We are staying at the local caravan site and had a lovely walk through the woods for breakfast at the café. Food all freshly cooked and the sausage and bacon first class. Very much enjoyed my coffee. But what makes this place special is the staff. We had a smile and a chat with pretty much everyone. We were made to feel very welcome. What a pleasure this visit was. Popped into the farm shop next to the cafe and bought some bacon and sirloin steak on the recommendation of a customer passing our table. All in all a great start to our day. Would definitely recommend.

It was freezing cold when we got in there, I understand that heating prices have gone up but it was really cold. There also wasn’t much to choose from in the menu and the food didn’t have any condiments and we didn’t get asked if we wanted any. The waitress was also not particularly welcoming which has put us off coming again. Really disappointed as we wanted to support a local business.

Stopped here initially to pick up some snacks from the farm shop and then found the really cosy but airy , friendly cafe inside. The coffee was perfectly served and highlights the great taste of Stokes blend. The burgers were amazing, using the best of local bacon and tasty tender and juicy Lincoln Red beef that we have ever tasted. Good Bread bun balanced out perfectly. The food was served quite promptly, well presented and with care . Really friendly people and a nice interaction with customers. This is more than just a walkers stop on the Viking way, loads of car parking and outdoor seating too, perfectly located just outside Rasen with stunning views across Walesby Moor to Tealby and the beautiful Wolds beyond. We really felt satisfied with our purchases and are looking forward to trying the sausage rolls that we got to takeaway. Thanks for an enjoyable visit, we will definitely be back next time we are back in this part of the world.

We had lunch here and 2 of us chose the burgers. They were not to our taste at all. All I could taste was an overwhelming taste of cloves. Sadly I don't like cloves. My daughter didn't like hers either. My wife had quiche which was fine. Nice place, friendly enough service, good coffee and the cakes looked great. Maybe it's best as a tea shop. The lunch wasn't for us,

Tried somewhere different for a Saturday morning breakfast and was somewhat underwhelmed. The shop and in particular, the butchers is superb. Excellent veg and meats so much better than supermarkets. However the breakfast was very plentiful but disappointing. It arrived within 5 minutes of me ordering it, which immediately raised suspicion . I got the full English which was a large dish. However, the black pudding was hard and dry. The poached eggs were also dry, yolk hard, and passed their best. For size, the sausages were possibly the two biggest I’ve ever seen on a breakfast plate, very meaty, almost certainly home made, but, unfortunately, very dry and tasteless. I never usually leave sausages but this time I left one. The beans, bacon, hash browns, mushrooms and tomatoes and toast were fine. Coffee good. Obviously the black pud, sausages and eggs had been drying out for a while awaiting my arrival! Pleasant little restaurant, recently expanded with more tables, however, for breakfast (not tried anything else), it’s a considerable way away from the excellent quality of Caistor Lakes just a few miles away. As a local to Sunnyside I will continue to use the butchers and will try the restaurant again one day.

Although we go to market rasen on a regular basis we have never been here before but having tried the cafe with its outside area we will certainly go again. We are relatively covid cautious and continue to choose cafés with outside areas like this one. Staff all wearing masks, doors open for ventilation have a good impression. Coffee and scones ordered and brought to our table, lots of space inside and out. Lovely views of the surrounding area. Staff friendly. Altogether a pleasant experience. Farm shop has meats, cheeses, ice cream and other produce however is only small, we did buy lincolnshire poacher cheese which we love but can't get where we live. Give it a go. Support a local business.

I made a special trip to purchase some wine. They were advertised as my nearest stockist. It was 40-45minute round trip on a sunday morning. Thier website listed them as open 10am to 4pm on sundays. I arrived at 1015 and the sign at the entrace states open 9am to 10pm on sundays (March to October). I tried to visit in June. The place was all shut up and no sign of anyone. Briliant way to waste nearly an hour of my sunday morning. I wont be bothering to go back again. Ill order from someone else online. No wonder shops are shutting down.

