My OH and I called in to Rossini's on Friday evening for a quick bite to save cooking. The restaurant is in a cordoned off section of the Two Brewers Pub, and although the pub itself seemed quite busy we were surprised that there were no other diners in the restaurant area. The restaurant area is decorated with artificial plants, vases and pots, and photos of Italy - it's not really flash but feels cosy and like a little authentic Italian family neighbourhood restaurant. Service was excellent, both of our servers were friendly and chatty, and despite being the only diners we didn't feel uncomfortable or unwelcome which can sometimes be the case. Food was first rate, again nothing flash but authentic and reasonably priced pasta, pizzas and main course grills in good sized portions. My OH had Arancini for a starter, I tried it too and we both thought it was very tasty. I had a spicy chicken, bacon and tomato penne and it was very spicy but lovely, my OH had the house pasta which he declared very good. We were both too full for desserts but next time we will save room! I do hope Rossini's gets more customers as they deserve to succeed, it is so nice to have an authentic and well priced Italian in Chelmsford instead of all the chain restaurants and over priced 'special occasion' restaurants.

Not been to what was a lovely little lunch spot for some time but what a price hike! Prices online did not reflect those on the menu. Lemon cake dry & brick-like despite cream & fruit. Tiramisu very rich & sweet, unable to finish either. Coffees very expensive too. Very disappointed that practically all lunch options £10-£20 at least!!

Last year I was doing hospitality and catering level 2 and I was waitering in this restaurant so I know what it’s like. Then I thought why don’t I just see what’s it’s like as a customer? Came today and OMG! I love it. Food was brilliant! I ordered a scotch egg (it was really filling but it was lovely), sweet and sour pork with fried rice (this meal combined brilliantly!), and profiteroles (the choux pastry was good and cream and chocolate was amazing). The service was good but as I learnt last year how to do posh waitering you have to serve from the left and clear from the right and you have to do de-crumbing e.t.c. They didn’t do de crumbing or the serve and clear as they forgot. I understand that. But even though I absolutely loved it (it did feel awkward as I was a waiter before here but you can get used to it! 😂) Definitely will come again! Thank you princes room restaurant. And well done to the waiter! 😁😁

As a customer that was always in shwings when they had a restaurant on new london rd, I’m so so so disappointed on the new location, service, and the standard of food. Me and my partner decided to have shwings because we hadnt had it since they shut the restaurant, we was very let down by the whole experience and definitely wont be returning which is really annoying as we enjoyed it so much at the restaurant. The food was served on paper plates/bowls, we got given wooden forks, and the quality of the food wasnt up to the standards we’ve previously experienced with shwings. The location is not great either as its a bar/club and frequently visted by the homeless which makes an unpleasant atmosphere while eating. This used to be a restaurant you could take the family or be with friends and would have a lovely meal, great experience every single time. Now I definitely wouldn’t recommend for anyone with children or even a meal with friends. Overall a very disappointing experience and so sad.

I went to cosy club in Chelmsford on Sunday 4th May for bottomless brunch with my MIL and SIL. We had the best time with Amy as our waitress, food was amazing but the service from Amy and other staff was exceptional. Really recommend to anyone looking for a brunch with a wide range of drinks, cocktails and food options!

I came here to meet a few work colleagues for coffee and cake. The coffee was very nice but we were a bit disappointed by the selection of cakes (where was the Carrot cake which looks so nice on the website?) which were quite limited. The staff were quite friendly but they soon cleared our table once we had finished and they seemed to in a hurry for us to leave which was a shame as we would have stayed longer than an hour. As it was when we left, at 12.10, there were no other customers there - despite it being Lunch-time on a Friday - so it would not have mattered if we had stayed longer. On paying the bill, the prices were quite high for what we had (£7 for a coffee and an average slice of cake) so quite disappointing really and nothing special.

What is the obsession with mustard. Mustard in both my ham and cheese toastie and a pigs in blanket roll? Doesn’t make any sense to me. Mustard is a commonly liked sauce so I don’t understand why pret covers everything in it. Both my meals would have been really nice if they hadnt of been covered in mustard.

Best bottomless brunch I've been too. Drinks were constantly flowing non stop. Once one drink was delivered the order for the next one was taken. There was 30 of us as well so they had their work cut out! Amazing service from Daisy and Leonie. Highly recommend!

We are so pleased that we chose this lovely little pub to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary, together with a close family group. Right from when we first booked we have always felt very welcomed by their friendly and helpful management. Our guests all commented on how much they enjoyed their meals and how lovely and friendly the staff were. A big "Thank You" to Sue, Andy and The Ship staff for making our special occasion so memorable.
