Jasper and Adam were absolutely fantastic, great staff members, very kind and accommodatingx

Mrs and i really fancied a burger for lunch and opted to eat in the Red Lion. We both had the Ultimate spicy burger and i must say its possibly the best burger ive had in Essex (had a great burger at Fergburger in Auckland- unbeatable). Great service too.

Saturday nights are great, especially when the have live music. They have had some great bands in there. And the bar staff are lovely :-)

Great service and lovely food. Special effort was made to accommodate a Vegan meal, with substitutions and sauces to compliment the vegan dish. Would highly recommend.

A bit of a random find whilst out for the day. Had the Sunday Roast. Generous portions, high quality and freshly prepared. Chilled out atmosphere with kind and attentive bar staff. Also dog friendly, with the cool water bowl. Basically everything you would look for in a great little pub.

Vibrant and inviting. Quite a busy pub and everyone seemed to be having a great time!

There are so few good places to drink in central Billericay. The staff here are friendly and the beer's always good, but the music's often too loud if you just want to sit and chat and the other clientele can be quite rowdy. It's okay, but it's only okay.

Not tried the food but atmosphere and service are top notch

We had great service the whole time, a nice place to chill with friends in the evening with the entertainment such as a pool table or the snacks like we had as there was lots to offer.

Favourite, go-to pub. Staff are always so polite, welcoming and friendly. Always clean and food is always delicious, never had any problems. 100% recommend

Me and my family went here for lunch today. We had to wait 45 minutes for our meal and when it came the burger was burnt and the steak baguette was cold. We couldn't wait for the cook to do another baguette as we had to pick up children from school so asked to see the landlady. After another 20 minutes waiting we were told she was ' too busy ' to come into the bar and we would just have to wait. The meal with drinks ( one each for a party of 3 ) came to nearly £50 although they did deduct the price of the steak sandwich which we hadn't eaten and had sent back as it was so cold. The barmaid whose name was Maisie was rude to me and my daughter and actually said ' you can complain about me if you like ' and when we asked her for the phone number of the pub told us we would have to Google it. All in all a very disappointing visit. Food awful, customer service awful and a very rude and unhelpful barmaid. Do not visit this pub if you want a decent hot lunch which is value for money, you will not get it here.

Thank you so much to the staff at the red lion for letting me use the stable room to host my charity event. The staff were all lovely and friendly nothing was too much trouble. Perfect room to hire for any event.

I have started ordering a collection for lunchtime regularly and each time i have, it has been amazing. Super club sandwich and fair price

Located on the High Street, easy to find, good variety of drinks and food. Atmosphere was great. Music selection was perfect. Our server had good knowledge of the alcohol selection and local beers. Friendly staff, easily accessible with good seating and layout. My nachos were tasty and my local beer was a good compliment to my food choice.

Didn't eat, but get place to start the night with friends. Great little beer garden and plenty of places to sit, stand and catch-up.

Had a nice lunch, service was very friendly and professional as usual. Always feel comfortable here. Definitely recommend.

Visited The Red Lion for lunch yesterday and we were so impressed. I had Cod & Chips and my wife had the Scampi. The food was lovely and hot, my Cod was enormous! Fantastic value for money. The service was fast and the staff were very attentive and ever so friendly. I can certainly say we will be back very soon. Well done Red Lion, we were pleasantly surprised.

We are regular visitors at The Red Lion, we find it comfortable, friendly, the staff can't do enough for you, it's always clean and tidy, the manager is really friendly, food is great plenty of it and always hot, it's a pleasure going there. Thanks

Great pub with a really good atmosphere! The staff were so helpful and friendly and the manager was so attentive to the large party we had of 12 adults and 3 children. Nothing was too much trouble and the food and service were great!!

Lovely pub with clean areas and well garnished drinks. Run out of rocket that day for the chicken garnish but otherwise very fresh and hot food.