This is a combo of two visits. I brought my family here in August 2019 for my daughter’s birthday and almost no one in our six person party could find anything that they liked to eat. I put aside my concerns about a month ago to visit again as it was half way between my home and a friend. Service was perfunctory and we watched a number of potential customers turned away as too late to be served an hour earlier than was advertised on the website. Dreadful. And before the owner asks why we didn't complain at the time, it’s hard to complain when the staff are absent and we were left sitting outside with no interaction.

We visit farm shops quite often as we like super fresh fruit, veg and cheeses. Took an hour out of our day to visit this one. Small hut next to the main entrance declares ‘fruit and veg’ and all there was were bunches of shrivelled, bendy carrots, some onions, potatoes and a tiny amount of salad produce in a small fridge. So disappointing. So we grab some potatoes so we’ve not had a totally wasted journey and head inside to be greeted by a strong meat smell from the small uninviting meat counter (we asked for a specific item and were told by the chap that he wasn’t sure if they had it and he would have a look when he’d finished serving another customer. Then walked away. Poor cheese selection so we gave up and went to pay. Would definitely not recommend if you are going for anything more than the cafe side which I can’t comment on. But awful selection of fresh produce so not sure how it managed to get any kind of award. Worst one we have visited without exception.

On a very wet Saturday walking round Willingham Woods Sunnyside Café and Farm Shop is the perfect stop for refreshments. I so appreciated the genuine welcome, the good coffee and carrot cake, even the glass of water (hadn't brought any on my walk). I recently visited the cafe to buy some of their great meats for a bbq and decided to have some lunch. I ordered a sausage sandwich because I really like their sausages and when it came there was only ONE sausage,.... really! and for £4 one sausage,... very, very disappointed and I didn’t really feel that I had just eaten a sausage sandwich so I had to order plum bread and cheese to follow! Maybe that’s their reasoning behind the lack of sausage in their sausage sandwiches???

I asked for a red onion and cheese quiche salad and got a egg and mushroom, a portion of iceberg lettuce and a pile of cucumber .....small pot if coleslaw, all other orders were fine and very well presented on our leaving the person taking the payment apologized to my brother in law as she did not realise the breakfast was a for a child. i would have done a half breakfast. we still paid full price though.....my advice if you have children with you keep driving....we will.

Mmmmm we were pleasantly suprised and had a fairly good meal, pie and peas. But, there was far too much salt in the pie that it burnt your mouth! So far too much and so unnecessary and spoilt the pie. If there was moderate amount of salt, then it would of got a 100% for taste and texture and of course, flavour! Drinks were good and was fairly reasonable priced.

We visited Sunnyside up last week, from Grimsby, because the butchers there had been recommended to us. We browsed in the shop had a coffee and sandwich which was okay but nothing special, and then went to buy steak. The butcher's shop seemed very popular and we asked for a piece of rump steak with not much fat. There was none on the counter so the butcher went into the back and cut a piece. He showed us it and although it seemed to have some fat, my husband said he would have it- but he should have asked to see the other side ( which the butcher did not display ). The steak cost nearly £9. When he got it home we took it out of the bag and turned it over to see that about two thirds of it was fat. Had we lived closer, it would have gone back to the shop. We cut off as much as possible which left us with about half as much in weight. Once cooked, it turned out to be grisly and much the worse steak we have had in a long time. We will certainly not be recommending this butcher to our friends and won't bother going back ourselves despite the sausage rolls and pork pie which we bought from the chiller and which turned out to be really good.

Visited Sunnyside, as I’ve not been for a short while and really fancied a nice breakfast. My gosh- how things have changed. Arrived and there was very few customers, in fact I think we might have been the only two. Sat down to order some breakfast- they don’t do this any more and the food selection was very limited at best. Decided to have a coffee instead. It was ok. Nothing special but the place just seemed to lack atmosphere. Came to pay and they didn’t expect card payments for under £5 (which wasn’t clearly labelled other than at the till). I had no cash?! After what felt a little like a stand off- ended up buying stuff to take my bill over a fiver. It’s such a shame as this placed used to be lovely.

