Last time we went roast beef was a bit too rare for my liking had to ask for it to be medium.

Nice place well managed bistro pub/ dinning,good atmosphere clean &tidy ect

It’s Always been good when I’ve been here, never a bad experience at all. Food has always been great and service spot on.

Lovely pub! Really enjoyed my Sunday roast here. Staff were so friendly and attentive and food was delicious.

Went to the white horse tonight with my fiancé and our friend and we brought our dogs too we were instantly welcomed by the manager of the establishment Ben he made us feel at home and feel so welcomed, we had ordered some food and we were instantly impressed by the food how it tasted and looked was an amazing experience will definitely be returning soon 10/10

Amazing meal at The White Horse, Shenley! The Dirty Burger with fries and halloumi was perfectly cooked. Chef Noah was friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate. Highly recommend!

Our food and service was 10/10 as always between Gemma Matthew and tom front of house to chef raddu and chef Noah in the kitchen we had a superb evening with all our friends (we were a table of 6) one of our friends is vegetarian and ordered the stew she didn’t like it and it was replaced immediately and she loved her replacement. Vegetarians are hard to please lol love love love the white horse and it’s staff, food and atmosphere second time in a month we’ve been and we will be back thank you as always Mike and Paula hickey

Amazing Sunday lunch-just go. Now. Gravy and beef out of this world. Desserts sublime especially the sticky toffee pudding and rum. Lovely choice of drinks and great ambience.

I returned on Saturday and the lovely Gemma was my waitress. Gemma is a lovely lass. Really lovely lass. She always makes sure we are happy with the drinks, food and service. She is the reason we keep returning. Lovely pub/restaurant. Food is always delicious. Toilets are clean. Highly recommended venue.

Booked a table and phoned earlier in day to change time for 30 minutes later - confirmed as ok. When 2 guests arrived 10 minutes earlier than party of 4 - a very unapologetic and unhelpful young lady behind the bar stated that the booking had not been changed and they had given the table away as they hadn’t changed the time - totally their fault! Terrible experience and unprofessional business behaviour - basically virtually said well we’re full so nothing we can do - even though their mistake!! Be warned! Will not be returning or recommending!!! Need to improve booking service and customer care In response to your reply I was one of the guests that arrived and did not receive any form of apology. if an apology was made I would not have written such a negative review as I am not in the nature of complaining for no reason and have had previous good experiences of meals before this in your pub which is why it was such an unexpected and disappointing experience.

White Horse Shenley offers a lovely service by their Assistant Manager Gemma. Food is delicious, service is just amazing. Will definitely keep coming back.

From the moment, we walked in, we felt welcome, the atmosphere was warm and chatty, with little furry friends allowed in. We were greeted with a smile to whoever we talked, but our server Benjamin made our experience even more enjoyable. He was friendly, quick to help, nothing was too much trouble for him. We ordered seafood linguine and burger and both were good, I would definitely recommend this pub whether you are after the food or just a drink

Octopus tentacle for starters off of the Special menu, followed by a braised beef. The food tasted great but service was a bit slow (I ended up going to the bar to get drinks as the waitress was rushed off her feet). I would go back again.

Nice log burning stove, lovely decor and very spacious. Only came for one drink but enjoyed the vibe.

The customer service is excellent here frpm the minute you walk through the door. The staff are helpful, very friendly and accomodating. The atmosphere and decor is cozy and welcoming. The food is absolutely amazing its freshly cooked. I would definately recommend the pan fried wild scallops and the pan roasted harrisa crusted lamb rump. I definately will be coming back here again to dine. It's a 20 out of 10 for me.

Great bottomless brunch and the service was great from Ellie, our drinks kept flowing and she really took her time to cater to our needs. This was after our wreath making wich was very enjoyable, despite our lack of creativity. Ellie and the team made this a lovely afternoon out

The staff especially Ellie were so friendly and made sure everything was perfect. The drinks were fantastic, and the food was fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented.

We had our work Christmas party and Ellie and the term were fantastic. Food was great and they were constantly checking what drinks we wanted. I can’t recommend their service highly enough.

Lovely atmosphere, good food and great service from Gemma our waitress, well worth a visit if you fancy good quality pub grub and service like it used to be.

Roast dinner came out cold, returned it and was back out in one minute microwaved. The tiniest steak and chips for over £30 however was nice. Tables piled up with dishes people clearing themselves. Staff standing around behind the bar. Such a shame as gorgeous open fire it looked so cozy. Won’t be back. Been hit and miss over the years. Definitely miss currently.

