Hatche in Hertsmere

Not sure if I loved this as I love Turkish food or just for the sake it was just really good. Recommend coming here, as the food is good, the staff is friendly and informative, and the bistro is rather stylish with the modern take of a restaurant but with the relaxed vibe of the Cafe that it use to be.

Had a small 6 person birthday meal. Very attentive, music was perfect and could not do enough for you. Food was exceptional as we all had different meals, could not fault a thing.

THE GREATEST BISTRO EVER!!! Erkay is cheerful, attentive and accommodating, he made our day. Cozy vibe with locals, yet still fabulous services and heavenly food. Lamb chops are to die for, and the portions are huge. Such an unexpected delight from a small local bistro with a Turkish hint. Definitely recommend! Six stars ⭐️

My first, and not last visit, ordered a full English Breakfast with a cup of tea, everything was at a proper temperature most importantly the food. I was very full up at the end. Definitely recommend!

Its such an amazing restaurant hiden in Potters Bar,delicous food,such an artistic touch on fruit gandool,reasonable price,very well educated and gentle service,music in the house accompanied by the food was tremendous,I can't believe we still have such a place,it should be respected by all locals like us...thank you guys...

Ordered bangers and mash. Bangers arrived with no mash...and the sausages and sauce were not flavoursome. The spinach filo cheese pastry starter tasted out of date. Could not finish it, not sure if cooked from frozen. Added pictures. Mac and cheese was edible but too much cheese and again flavour was lacking. Disappointing experience overall. Food had to ultimately be thrown, waste of money.

Food was great the dude was great everything was great and you should go cause it's great don't mind how many times i said great but it was just great loved it I'm going back again in the next 60 years!? I'm sorry I'm joking 😄 but I will be back

The service at Hatche is attentive, with very friendly staff. The food is always EXCELLENT! We often go as a family and choose different dishes as there is so much choice; each time the appearance & flavour have been top class. The Decor is attractive; colourful and tasteful. We love it and are so glad to have such a lovely independent restaurant in Potters Bar. I am looking forward to going back with friends and trying the cocktails!

We popped in randomly for lunch after we dropped our puppy to the vets, and what a pleasant surprise it was! The food was lovely, and excellent value for money. The guy who served us was a lovely man, really friendly and excellent with our little one! We felt very welcome. We would defo visit again!

Went to Hatche for a late breakfast today. 7 of us plus a young child. Cannot fault the place. Great service, nice atmosphere, nothing was too much for them. Nice fresh hot food. Good portions. A great addition to potters bar.

Very delicious starters - calamari and mushrooms I enjoyed the Greek salad a lot, very tasty. The hamburger with fries was nice as as well. I loved the turish dessert and tea. First time I tried that. Restaurant is clean and price is fair. Definitely will go again. Edmond from HK

A great menu with a diverse range of products. Service was fast and professional. The food was great. We enjoyed calamari, helumi, cheesy bread, olives, a lot of appetizers and they were all delicious. Entrees from fish to pasta to chicken and lamb. There is something for everyone! Worth the visit!

Food lacked flavour and was served cold, they had good service but the place is so small it gets very loud in there from all the customers talking so hard to hear each other. Also hard to get out as so many tables are close together. Also parking is hard to get very limited spaces.

Below average , chicken was dry small portions , not what your expecting when going out for a meal.

Nice welcome, ordered the octopus to start, very average, over cooked with a cheap tomato basil sauce (£10.95) . Main, I ordered ribeye with peppercorn sauce. The steak was rare after ordering medium, which i returned , cooked correctly , but now the rest of the plate was cold, and to cap it they sreve iceland frozen chips, with a peppercorn sauce which was just cream with pepper added, not bad at £32.00 . Do not trust their 5 star review

What a Great place in Potters Bar. This was my second time visiting Hatche Bistro to celebrate my birthday with family. Again, we were greeted by the ever friendly Murat. The service is always great as my son has been there 3-4 times and always had a great time. Food is very delicious and freshly cooked. Nice portions too. The cocktails are really nice. I will definitely recommend Hatche and Murat is a brilliant and friendly person. Love it... thank you for making my birthday evening a special one.👍🙏

Second time I've been to Hatche. As before, we were warmly greeted by Abdul who was very attentive all evening. Food was lovely, we had vine leaves & hummus followed by moussaka & chicken skewers. Food was delicious. We fancied a cocktail that wasn't on the menu, but this was no problem & Abdul was only too happy to oblige. Would highly recommend for service alone... great food was a bonus!

Met a friend there for lunch... Extremely reasonable lunchtime 2 course menu. Delicious choices of both starter and main course... I had the calamari to start, then the lamb moussaka, very tasty and satisfying... My friend had the feta cheese salad and the chicken skewer... All courses freshly prepared and pleasing to the eyes. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing lunch... Lovely atmosphere...

The cuisine was delicious with most generous portions! Abdul was thoughtful to celebrate my friends birthday with à dessert (and candle) and wished happy birthday to the birthday girl Gemma. The ambience was comfortable and decor stylish . I will definitely be dining here again

Me and 2 good friends went this evening for the first time and had a wonderful time. We met the lovely owner and had such a warm welcome. The food was absolutely delicious (I recommend the delicious Chicken a la cream) and the service outstanding. It is a cozy and small restaurant with beautiful insta worthy decor. They do live music occasionally which we will look out for. I look forward to going back with another group of friends for my birthday next month. I 100% recommend this local gem

This is NOT a 5 star restaurant. Be careful seeing the 5 star rating and assuming special food quality. Good service and a nice ambience inside but food has a lot to be desired. Portions are small / quality is average so value for money isn’t here, chips were the highlight which says enough.

Had my Sons 21st birthday there and could not fault the place! The food the atmosphere and above all the service! We had a brilliant night there and can’t wait to go back
