Great Service & Great Food, a very good visit

Visited as two people on a Monday lunchtime did not book in advance seated straight away our server Jaime was very helpful and friendly. Food was served quickly piping hot and well presented, would say the area around the salad bar was slightly messy (was towards the end of lunchtime) but had no concerns about hygenie. A nice restaurant for a quick bite to eat.

Started a bit off but after speaking to some staff members about our concerns things were sorted out.. in the end it was pleasant.

We had an amazing experience at Harvester Windmill at Bushey. We got served by Tyalor, and he is an amazing fellow with excellent customer service. Loved it!!

Food is ok. Sad to say on the many occasions I've been there that it never really improves. Recently visited the Aylesbury Harvester a couple of times and the food has been much better there.

Went here for the first time in 10 years and it has gone downhill is all I can say.

Went for a birthday meal with family and we had a lovely time! Taylor and Maureen were incredibly friendly and attentive and made our afternoon meal very enjoyable! The only downside was the aircon wasn’t working so it was quite hot in there, but overall we had a great time!

This harvester has got to be up there with one of the best, it isn’t even my local harvester but I travel to bushey as the food is amazing, the staff are so down to earth yet professional, I’m unsure of the girls name but she’s amazing, always has a smile on her face, great with kids too. Maureen is also lovely. Can’t fault harvester bushey.

We all had steak we wanted ribeye but they run out we had sirloin Iwe all said not fatty but that’s how it came I sent mine back to show cook I would like to know what he would of said if I only paid 3/4 of bill because that’s what I got also they didn’t fill up salad bar so not much left

Dog friendly outside only unlike some other Harvesters. Food was good but very slow to arrive as we're the drinks

Myself and my partner came here last night we had salad buffet to start the salads were not looking its best all low levels of salad not topped up coleslaw looked brown and off the quarterd tomatoes were slimey spoke to a chef who was refilling bowls to change and make fresh and walked off totally ignored at felt unhappy 🙁 wasn't the best salad cart ever bread rolls looked dry and not fresh soggy . 2nd time here in 3 years

We had a really lovely experience yesterday sat 20th July- we were served by such a lovely waitress, she was so patient with our table of adults and two babies, I wish I got her name! (We were on the table at the far end of the restaurant in the corner) please extend our thanks to her! We would definitely return, the salad bar is a bonus!!

We were seated quickly even though it was a busy Bank Holiday weekend, our order was taken relatively quickly & we were happy with the service. We felt that there was a good space of time between each serving & didn’t feel rushed. Our server was pleasant, polite & helpful. There was a little delay in getting & paying for our bill but we weren’t in a hurry so it was fine. Overall, it was a lovely meal, The Windmill staff were outstanding and we’ll definitely be back again!

always enjoy an event dinner, lunch here. Prices are so much and portions so much smaller, but thats the great British shrinkflation for you, but still enjoyable every time we visit. Salad bar still a bonus so can't complain.

Restaurant area ok, but could be generally cleaner. Cutlery needs to be checked for cleanliness before putting out. Toilets needed a deep clean - only 1 out of 3 dispensers had soap (ladies). However, staff were pleasant & attentive, & food was fine.

Not been to a harvester for many many years so decided to give the one in bushey a go, food was excellent and staff really nice and friendly, only real let down was the outside of restaurant (front garden)where it could do with a bit of a tidy up and a lick of paint

What a lovely Harvester, everything is clean, the service is impeccable. Larah was amazing and friendly. The food was fantastic. We will definitely be visiting on a regular basis. Parking was easy, as car park on site. ♥️

Service is always good at The Windmill, staff are friendly, I must compliment the chefs who work hard in the background, the dishes are always presentable and taste good, salad bar workers too do a fantastic job. What you can improve on, it's a long shot but now you need to introduce dishes from around the world, bringing in customer from different diversity. HARVESTER HASN'T CHANGED IT'S MAINS MENU FOR YEARS. THIS THEY NEED TO DO EXPECIALLY FOR VEGETRIANS

The restaurant were accommodating as we took our puppy. We got a table outside of the restaurant. The food ordering was fairly convenient where we had to scan a QR code which also took payment. We had some problems with the ordering app. The Assistant Manager, Irina was very helpful in resolving the issues. She was proactive in asking and helping with our order. The food was was fairly good value. The was plenty of parking when we went.

