Mabel's Vintage Tearooms in Hertsmere

We hired the smaller private room for a family tea to celebrate a special birthday. There were 15 of us, grandparents, parents and children. From the start of our relationship with Mabel's administrator, Martine, discussions flowed easily - price, one glutenfree guest, one vegetarian, lots of details - nothing was too much trouble. On the day there was plenty to eat - sandwiches, scones, cakes and a drinks bar with prosecco. Sara, our waitress, was a star, making sure everyone had everything we wanted including extra cups of tea or coffee. Everyone enjoyed the relaxing informal event. The room was full of Victoriana and the children loved the experience and also the opportunity to explore the garden (with adult supervision). Our family tea at Mabel's was everything we wanted for our special day. Huge thanks to Martine and Sara for all their beautiful hospitality and care.

Such a lovely place, beautiful decor, spotlessly clean, delicious afternoon tea served by such nice staff who boxed up anything we couldn't eat, for us to take home.

We hired Mabel’s vintage tea rooms for a private lunch party for 44 guest. It was the most perfect place for it, one guest commented it felt like we were in a country hotel. The room is full of character and so quaint , there is also an outside terrace area where we had our drinks reception, and were lucky enough to have great weather. Martine and her team couldn’t have done enough for us, it was all perfect and ran so smoothly, the food was great and so was the service. I would highly recommend this venue for any private parties!

Thank you for our delicious afternoon tea , there was so much to eat ! The two lovely young waitresses went out of their way to make our experience enjoyable . A fantastic room too. The communication between Martine and myself beforehand was really helpful.

This was my third trip to Mabel’s and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The food was freshly prepared and tasted delicious and the tea/coffee was always topped up. They also brought out a little cupcake with a candle in and sang Happy Birthday to my Mum as that was the reason for our visit.

I booked afternoon tea for my mum, my 14 year old daughter and myself, originally hoping for a Mother’s Day treat but ending up with a June afternoon when Reveley Lodge’s stunning rose garden was in full bloom. We arrived early to look around the gardens, which are beautifully maintained by a team of volunteers. Mabel’s is housed in Reveley Lodge’s former billiards room, an elegant but welcoming Arts and Crafts period room with a vintage soundtrack to go with the beautiful crockery. We’d ordered the Reveley Afternoon Tea and the Gentleman’s Tea, and were very pleased with our choices. My mum has a small appetite, and her tea provided plenty of leftovers to take home - she was especially impressed by the scones, which were incredibly light, and made by our charming waitress, Lori. The Gentleman’s Tea is a savoury feast of cheese and biscuits, pork pie, mini quiches, sausage rolls, scotch egg and plenty of celery, tomatoes and pickles, once again followed by scones, jam and clotted cream. The waiting staff were clearly proud to work there, sharing their knowledge of the house’s history, and of the art painted by Reveley Lodge’s former owner. All in all, it was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon, and I look forward to going back again soon. Huge thanks are due to the staff at Mabel’s, and to the volunteers who maintain the lush garden.

Unfortunately the walk around the garden was the highlight of the visit. The afternoon tea was disappointing with the miniature scones being deflated, crumbling the moment cream was attempted to be spread on them. The homemade cake was more of a mini muffin, with no options available to be chosen from. We were also brought the selection out one stage at a time- finger sandwiches, then scones, then pastry. Perhaps because the tables are not adequately sized. I like to pick and mix what I eat and when, rather than it being brought out like a 3 course meal. A 10% gratuity is added. We were happy to pay this, because the staff were nice, but ensure you count it in, especially when considering the poor food offerings we would probably have halved it. We love afternoon teas and go to everyone we can. It is a shame, but this was the worst one and we would not return.

Afternoon tea was quite nice but I think it would be better in summer when you can appreciate the gardens. There wasn't a special occasion atmosphere matching the price for a pre-Chritmas treat

Beautiful venue for afternoon tea (served at lunchtime by our choice). Very elegant and nicely served. A little bit chilly at this time of year.

