the most expensive item on the menu was sirloin steak £15. I do not believe any other item on the menu exceeded £ 10 and its a big choice menu. the service was quick and attentive. the food was well displayed on the plates . the restaurant/cafe was clean and neat. a good place to go to eat.

I'd come down to Borehamwod for Strictly, after a 3hour wait to get our ticket validated we walked down to the Main Street & found this treasure. Busy busy cafe but we managed to get seated right away, excellent quick service from really friendly staff, the early breakfast I can highly recommend. I didn't want beans and the offered to replace with mushrooms. Very good value for money. We went back the following day for the same again, brunch time, they serve the breakfast all day. Cannot fault this place, and their coffee is the best I've tasted...better than your "well-known" brands.

Home cooked breakfast, well presented and plenty of toast will return when next in the area. Very good value

They do the best sausage baguettes. We have been phoning the orders through as you weren’t able to eat in. They are polite, efficient and quick. Taking just 4 mins for a collection. The best value for money eaterie in Borehamwood. Can’t wait to eat in.

Great little cafe with home made food and cheap fry ups' teas and lots more. Been going there for years. Family business with friendly service.

Wife and i had omlette chips and salad, and mediterranean salad. both were substantial and well put together and tasty. we had teas and the total bill incl tip was £ 25. worthy of future vists , good service, good portions, clean

Started to eat breakfast here when staying at the nearby Premier Inn (much better than theirs). Jenny's breakfasts are excellent, cooked to order, fresh and piping hot. Very reasonably priced and service is prompt and with a smile. A lot of local people use this cafe and that is always a good sign, it is never empty. Highly recommend.

Been a number of times now for a meal and received consistently good service and food. No pretences, just good old fashioned cafe, good value and tasty comfort food.

This Café deserves a review. As a builder who often works in the area I like arriving at my first job having had a decent breakfast. This Café opens early ( 06.30 and 07.30 on a Sunday ) has friendly attentive staff, the food arrives quickly, is good quality and very reasonable in price. Having been here many times over the last year the standards remain high.

Called late afternoon and ordered a cheese burger with egg filling for a very modest price from an extensive menu. Service was prompt and friendly and the food delivered quickly and very tasty. Will use the cafe again.

We have done a review before on this little gem of a cafe but it is so good, we just thought we would do another. We called on Saturday 6th April for breakfast/lunch prior to going to Wembley, (we also came in here in February when it was the Carabao Cup final). It is the best breakfast I have ever had, everything freshly cooked and not dripping in oil, , piping hot, warm plates and all served with a smile. The fresh orange juice is excellent too. All the staff and the owner are super friendly, we always look forward to coming here when we are down for the matches. We will be back on the 18th May.

When you have to travel to meetings, sometimes a good breakfast is what you need before sitting down. As I had turned up a little early, I took a drive through the high street and saw Jenny's Café. Free 30 minute parking outside was enough time to go in, order and eat. Staff were warm, welcoming and friendly. My order (separate items from the breakfast extra's menu) was taken, and my food turned up quite quickly. It is always a joy when you get a really good plate of food, from somewhere you have never been before. hash browns nice and crunchy non the outside, light and fluffy on the inside, well cooked bacon, nice sausage (could have been cooked just a little more for my personal taste)and nice grilled tomatoes. A very nice plate of food, that set me up for the day. I will happily return on future visits.

went for lunch, very busy. the meal was well put together, quickly served and without frills. Basically this is a true café well worth what they charge. definitely a place worthy of patronage.

We go to this restaurant at least twice a month for Sunday lunch under £6 for a roast or a special Jenny grill under £10

Always come here and never had a bad meal. Love the fresh orange and the service is almost too good, Bit of an "East Enders" style atmos and always packed. Prices are reasonable and its just a slice of life at the end of the day.

We called in here on our way to Wembley on Sunday 5th August to watch Manchester City, we were staying at the Ibis in Borehamwwod. The breakfasts are amazing, fresh, hot and well cooked, great value as well. The owner is very friendly and made us feel welcome. All the staff were pleasant and the places itself is nice and clean. We called in again on Monday 6th before we set off back to Manchester. Well worth a visit.

This is a nice friendly family cafe. The owner is very nice. The meals , breakfasts and snack are yummy and the service is very quick. Very reasonable price x

Popped in by chance and so pleased as was lovely and well worth it,ordered the full English was all cooked well and tasty well worth a visit fresh orange was also fresh squeezed and very tasty.

