We did a charity event at the church and we were well looked after , with food and coffee, and cheery advice The church is a valuable resource that is possibly under used, we enjoyed so much we are doing another 2 day charity event there

Went for a breakfast on a saturday morning, wow, Home made bread toasted times 2, free range egg, free range organic sausage, 2 rashers of bacon, choice of fresh or tinned tomatoes, a big pot of tea which would have easily given both of us three cups, all for £9.50 for 2. This is a community cafe serving fresh good, friendly welcome, great tasting food. Will be going again for the breakfast. We also purchased two home made fresh cakes to take home, these were brilliant to.

Recently went to the Gamekeeper as a party of 4 to eat. The food was excellent and the service 1st class. We will definitely be returning again very soon.

Was a lovely view over the Trent, busy pub, plenty of seating, child friendly, outdoor seating for the summer, staff were attentive, little care worn, very clean toilets, food on the carvery was plentiful and lots of deals, few delays but staff went above and beyond to make us welcome

Meal terrible. Three of us had lunch. Two people had bacon and brie panini's and the other had a bacon roll. There was more fat than bacon. It wasn't even near crispy but pure white fat on all three meals which we left in a pile on our plates. The bread roll was dry and what little bacon there was, it was pretty tasteless. Explained this to one of the staff members who's answer was "we're having some problems with the pigs and other people have made the same comments recently". Not quite sure what they meant? They said that they would tell the kitchen and someone will come out to us but this didn't happen. Also had three large latte's which were cold. Very disappointed.