This was a successful choice for a birthday celebration for myself, my adult children and three grandchildren. The entrance was a bit difficult to find, it is round the back to the left of the garden entrance. My son came out and found me! Once inside it was entirely delightful. First came the tea choices — about six to choose from. The sandwiches came next; each flavour was delicious (sometimes there will be one that isn’t, but not in this case), I remember three of the four: salmon and cream cheese, cheese and pickle (very gentle) and a green one which was surprisingly made with pesto. A favourite with the children! Then came the scones and cakes, served on a three tiered dish. Our teas were replenished when we asked, soya milk provided with no problem. Afterwards we strolled round the garden. Any leftovers were put in a little box for us to take home. I would definitely recommend the experience. The system where you book and pay a deposit beforehand, and choose your menu options beforehand as well, helps speed things along. Mabel’s shut at 5pm which may be a little early for some, also pre-booking is essential. There is a cafe in the garden if you turn up on spec.

A fabulously vintage beautiful setting in which to scoff delicious tea and cakes. A group of 8 of us had Afternoon Teas which we couldn't fault. Martine and team looked after our various dietary needs splendidly and we took our time devouring the lovely food. The sandwiches were delicious and bigger than expected, and the cakes/scones/chocct-dipped strawbs lovely! Would heartily recommend as a special place to have tea.

We recently visited Mabel's tearoom to celebrate my Mothers70th birthday. I have to say the service and food was outstanding! My 8 year old daughter has a dairy allergy and usually ends up missing out. Not at Mabel's! My daughter had the most amazing selection of scones and cakes. They even made her a dairy free hot chocolate. It really made her day. (We have previously attended 5 star hotels and the scones and cakes have not been half as good as the ones at Mabel's. Also my mother had the Gentleman's afternoon tea (as she finds the traditional too sweet). It looked amazing. The staff were so friendly, professional and attentive. We will be returning very soon.

We had an excellent afternoon tea for a group of 24. Nothing was too much trouble. There were two vegans and one gluten free, all with delicious sandwiches and cakes. The room is beautiful and the service friendly and professional.

I recently visited Mabel's Vintage Tearooms with a group of friends, vegetarians and one vegan. Nobody missed out. Everyone was well catered for. The sandwiches, scones and cakes/desserts were absolutely delicious and fresh. They also had beautiful gardens to stroll around. Service was brill. I would def recommend. This is my second visit to Mabel’s and I can honestly say it was just as good as the first! The staff are friendly, welcoming and so helpful. The tea room is cute and the food divine! Brilliant value for money and I can’t wait to go back! Thank you Martine for all your help with our dietary requirements!

A delightful 2 hours in beautiful surroundings eating super tasty sandwiches and scrumptious scones and cakes with endless tea, loved it! Mabel’s is an absolutely lovely, local and really personal jewel in Bushey’s crown. Special birthdays and a pandemic don’t exactly make for a great mix. So with no travel, restaurants closed and limited guests I was struggling to find something special to help celebrate my wife’s 50th when I found that Mabel’s Vintage Tea Rooms provided a ‘Tea at Home’ service - a traditional premium afternoon tea, with custom sandwiches, pastries, cakes and other treats. Turns out it was the best choice I could have made, even in a non-pandemic. I really can’t recommend Mabel’s tearooms enough. Martine was absolutely brilliant, super friendly and helpful throughout: from planning and customising the menu and arrangements to coming on the day, setting everything up and then providing the waiting services itself. The food itself was really delicious, with individual cakes and pastries made to order and an incredibly high standard. Thank you -

Honestly an amazing afternoon, we held my cousins hen do at the tea rooms and after months of planning it finally went ahead last weekend. Martine and her team were brilliant, so accommodating, welcoming, friendly and did anything to make our experience pleasurable. We had a lovely table outside under a gazebo which Martine arranged for us, she was totally flexible with us bringing decorations and making the table ‘hen do ready’! The food was so good, best afternoon tea I’ve ever had, everything was fresh and well prepared. Couldn’t recommend this place enough, lovely afternoon and thank you to Martine and her team for making our afternoon so special.