Good solid lunch from this cafe in the busy main street of Borehamwood. I enjoyed my baked potato although the outside was a little overdone. Toast was nice as was the fresh orange juice.

Good value simple food, such as fry ups, shepherds pie, liver and bacon and roasts. They also do salads and sandwiches. Good place for a cheap meal, but don't expect fine dining and tablecloths. I've been going there for years. Always clean and the service is fast. Very cheap meals. I had a great liver and bacon with loads of veg. My friend had a Sheppards pie and we both had tea. The bill came to just over £13! Can't go wrong.

Without any hesitation the worst take away coffee I've ever had. And the worst demonstration of coffee skills ive seen in the industry. The "barista" had no idea what she was doing. I asked for two flat whites she didn't know what that was and tried to offer me a cappuccino but we settled on two take away lattes. Here's where it really goes downhill. They were only being done as single shots in each which I quickly picked up on and asked can they please each be double shots and I'm happy to pay more as I wasn't aware cafes even did single shots anymore! Everywhere is a double shot as standard these days. Especially when the cups were so big. But I was okay with what was offered as it's very easily fixable. Just do the same again! 1+1 = 2! She didn't seem to understand and was confused when I said can you just do the same again to make them both double shots before you add any milk. So she looks at me and then proceeded to just press the extraction button on the machine again to give another shot !!! No new fresh shot of coffee from the grinder or anything added to the portafilter. Whilst it was still all in the machine there already extracted and finished to throw away the burnt stale coffee grounds , she just pushes the button again to give me my "double shot"! Haha. Wow! So what I therefore got was hot water running through stale old already extracted coffee which can't be used anymore running into my already weak single shot coffee. So I had burnt stale coffee And she steamed the milk so damn hot it was all burnt and I couldn't sip it for a good 20 minutes. I just don't understand why some places offer coffee if they have absolutely no idea how to use it or how to make it. Such a big no no.

We chose to visit here for one of our breakfasts during a recent visit in September 2017 to Borehamwood for Elstree Studios. it is very conveniently placed near to the studios , is clean with pleasant and helpful staff. Our breakfasts were well cooked and excellent value for the two of us. The total bill was less than a tenenr for our two breakfasts including 2 really good coffees.

I have visited this breakfast venue a few times and the food is very mediocre. The atmosphere is very dull and feels like an old people's home. If you like depression then by all means visit, I will not be going there again.

Éste es fácilmente el mejor café que he estado! El servicio es rápido y la comida es estupenda. En el último par de semanas he estado aquí 2 o 3 veces que he estado en Borehamwood. Yo había estado muy entretenida, nuggets de pollo recientemente y como los grandes niños soy ordenados nuggets de pollo, patatas y judías y fue increíble! Era exactamente lo que yo quería. Mi madre pidió la verduras Desayuno 2, que venía con salchichas vegetarianas. Mi madre era increíblemente sorprendido cuando ella corte en el vegetariano salchichas y verduras eran reales en un maíz dulce y guisantes!

Paramos aquí para el desayuno del domingo y fue fabuloso! El personal era amable y acogedor, la comida era fabulosa y el art deco eran para morirse! Fue como retroceder en el tiempo a un lugar donde eran cafés y sus clientes eran king las joyas de la corona. Ir allí! Te encantará.

Great food and lovely staff, nice and clean restaurant. The food is very nice and good size portions served very quickly and the prices are reasonable.

We also were going to Elstree Studios and we're looking for a place to grab a bite to eat and escape the rain for an hour. It's about 300 meters from the studios so ideal for us. As we walked it looked clean and tidy. The server said we could sit anywhere and asked if we wanted a drink once we sat down. Fresh orange juice's all round. A quick look at the menu and the drinks arrived, I ordered a traditional breakfast and my wife had a chilli jacket potato. Barely enough time to take a selfie, open Facebook and update my status and my brekkie arrived piping hot, shortly after the chilli jacket turned up.The food was good, solid and filling. My wife said it was the best jacket potato she had had in a long time. My breakfast was just what I wanted.The server was chatty, friendly and the service was good.There also seemed to be a lot of locals in there, always a good sign for me.Would recommend Jenny's.

Absolutely love this place . The owner is a real gentleman. They work very hard because they are very busy. The food is brilliant , have never ever had a bad meal there. Love their coffee. It is one of the reasonable priced places to eat to. The waitress's are very nice too, all in all good place friendly atmosphere . Love it .

Popped in here as going to Elstree Studios. Toasted tea cakes delicious and arrived promptly with tea. Staff friendly and served my husbands tea cake with less butter as requested.

