Slow service, even though not busy. Given eye contact by staff at the bar but ignored while they continued to chat. Not offered any condiments or napkins when eventually served with cold, yet overcooked chicken in a ciabatta. Very tight on the amount of chicken in the serving. I only ate the food because I was so hungry otherwise I would have sent it back. Staff in serious need of customer service training. Very poor experience and would not return to this “part of the high street Premium family” again.

Ibis London Luton Airport, could be the ideal choice for travelers, if only it delivered on its promise to give you ‘a cosy room with all amenities you will need for a comfortable stay and a stylish welcome’. Unfortunately, the reality did not match this polished image. The room I stayed in was a far cry from the bright, clean, modern spaces depicted online. Instead of stylish wooden floors and cosy finishes, I encountered worn and dirty carpets, mismatched paintwork, neglected ceilings and a few damaged fixtures. At £70, Ibis Luton is definitely cheaper than competitors like Holiday Inn and The Courtyard by Marriott. Its price point, coupled with its proximity to the airport—it is the second-closest hotel to the terminal—are undeniable advantages. Its strongest asset by far is its staff. Both the front desk and bar teams provided efficient, professional, and genuinely welcoming service, making every effort to elevate my experience. Despite these positives, Ibis Luton failed to live up to its self-proclaimed standards. The advertised promise of comfort and style feels unfulfilled, leaving the property struggling to justify its three-star rating.

So disappointed in our visit. We braved the crowds and visited the market on a Saturday afternoon. The pub looked warm and welcoming on a very cold day. We were ushered to the bar when we first got there while a table was made ready for us. Only waited 10 minutes which was great. Ordered some bread and olives which took 20 minutes to arrive …. We should have taken more notice of the timing!!! After an hour of waiting for our lunch (a chicken wrap and a roast beef sandwich) we asked for the bill and for our order to be cancelled. The waitress apologised and offered us our sandwiches free of charge but quite frankly we’d had enough of waiting. Won’t bother going back but if you want to wait ages for food, it might suit you. All the gear and no idea springs to mind!!!

I had to arrange a wake for my father and as the funeral was at St. Mary's church, called the Quart pot regarding the wake. I was met with a compassionate response from the start. The contacts were always the same. We arrived at 3.15 to be met with lovely tea and coffee and a bar area for us. The food arrived soon after and was top class. The selection was fantastic as was the quality. I would certainly recommend the Quart pot fir any event as well as for a meal. Thank you Quart pot!

Living in this area over forty years we have used this pub since it was a proper pub and witnessed all the changes throughout the years . We arrived at 1pm to find there was no ale available. All four pumps were turned off. The staff appeared to be disinterested about any availability of having any put on. Is this through mismanagement, incompetence or is this pub not wanting to cater for all customers needs? Usually some ales may be out or not ready but to have none is mot acceptable.
