So sad to hear you are closing. Have always had excellent service and family always find a meal to enjoy. Our waitress who has been there 34 years was excellent.

Been going there for a long time. Always great food, excellent value and lovely service!

The service was ok ,tobe expected in a cheap restaurant, the starter was ok ,the 12oz steak with a extra added on £5 supplement was worse than awful, disgusting, I ask for a well done steak, it arrived with terrible cold onion rings and cold peas, the steak had blood dripping out of it and it was full of grissel, absolutely awful , I did get £5 off the bill , the waitress was a lovely girl ,she could see the problem, and told the manager, we didn't see the manager, we just paid the bill with £5 off and left , the chef or the manager didn't even come over to our table and see what was the problem, they left it to the waitress to sort out , and I felt sorry for her as she was just taking the orders and delivered the food .. The manager should check and make sure the food is upto a good standard, as my meal clearly wasn't up to scratch.. It was vile . ..

It is only worth a visit if there is a discount deal applicable.

The bread rolls could be used as cannon balls, the Salad bowls are so small you can't choose more than three items before it's hull, My chicken was over cooked. My wifes steak was spot on, The supervisor told me the roll arrived already stale, WHAT! Madness

Better than mill hill service and atmosphere food so so

Have visited Harvester Windmill in Bushey many times with my late Parents, my Partner and enjoyed everything they have to offer! Suddenly I find that this once very popular Harvester will be closing down and replaced by a soon to be over hyped restaurant chain called Browns. Think you are making a huge mistake with pricing out ordinary Family people who look to The Harvester as a good affordable value eating out establishment to visit! No one seems to know when Harvester will be closing and least of all your wonderful Customer Service staff! Apparently the staff were only told end of July as the unofficial last day of trading which is no way to treat your staff who themselves have Families to feed and bills to pay. Yet another example of not making anything affordable for the working person anymore! Stephen from Bushey.

Slow customer service , poor food hygiene practises , waiting timing is unacceptable. I wrote a complaint through their website and they were more interested in defending their actions. Also I find you are divided based on how you look and the colour of your skin. Disgusting for 2025 behaviour. This was my final response. Thank you for your prompt response. From what I’ve gathered, it appears that the individual who addressed my complaint is more focused on making excuses than acknowledging a customer’s experience and how it impacted our visit. Your handling of the situation has certainly ensured that we will not be returning to Harvesters Bushey, nor will we subject ourselves to such disappointing behavior from its management again.

Staff always friendly and polite. We are very shocked and saddened to hear that the harvester in Bushey is closing down and Browns are taking it over doesn’t makes sense when it’s always busy

Food was fine, ranch dressing on the flatbread doesn't really compliment the meal We didn't receive a checkback during the meal Once meals were finished we waited for ages for plates to be taken. We had two staff members walking past a dirty table until a third person came and cleared the table. We then had to get up and search for someone to process our bill as we were left waiting Pricing isn't very competitive compared to other restaurant chains, will probably look elsewhere for next meal out

We were very disappointed with our experience. The service was completely disorganized – there was chaos from the start. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we had to wait a long time for a table, as there was no one available to seat us or take care of guests. When we finally got our food, it was bland and lacked seasoning. The overall experience was frustrating and unsatisfactory. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place.

Ordered our food at 6.15pm it did not arrive until 8.00pm not acceptable

Visited this afternoon for lunch, three of us ordered the 1983 combo and all of the portion sizes were completely different. When I asked why I had less than my mother on my plate I was told that’s just how it comes. The chicken was also extremely dry and not enjoyable at all. Really disappointing because I usually enjoy harvester.

8 of us had a great meal . Our server was super 👌

Excellent friendly helpful staff! Salad bar is always fresh, chips came cold with the main meal but the amazing waitress swapped them straight away for fresh, hot chips - would recommend eatting here service was fantastic.

I am absolutely amazed at a staff member. I was there Saturday and Sunday evening and her work ethic was outstanding! Not only did she ensure I was ok , I was observant enough to see that she was helping every member of staff, including a manager on shift, working the bar , running food and cleaning tables to help others . Credit should be given to Gabby and she is a credit to your company.