If there was an option for 0 stars, I would give it. I ordered a vegan meal and they gave me real cheese and denied it 3 times. When we asked to see the wrapping, they brought out a vegan spread (very different to thick goats cheese on my tart)! If answered on the first occasion, this wouldn’t have been an issue. Anyone with food allergies / intolerances / preferences - avoid.

We had a wonderful meal for an 80th birthday family celebration. The food was delicious and catered to different dietary requirements, the service from Gemma was great, and we loved the cosy snug which had been decorated beautifully. Thank you so much to everyone at the White Horse for making it such a lovely occasion.

The White Horse has now upped their game!! The Sunday trio lunch, was excellent. Like us we have not had Sunday lunch for some 4 months. Come back and try, you won’t be disappointed 5* food and service.

Update review. Visited yesterday and the lovely Kimmy looked after us and made the day extra special. Recommened a starter I've never tried, and it was one of the best rhings I've eaten in a very long time. Great pib, great food and some of the very best staff too! Jolie has looked after us the last couple of visits. Not only is she fun to talk to but she is knowledgeable about the dishes and wines. An absolute asset to the White Horse. Food here is always good too.

I highly recommend the White Horse Gastropub in Shenley. Thank you Gemma for catering to our need for a private space for our party of 11. One of our family is still shielding and one in a wheelchair. We have members who need a gluten and dairy free meal and every effort was made to reassure them the meal chosen was safe for them to eat. The food was delicious, the staff friendly and helpful and the bonus was the large car park.

Have been to this establishment several times. Whilst I have not eaten here recently (even though the food looks great, especially the Sunday roasts). Staff are really friendly and a great atmosphere.

This place is so good: family dinners, catch up drinks with friends , anything you would want to celebrate Kimmy was so nice and we loved her recommendation I particularly love the aubergine lasagna , only bad thing it was too small 😂 Highly recommend

What a find, beautiful pub and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had an enjoyable lunch. Food was very good and the menu had such a good choice. A guy called Ben who I think maybe the manager served us, what a great asset to the pub he is. Highly recommend and will defiantly be back.

Nice pub country style pub. The food was tasty, but overcooked hence 4 stars for the food. Generally, the staff were attentive, however Kimmy shone above others with her excellent attentive and friendly approach ensuring we were well looked after. Looking forward to a return and to trying other items from the menu.

We had a lovely experience here for my daughter’s birthday, the food was great, the staff we SO accommodating for my 7 and 3 yo, and they made my daughter feel very special with a birthday song and card. We will definitely be visiting again!

Dropped in for a drink, and it was a great spot! I didn’t try the food this time, but I’ve heard it’s really good—definitely planning to give it a go next time. The open fireplace gives it a cozy vibe, and the staff were friendly. Plenty of parking too, which is always a plus. Perfect place to kick back and relax!

Not what it used to be. Walked into an empty pub/restaurant and the server had to "check" they had a table. It was still virtually empty when we left. Very average food considering the price.

Oh dear, despite the good reviews this pub sadly disappointed. Went for Sunday lunch and pie was served frozen in the middle. On second reheating efforts the filling was piping hot but the pastry so tuff I could barely cut through it. Nice enough pub with reasonable ambience

Ahh yes, the white horse, one of those classic pubs in the UK, this is a very nice pub with a well designed interior making it cosy and comfortable, wonderful food and very nice staff, especially Gemma. I personally still would go to weatherspoons over the white horse but I would go here for special occasions, but none the less a great pub!

I came in for fish and chips I didn't have a long wait before I was seen by Gemma she was very polite and kind. The fish was succulent and rich in flavour and the chips were cooked to perfection.

Went for lunch on Wednesday and as always the food was amazing, atmosphere was lovely and Gemmas service and attentiveness was perfect. Thank you.

We had my father's wake on 19th September. The management were sensitive and helpful in the lead up to the event. We had a really lovely time, which is a real achievement, given the reason for the gathering. Everyone said how much they liked the food. The space was perfect and the garden (helped by some really good weather) was a real bonus.

Did not have food today, just drinks. Gemma was a great host. We only had to tell her our round once and she kept the drinks coming all evening. Highly recommend.

Gemma was absolutely fantastic, the food and drink was great but Gemma was better! Honestly never felt so happy in my life. I don’t live locally but I will most defo totally be going back there probably to enjoy this Gemma experience again. She is completely professional, whilst remaining friendly, she went the extra mile literally!!!!! She made me a superb coffee it really woke me up, tasted like the best coffee literally ever. I could go on. Is there a better human being on the planet? Actually one more thing Gemma is a princess with a capital p
