Nice food clean n tidy place overlooking the park n lake gets busy with lack of staff orders must wait to be served, get more staff guys at busy times

We come here all the time and it's always wonderful. We had a terrific server by the name of Chris the last time we visited, he was extremely patient and kind, so big shout out to him for making our birthday party even better with his fantastic customer service!

Our waiting staff Chris is very helpful. He told us to download the Harvester app to get 25% as a gesture for our sign up. We have saved 25% which is so amazing. The food is lovely. The salad bar is healthy and we can top up our salad. We are very happy with the services provided by Chris.

Our server Lily was AMAZING!!! So helpful and was very kind to us. Food was fast and order was correct with no issues. Lily made sure we were well looked after.

We were looked after by Yasmin who was very attentive. The food was good and the self service salad bar was great.

We've been to this Harvester a few times, traveling from Welwyn Garden City, and every visit has been fantastic. The service is always stellar, and the food never disappoints. The manager and waitresses consistently go above and beyond to ensure a great dining experience. Their friendliness and attention to detail make us feel welcome every time. It's clear they take pride in their work, and it shows in both the quality of the food and the excellent service. We always look forward to coming back and highly recommend this Harvester to others!

Service was great from the moment we walked in. Our waitress Yasemin was perfect straight off the bat from taking us to our table to giving us the bill! Food was also delicious as usual and the salad bar is always a plus!

We go here every Sunday for breakfast, sometimes we go with our teenage sons, sometimes as a large family group but mostly we do a breakfast date. The food is always fresh and hot. Staff are always welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended xx

Nicest Harvester to.eat out. Food is really nice. Staff are nice and welcoming. Toilets could do with renovating. However restaurants is fairly Well presented. This is a nice Harvester and we will be returning.

First time here and it was lovely. We was first in so salad bar was fresh. We had off the lunch time menu, it was cooked perfectly.

Amazing food!! Chicken Tikka flatbread on the new menu was fantastic - staff were so good with my children and sung happy birthday to my daughter which was so kind!

Called in Sunday lunchtime not busy food arrived quickly and was ok helps having parking free when you put your registration in tablet

The experience from being greeted, seated and the customer service was excellent. In particular Rahim in the way he explained all to our varying 10 family ages from 6 to 78. He was so attentive, patient and knew all the products. The efficiency of bringing out the drinks and then having all our food at the same time was just so good. Likewise, so was the food. A massive THANK YOU to Rahim and all.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch here. The service was really good and food was delicious.

Good food ...and, even more importantly, excellent service from our waitress Chloe who listened patiently to our allergies and dietary requirements and made several helpful suggestions on the most suitable dishes ...plus she ensured no cross contamination on our salad by providing it fresh, without a trip to the salad bar :-)

We attended as a family, the service was exceptional, with all my allergies being considered, and Archie, our server, was very thorough in checking my food options to ensure they were allergen free. Archiecwas efficient, friendly, helpful and very patient with my 6 year old. Would definitely eat here again.

Rahim was great from start to finish, his service is 10/10! He was quick to our table and to take our order near enough as we sat down. The food is great, cooked perfectly and a “healthy” sized portion! Always a good shout going to Harvester, has never let me down.

Got served by the chef due to waiters ignoring two large groups. Waiters proceed to be clumsy and misunderstand our drink orders. Dessert and food was good, took a while to get them. (Couldn't imagine if the place was busy that day)

Awful experience and very bad customer service. Not only we waited more than 45 minutes for the food, but the waitress was rude and didn’t even bring cutlery. Won’t come back again

The worst place the tables and chairs were dirty very rude staff, my food arrived in 50 minutes I ordered a Hugo Spritz that did not follow the recipe at all The park was very nice but the local...it looks as if the employees do what they want and no one supervises them +++ they have inside a gambling machine...

First time visitor at this particular restaurant & haven’t eaten in a Harvestor in almost 10 years. I now know why that it! Probably the worst food I’ve ever eaten at a restaurant. Had the Calimari & breaded mushrooms along with some chicken wings for starters. The chicken wings were fine but everything else was tasteless & boring. It didn’t taste fresh. I ordered the mixed grill which came with a steak (cooked rare). It was the toughest piece of meat I’ve ever had. At least the beer & wine served with the meals tasted fine. The staff were pleasant but no level of service would entice me back. It will be far longer than 10 years before you see me back in a Harvester restaurant.

A dive - it has so much potential but is horribly run. The place is a mess. Empties everywhere, food being eaten by birds and covered in flies in the garden. Blocked and dirty toilets. No clean glasses. Half the beers run out. Staff barely speak to you. A dive. (Note the cut and paste reply to this review, they don’t care.)

Really did not want to come here as Harvesters nowadays have a bad reputation and several friends made rude comments, but my friends who we went with had booked a table. I was surprised as to good it was and was pleased, straight off, to see a 5 star health rating on the door entrance. We were shown to our table and served by Archie. An extremely pleasant and attentive server. If we went there again, he would be the person we would want to serve us. The food came in good time and was nice and hot. 3 of us has the chicken and I had the ribs. No one had any complaint. We started with the self serve salad bar which was well stocked and excellent choice. We did book this through Groupon who had a coupon but they had an offer on anyway which made the meals very reasonable. We will definitely return. Don’t forget to ask for Archie as your server. Also no tip was added on the bill so it was up to us as to what we gave which was 15% because it had been so good. The restaurant is set back from the road in the High Street Potters Bar and we saw it soon after we drove past it. Don’t forget to put your car number plate in the computer for free parking although the staff warned us to do it as soon as we entered.

