The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. The staff were so kind when our daughter dropped her hot chocolate - they gave us another one for free and made sure it was cool enough for her to drink. Thank you. We loved the outdoor seating area. So cosy.

Not sure if I loved this as I love Turkish food or just for the sake it was just really good. Recommend coming here, as the food is good, the staff is friendly and informative, and the bistro is rather stylish with the modern take of a restaurant but with the relaxed vibe of the Cafe that it use to be.

I went on my own and ordered their special OAP dinner. I was served with my tea and a single slice of bread. Afterwards I waited for nearly 45 mins and people who came after me were served but noting for me. When I complained all the staff were busy talking loudly and just looked at each others faces before I walked out. The new owners are useless and terrible.

We hired the smaller private room for a family tea to celebrate a special birthday. There were 15 of us, grandparents, parents and children. From the start of our relationship with Mabel's administrator, Martine, discussions flowed easily - price, one glutenfree guest, one vegetarian, lots of details - nothing was too much trouble. On the day there was plenty to eat - sandwiches, scones, cakes and a drinks bar with prosecco. Sara, our waitress, was a star, making sure everyone had everything we wanted including extra cups of tea or coffee. Everyone enjoyed the relaxing informal event. The room was full of Victoriana and the children loved the experience and also the opportunity to explore the garden (with adult supervision). Our family tea at Mabel's was everything we wanted for our special day. Huge thanks to Martine and Sara for all their beautiful hospitality and care.

the most expensive item on the menu was sirloin steak £15. I do not believe any other item on the menu exceeded £ 10 and its a big choice menu. the service was quick and attentive. the food was well displayed on the plates . the restaurant/cafe was clean and neat. a good place to go to eat.

Quiet, airy cafe with delightful staff and a wonderful outlook onto a field. The has brown bites were beyond superb and dare I say worthy of a detour. Peaceful place, lots of room, a great antidote to a dog walk and children’s play area just a short walk away. Plenty of parking too it’s an ideal rendezvous point. Coffee well made.

We were in the area to see TV show recording and we were looking for somewhere to eat before. The Barracuda caught our eye as it looked attractive and clean . What an fabulous choice we made! The service was excellent - not often you walk up to a restaurant and someone opens the door for you, it was the same when we left - a thank you goes a long way! We struggled with a menu that gave us so much choice. In fact my husband had to resort to tossing a coin for his decision, much to the waitresses' amusement. Two of us settled on the chicken and mushroom risotto, whilst Steve went for the special. We can safely say it was the best we had ever had. Absolutely delicious with lots of different flavours coming through and cooked to perfection. A huge shame that we live so far away in Sheffield, but, if we are back down that way, we will definitely visit again. Highly recommended - thank you!

I've visited this pub a few times now, and it’s quickly becoming a favourite. It has a charming, old-world feel that’s perfect for relaxing, and there’s a great selection of board games to enjoy. The food is solid—highlights include the epic "Club Sandwich" and the delightful raspberry crumble with custard. Portions are just right, though some items, like the onion rings, seem to come from a packet, which is a bit disappointing. On the bright side, the staff are friendly, and the pub garden is a real treat when the sun is out. Overall, a lovely spot with room for improvement in some areas.

We went to this pub a few years ago when it was a bit of a gastro pub but on our recent visit on a Saturday night things had changed dramatically, I am not saying that we didn't enjoy ourselves but the pub atmosphere seemed very down market and the food menu was basic to say the least.