Always good to pop in for a quick, well portioned snack with friendly staff. Prices are good too and don't go up.

This little cafe was recommended to us for breakfast. We found it to be very basic with extremely oily food and not very good coffee. No health choices at all, not even granary bread. The sausages are awful processed tubes.

This is one excellent place to have umpteen varieties of Breakfast and other meals and j st tea r coffee the combinations are simple to complex.The owner Ali and all his staff are per excellent.Shameful not many expensive etc restaurants etc have an excellent all round offering like here.Ok it may be termed budget but never to be undermined by this.When we have a triple egg omelette we ask him to add our own green chillies to have he Mixture and they always do so for us.

Nothing better than dragging myself and my friends outta bed to get ourselves fed on the best hangover cure in Borehamwood! Pricing isn't too bad & service with a smile when I'm hanging gets my thumbs up :)

Cheap, cheerful but never nasty. Good food, good value and excellent service.Sometimes one gets tired of watching what one eats and worrying about calories and cholesterol and the like. Crispy bacon, freshly fried eggs sunny side up, buttered white toast, sausages and baked beans across the plate and even chips if you wish. Hell with slimming this was a rare treat.

All of my family loved Jenny's. This place has a really "old school" feel to it and there is something for everyone on the menu.I recommend the Brown Derby for dessert it's truly yummy!!Great customer service, very clean and e cells for value for money. We paid £25 for 3 drinks, 4 main courses and 1 dessert

Fast super service. Food was great, had a full breakfast for 4 with drinks and only came to £25. If ever near here again will deffo come back.

Visited Jennifer's a couple of weeks ago for a snack/light lunch. 2 members of the staff gave a warm hello and how are you, genuine greeting. The food was ok, prices weren't bad but not as cheap as one would expect. Place was busy, but service was quick. Very clean.I can't speak for a meal as such but breakfast,or lunch I'd recommend.

The restaurant is located 5 minutes walk from my house. I am often there for breakfast. Service fast, you don't have to wait long for food, portions very large, delicious smoothie. If you want a quick breakfast, visit Jenny's Cafe and Restaurant :)

For anyone visiting the Elstree Television studios, this is a perfect little café to visit! I would certainly recommend this to anyone! The place was very clean and the staff were welcoming, polite and eager to please! The service was excellent and quick. We were addressed as Madam and Sir. My husband visited the restroom, and he does tend to be very fussy when it comes to facilities - and he found them, although old and well-used, extremely clean, odourless and dry! There was soap, a clean sink, hot water, hand drying facilities and toilet roll - a far cry from Costa Coffee we had the misfortune of using in the 24 hour Tesco just down the road earlier that day!! Well done to the boys and girls in Jenny's Restaurant and we wish every success for the future!

Me and my husband usually come here for breakfast or brunch.We order traditional breakfast mainly egg, bacon, sausage, chips, beans, toast or bread and tea or coffee included. If you don't want tea or coffee and order separate drinks it's different price.It's wheelchair accessible, near the road and near the bus stop furzehill road for buses 107 & 292.The staff are friendly.

Cheap food, great taste. Would recommend to anywhere looking for places for Brunch especially.Staff not particularly friendly but are not necessarily rude.

We visit London a couple of times per year staying 3 or 4 days in Elstree. Jenny's was the go to café for breakfast. Not this time once was enough. Food luke warm at best.

Walked in and the cafe looked very clean! Cutlery and cockery were very clean which made me very happy :). I ordered the all day breakfast with extras and requested that my food be cooked very well done (due to being pregnant) and all my requests were met perfectly. The food came out quickly and was a nice breakfast. The only criticism is the woman who served me was not very friendly..might have just been a Sunday morning thing! Will deffo come back.

Wasn't after a large meal and came across Jenny's good food great prices quick and pleasant service.

My husband and I usually pop in for breakfast / brunch / lunch and have never been disappointed. Good quality food at reasonable prices, a good choice for vegetarians and good size portions. The restaurant is also nice and clean. Well worth a visit.

A nice cafe. Large inside with plenty of seating. You have to be lucky with room for buggies as there's not much room for them.Standard classic cafe food. Good kids choice.Cheap, cheerful and quick.

We popped in here for a bite to eat and a coffee. Basic cafe with value for money prices. We both fancied the apple pie. Decent size portions which we both enjoyed.