Fabulous little find, in Bushy . Not a huge menu but everything really tasty and fresh cooked in front of you. Phenomenal beautifully laid out gardens with nice tables and chairs with one section under cover. Best of all you can take your dog

As we couldn't go anywhere to celebrate my husband's birthday, I contacted Mabel's Vintage Tearooms about their home delivery service - and it was fantastic. The arrangements were made efficiently and professionally, the crockery came safely in bubble wrap and the food - all delicious - even came with instructions for warming up in the oven and a personalised menu. There's a huge choice of sandwiches (including veggie and vegan) and the fillings were very generous. The cakes and scones were delicious - and we didn't even have to wash up afterwards! Thank you, Martine and team - we look forward to visiting you in person soon once lockdown is over.

Martine from Mabel vintage tearooms delivered a first class service at very short notice for my wife’s birthday. It consisted if beautifully fresh soft bread sandwiches and all the food was extremely tasty. The beauty of the experience came from the added service of cutlery from tea set /cake stand to even the sugar cubes , table cloth and tea bags). During lockdown, or even for a special occasion at home, it was definitely a welcome treat

Went for afternoon tea at Mabel's Vintage Tearooms in Elstree. What a delightful experience. The food is lovely and all home made with constant fresh supplies of tea and coffee, the surroundings delightful and can't wait to do it again soon. Martine and her assistant are warm and welcoming and the history of the house and it's many paintings plus beautiful grounds make the visit such a pleasure.

Another fantastic afternoon tea at Mabel’s! The sandwiches are delicious and plentiful, a little quiche delight, warm scones and scrumptious miniature cakes to follow. Tea is plentiful as well. Martine and her team are very attentive to our needs and making sure all COVID guidelines were followed. A pure delight from start to finish, thank you!

Had afternoon tea for 2 delivered yesterday for a Birthday treat. It was absolutely delicious. Sandwiches were packed full of lovely fillings (real butter on the bread too), scones with Jam and clotted cream were Fab, and the mini cakes to die for (fruit tart was my favourite) Would 100% recommend

A home delivery of cream teas was my husband’s Fathers Day present from the children during lockdown. It arrived at exactly the stated time, impeccably packaged with spot on instructions for warming the mini quiches and scones. It was all absolutely delicious. Yummy sandwiches, light cakes and tasty scones with clotted cream. We thoroughly enjoyed it. I would highly recommend and we shall be visiting the premises for more when they reopen. Had a lovely relaxing afternoon tea at Mabels .Husband treated me to the royal cream tea .Can't thank the staff at Mables enough, looked after our every need , polite and friendly. Food home made and plenty for two . Waitresses came and asked if we need more tea and coffee so we never ran out .Surrounding very in keeping, gardens will be lovely to sit in the summer.We will definitely be back either family, friends or just the two of us .Thank you for making a surprise afternoon tea a lovely experience

Went for Afternoon Tea as a birthday treat. It was absolutely fabulous from start to finish. The setting is beautiful in a wonderful old mansion, with loads of character. The waitresses were very attentive, filling us with tea. The sandwiches were moist and filled with delicious fillings. The cakes were plentiful and also delicious. For £24 you could ask for better, you pay a deposit before so not much to pay after. Would definitely go again.

Another delightful visit to Mabel's Vintage Tearooms, this time for lunch. Excellent sandwich and baked potato and the usual caring service with attention to every small detail. We will be back!

Myself and my 3 friends always have a get together at Christmas and we went to Mabels this year for afternoon tea it was fabulous. The most delicious cakes and sandwiches, the staff were great really friendly and welcoming, we had a really lovely afternoon.😍😍😍

I recently visited with my mum for Christmas Afternoon Tea and it was incredible. We were treated with such a warm welcome it was like being greeted by an old friend. The food was freshly made and tasted amazing. The attention to detail on the cakes made it even better. I would recommend Mabel’s to anyone!

