excellent service, excellent food

I used to look forward to a breakfast here! The cafe used to be buzzing on a Sunday morning! However, when I visited this morning it was dead. I wanted a brekkie but they have put signs up everywhere saying minimum card payment £15!!! Their breakfasts average around £8 - 10! I had no cash on me so walked out and found another nearby cafe without the £15 restriction! It’s 2023 and a lot of people no longer carry cash! I could understand if the min charge was £5! Maybe this is why there’s no one in there?!?

Love tudor diner. If you haven't tried the lamb casserole. Honesty. It's amazing and so tasty. The meat was so soft I ate the lot. It comes with rice and salad. They are known for the breakfasts . But their other food is lovely 😍

Amazing breakfast cafe. This place has been around for decades, I remember coming here with my dad when I was a kid and the service and quality, even though it’s changed hands a few times I imagine, has stayed the same.

The boy service is very good with manners and respect And my food is bad bad spinach dry straight from the bag Not even washed or seasoned it I m a chef as well but he speak very rude the boss I asked for olive oil he said no olive oil but he got it on the counter as decoration never going back there again ever ever ever very disappointed And the chef swore at me rude saying shut uppppppp or leave You need to go for school for catering they will teach how to speak to costomers And I had my father in law clippers lighter 20 years old when I back to the tudor cafe I asked for the Lighter forgot my lighter they says nothing left !!!!! Are u serious must be cctv is a theft stealing personal not nice Sorry dad I lost ur clippers lighter at Tudor cafe borehamwood 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Used to enjoy eating here but they put the prices up so much it’s become a joke! 2 rashers of bacon! £3:20!!!!! My meal comprised of a cheese and bean jacket with bacon, one slice of toast and jam and two coffees and two teas! £23:00!! I’ll go elsewhere, where the food is just as good (if not better), prices are cheaper and above all else the staff are friendlier!

Roast dinner here is lovely! Generous serving and reasonable price, lovely and hit too - staff and owner are lovely and friendly.

Good food, clean, service was okay, but quote busy so had to wait a little, prices okay.

Second time I have been there and as last time food and service was excellent.

Come today with my husband there service was good from the boy but our food was very bad I have come here for years was disappointed and how the chief spoke to us so rude will not be coming back again

Good cafe only thing let’s this place down is there sausages they are horrible basically hot dogs cut in half and grilled use real butchers sausages and would be perfect.!!!

My husband and I have breakfast here late lunchtimes on Saturdays and its great. Attentive service, friendly staff, very good food, fresh and tasty. Good selection. You can have any options on the menu. The restaurant is always clean and tidy. The ladies serving are exceptionally helpful and chatty. They even know what we want when we go in now. They closed for covid once and we went somewhere else....oh disaster.

Very expensive for the quality of food compared to other local cafes. £4.50 for a still oinking bacon and egg sandwich on cheap bread.

Another fantastic meal at the Tudor, delicious food, freshly cooked, lovely friendly staff and Covid safe. Been back today 26/8/21 & the food and service are still absolutely A1 if not better if that could be possible.

Myself & my daughter love going to Tudor Dinner for a slap up, delicious breakfast but unfortunately our visit was anything but delicious. We ordered the D1 selection which included baked beans but they were so over cooked it spoilt the taste and the sausages lacked flavour...not going to go there again!!

1st time I have been with a friend.. all the staff r welcoming /friendly lovely atmosphere....food arrived quickly and was delicious 😋very clean as well ...will b hoping back ☺

Always having an electric atmosphere with this little pub. It's small with an open kitchen but everyone is willing to engage in conversation. Been going here regularly for about 4 years and couldn't fault definitely the best Cafe in Borehamwood. If you haven't already experienced this place I would suggest the next time you want some quick tasty breakfast go here you will never regret it 😉

Been going here for 35 years plus and always my favourite cafe in England - because the food is so lovely and cleanly presented. If I'm in doubt about where to go I revisit the Tudor Diner!

Four of us had breakfast here. I ordered smoked salmon, poached eggs and grilled tomatoes. The eggs were steamed not poached and the tomatoes only partially cooked. The beer was good.

I’ve been coming to this cafe for over 20 years, and although it has changed hands, it is by far the best food for a working mans breakfast around. I would easily travel the extra miles to have the bubble or fried potatoes. And there’s always a nice hello as you walk through the door.