Not my favorite Harvester we prefer either Garston or Croxley

Have not visited for 3-4 years. Food has improved, restaurant has received a face-lift. Staff very friendly but there needs to be at least twice the number of staff in order to clear tables faster and issue more serviettes and check on customers more regularly. Otherwise, it is quite enjoyable for the price. Recently, since Jan 2022 has improved on quiet nights. Jan 2024 still great. I enjoyed it all. Good value with a 40% off voucher. June 2024, great service and fresh food.

Maureen, as always, is a delight. The food is excellent and the service is great.

Our server went above and beyond by advising me that my first choice of meal was not great. The meal I opted for was delicious and I was so grateful for her advice. She offered this advice before she knew it was my birthday, but afterwards she brought my Sundae Best with a candle and sang Happy Birthday which my parents joined in with! She really made my day and we all had a great time.

We were served by Maria today - lovely service and an all-round great time. Food was great, atmosphere is nice and relaxed, and the staff were happy for us to stay and chat at the table for as long as we needed after the bill was paid. Thank you very much!

For being a vegetarian, there is very very poor choice in this day and age. For us it would have been salad bar, jacket potato and chips. I think there was burger. We simply walked out

I've been here a few times, however on the last occasion, I would say it wasn't the most enjoyable experience because of the service. If someone is given a dirty bowl and they tell you that it's dirty, I would assume in most cases it would get replaced for a clean one, not just wiped with a dry cloth and given back especially as it had dried food on there and was still dirty. Some of the servers are truly lovely and others are quite rude, which is a shame and is definitely something I'd consider before going back.

Great food, good value for money, Monday - Friday two course & three course discounted lunch menu. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

The delivery driver was unable to find the address, I had numerous times tried to call him with no answer due to ,,no spiking English. in this case I had not walked to the main road to meet him for the delivery, not for the first Time.

Food was missing from the order!

Food was very good except child's pizza which lacked any topping other than a smear of tomato sauce. Service was excellent from both our servers (due to shift change). Faultless. Atmosphere spoiled by large rowdy table next to us.

Some of the waitresses not good food is good but waited 10 minutes watching my food on the hot plate counter

2024 - Its been a while so i was hoping that some changes had been made and it was back on par with how it used to be, but alas....no. Had to call to make a booking as the website said full up until after 6.30pm. We were given the choice of early afternoon only, with one slot left available, because they were fully booked. This sounded promising as ive always been able to book last minute here. We arrived to find the restaurant somewhat busy but more empty table than full. The lady came and took our order and was really nice (although forgot our cutlery when handing us salads bowls. We had to wait until our starters came out before we could eat any of our salads we had been staring at for 10 minutes. The starters were ok except for the med veg - frozen peppers, onions and courgettes, microwaved with a seasoning on. Awful slop that got sent back. On to our mains. The steaks were ok, peas were like bullets and mushrooms were quite black/brown leaving me suspecting they were old ones used. The burger were ok except for one of the bbq ones. Absolute sloppy slimy mess. the pulled bbq meat sauce was really thin (how sauce goes once its been cooked, cooled then reheated in the microwave) and soaked into the bun rendering it a gloopy sloppy mess that couldnt be picked up. Had to pull all the bun away and eat the meat with a knife and fork which kind of making ordering a burger pointless. Oh forgot to add, the salad bar.........well, the lettuce was fresh cut (just put out) but the pasta salads are so bland. Cucumber was dry and needed a bit if dressing to eat. Pineapple??? How do you take a juicy fruit like that and make it dry and tasteless. Same for the beetroot. Some of the salad items you could tell had been sat in a container of water in the fridge awaiting it turn on the salad bar. But why did the olives taste a little chemically - similar to tap water? Where they rinsed under the tap?, sat in a waterbath. Cant quite put my finger on the taste but half an olive and i spat the rest out. (did someone spray cleaner near them when they were open on the side?) The floor wasnt clean as you could see remnants of people salads (olives & cucumber), lurpak wrappers and chips on the floor around a few of the tables. We didnt stay long and definetely was not staying for desserts no matter how much we wanted one (Off to baskin robbins after) Not worth the amount of money it cost for us to eat out. Felt very much like a cafes attempt at being a steak house. Well planned, poorly executed, overpriced. I own a food business and to be honest, i would be shocked and appalled if my business operated like that. The only saving grace was the waitress. Its a shame they closed the Ruislip one which was far better in comparison 2019 - Usually a really nice place but last visit was toward the end of the night. You could tell staff had begun to prepare for going home. Due to this experience I haven't returned despite being offered a free meal for myself and our party

