food was Luke warm and not that great and salad bar was sparce and in a bit of a mess the only good thing was the waitress. Don't think we will be back ever again not that cheap either

Visited here with my wife and it is a lovely venue. Initially we booked for 17:00 but was slightly early, but was seated straight away. My wife ordered the pork belly with a jacket potato, I ordered the Harvester Combo. Salad bar was well stocked but had a lot of cross contamination which isn’t necessarily their fault but a lot of it was round the edges and could’ve just been wiped away. Food My wife really enjoyed her meal but didn’t manage to finish it all so was provided a take away box so she can have the rest for lunch tomorrow. My meal was nice, but, considering the price it was a small meal or appeared that due to being on a plate that was a lot bigger than necessary. Food was nice, ribs had a lovely BBQ taste to them but the chicken although moist didn’t really have any flavour other than chicken. Staff In the main the staff were nice and attentive however, at the end of our meal they couldn’t get rid of us quick enough. My wife ordered a tea instead of a dessert and hadn’t finished this before being asked to pay the bill! Yes they had a table of 20 booked in the same section we were but that wasn’t due to arrive for 1 hour 45 minutes so we had more than enough time to sit and enjoy our dessert/drink. Overall, we would visit again as the food was nice but staff rushing out but a dampener on the experience.

We visited today (22/06/2024) with friends we had such a lovely experience. Food was delicious one of the best harvester meals I have had in a long time. Service was fantastic. Our waiter Billy was so welcoming and could not do more for us. We had our 1 year old son with us who loves to feed himself, but this can be quite messy. Billy told us not to worry at all and just enjoy our meal. He was so welcoming and also on the ball. He brought our sons meal over on a cooler plate just to be on the safe side and I thought this was really thoughtful. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely, all staff seemed happy and friendly. Toilets were lovely and clean. Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable Billy and team!

Popped in for breakfast . Could not fault .nicely presented food .waitress on the ball with service . No issues with food what so ever . And top up on coffee nice touch. Will try again . Maybe kitchen has diffrent staff on diffrent days and cooking differs . But our visit was very pleasant

Always love a breakfast here, food was full of flavour and filling to. The service makes it alot better and Lauren was exceptional, friendly, welcoming and even some banter. Lovely mannerisms and a nice smile which goes along way made the visit alot more enjoyable.

From past experience I expected the Harvester to be bad, but on this occasion they excelled at that and have reached the lowest level of TERRIBLE !!!! From the moment we arrived things began to go bad. As a group of ten with two small children, we were seated in a hot scruffy area that looked like it needed a good clean, with cobwebs around the speakers and a collapsing broken chair that was shrugged off by the manager who tried to make a joke of it. The service was prompt at first, but quickly became very slow and as our plates from our starters began piling up on our tables, the waitresses causually walked by with no intention of clearing them, and began serving our main meals. I had to clear the plates myself so that we could have space to eat. I ordered a Rib eye steak which was 90 % fat and grissle, which I tried to eat but nearly died choking on, but was saved by my step daughter ! My grand- daughter spilt her coke over the table and as we fought to mop up the mess, my step daughter was handed a mop to clear up the spilt Coke. Which she did offered to clear up, but the waitress did not offer to clear it herself. When I complained to the waitress about my shrivelled fried tomato, the waitress was very reluctant to change it, and offred it to my wife ! and it was only my insistence that got it changed! I had to plead with the manager to take my awefull steak off our bill. Overall the food was very average and cold. We all decide that we didn't want to have desserts as it would further add to the bad atmosphere and dissapointment. We couldn't get out quick enough !

Been here a few times over the years & it’s always good here. Went this weekend, was seated within a few minutes of arriving & the lady who seated us automatically removed a chair from the table so I could get my wheelchair in place which was lovely of her as you don’t always get that without asking unfortunately. Our server was Lauren, such a lovely & tentative girl who looked after us perfectly! The food & drinks were very nice, tasty, perfectly cooked & hot & a good price! We were well looked after again by the lovely staff, no complaints & we will be back again the next time we are in the area. Many thanks you guys!

Ellie was our server and she was brilliant. Friendly, polite, exactly what you want and expect in a waitress/waiter. Thank you for restoring my faith in the hospitality industry after my last few visits to different restaurants ( Not Harvester's) and having awful service, it was such a relief and breath of fresh air to have great service.