The Tudor has just had a make over.... great bi folding doors at the front of the property. Great improvement. The food is excellent, always hot, well presented and delicious. Staff are friendly sometimes a bit quick to take your plates/cups away.

There are a few places in Borehamwood where you can get a breakfast but nothing quite like this. Service is polite and efficient. Previous reviews have mentioned price but you get fresh, quality produce cooked in a full view open kitchen. The portions are generous and the food is very tasty. There are some unusual breakfast combinations and the omelettes are wonderful. I have been a regular here now for almost a year now and we are well looked after. A cracking cafe.

The worst cafe in Borehamwood by a country mile!!! I've been twice to this cafe and both times the food has been terrible... Stupidly I gave then s second chance, I so wished I didn't... I asked for a cup to pour the grease into, which was more surprising how much I filled the cup up!!... I had 3 mouthful and had to leave it, when I complained all they said was "Oh dear".. I paid in full begrudgingly.. Terrible food !!! Overpriced !!! And poor customer service!! I have never left a review in my life before, But the terrible experience moved me to leave this review.. I wouldn't feed my dog this food and he probably wouldn't eat it if I did.. If I could of given it minus stars I would of.. Save your money and and your taste buds!! Go elsewhere!!!

Lovely little place, generous portions, good value, friendly staff, no nonsense.

Had breakfast on the weekend, I had a pleasant experience. The selection of preset options is good along with the option to select your own breakfast makes this place a good place to go. The food is well cooked and the staff are always helpful. It's a popular cafe so can get busy. It's clean and friendly. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. I like grilled chicken with a jacket potato after a morning workout.

Best cafe in borehamwood by far.always packed big portions very reasonable prices coffee to die for.there menu is not only breakfast it's brunch dinner and puddings.would definitely recommend.

Good food quickly served by nice staff

Three of us popped in for cafe style lunch as we were local and school holidays meant local restaurants were quite busy. Service excellent and premises clean. It’s in a small parade of shops in not the best side of town. We were hungry, so stopped there, however I had a jacket potato with cheese and beans, and it cost £8.50 which I think is really overpriced and didn’t realise. It came with a fresh small salad. Turns out the price is £3.50 for a plain jacket, each added filling an extra £2.50. Come on! Not one of the three of us realised, so although it does say it on menu, it’s not obvious. I felt ripped off and wont be returning. I get exactly the same jacket, with fresh salad and both fillings in other cafes, less than a mile away, in a more pleasant position for no more than £5.50! You’ve lost me Tudor Café

We go there quite often, staff are always very friendly, food is unpretentious, with good size helpings, tasty and good value for money. Highly recommended

Good food and drinks and not expensive

I took my daughter here for brunch last Saturday morning. We had very basic eggs/bacon on toast with coffees. My daughter had a latte which was extremely weak. She asked very politely if they could put some more coffee in it which they did. It still tasted like hot water with very little milk so she did not drink it and had it again returned to the kitchen. When I got the bill it was just for a total amount so I asked for a proper itemised receipt, this showed that we had been charged for THREE coffees! We spoke to the manager to complain and he asked us what was wrong with the coffee - my daughter said it actually had a "disgusting" taste upon which the manager said YOU are DISGUSTING AND GET OUT OF MY CAFE NOW in a loud voice!! I have since discovered he is the new owner and the cafe is called The Tudor Brunch Ltd. If this is how he behaves to a respectable mother and daughter he is not going to last very long. I still cannot believe how he spoke to us. He tried to charge us double for returning undrinkable coffee and thought we wouldn't notice!!

This restaurant was taken over a little while ago I had a brilliant breakfast excellent value staff were very attentive clean and most importantly of all no upset stomach. Will be returning

Este es un café muy agradable, situado frente Co-op. No todos los tipos de comidas, desayunos, almuerzos cenas sándwiches bocadillos, Etc. Hay café es muy sabrosa. Muy limpio y alegre, confortable cafetería. Agradable tener este café tan cerca de mi casa. Hasta abril fui regular no han tenido operación ya que como la rodilla. Tan pronto como vuelva a caminar muy lejos sin duda tomar una visita.

They do a good fry up, and nice lunches. The staff are accommodating and the food is very quick and freshly made.