everything went OK by the time of estimated time off delivery, waiting for over 45 minutes to be delivered

We were here for my Birthday and had a very relaxed evening, our waitress looked after us very well, the food was great and we certainly could not fault the evening, well done to all at the Windmill Bushey, Herts.

This was an OK experience and I can tell you ive been here many times, my gammon was fatty and my onion rings were cold. My meal was sat under the lights for atleast 10 minutes, this is quite true for most of my experiences and I'm not pleased, the only bits I liked was some of my gammon and my refill. Haverster in potters bar is better im sorry! Butt like- it's not my family's fault it's there's. Shouldn't have left it for so long and maybe would have gotten a 4.5 sorry harvester! Bland tasteless food some of it was undercooked.

For a Thursday lunchtime the harvester was quite busy. I had the chicken skewers & my husband had the rotisserie chicken. Both were extremely tasty. The waitresses were extremely helpful& friendly. Will return.

It was very delicious lunch 🥰🥰 and unlimited salad bar!!! Bigger chicken pieces than other branch which I used to go. Downside was bit salty.

The food wasn’t too bad. The others who came with me had a burger and it was stone cold in the middle! The service wasn’t great as the server we had seemed a bit rude. The service was also quite slow!

The customer service was great. The crafts for the children were great. The salad bar and the fact you could get food straight away was great. The food was delicious. The only slight disappointment was there was no haddock, which was my and my husband's first choice.

the waiter was really nice and helpfull. However i ordered a burger and it was really disguisting, the meat was cold and looked frozen, so i suppose it wasn’t fresh. We got oir good quickly but maybe cause it wasn’t freshly cooked. Atmosphere was really nice and cozy but the toilets weren’t it. Looked like bunkers.

Very tasty food and a lot of choice. Good venue for large groups - have been here a couple of times with friends. Wait times are sometimes quite long, however, would still come back again! Side note: I highly reccomend the "Chicken with Maple Syrup, Waffle and Fries" - it doesn't sound great, but it is very tasty.

Oftenngo for family meals. Staff are always really helpful, food is acceptable, and as long as you don't hit the booze, it is worth the money.

Enjoyed it. Loved the chickpea salad. My favourite was the apple pie. The chocolate cake and the haddock were man sized. I will return for the cake if nothing else. The bottomless soda was a real treat. My family and I will return for other occasions. We went for Mother's Day and it was great value for money. I was full and satisfied. I could not eat anything more. The seating, lighting, space were all up to standard. Good location and facilities. Though I must add that the disabled toilet could do with a bit of TLC and a thorough cleaning of the walls and equipment. I will return.

We usually come here for lunch as the grill is always good and tasty The salad bar is always fresh and topped up. The only gripe we have is the rolls are not warm anymore. Service is always with a smile Thanks

This was our third visit here and have always had a good time. However, this time we were charged 20% VAT on our food, which we were not expecting. Makes a mockery of the 40% off offer on mains. Must be a new management decision as we have never paid VAT on food before here or elsewhere in other restaurants. Happy to pay an optional service charge.

Food was not good Bartley warm. Bit old hat decor.my husband had fish & chips fish not bad chips cold mushy peas stone cold only table spoonful.was so so disappointed. Very poor .