Great place and friendly waiters

One thing I will say, is that getting to the restaurant at night time is very annoying as the harvester sign isn't illuminated; it is incredibly easy to miss your turn (which we did). As for the restaurant, service took very long. It was a while before our order was taken and food took a longer than average to arrive, bearing in mind we came on a random Tuesday. When it did arrive, one of our orders was missing an egg, and the other one had to return the steak twice as it was cooked incorrectly both times, so it ultimately ended up being taken off the bill as they couldn't cook it correctly (we asked for medium rare, it came back rare). There were kids running around the restaurant which was a bit noisy but other than that it was quite cozy and clean. Waitress was nice. Food was ok but some issues with texture. Ribs were lovely this time around, but the chicken and peas were very dry. Overall a very mediocre experience.

Visited Harvester in Bushey today and was told that they were fully booked but every table was empty and i was turned away by the very rude asian man at the front but I checked online and every time was available ???! Then I went to Garston’s Harvester and staff there were so polite and helpful I will be using Garston in the future !!!! Don’t recommend this place they can keep their empty tables and attitude as I won’t be returning 🤣

This evening we decided to go back to the harvester after a long time .We were greeted by the lovely Sebastian we said we wanted a quiet spot as it was busy ,he explained to us we could sit in the bar area and order there.We were more than happy to do this .We ordered far too much (chicken skewers which were lovely ,but we ordered 2 each )The Chicken was cooked perfectly.Sebastian came over to ask us how the food was and we told him we were really pleased with the portion size and presentation.What a lovely friendly person. .Just added to our evening experience of dining there. I was so dissatisfied with the food. It was a horrendous experience that left me with stomach aches and nausea. Im pretty sure I had an allergic reaction to the Belgian chocolate brownie, and I have no allergies. Say away from this dump for the safety of yourself and family, and so your toilet stays in one piece. In a few words it was one of the worst nights of my life, in the restaurant, and on the toilet. In fact it was absolutely diabolical in the restaurant toilets. There were croutons on the floor and walls, holes behind the doors and urine covering the floor. The only reason I so very desperately needed to use this outrageous excuse for a bathroom, which has some resemblance to a cats litter box, was because I had explosive diarrhoea, which I had indeed obtained from the food because I used the restroom before I left t go the this tremendously dangerous and disgusting waste land of a harvester. The toilet paper was thinner than air, and my hand broke though multiple times, meaning that I needed a very intense hand wash. I didn’t bother flushing, just to show others what they were in for. My honest opinion on this place is that I would rather eat gecko poo than come back here, as I would not end up pooing as much waters I did after this cutting of hell itself. Not to mention the price, which was extraordinarily high for a steaming pile of crap. Yours sincerely, a diabolically served customer, who just ran out of toilet paper.

We are from Cumbria and staying in the area for a few days. Decided on tea at a harvester as I had a child eats free voucher from Octopus Energy. Booked a table online. Car park was busy on arrival but managed to find a space. Waited a few minutes for our table. We were served by Margaret and she was very friendly and welcoming. The food we had was excellent and we couldn't believe the size of the kids meal - huge as were the deserts. Would come back again if in the area.

Misleading Promotion & Poor Customer Experience I am extremely disappointed with the misleading promotional offer at Harvester Bushey. The email clearly states, "Kids eat for £1 at half term, including weekends," which was the sole reason we chose to dine out. We even checked T&Cs to make sure offer applies on the weekend and its not limited to certain branches, yet upon arrival on the same day, we were told it was not valid on weekend Misleading customers with false promotions to drive traffic is not only unprofessional but also legally questionable.We enjoyed dining here many times before, but this experience has severely damaged my trust in Harvester Bushey. I hope this issue is addressed, as disappointing loyal customers with misleading information is not the way to build trust. And not being on the same page from head office promotions to customer service staff just looks unprofessional.

Food was not great. Chicken burger not cooked too well. Jacket potato hard inside and out. Fairly busy and not well attended by staff. Previously on a number of occasions we have had great food and service. Not sure what went wrong on this occasion although I didn’t recognise any of the staff members

Had a lovely lunch for two today at the windmill. Always happy to come here and always delighted to be served by our lovely waitress Maureen. Always so welcoming and makes sure we are happy. Hats off to the chef as well for working hard to make such lovely food.

Three of us went for lunch at Harvest Bushey today. We had a very bad experience from a waiter called Taylor. We walked in and stood by the door for a few minutes but nobody came around. so I walked into the restaurant to try and find out if any waiter/waitress was around to sit us down. A man with a name badge called Taylor came out and said: Did you not see the sign to wait outside??, we explained that we waited for a quite a while already with nobody coming out. He was very abrupt and rude. My husband wanted to leave, but since we already drove 6 miles to get there I decided to stay. For the duration of our meal, Taylor never showed any smile at all, fortunately we had a lovely waitress called Jamie serving us. She was so pleasant and helpful. Taylor's behaviour ruined our lunch experience at this restaurant.

