Just returned home from White Hart in Godmanchester after a family meal. It was unbelievable, quality of the food was outstanding, presentation was sensational, and the portions were off the scale. If anyone ever leaves this restaurant saying they are hungry, then they are lying out of their teeth. The service was also first class in every way. It was a fabulous experience, and you deserve all the success that you can get. Needless to say the restaurant was rammed. Thank you so much. David Ebdale

We went one Christmas so booked a Sunday lunch. Walked in and was told place was now closed - no contact at all. Told we could go to another one in Norwich but it was rammed and food all gone. VERY disappointed. Place was excellent and staff brilliant. It will be missed

Absolutely awful and over priced. The salty chicken needed a steak knife. The fish batter was slimy and full of oil. The baked potato, gravy and salad items all tasted of preservatives and the veg was cold. They are closing down next week and staff morale is very low. Don't waste your money

We hadn’t visited the Wilford Bridge for a while, seems like a different place now, tasteful decor, great atmosphere, staff friendly and efficient and we REALLY enjoyed the roast beef, cooked pink, flavoursome gravy, well presented vegetable (it was only cabbage, but, cooked al dente, so retained colour and flavour, using the App made it excellent value, we are going again next week!

Very disappointed with trying this place for the first time and was really looking forward to it but will not be returning again. Booked a table for 6 in advance and arrived the 4 of us to be told they couldn’t find our booking. It then took them 10-15 mins to figure out 2 people in our party had already arrived and they had already checked the table in and therefore couldn’t find the booking. The person who we initially spoke to was rude and did not even apologise for making us think we had made up the booking and he even found it funny which we didn’t. Service extremely slow, food very average , lack of attention to detail as only 3 water glasses laid out for the 6 of us and no teaspoons provided with latte we ordered. Don’t waste your money on this place if you like very average over priced , slow and non existent service

Having visited the Alma before for food and drinks, we were excited to stay for the night this time, however we were absolutely wowed by the service from start to finish. From the moment we arrived we were given the warmest welcome and felt at home, the room was lovely- cosy, very clean and not at all noisy considering the pub downstairs was busy. The food was also exceptional on every occasion- we ate in the pub several times over the weekend and each meal we thoroughly enjoyed and were very impressed by the freshness and quality of the food (special mention to the crab linguine which was delicious!). However, the thing we were most impressed by was the customer service. Nothing was too much trouble and we truly felt so welcomed throughout our stay, it really was like a home away from home. Every single member of staff we dealt with was lovely and incredibly helpful. Couldn’t recommend highly enough

Ghastly - we went for the Sunday roast. The pub used to be fab several years ago so we saw they were advertising roasts and thought we would try it. Never again. They didn't have our booking, we had to get our own menus and we had to ask to order drinks. I felt sorry for the one poor girl who was working there. The food was disgusting - I think they poured hot gravy on everything (the food was swimming in it) to warm up whatever had been standing there all day (we went at 5pm). It came all plated up and for some reason the 'roast' potatoes were cut into small cubes. Why? Veg was a couple of carrots and frozen peas. No one came to ask how our food was - we would have said. We paid and left.