This place is a delight. Beautiful room, lovely China, lots of choices of tea and excellent home baking. They also cater well for special dietary requirements, especially if you tell them when you book.

I was invited to join some people for a friend's 70th birthday. It was very pleasant. We all enjoyed the experience. The waitresses were friendly and helpful. There is a lovely garden which one can visit most days of the week, I think. It may be a bit too "old fashioned" for some people but the place is always full, even for lunches, and as far as I am concerned, whats not to like? Incidentally, the birthday girl has already been back twice!

Where do I start...Truly outstanding Tea Room with amazing character. Martine and staff made our day so special we had travelled from Herts. Beds.and Surrey to Celebrate the Life of our late mother MABEL and Mabel's Vintage Tea Rooms looked so fitting as MABEL loved the Finer things in life.We were treated like FAMILY right from the very first booking Martine couldn't do enough for us right down to reserving space in the carpark for our elderly Aunt.The food was amazing especially the Homemade Quiche and make sure you leave enough room for DESSERT ....The whole experience was 5 STAR PLUS...The VENUE..The FOOD and the STAFF and to top it off Martine gave us a SPECIAL GIFT that we will treasure forever China Cup Saucer and Plate from Mabel's Vintage Tea Rooms...Martine and the staff made a sad occasion a very happy memorable one...We will be back that is for sure.

As soon as we walked in, we three adults and a child, felt the serene surroundings and the peace of the Mabel's cafe overwhelm us. The welcome was warm, food delicious and reasonable, service attentive, the décor is classic, and we did not feel rushed. Martine and her staff are wonderful hosts. Most of the food is made from home grown vegetables, hence fresh tasting. Washrooms are spotless. Reservations are highly recommended. There are tables both inside and outside. A walk in the garden is worth it. Definitely a place to visit again!

Tasty finger sandwiches and yummy cakes, together with friendly and attentive service. The chocolate covered strawberries are especially good.

A popular venue that I strongly recommend you book in advance to avoid disappointment, Mabel's Vintage Tearooms is a fantastic venue. I went with my Mum as she'd been before and raved about it, and she wasn't wrong. The hot food from the menu was very hot, very tasty and really filling. Afternoon tea served to others looked lovely, but my goodness the cakes! Definitely save room for the cakes.

We chose Mabel's for my Mothers 60th birthday celebrations for it's gorgeous setting and delicious food. All of our expectations were met and then exceeded with the wonderful service we received from Martine and her team.

Went with friends for a 50th birthday treat. Beautiful sandwiches, succulent scones and cakes to die for all washed down with a bottle of Proseco. Ladies were beautifully dressed in period costume and very attentive and helpful. We spent a very pleasant couple of hours at Mabels and would not hesitate to go there again.

Just home from a delightful 40th birthday tea. Our party included a nearly 102 year old in a wheelchair. From the moment I spoke to Martine on the phone and enquired about wheelchair accessibility and got the immediate response "we will reserve you a named parking space" I knew this was somewhere with caring attention to detail.

My daughters treated me to a wonderful afternoon tea at Mable’s Vintage Tearooms. The food was fantastic and the staff very attentive and friendly. There was so much to eat and we were given all the leftovers to take home. My grandchildren very much enjoyed running around in the beautiful gardens too.

Have just been to Mabel’s for an afternoon tea with a friend. I’ve been to many top London hotels for tea, but this has been by far the best one I’ve been to! Lovely fresh sandwiches (very cloud like... fluffy bread!) the scones were warm and delicious! Didn’t quite manage to get through the cakes, so bought them home with us!

We celebrated our parents joint 87th birthdays at Mabel’s Vintage Tearooms. It was a lovely experience, and perfect for them. The sandwiches, cakes and scones were all delicious. There was even a singing of “Happy Birthday” and some candles on cake from the staff, to make the afternoon very special for them. The gardens (even in January) looked lovely and we took a gentle stroll after eating all that lovely food. A very nice afternoon.