Hungover from the night before. Well this is the place to go. Fry ups where the tomato sauce runs off the food from the grease. Yum I say. Decent prices and they give you a lot as well. I ate here with the family as well and they enjoyed themselves. DAD SAVES THE DAY AGAIN :)

This is your average cafe where everyone goes for a bite. Workmen after their shift, business men in suit, couples with kids, food is good, lots of classic British food.

We were staying in the nearby Travel Lodge with very little in the way of breakfast on offer. The receptionist directed us to Jenny's and this was just the ticket. Open at 7.30 on a Sunday, it meant we were able to maintain the early starts on our tour. Great service, delicious food and very friendly staff.

In the Strictly queue at an unearthly hour on a Saturday morning,having been relieved to find somewhere serving coffee and breakfast different from the usual high street coffee shops.The coffee was lovely as was the bacon sandwhich, just what i needed before rejoining the queue.My friend also enjoyed her poached eggs! service with a smile and also open on a Sunday morning useful to know as far better than the Ibis

My partner and I ate here here on 18.10.14, we saw the show strictly come dacning and wanted to go for a meal before the show,we both realy ejoyed our meal,realy friendly staff there and the prices were realy good too, reccomend jennys to anyone

There are a number of similar restaurants in Borehamwood, this one is not one of my favourites. We only tend to go there if other restaurants are full or closed. Portions could be bigger.

Hubby and I stayed over in borehamwood when we went to a big brother eviction show.brilliant breakfast very reasonably priced .also had our lunch there ,there is a huge choice on the menu ,would highly recommend

Nowhere for disabled to sit in a wheelchair only at end of a table which blocked the aisle off but friendly staff and good food.

This chain used to be good value and quality but its been over-taken by other fast food restaurants offering better value for money.

We had our breakfast here after checking out form hotel nearby. Breakfast was good, prices were OK (about £5 for a full English breakfast with coffee and toast too).

Arrived here late in the afternoon after travelling from France - we were hungry. The service was quick and good. The food came promptly, tasted great and was served with a smile. This is not fine dining, just an honest down-to-earth café and as good as it gets.

Like most fast food establishments, this one has the all familiar fare. It does however feel more like a family owned establishment with customers being made to feel rather more valued than some of the larger chain fast food establishments.

Called in for breakfast as the hotel I was staying in does not serve breakfast until 9.00 am!!No private parking but Tesco have a large car park nearby or pay and display short walk away. Opens at seven am which suited me just fine. Huge menu to choose from. I chose "all day breakfast" which also includes tea or "proper" coffee( not instant) toast or bread and butter for a mere £3.90 which I thought was was not expensive. Cafe was immaculately clean, service good and polite. Food was well cooked and not at all greasy. Will call again for sure.

Our first visit was a Friday mid-morning for breakfast. The place is clean and the service was quick although two large teabags in a mug were a bit much. Prices are reasonable unfortunately as in most places that sell breakfast they have a problem with heating the baked beans which is extremely off putting for my wife. The next day Saturday mid-morning it was quite full and from what I heard there was a member of staff short, although the three guys behind the counter seemed to have all the time in the world the waitress was doing a very good headless chicken impression. Our breakfast came minus the toast and despite twice bringing it to the attention of the staff we only received one round of toast for two of us. When I went to pay he tried to charge me for two toasts, he knew we had only had one because he was the man who brought it, and in the end he only knocked 50p off the bill, a few others where calling back the waitress with items missing from their breakfast and just as we were leaving group of workmen where just paying for their breakfast and thanking the waitress for the free toast! My toast!!

Having lived now in Borehamwood for over a year, the next food place to tick off my list was the good old "greasy spoon" for a full English Breakfast to get my Saturday going.I've trailed up and down the Shenley Road on many occasion (mainly to go to Tesco for the weekly shop) and always harboured the thought of visiting Jenny's for a breakfast one of these days.That day arrived today and firstly I must say that Jenny's did not disappoint. £4.95 for the Brunch Breakfast option, came with a mug of fresh ground coffee (better than the Nescafé [--] you often get served) to get the ball rolling.Service from the team was great, always with a smile and if you fancied a breakfast of luxury, just plonk yourself at a table and they will come and take your order restaurant style.The food (Breakfast of Champions) was delivered piping hot, perfectly cooked and most importantly made from FRESHLY COOKED ingredients - let this be a lesson to other "Greasy Spoons" as bacon cooked just once is bacon at it's finest; by the fifth time you can sole a shoe with the rasher.Atmosphere is pleasant, service team as said before make you feel welcome and for a Saturday morning, Jenny's was a very nice surprise indeed.
