The best restaurants serving British food in West Lindsey East Midlands

Like all farm shops you are paying premium prices. But, are becoming so common now. So, not really offering anything exceptional for the market place they are in. Prefer Yorkshire farmshop produce as meats offered just have an edge.

Went with a group of ex work colleagues for lunchtime special and everyone ewas pleased with the quality of the food,the friendly and efficient service and nice atmosphere. Will definitely return. Really good value

A welcoming country pub, which was well heated. A cosy atmosphere with a mature customer base. Great choice of food. Most of it home cooked massive portions.

So much potential needs a revamp. Food was average my fish n chips looked refried and well over done. Staff could do with a uniform dress code as they appeared untidy. Not the worst place just needs tweaking a bit.

Absolutely lovely evening with friends. The staff couldn't have done anymore to make things comfortable for us. We were given a private room at no extra cost, which was away from a very noisy party. The staff were lovely and very attentive. Special shout out to Stuart, who had the biggest smile all night and really looked after us. The food was lovely and plenty of it. Would highly recommend. We will be back.

Booked the valentines afternoon. When we arrive we was greeted by a very friendly lady who escorted us to our table she took our drinks order and within minutes our drinks and afternoon tea was served. The afternoon tea was incredible everything was so fresh and great quality ingredients. Best afternoon tea I've ever had. 100% will be returning and recommend to friends and family.

Understocked farm shop with a cafe .Nice premises but warmed up food .pie was warmed up in the microwave so soggy pastry ..Shame this place used to be buzzing but items not even priced and when you ask they are expensive .Big menu but 4 items had run out .Shame.

We went for the Sunday carvery & disappointed to find the pub cold & nearly empty. Small selection of vegetables available with carvery & food not great. Cabbage tasted gritty so not sure if washed properly? Pub itself very tired & prices were expensive for what it offers. The vegetarian option was more expensive than the meat carvery so overall very disappointed & won’t be returning.

Clean cafe with lovely breakfast full English and nice staff. Asked for gluten free options and they provided it. Would definitely come again.

I went with my wife and Belgian Malinois dog to this pub that did food, the menu is good and not overly complicated, some good hearty food available that is freshly prepared for you, this means you are waiting a little for your meal but if you want fresh food this is what happens and we did not mind at all. The hosts are very pleasant and attentive, I found the drinks extremely reasonable and the soft drinks as I was driving below what you would normally pay at other venues which I think is great for the designated driver. The food we had was lovely, I had a freshly made steak and ale pie with mash and vegetables and my wife had scampi with chips and a salad accompanied by tartar sauce. They meals are plentiful and filling but if you can manage a starter or pudding these are available too. It is a very dog friendly pub and the lady behind the bar gave our dog a treat after asking if it was ok, I think she made a friend for like lol. If you are at the watermill leisure park it is less than 5 minutes drive and is well worth the visit. There seems to be quizzes on a Thursday and Friday and Bingo on a Sunday, there seems to be a lot of locals that is always a good sign, locals call it the Sali, well worth a visit if in the area.

Not the friendliest welcome from the bloke behind the bar. Objected to the behaviour of one of the other guests in the bar who had a Labrador off lead who became very rude when his dog was worrying my Jack Russell, who was on his lead. I don’t like been sworn at, so the whole experience was terrible. Don’t have their “coke” either it’s just coloured water tasting of cleaning fluid. I’d rather go thirsty than ever visit that pub again.

poor food quality and poor hygiene on the tables and no sanitization between customers not even a table wipe.

We did a charity event at the church and we were well looked after , with food and coffee, and cheery advice The church is a valuable resource that is possibly under used, we enjoyed so much we are doing another 2 day charity event there
