Popped in for coffee and cake when visiting the area. The lady who served me was so friendly and welcoming, we had a chat about the cakes and the weather. I had a slice of clotted cream cake and a coffee - the cake was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Wish I’d stayed for a full lunch. Would thoroughly recommend.

What an amazing cafe! Firstly the service is totally wonderful, so personal and friendly and a true independent cafe vibe! The food is truly excellent!! Such a range and beautifully presented, amazing flavour and good value. There is so much care and love put into this place - it’s really worth the car park fee to have a chilled time here on a morning or afternoon. Totally great for families or couples or solo im sure!

Me and my boyfriend love finding cosy spots ran by good people and this is exactly that. Food quality & portions was brilliant, and they had an innovative menu without being pretentious. The price point is extremely reasonable given how fantastic the product you receive is, and the customer service was impeccable. We chatted to the owners and staff who were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The decor is so homely and tasteful, not over the top at all. Couldn't recommend enough, thanks for making our weekend camping trip all the more memorable. Zara & Barney x

We had a cooked breakfast on a sunny Sunday morning. It was genuinely the best cooked breakfast I’ve ever had. The sausages were very tasty. The little potatoes were crispy and fantastic.

From the start, the ambience of the cafe made us feel welcome, in a lovely setting in the Country park with both indoor and outdoor dining. Lots of extra touches with lovely signs and decor. More importantly the food and service were second to none. We were particularly impressed that the cafe staff were able to accommodate our requests and cook some breakfast items that were not on the menu, which they did willingly and made the experience extra special. Nothing was too much for the friendly and approachable staff. It was also interesting to hear the ethos of the cafe and wish them all well in their endeavours. We really enjoyed our post parkrun breakfast and will definitely return.

Fabulous breakfast. Visited after parkrun, and had two vegetarian breakfasts. Menu has vegan or meat but they did us veggie - should really be on the menu!

What an amazing little place. It’s quite hidden here and you could easily miss it if you didn’t know it was there. Staff are friendly and welcoming, food is lovely and the feeling overall is great. We had a lovely time today in a big group.

Have had an English breakfast previously which was fantastic, but this time we had a couple of Ham and cheese toasties. Absolutely elite, no ordinary toastie. Coffee’s are beautifully poured as well. Staff are very warm and friendly. A fantastic addition to any day out.

We hired the smaller private room for a family tea to celebrate a special birthday. There were 15 of us, grandparents, parents and children. From the start of our relationship with Mabel's administrator, Martine, discussions flowed easily - price, one glutenfree guest, one vegetarian, lots of details - nothing was too much trouble. On the day there was plenty to eat - sandwiches, scones, cakes and a drinks bar with prosecco. Sara, our waitress, was a star, making sure everyone had everything we wanted including extra cups of tea or coffee. Everyone enjoyed the relaxing informal event. The room was full of Victoriana and the children loved the experience and also the opportunity to explore the garden (with adult supervision). Our family tea at Mabel's was everything we wanted for our special day. Huge thanks to Martine and Sara for all their beautiful hospitality and care.

Great spot for a lunch and lovely service. Everyone is so kind and attentive. We had a panini and a wrap which were both very yummy. Would recommend for anyone looking for a nice brunch/lunch spot in Potters Bar

Turned up with a bunch of other cyclists and had hot drinks provided in record time, and hot food very soon afterwards, all with good service and good prices. We had outdoor seating, bikes visible at all times and will return again