Revely Lodge is a true hidden gem nestled in a residential street that is the artery from the A41 into Bushey Heath High Street, with it's wonderful gardens that are open to the public. The house served as a country residence in the 19th century and where, lucky for Bushey residents, the very talented Martine opened her tearoom some two years ago.

We were a private party in the billiard room. Greeted with a glass of prosecco by waitresses dressed in period costumes...really authentic as was the room. Tea followed with wonderful fresh sandwiches and generous fillings,then the scones made using a secret recipe followed by the selection of cakes....

I have just come back with a doggy bag. When the sandwiches came I thought they were to share but we all had our own plate and they delicious.

Mabel's Vintage Tearooms is set in scenic surroundings. The food is tasty and reasonably-priced. The service is both warmly welcoming and efficient; Martine and Judy are beyond delightful. Highly recommended.

I am reluctant to let people know about Mabel's because I don't want everyone to find it!! My favourite lunch place. Glorious sandwiches, jacket potatoes etc. The staff are delightful, friendly helpful and welcoming. Sssh. Don't tell everyone!!

Visited on a Friday and pre ordered the royal afternoon tea. It was super with a variety of sandwiches , warm scones , homemade cakes and limitless tea . A hen party was enjoying themselves on another table . Loved the service was not rushed and asked at the booking if any allergies . I do not like cheese or smoke salmon and was given alternative sandwiches . Best to book for lunch or afternoon tea . Good place for a relaxing afternoon as beautiful gardens and vintage decor and vintage waitress clothing

Most weekends my wife and I visit local hotels for afternoon tea.Today we decided to try mabels tea room.we ordered one full afternoon tea with an extra round of sa ndwiches the tea only included two scones but no cakes charged for an extra pot of tea the bill was thirty six pounds.could have ordered two teas for the same money this is a total rip-off.

I've been here a few times. The staff are very helpful. Everything is lovely and fresh. It's good old fashioned food, nothing modern. Catering for people who like cake and sandwiches with a few salads thrown in. The staff are dressed in old fashioned clothing and the surroundings are very pretty with oil paintings on the wall. You need to book as it is small.

Lovey lunch sandwiches with scones and prosceco, beautiful fresh sandwiches lovely filing especially the smoked salmon but all nice plenty of filing, the scones were scrummy all washed down with lovely tea,my daughter is gluten free the bread and scones were lovely, would come again the room and the house is lovely reminds me of a lady’s house I would visit with my nan

I went there yesterday with my elderly parents to celebrate 63 years of marriage. We were greeted ncely and shown to our table.

Have been here three times to celebrate friends' special birthdays. Food and service are excellent. As well as the usual sandwiches, scones with jam & cream and cakes, there is also a mini quiche, a mini trifle and a strawberry dipped in chocolate.

I took my mum and sister here for the Royal afternoon tea and it was lovely. The food was delicious and presented well and with endless tea, great! The staff were very friendly and attentive so I would recommend it.

We were a party of 5 adults and a baby. We chose various dishes including asparagus soup, quiche and salad and mushrooms on toast; all arrived promptly and were attractively presented and tasty. Tea was quickly replenished when our pots were empty. The service was very friendly and efficient. When I booked, I mentioned that one of our party was disabled; without my having requested it, Martine very kindly booked a parking spot for us.

Had a pre wedding tea party for my son and fiancée who are getting married in Italy in June.

Visit Mabel's for great quality homemade sandwiches, scones and dainty pastries set within a very atmospheric setting. Martina and her staff were excellent in ensuring that the surprise birthday party i had arranged at Mabel's went smoothly without any hiccups. Thoroughly recommended!

A friend booked a table for a few of us to have lunch at Mabel's. I'd never heard of the place, but it's now firmly on my radar.

Old fashioned Tea Rooms with old fashioned service provided by real waitresses. Lovely Edwardian tea room plus an extensive garden. Nothing is too much for the staff. Allergies? No problem. Lovely sandwiches and cakes, scones, real coffee and speciality teas. This place was a real find and can be highly recommended. Take a trip in time and visit this delightful establishment. You won't be disappointed. We shall certainly visit it again now we've discovered it. Take you American friends for a real English Tea. They'll love it.