We came in earlier today for a meal, the food was lovely. Our server Abi was amazing! Super professional and helpful with any queries. The rest of the team were also friendly and efficient. Super time, will defiantly be returning.

Don't go here for a sandwich. They only do full.plates of food. Nice coffee but was left a little hungry

This is our regular go to for lunch on either a Saturday or Sunday. The food is always great and we always leave full. There's good space around the restaurant and it doesn't feel over crowded. The only thing I would raise is that sometimes, depending on who is at reception, the person who shows you to your seat could be sometimes unhappy or cold towards you. On one occasion I was stood there with my wife and daughter whilst the person behind the counter was on the phone for a long time. After he got off the phone he just walked off. I then waited with the family but as he didn't come back I searched for another waitress / Waiter so that they could help show us to a seat. Most of the time it's not the case but just something to be mindful of.

I've dined at this restaurant a couple of times, and had the same consistent experience. While the food is generally decent, the service is consistently lacking. It's clear that the place is severely understaffed, which really impacts the overall experience. The staff that are there do their best, but they’re clearly stretched thin, leading to long wait times and a lack of personalised service. On my last visit, it took ages just to place our order and receive our food and drinks. The servers are friendly but overwhelmed, and it’s disappointing to see such potential wasted due to poor management. This place could be great with proper staffing, but as it stands, the service just isn't up to par. Would love to return if things improve, but until then, it’s hard to justify coming back. I don’t normally write reviews, but it’s clear something has to change here. EDITED TO RESPOND TO THE MANAGEMENT: Unfortunately, the management responded with an automated message (it is similar to all the other negative reviews), which only confirms my concerns. If they had actually read my review, they would know that this isn't a one-off experience—I've mentioned that it's been a consistent issue across multiple visits. It's disappointing to see that the management doesn't seem to care about addressing these problems and appears unwilling to make the necessary changes. Until they start taking feedback seriously, I can't see the situation improving, and I wouldn't recommend this place unless things change!!!

The food was good and our waiter was always helpful and friendly.

What a brilliant experience! The service was excellent , our waitress was attentive, patient and delivered all our requests perfectly. The steak was cooked to perfection, it was so tender. Portion sizes were large. Salad available at all times. Desserts were gorgeous! Atmosphere was quiet, cool. We will be returning. I highly recommend.

Had a lovely afternoon with my husband. Salad bar was fresh with some unusual dishes for a change. We both had the Haddock and chips, very pleased fish was really fresh and tasty. Treacle pudding (off the scale). Nice summery drinks too. Served by the very attentive Rahim. Thank you for a special afternoon.

Had a few bad experiences in other Harvesters so reluctant to go but my girlfriend convinced me and loved it, definitely changed my opinion on Harvester but that being said, they are quite understaffed and it's a shame because service can be a little hit and miss but besides that, all good!

Father's Day .. My little daughter invited me to Harvester...what can go wrong? First, I didn't know you couldn't get a table if you didn't reserve one before you got to the restaurant, we were lucky enough to find one in the bar area.Food come pretty quick. Small portions for the prices. Chicken was good

Yas was a great server - helpful and made sure we’re comfortable. I have a severe allergy and she was really careful and reassuring. My friend had her little girl with her and Yas made sure she was well looked after too. Great visit.

BLOODY CHICKEN 🤢🤮 Chicken was served with blood in it all inside the meat and along the bone when I cut into it I was totally put off and did not want to exchange it for anything else. I showed the staff and the chef and was told that's how it is 🤮 Chicken is not supposed to have any blood in it once thoroughly cooked through properly that is how you get food poisoning. This was not just small traces of blood I cut into three different pieces of the chicken and found blood in all three 🤢 Even my 5 year old son said the food did not look fresh when we went up to the open kitchen and saw the chef cooking it on the grill near the salad bar. NASTY, at least we were given a refund but Never Again will we be going there I am not sure how this place is able to serve a piece of chicken like this. I wish I took a picture. One lady who worked there even had the audacity to tell me that even if you were to cook the chicken for 2 hours it will still have blood in it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 when I heard that I knew there was no point even wasting my breath 🙄 bye 👋 Maybe they thought I was having a steak and forgot to ask me how would you like your chicken cooked Sir well done, medium rare, rare or VERY RARE 🤣🤣🤣🤢🤮 Response from your reply - this was not a vein from the spine this was raw red blood in three different places and after reading some of the reviews as I thought maybe it was just me I saw that someone has actually caught food poisoning from Harvester Potters Bar DISGUSTING

Great food and service when we went. Only moan was a large group celebrating a party, who did nothing but moan, find fault with everything. They made the poor servers life a misery, but she was extremely professional. Will definitely return.

Today for Father’s Day myself and my family was served by a wonderful lady Willow, she has an amazing personality, laughs with the customers, has a great smile on her face and has customers feel welcomed and comfortable while dining in this restaurant, thank you so much Willow for the amazing experience most definitely recommend for everyone to come and dine here!
