Another great night out, with great company and stunning food, we Started off with a welcome glass of fizz, well the others did, I, as usual was on my water... boo hiss.. LOL.. and then the food, the major highlight of the night (as well as spending quality time with friends, I better put that in case they read this and get into trouble) The Venison Amuse Bouche was just beautiful, I am not a great Venison fan, but this was done to perfection, a short break in proceedings and then the starters, Hot smoked salmon, truffle mayonnaise and buttermilk blini, caviar (mmm yes please) and Yuzu pearls, placed under a glass dome with "fog" that lifted into the air as the dome was pulled upwards, OOooo, that sounds posh, and it was, stunning started, I could have had three of those, but I am not greedy. The main course was Lamb, now, as most will say, I hate lamb, I have not eaten lamb in over over 40 years, but that last night was just it was tender, pink, cut with easy, the Gelston Lamb was beautiful, with garlic and rosemary sweet potato puree, hen-of-the woods mushrooms, Romanesco cauliflower and Hasselback potatoes, I was not 100% sure, but that first mouthful, was stunning, I trust the guys to serve up a brilliant meal, and I am not likely to have Lamb again, but here I would, no question. And a good plateful as well, all well set out, so it was something to not only savour the tastebuds but the eyes as well. But the stomach enjoyed it more, LOL. Desert was a Passion Fruit lovers heaven, thee Passionfruit Panna Cotta was so light, and with so much flavour, this was served with a Passionfruit macaron, Passionfruit bubbled, stem ginger, Honeycomb crunch, Passionfruit coulis and and a ginger tuile. Coffee and chocolates finished the evening off perfectly, as always the guys invite us to their home, and treat us as friends rather than paid customers, and that makes the difference, the little details, like an individual menu placed on your napkin, a full introduction to each course, so you know what you are eating and what goes into the food. Brilliant.... will be back for visit number four......

Such a fantastic and worthy project to save food otherwise destined for the bins. A huge variety of tasty meals, vegetables and fruit served by very friendly volunteers. Highly recommended.

This deli shop sells local farm produce and snacks to take away. Got our lunch and meal deal here with the hot item being a cheese and onion pasty. It was delicious and how a pasty should be. The filling is a lovely mix of mashed potato, onions and cheese. Even from the first bite, you can tell quality ingredients when into the pasty. The pastry was crisp and dry, the cheese and onion made their presence felt. The pasty has been properly filled out with mashed potato and doesn’t feel oily like cheaper pasties. A great lunch stop if you’re in Bourne.

We visit Belton every year, and last year, discovered this wonderful place! Tucked away in the hamlet of Welby - off the beaten track [use a Sat Nav!] is the fabulous Crown and Anchor. This is a proper country pub with the addition of it's own Smokehouse - and what and amazing addition! We visited twice this week, it was so good... The menu is extensive and varied, with a combination of tradition British pub food and their smokehouse specialities. All extremely well served, presented and tasty, not to mention the generous portions. You do not want to miss the rack of ribs [full or half - although the half is what most places call a full rack ] - be prepared to be full! And the amazing Smoking Board, consisting of Ribs, Pulled Pork and Korean Chicken - all from the smokehouse, accompanied by their hand cut chips - hot and crispy and soft inside, coleslaw, extra BBQ sauce and dressed salad. Finger bowls and extra napkins are provided and needed! Also available are a fabulous range of very different burgers - including the triple - beef, pork and chicken - oh my! Starters are available in abundance, as are desserts - but we have never had room for either - but they look fab Beers and wine selections are plentiful and varied as well as reasonably priced. Service was attentive and excellent - couldn't fault it. As I said - you do not want to miss this place - just north of Grantham. Enjoy!!

I regularly go to The Little Teapot - it's a lovely little teashop, with homemade scones, cakes, and brownies, as well as a selection of savoury food. They also do a delightful afternoon tea, and have started doing freshly made soup. There's many types of tea available, and the coffee is really nice as well. At my most recent visit, I tried their new Hot Chocolate Bomb - the hot chocolate powder is chilled in a ball with mini marshmallows and covered in chocolate. When you pour the steamed milk on it, the ball opens and the contents start mixing - kids will love it.

Called in for a sandwich and they were just closing up, said no problem and they allowed Millie our little Westie in too. Brought her some water and chicken which was very kind and served us our baguettes and drinks, which were delicious. No rush to close up, really good service, thank you.

We only live 15 minutes away but took us a while to finally dine in this lovely place. Food was absolutely stunning, full of flavours, beautifully cooked. I had tuna, my husband beef carpacio to start with, fantastic! Only slices could be bit thiner to my liking, but still amazing. To follow we choose venison for myself and ox cheek for my husband and again, what a feast! Tender meats, genius composition on the plate. We are not dessert people so we finish on mains. Cocktails and wnies lovely too. Only one thing I couldn't get over with was carrying glasses with wine to the table without tray and hold by glass. But overall we enjoyed our evening and will be definitely back for those fantastic flavours. Great value for money. Thank you

RUDE! I was quite taken aback by just how rude the lady was who served me and my daughter lunch. Every request was answered with a terse ‘no!’ She had quite a bad attitude and it turned our meal quite sour. It’s a shame as all the reviews I had read spoke so highly of the place. We won’t be back.