What a lovely way to spend an afternoon - a beautiful setting and perfect Royal Afternoon Tea. The room is cosy and has a peaceful, welcoming feel and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed every minute (and every mouthful!)

Martine and her team at Mabels made my "special" Birthday extra special. All of my guests phoned me the next day to compliment the staff on such attentiveness and how wonderful all the sandwich's and cakes were. Everything from start to finish went well and good value for money. I wound not hesitate to use this venue again or to recommend it to friends and family.

Firstly, I've never seen such small cakes on an afternoon tea. I mean literally one mouthful each of 3 varieties. The sandwiches were cut bread, equivalent to one round and bog standard. You also get one scone, with a small portion of jam and cream. The quality was OK, not at all special and nothing was homemade. All this for £24.00! And not to mention the service, when everything is OK, Martinne seems pleasant, but as soon as there's a complaint the customer service is terrible. She told me "I'm taking your feedback very seriously", but then said she's never had any complaints before and told me she wasn't prepared to discuss it further in the tearooms. She proceeded to argue with me and refuted everything I said. There was no offer of providing any extra food and no offer of any discount. I have left extremely disgruntled with the experience spoiled for me and my family. The al la carte menu looked good and the portions on everyone else's tables were generous. So, if you do go, order from the menu, don't get afternoon tea and hope that you don't have to complain about anything.

Martine and her team have just made the most delicious tailor made lunch to celebrate a birthday, the food was absolutely home made and delicious. The staff so friendly and helpful and loved the uniforms, a unique venue and Martine is so together and organised and made it the ,most pleasurable experience, we can’t wait to go back Would highly recommend this for lunch, tea or a small gathering of about 45.

This place is so amazing! Mis matched china, sugar cubes and tongs,the coffee was just how I like it and the coffee and walnut cake was divine!! I can not praise it enough.

Step back 100 years and you are in the exquisite surroundings of Revely Lodge, Bushey, on the edge of North-West London and that’s where you will find Mabel’s Vintage Rea Rooms. It proved to be the perfect location for our aunt’s 96th birthday celebrations.

Beware, the most expensive scone in the area £4 for a single solitary scone, with jam and cream, supposedly warm, but not really, bit dry and tiny compared to the copius amount of unlimited tea for £2. homemade cake at £1 cheaper at £3 a much better offering.

Came here for a tea birthday party. Lovely, friendly and attentive service, fresh tasty finger sandwiches with the crusts cut off, yummy cakes and lashings of tea or coffee. Clean and very relaxing surroundings. I hope you love an experience straight out of the 50s and 60s. Parking is difficult on site, so park in one of the side turnings.

As I sat drinking my tea in a beautiful china cup (which reminded me of my mum) in an authentic room, you could forget everything else in the world and enjoy the atmosphere and surroundings in this charming room. The staff were very friendly and always helpful, the food (sandwiches) were fresh and well presented. The salads looked lovely as well as the jacket potatoes which had a side salad with it(just the right amount). The homemade cakes looked delicious and the scones which come with clotted cream and jam were yummy.

First visit. What an utterly charming 'vintage' tearoom. The staff are so lovely, efficient and very attentive.

We went for the 'Royal Afternoon Tea'. Would highly recommend. Fresh and delicious food. Unlimited tea. Our young waitresses were very attentive and polite. Will definately be returning.

I took the ladies of my family here for afternoon tea and it was an absolute delight. All the food was so fresh and tasty. The staff were all lovely. The setting and gardens are so lovely and peaceful. Will definitely be returning for lunch again soon.

My friend and I enjoyed our first time visit here. Martine and her team were so charming and friendly, making it a very special experience for us in these delightful tea rooms.