The cafe is small and did look cosy, with tables and a couple of leather sofas. Ordered coffee, milkshake and cake, waitress was pleasant enough, it all came fairly quick. The coffee was tasteless, not a rich taste, the milkshake was not nice at all, the scones were not fluffy and the cream was runny and just dribbled onto them. The good thing was i managed to get a nice Christmas present so all was not lost, but i doubt i would return here, which didn't look like it would be a great loss, seems like the place has it's regulars and if you are anything else it's not as important to them

Sunnyside is ideally situated for a trip out into the countryside, on the road between Tealby (one of the nicest villages in the area) & Market Rasen. The farm shop has a good selection of chutneys, jams etc along with its fresh produce.I didn't use the restaurant but I did purchase a very nice pork pie, better in my opinion than the ones in Lakings of Louth & Pettits of Grimsby. The main purpose of my visit was to explore the track that started at the farm shop & into a wood, a lot of the land in that area is owned by the forestry commission. Not wanting to get lost I ignored the many tracks leading into the woods & kept going in a straight line, I went past a caravan site, over a railway bridge, then followed the railway line until I arrived at a small level crossing, then returned the same way.I was a bit disappointed with the lack of wildlife, there was extensive birdsong but no sightings of rabbits or dear & just one squirrel.

I visited here with a friend after attending an event in Market Rasen and we wanted somewhere quiet and welcoming to have lunch. Situated just outside the village of Tealby Sunnyside Up is nestled in the Lincolnshire wolds with inviting views all around. As well as the cafe/restaurant there is a well stocked farm shop. A little pricey, but no more than one would expect from such places. Word of note you can buy the most amazing and giant sized scotch eggs from the butchery counter. The restaurant itself is spacious, light and airy. The paintings adorning the walls are the work of the local painting group and are available for purchase. The menu is traditional with a choice of breakfast type items, salads, handmade burgers (made with beef from their own herd), hot meals and sandwiches. There is also an afternoon tea option which my friend chose. I opted for the Lincolnshire Ploughman's which was very generous and tasty. Well worth the £7.95 price. The staff are friendly and helpful, but not overbearing or intrusive. I would definitely recommend a visit here for anyone from solo travellers to groups of friends to families.

It's hard to give a place like this a poor rating, because it really is a lovely spot with lots of great local produce. But the Full English was such a disappointment! One of those meals where the sum is considerably less than its parts. Two dry sausages, dry black pudding, one egg, very dry toast. Everything on the plate was black. It desperately needed something (anything!) to pull it all together. I guess there's a reason a full English usually comes with beans - that's right, no beans! I had to gulp on my tea to wash it all down and, to add insult to injury, tea was not included in the hefty £8.80 price tag. Stick to the bacon bap.

I like the farm shop and the pork pies are lovely. I would neither go back for lunch, nor recommend it,hope it was just a bad day and not the usual standard.

Just outside Market Rasen on Tealby Road. We stopped for tea and cake; late in the afternoon on a Sunday (they close at 4 pm and are closed on Mondays) and the cake selection was a little limited but we very much enjoyed what we had. For those nice days, there are tables outside. We also did some shopping. Some lovely cheeses (Poacher was deliciously flavoured, mature and strong). Great piece of outdoor reared pork shoulder to roast for dinner and some nice bacon. Not cheap but then this is not a supermarket and you pay for quality.

A superb little find that has undergone a lot of change in the time I have been going; this tea room and farm shop lie tucked away in the Lincolnshire country side, not far from Market Rasen. Also recently featured on Countryfile (for the farm shop butchery) this small tea rooms have a small but excellent menu of hot & cold meals, and their home made deserts are a must. The small shop attached sells a good range of locally sourced items including wines & spirits as well as artisan jams, chutneys, pastas, and other treats.