Staying in the area and had several restaurants to choose from. Ate twice at the harvester which had a good value dinner menu with a choice of 2 or 3 courses...Had to ask for this the second night when I ordered at the bar..a busy restaurant but good value..Complimentary salad bar and had different choices each time , calamari starter and chicken skewers , nachos,dirty burger and chocolate sundae the second. Thought the drinks were a reasonable price as well...

Disappointed toilets out of order still from before Christmas not acceptable staff slow order ice cream with fudge brownie machine broken so lsy said they will put scoops in hardly no I e cream at all won't be going again

There was a group of 18 of us, we was looked after by Richard who was really friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and came out quick and he kept the drinks flowing to the table! We all had a fantastic evening. Thank you

Second time I have been recently and both time have had a brilliant experience. The salad bar has been well stocked and fresh, someone was constantly checking what was needed. Both times the servers have been lovely, helpful and smiling even though it was really busy! The food has been delicious, fresh, hot and great portion sizes. It’s a really affordable place to go!

We were a group of 30 people having a Christmas do. The service was excellent, our waitress was Stacey who coped admirably with the workload. We were slightly disappointed by the early closing (last orders 21.45). The food was very good and excellent value, and the famous salad bar is as good as ever. Thanks

The food was a huge disappointment....of course prices have increased but the quality has not. My 9 year old grandson had a side of cheesy chips, which had a black tar like substance in the middle of the chips. Obviously this squashed his appetite instantly. Although another portion was promptly served, it was too late....we couldn't get him to eat them. My husband had the ribeye steak but it was fatty and chewy, and the mushroom was dripping in cooking oil. We have eaten here loads of times but will not be returning after this disappointing visit. There was only one ladies room available, and that was in a disgusting state....as for the salad bar, that was a total mess of cross contamination and dirty tongs. As usual the waitresses were brilliant but unfortunately the food was not

Visited regularly on a combination of weeknights and Sunday's for several months. Food is generally ok and on par with what you might make at home. On our last visit one person was trying to manage the service of a dozen or so tables and we had to wait half an hour to order our dessert which is far to long. To be fair this chap was working flat out and not his fault at all, it is just difficult to understand why he had no support. We did complain about the wait and the response was little more than rolled eyes followed by a management argument that we were eating from a fixed price menu and therefore must pay in full for food we no longer want on account of being left sitting at a table for 30 minutes trying to attract the attention of someone who is too busy to help us. Asking me if I want a dessert doggy bag to justify this nonsense doesn't work. Manager did make an adjustment to our bill but it was a unilateral adjustment without negotiation or agreement, the guy wasn't remotely interested in anything we had to say. As a customer I have no control over how few staff you choose to put on the floor, blaming me for the poor customer experience this creates is not great, asking me to pay for it is not acceptable. Ultimately the food is not memorable enough to offset the bad experience so our Sunday lunch budget will now be spent elsewhere. & My dinner had the smallest portion of gravy I have ever seen, my dry dinner might have influenced my experience and ultimately this review. I'm sure it would have been an easy fix, shame the staff were so busy......

Basically went with my bf for his birthday and the food was delicious Had a haddock and chips and my bf had a beef burger. Chef’s deserve a great pat on the back. For desserts had a vegan ice cream with raspberry sauce and my bf had the chocolate desert and they were both delicious. The only nitpick I had was the Diet Pepsi was empty on the drink machine but luckily they the machine had orange tango which was even better. Aside from this, me and bf had a great meal and our waitress Stacy was amazing Definitely recommend if your in the area Solid 5/5

We live locally and visited this Harvester today as we had a 50% off Black Friday voucher. When we arrived the place was rammed and there was a queue to be seated. Once at the front we were seated immediately. We expected a long wait for food and an under stocked salad bar but was pleasantly surprised. Our server all night was Samantha who was very polite and attentive. I had the sirloin steak, my husband had the mixed grill , 2 other family members had the chicken skewer and the haddock and chips. All of the food was cooked perfectly, this steak was probably cooked better than any steak I’ve eaten here before. All the meals were excellent and the service could not have been faulted. Considering how busy they were and our expectations of a wait, they really out did themselves. Will definitely be back soon!

Had an amazing lunch at Harvester Honey Pot with my partner today. The food was incredibly tasty, and the complimentary salad bar is always a nice touch. The 2-course deal for £12.99 offered excellent value for the high-quality dishes. We savoured the classic chicken burger and fries as well as the delightful waffle with Belgian chocolate sauce and ice cream for dessert – both courses were simply delicious. A special mention must go to Ela, who's service was top-notch, incredibly friendly, and attentive. A fantastic experience overall and we'll definitely be back very soon!