Popped in Red Lion today, been a while, but after the news I've heard the new management has turned it around,... and wow,.. they have, top food, top service and a great drink selection. We will be back....

Wonderful pub, with a great selection of beers on offer. Became a regular after staff like Nicole, Ryan, Amy and Ria always made me and my partner feel at home. Definitely worth a visit

I went to the Red Lion the other day and was very warmly welcomed by the staff behind the bar and made me feel very welcome. I ordered food on the Tuesday and they have a great deal of a burger and pint for only £10.95 on selected beers. Great staff, Great beers , Great food , Great Pub Zoe and the team have done a great job

Walked in - 1600 ish - two bar staff on think one was learning - waited 12m to be served no problem there - only to be told my choice of drink was run dry 🤪… Mass produced keg beer really ! Of course you can’t be Bothered changing the keg I’d say ….Off to spoon 🥄 spoons

I have to say the welcome we received was warm & friendly a proper pub. Nothing was too much trouble, and the service & cleanliness was excellent. I met two friends I hadn't seen for ages over a 5-hour period and the staff looked after & interacted with us especially with the banter. The other customers were also friendly and on many occasions all customers were bantering with each other but not loud or boisterous just laughing & joking around the pool table area. I don’t write many reviews these days but made me feel like I was in a relaxed local pub back in the day. Whenever I’m in Billericay this will be my pub of choice 10/10

Very welcoming pub on the high street with easy to find parking behind in Iceland Friendly service and the food was delicious Thoroughly recommend this venue. You will not be disappointed We aim to return again

Just had a roast chicken dinner here and it was probably the best ever. Moist chicken ,crispy roast spuds, crunchy stufing balls,.perfect. ( and big ).

My local of many years, absolutely amazing since Zoe the landlady took over last year. Staff make you feel like you’re part of the family, great pool table and an amazing atmosphere whatever time of the week. Definitely recommend!

Charging over £9 for nachos for this? Staff are so lovely and we come here all the time and the food used to be great. These are the nachos after I sent them back twice. Surely you can’t charge over £9 for large nachos and...

OMG, Love this pub. Great drinks and the Lion has a little jacket on. They also now serve my favourite drinks - Pina Coladas! 10/10. The fruit machine keeps taking my money... cheeky ;) DannyO.

Feeling in need of a bit of “attitude adjustment”, I decided to renew my acquaintance with the Red Lion which I probably visited last in about 1980!! Obviously things have changed out if all proportion to then but it was good to find a good selection of beers on tap and, as far as I could see, three good Real Ales. The pub has a friendly feel and the Barman was friendly and quick to serve me. The Ale (Marston’s Pedigree) was good and obviously came from clean pipes! I was only there for a short time because I had to be elsewhere but I will definitely be returning! Thank you.

Stopped in for a pint and something to eat on a Saturday lunchtime go beer then sat down to look at menu. Went back to bar to place orders only to be told kitchen is now shut due to a private function later. Not happy and hungry

Had an excellent Sunday roast with the family. Have been in before for drinks but saw they now do a Sunday roast. Plenty of delicious freshly cooked veg, roast potatoes and all the trimmings. Staff were really friendly and great service. Definitely recommend.

Cool Pub in the heart of the town.

Came in for quick drink before the FA cup final, ended up staying the whole night, had a really good time, the bar staff looked after us, especially a two staff called Seb and Nicole I think. Beer was cold and the vibe was friendly

The red lion hosted the wake for my brother in law who sadly passed away aged 30. The manageress and the staff where amazing and did a wonderful job looking after everyone. Thank you all so much for helping bring a little comfort to our family on a very difficult day.

Zoe and her team hosted my son's wake at the Red Lion as my son loved this pub. Zoe met us to discuss our needs and has such a wonderful, warm personality that I felt like I'd known her for years. We will definitely be re-visiting this establishment in happier times. Thank you Zoe and your team from all the family