I visited 'Sunnyside up' yesterday with my mum and 18 month old niece. I had been out with my partner on motorbike a few weeks ago, when we passed this place, and noticed signs outside for a childrens play area, but we didn't take note of the name of the place, and without the name, couldn't find anything about it on the internet, so yesterday when I visited with my mum and niece, I hadn't really known what to expect.'Sunnyside up' is quite a small place. It has a small farm shop selling meat, veg, jars of jams etc and some small gifts, all of which, as with most farm shops, was expensive. It also has a coffee lounge, a cafe with inside and outside seating, and a small childrens outdoor playarea. The playarea doesn't have swings or slides, but it has a couple of playhouses and ride on toys, and my niece seemed to enjoy having different things to play with to what normal play areas offer. The playarea is artificially grassed, so there are no worries about the kids failling and grazing their knees! I would however like to see management get the gate fixed, as it leads from the childrens playarea to the car park, and every time there is a bit of wind, the gate opens, so at busy times, it would be easy for a child to get into the main carpark which was a bit of a concern for us, as there was a few children playing in the playarea, and not all of them were being supervised! Considering the location of 'Sunnyside up' (as it is a bit in the middle of nowhere) I was surprised by how busy the cafe was, and the car park was full and there was some cyclists called in for lunch. (This is an ideal stop for cyclists due to its rural location.) I hope this is a sign the food they serve is good. We'd already eaten before we visited so we didn't actually have a meal, so I cannot comment on the price or the quality of the food. However, we did have an ice cream each, which to be honest, I must say was disappointing as I'd expected it might of been from a local ice cream supplier, but it just tasted like supermarket ice cream.Overall, I have rated 'Sunnyside up' as average, simply because it's quite small, their isn't a huge amount here to do, and I found it quite pricey. It is 'good' but I don't think it is quite 'very good', so couldn't justify giving a four star rating. I would return here if I happened to be passing, but as I live 25 miles away, there isn't enough here to make it worth me making a purpose journey here.

We have visited this farmshop cafe on many occasions, but unfortunately on the last were given a pot of lukewarm tea with our afternoon scone & cakes! The waitress did agree to obtain a fresh brew for us, however, which was fine. Sometimes the service is excellent and friendly. Be warned if you are vegan or vegetarian, however, the menu is very 'meaty' as is the ambience!

We stopped off for breakfast before the first Grimsby - Market Rasen cricket match of the season and the food was great. I ordered smoked salmon on a toasted muffin with poached eggs and my boyfriend had the full English (I even got to eat his black pudding). The portion sizes were very good, however the prices are a little more expensive than usual. However the price reflects the exception quality of the produce so it is warranted. My only comment would be about the staff. The lady clearly couldn't cope and looked to be flapping a lot. She kept saying very loudly that she doesn't normal work Saturday and Sunday and was covering for someone. You can see why. Taking our order was a bit of a chore for her, as was getting our drinks. Shame as we would return for the great breakfast but we didn't feel entirely welcome to be honest.

What a lovely place to stop for lunch or a drink. Highly recommended. The food was lovely, as were the staff and the premises. I had the hot beef sandwich and it was delicious. Will definitely be back!

I often cycle or walk to Sunnyside. It's a great friendly place to get refuelled. I can't recommend their hot beef roll enough. It definitely melts in your mouth. Good value for money and high quality produce.

Found this by accident on way out of Market Rasen. We didn't have a meal there but did stop for a latte and cake which really was lovely. The staff were friendly and I was very pleased to find that it is dog friendly (unlike most of Lincolnshire). There is a lovely farm shop here too and a nice butchers. We will certainly be going back when next in the area.

No sé donde TripAdvisor nos dieron la foto. escribo para informar a todo el mundo que el pub ya han desaparecido, unfornately Dennis el encargado, ha tirado la toalla. una pena que sus domingos almuerzos eran deliciosos.