Today, we were served by the lovely Maureen who always has a smile on her face and doesn’t rush you….my pet hate!! We live locally and dine here regularly, all staff are always polite and very helpful. The food is always well prepared and tasty.

It was cheap and has a great atmosphere.The food was affordable but delicious!! I recommend this place if you like western cuisine. The waiters were extremely friendly and helpful! It had a lively atmosphere that felt nice. u could make your own salad if u had a main and the salad is totally free and unlimited!! There’s a children’s menu too, it is for children that are 12 and under, it’s delicious and the desserts are scrumptious! The food didn’t take too long to arrive. There is a free parking lot outside, and the parking lot is next to the entrance which makes it convenient for car. I definitely recommend this place.

Firstly, there were NO disabled bays to park & I am disabled! We were only offered the full menu! I knew that Harvester offers a 2/3 course lunch menu, but we were only given this when we requested it! Our orders were taken & salad bowls brought to us. We got our salad & had only just got back to the table when our starters were given to us. We were only less than a third way through our starters, when our main courses were given us. All the food was given to us in a 5 minute period! Sadly all the food was cooked badly & I had to leave most of my meal. We love the Harvester chain & are loyal customers. It was a 1st time visit to this one & it is definitely the worst Harvester we have ever been to. I will be contacting the Head Office to register my complaint & hopefully they can make sure improvements are made!

We had booked a large table for twelve people and our waiter Taylor couldn't have been more helpful. Everyone was happy with their different, choices. Would recommend.

Walked in after a very long day at work. Had perhaps one of the best steaks I've enjoyed in a very long time at a Harvester.

Absolutely amazing food, great service and great price deal. In 20 years I have not eaten better ribeye steak. Chef Zoe was excellent, Callum, lady serving us Chelsea all need recognition. Posh restaurants can hide, we found our gem and will come back!

This harvester is clearly going downhill I used to be regular the last two times have not been good. Food not as advertised and certainly not good value for money had to send back. Very disappointed won’t be going back

Went to the Bushey Harvester on Boxing Day. The food was nice. Took a while to get served for everything but I get that it was Boxing Day so quite busy. Our waitress (Bruscetta) was lovely. A few went home before dessert as was getting late. On the Internet it looked like the hot drinks at the end were included in the 3 course meal as online it was included in your choices. At the end we got billed extra for the hot drinks which actually most of us didn't really want as we was full up but as we had ordered them already we had them anyway. When we questioned the manager about this she was really unhelpful and gave me a number for head office which is unreachable. I have emailed them since and have had a few replies with the assistant manager agreeing with me that it looked like the hot drinks were included. Now they are saying nothing they can do about it. Very poor customer service.

If you love a cheeky Harvesters then The Windmill is the place to go. We have about 4 other Harvesters that we can drive to easily, however the quality of the food, aesthetics and staff are highly disappointing. Strangely I would have put The Windmill in this category before, after travelling there for breakfast a while ago to be told they didn't have a chef. Wayne and the KM have come in and managed to turn this place into a very high standard restaurant in no time. The Windmill is always busy and sometimes that can put people off but please don't let it here, as the aesthetics and cleanliness of the restaurant are kept to a high standard, the staff from the bar, the kitchen and the waiting staff are always friendly and happy to help where possibile and have great knowledge of the dishes they offer. The salad bar never looks like a bunch of hillbilly's have ran through it, remaining replenished when required with fresh and tasty salad options, additional toppings and sauces and lovely bread rolls. I love the new Wing and Wave main course, and I always order my steak medium well which worries me in a lot of restaurants as its hard to cook perfectly...But not here! Shout out to the amazing chefs for achieving a perfectly cooked steak every time. Cuts like butter, fresh quality ingredients and mouth wateringly delicious. Wayne and his team definitely deserve this review and I look forward to the next visit very soon. So if you're in the area or fancy that cheeky fairly priced date night or family night, The Windmill is definitely one to visit. Always remember to download the harvester app and get the card stamped before you pay to enjoy the offers and bonuses!

We visited the Harvester without booking on a Thursday night (16/01/25). The service was brilliant, the atmosphere was lovely and the food was fantastic! Zero complaints from us!
