination of food and mixture of cuisine. Definitely I recommend this place !!

First time post lockdown. Safety was uppermost in my mind and it felt as safe as could be. The weather wasn’t kind and we were indoors but well spaced. Service was excellent and the menu though limited compared to previously was still very good. Recommended.

Last night was the 5th or 6th time we’ve visited The Green Dragon. Each time the food has been fab and the service excellent. Covid friendly with a wonderful atmosphere. Huge shout out to Jo who always makes the meal fun (and is an efficient and charming hostess).

As it was my friends birthday, we decided last minute to go out for lunch. Because of the Government scheme we were not sure we would find a table, but after one failed attempt elsewhere the Green Dragon found us a great table outside in the shade. The menu was different to what we had seen on the website, but that is not a complaint. They were doing a selection of small plates like a tapas. They also had a burger choice for those who wanted something a little more traditional. My friend had the burger and said it was delicious. It came with chunky chips and did look great. I had chorizo with chunky bread, garlic mushrooms and cauliflower and macaroni cheese breaded balls. It was all delicious. It is the way I love to eat, tasters of different things. My only 2 regrets are that I couldn’t persuade my pal to join me so I could have sampled more choices and that I was too full to try the desserts. I will clearly have to try it again!

Had a delicious meal with friends having booked an outdoor table because of COVID19. However, our waitress didn't wear her mask pulled up properly when she was right next to us, serving drinks and food, and also we had to queue to pay inside the pub building as apparently there isn't enough signal outside for the card machine to work. Maybe that could be addressed?

We’re going there often for drinks but never tried their food until yesterday. It was absolutely delicious. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Can’t wait to go back for another lunch or dinner !

We decided to choose The Green Dragon as our first foray into post-lockdown eating out. I had been before many years ago and it’s always a pub that I mean to go to and forget (party because of my younger children and the proximity to the main road). So we chose to meet some friends and took my 12 year old daughter. I had the roast and she had the burger and both were delicious. Pudding was a highlight too with a good range of choices. It was such a delight sitting outside with wide open space in front of us we could’ve stayed all day. The big umbrellas kept off the rain during a brief shower. Thank you to all the staff who were attentive and reassuring

Went today for our Aunties 80th birthday meal having not been before. Lovely quaint little pub in the countryside. Very pleasant staff from booking the meal to attending to out every needs. Had some starters (Chorizo, Squid and Crayfish/Lobster) followed by the lamb, steak pie and fish/chips, all really lovely. Everyone enjoyed the food and our Auntie had a great day in lovely scenery.Thanks again to the staff for the friendly welcoming experience.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 4th meal last night in this establishment post lockdown. We sat in the garden which is a beautiful setting where you can imagine you are in the countryside outside of London. The food has been absolutely amazing on every occasion. I would also commend the front of house staff for amazing service especially given the constraints in place. Service is efficient ... always with a smile and have felt completely comfortable dining out here given the situation. Also a special mention to the young waiter that delivered our food last night. I understand that it was his first night ... so polite and did a fantastic job looking after our table. We would never have guessed it was his first night ... the young gentleman looked after us like a professional & experienced waiter!

We went out with friends for our first post-lockdown evening out. We ate outside as it was a beautiful summer evening and the al fresco area overlooks fields and it is a lovely outlook.We have been there before, so knew that the food is good and the service was excellent and very friendly staff.Easy car parking, all covid protocols in operation and adhered to.

A friend and I met for dinner last night. Tables were socially distanced and party times staggered so there weren’t many of us there at the same time. One way system in place. Staff all wearing masks. We kept our menus and these were disposed of when we had finished. Food was delicious as usual. Felt very safe and secure, thank you all at the Green Dragon.

Thank you it was my husband's birthday during lock down and this take away made it a bit of an occasion for us, it was lovely and we will certainly be booking table for a meal in the near future. Thank you to all the staff.

Everything was hot, my steak was perfectly cooked (as was my husband’s fish) and the chips were to die for! Portions so big that we ate the rest for lunch the next day. Big thumbs up, highly recommend

Excellent roast from the Green Dragon yesterday. Lovely setting for a pub so very much looking forward to coming back and enjoying the beer garden when it opens again.

Really impressed with the service and quality of food from The Green Dragon this Sunday. Absolutely delicious roast dinner (beef and chicken) well packed for collection. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Lovely drinks at good prices for purchase too. So pleased this small local business has been enterprising and kept going during lockdown.

The Green Dragon has put a reassuringly brilliant system in place for takeways in this current climate. Their Sunday Roast was as well packaged as it was delicious! I would definitely recommend them.

Our first takeaway roast - it was excellent. Everything beautifully cooked and was given to us in recyclable and/or reuseable containers. Very efficient time keeping for our pick-up slotWe will use the takeaway service again and we do use the restaurant to eat in during more normal times - we really like it. Very enthusiastic team

We ordered 4 dinners and puds on a Friday night for my mum’s 70th birthday - the meals were absolutely delicious and home delivered to us (a total blessing given we are all self-isolating and couldn’t leave the house) - they really made my mum’s day. Can’t recommend the green dragon enough!

Having dined in at the pub on several occasions before lockdown we were delighted to discover they were offering take aways during this time. No contact delivery the food was left outside the door and it did not disappoint. Warm and ready to eat on arrival it was delicious and a welcomed treat. We will definitely be ordering again soon!

If you're missing a traditional pub Sunday roast, I would definitely recommend the take-away service offered by The Green Dragon. Safely handed over (in these covid times), and still hot when I got it home, the roasts were all delicious as ever, and a great treat for the family!

We dine a few times a year at the Green Dragon and have always been delighted by their food, service and consistency

Before Coronavirus we visited from time to time and it was all good. When the pub was closed the management switched to delivering meals and we have had 6 altogether all of which have gone down well, particularly the sticky toffee pudding.

We ordered our first Sunday roast from The Green Dragon today. As described, it came with all the trimmings including the best roast potatoes in Barnet! The pick up was booked in at a mutually agreed time (they can also deliver) and respected social distancing rules. They even managed to satisfy my request for a gluten free meal. Great job, Green Dragon! Highly recommend! We’ll be back!

We had a roast delivered on Easter Sunday and it was superb. It was still hot when it got here, the packaging meant the meal was intact when it arrived and it tasted amazing!

As we are fairly local we often dine at the Green Dragon and were very happy to hear of their new venture in take away meals during Lockdown.

Enjoyed delicious takeaway steak and fries for two. Cooked to perfection. Arrived on time and piping hot. Added bonus, sides of tomatoes and greens. Highly recommend. Lovely to have a night off from cooking!

We had an amazing Sunday lunch today. The food as always, was excellent especially as it was a takeaway. Would highly recommend to anyone eating in or takeaway.  Very cleverly packed to transport. Did not need to heat up just served on heated plates.  The lamb rump was absolutely gorgeous. The roast sirloin melted in your mouth. The roast potatoes were crispy. Yorkshire puddings were light and fluffy.
