I wasn't supposed to be in Borehamwood tonight, my god am I happy I am. Came to eat early, around 18:15 outside seating area was full , inside was maybe 1/4 full. Had the breaded goatscheese to start, best tasting goatscheese I've had, absolutely delicious, gave the special a run, crab and prawn linguine with chilli and garlic , dill and tomato, the flavours were like a firework display in my mouth, what an experience, I'm no expert but I think it's obvious when fresh ingredients are used, I'd put my wage on everything here being cooked fresh from fresh ingredients. My favourite dessert is tiramisu, the tiramisu here makes me want to marry the chef. Gutted I live 280 miles away, I'd be here every night

Big portions, I think anyone eating here surely will not complain about the size. The place was busy so I thought it must be a good place. I been with my family in Boxing Day, the service was poor, especially the blonde girl. The girls do not pay attention to the customers, they talk and laugh among themselves. Will Not be returning

Went for first time for evening meal with friends. The menu was good & quality of food was excellent from starters to dessert, portions plentiful. Staff friendly & service was good. Would recommend!

Delicious fresh food. I had Minestrone Soup that came with hot slices baguette, followed by King Prawns Linguine in wine, tomato, garlic and chilli sauce. Very tasty food, decent portions, good service. Reasonably priced options for all the family. Would recommend.

We went to this restaurant last night, food was amazing and large portions. We ordered the rib eye steak and mushroom risotto... loved them!! And desserts, ... no words, they were super good and home-made. Definitely 5 stars. Service was also very good, friendly and very attentive

Barracuda serves excellent food. The atmosphere is very good and prices reasonable. We have now visited this branch of Barracuda many times because of its good food. The staff work as a team and all are helpful, cheerful and quick (especially Christina). Chicken Caesar salad is the best I have ever tasted. Good choice of wine at sensible prices. You can just see the staff want to get it right. Also worth trying is the Pollo Milanese - excellent. I like your new website too very good.

We love this place. Great food and service. We come here often and they never let us down. The pasta is fantastic and they have a large selection of food all reasonably priced. A+++++ would eat here everyday if we could :)

Had a lovely lunch with my friend today. Huge portions and delicious food. The waitress Christina was absolutely fantastic . We both received great customer service.

Completely disappointed. The lasagne was like a over cooked lump of stodge. It was not even served with a garnish! So I then ordered a small bowl of tomatoes and cucumber, the size would be enough for dinner, which is an entire waste of food, especially at a time where we are going through a cost of living crisis! My husband ordered a milkshake, which he never received. He ordered Tea and a breakfast. The food was unseasoned , and egg shell was found. No check back was given , therefore, there is no opportunity to give our feedback. We were very extremely shocked when we received the bill. £18.20 for breakfast and a cup of tea. There was also an additional service change of 10%

My friends and myself had the great misfortune to dine on Saturday 1 April in this restaurant. We have previously enjoyed nice meals in the restaurant with pleasant staff and good service. Unfortunately, this evening we were subjected to the presence of a group of diners who were rude, excessively raucous and in general were allowed by management to expose themselves, sing, if one could call it that and in general took over the restaurant. At no time did any of the staff request the group to quieten down. In fact the more alcohol they consumed the louder they got. In addition, they blocked the front door obstructing other diners to enter or leave. In summary, our civilised evening out was ruined by a bunch of, what could only be described, as loud mouthed diners with no thought and respect for others. To anyone thinking of dining there on a Saturday think twice as to who you could be sharing your evening with, because, with no back up from staff or management, you will not have an enjoyable evening.

Popped in for Lunch. I had minestrone for starters which was amazing. Homemade full of vegetables. Hubby had linguine al vongole. Full of clams. Wow, if this was served on at one of the Michelin star restaurant we visit he would be very happy. Staff are accommodating and friendly and Support your local restaurant. They are open evenings and serve alcohol. Thanks for a lovely meal Sue and Bob

Good choice of breakfast but also lunch and dinner. I tried the Mediterranean breakfast and it was very tasty, especially the hummus. Overall a great experience, would recommend.

Went there for an evening meal WOW superb meal from the starter to desert definitely worth checking out not rushed and for month of Feb 20% off! Staff helpful as have certain allergies they knew there food and what allergies (hard to find in some restaurants as staff do not know) great Credit to the staff and now open in the evenings. Will I be back definitely for possible breakfast but evening meal well worth it!

Fine service and food - august 2022

I ordered a wrap with halloumi, roasted vegetables and pesto. The wrap had very little pesto which left it really tasteless. I complained to the waitress who brought me a pot of pesto to use inside the wrap but it just wasn't the same as having the wrap toasted with the pesto inside. Really didn't enjoy it and I complained again when the bill came but wasn't given anything off the bill

Food was not very good watch the chef picking up spaghetti with his hands my son had lasagna and all you can taste was cheese asked for a kids portion of baked beans to go with kids meal chickennuggets and chips got brought a whole tin of beans for a 2 year old

Lovely restaurant in the heart of Borehamwood with lovely staff. My top tip: on a sunny day there's courtyard seating out the back which is nicer than sitting out front on the street.

Very enjoyable brunch of a Mediterranean breakfast for me and vegetarian breakfast for the wife. I asked for a couple of additions and they willingly obliged. Eggs were perfect and all elements tasted great. Wife also loved hers. The staff were friendly and attentive. Highly recommended

Usually go to your competitor down the road but gave Barracudas a try today. Menu offering almost the same. Good service and a nice full English. Really nice coffee - rich and strong taste. Would have given 4 stars except for ' home made' apple crumble. Lovely presentation however tiny amount of crumble scattered over tinned sugary apple filling. No way was the crumble home- made as stated on the menu.
