The best restaurants serving British food in Basildon East of England

I take my 20 year old Bichon Frise most days for breakfast where Siddyboy is treated like a king, the staff bend over backwards to make you and/or your fur babies very welcome. Adore the place and staff, a big thank you to everyone

Nice clean place, but that is all I can say was good. The worst pie & mash I've ever had, the meal was only luke warm, and the pies were under cooked, there was a group on another table that complained about their meal being cold, and then walked out leaving the food on the table. This was my first time in this restaraunt and will be my last.

The pies were soggy and not a lot of meat mash was average, and the liquor was Luke warm. Would I go back? Definitely not.

Staff were nice but didn’t seem to know what they were doing. Fingers and hands all over the coffee glass rim. Three things I asked for they didn’t have. Had to ask for a glass for the bottle of lemonade (which was third choice). Sat outside because we had a dog and to enjoy the sun - in a cloud of staff Vaping in the doorway next to us and smokers the other side. Never returning, plenty of other places in high st that know how to run things properly.

Meal was great, not a lot of a wait

Food i ordered washing the food they bought out lucky it was still gluten free

absolutely no seasoning food was very bland and dull except the pigs in blankets due to the salty bacon. SEASON AND TASTE YOUR COOKING.

Have not tried the food yet had a pint of Fosters attentive friendly staff?

It’s never on time I’ve even tried ordering early and it still doesn’t make it here on time

Please be aware of the blue boar carpark if your not moving your car within 2hours, be prepared for heavy fine.

food was Luke warm and not that great and salad bar was sparce and in a bit of a mess the only good thing was the waitress. Don't think we will be back ever again not that cheap either

The Breakfast is absolutely amazing every time we go, we won’t go anywhere else as it can’t be beaten and we’ve tried most places, Well done All Seasons Restaurant in Alton garden centre.

Staff are not very welcoming. You ask for something and it seems too much. Chips are horrible and cola is flat. Atmosphere is like you are a funeral. Decor is very gloomy too. Feels like I’m in the Wimpy back in 1982.

Alot of dirty tables when we arrived breakfast serving had just finished. The young staff member was polite and told us to find a clean table and came over to take our order. Our drinks weren’t very hot we managed to drink them in minutes. We both ordered jacket potatoes with coronation chicken whilst the filling was very tasty there just wasn’t enough maybe a tablespoon heap inside the potato was all there was, my salad had onion skin in but there were no onions in the salad i just dont think it was worth the £10 price tag