Visited Mabel's tearoom for the first time last Saturday afternoon for tea. What a treat, like stepping back in time. From the decor to the China everything was just delightful. Met the owner who was warm and friendly as were her staff. Tea was fresh and tasty. I had coffee with my afternoon tea which was excellent and I admit to being a bit of a coffee snob. If it is pleasant enough take a walk around the gardens. You need to book here to avoid disappointment. Sundays only available for private hire. Perfect for girlie birthdays, and baby showers

I had intended to pre-order (as required) the flamboyant celebration tea option but my disappointment was soon tempered when I realised that judicious choices from the menu would bring something that we probably enjoyed just as much.

Maxine and her team deserve huge praise for their wonderful hospitality. The food and cakes are perfect and the setting is good for your soul in this mad world. Really worth taking the time to visit.....it's a treat.

My husband and I visited around 12:00 on Saturday just as they had opened so were lucky to get a table as we had tried in the past to no avail.

Delightful staff...Martine is so lovely....amazing home made cakes ...food was delicious..and the decor is very special...attention to detail first class...a must for any time not just special occasions ..thank you

We were a large party having a long awaited get together. Everyone chose something different for lunch and no-one was disappointed. Beautiful setting, fresh homemade and very tasty food. Excellent service from Martine and her team. Could not fault our experience, I would recommend this to anyone, it is also particularly suitable for a special occasion. Although we had lunch I did see afternoon teas being brought to other tables and they also looked very nice.

Charming venue in a delightful setting with lovely gardens etc where one can sit out [weather permitting]. The set tea comprised sandwiches, mini pizzas, good selection of cakes, scones etc and copious amunts of tea, coffee. Waitresses very good and look after their customers with friendly and courteous service. Set tea price £15 per head. If booking in advance for a number of people one is expected to send a £5 deposit per head prior to the visit..

I pre booked a table for my friends birthday.We had the High Tea(has to be booked in advance) which I can highly recommend.The tea room is beautiful and is part of Reverley Lodge,like going back in time,the room is cozy,with vintage bone china,wonderful staff and yummy food.The menu was lovely for lunch also.Beautiful gardens which will be lovely in the summer for seating outside.A real hidden treasure in Bushey.

I have been to this stunning tearoom on several occasions and also attended a 90th birthday celebration. Martine's attention to detail is first class and her staff are delightful. The food is excellent always fresh and delicious.

Fantastic period venue. Beautifully laid tables with mismatched china. Attentive friendly staff. We were celebrating family Birthdays so all ages, baby, toddlers and school age to retired and all were catered for. We did book for an early lunch so not to disturb other clients who might have booked the Royal Tea. The food was fresh and tasty. Can't wait to book later in the year so I can enjoy a Royal Tea in the garden.

We have just had a glorious Royal Tea to celebrate our wedding anniversary of 55 years, with family and friends. The Reveley Lodge is a Victorian Gentleman's Cottage.

Took my gran for afternoon tea after googling tearooms in Watford, I drive past this place every day and didn't realise it was here! We were blown away by how authentic the tearoom was and Martine told us the history of the house which was so interesting!

What a wonderful quirky place. If I hadn't been taken there by friends I wouldn't have realised it even existed. It's like stepping back in time with the decor and uniform worn by the girls there. We had lunch on a Saturday, fortunately we had booked-which I would recommend. They even had provision for gluten free, although I would suggest you inform them in advance to ensure a good choice- I had a jacket potato followed by a gluten free, homemade scone, yummy.

My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our Royal Afternoon Tea at Mabel's Tearooms, Reveley Lodge. The sandwiches were chilled and tasty with a small savoury quiche, and the little cakes (chocolate eclair, lemon drizzle, blueberry cheesecake, mandarin cream in crisp buttery pastry) were absolutely delicious. However, the top plate of our 3 tier tea was a massive chocolate dipped strawberry! Pots and pots of tea in pretty cups and saucers, iced water and of course not forgetting the plain and fruit scone with clotted cream and jam.The waitresses, in black and white just like the painting of Mabel in the billiard room, were lovely and couldn't have done more for us.
