A fantastic little place, so cosy, beautiful decor. The staff were so friendly. I tried to order the pancakes, they said 'I'm afraid they're on the breakfast menu, that stops at 1200', when I asked could they please be done for me, they were, no problem. REALLY appreciated it. Well done & thank you.

I hired the function room for my wife’s funeral reception, everything was laid out perfectly, much than enough food and hot drinks for those that wanted refreshments. Thank you Ellen for organising this on what was a very emotional day for my self and my family and friends.

Very friendly staff, lovely feel to the cafe, only had cake and coffee but both were very good. Dog friendly and lovely grounds to give the pooch a run in.

We were here a year ago, and had a lovely evening, with great food, good service and lovely cocktails. We discovered before our trip this year that Amalfi had stopped doing food (apart from some bar snacks). This was a disappointment, but I had heard that their cocktails were still good. So, on the Friday of our trip (11th April), we booked somewhere else for dinner and headed to Amalfi for pre-dinner cocktails. There were a few people at the bar, but not all that many, but there were only two people behind the bar, and absolutely nothing was moving. After waiting to even be acknowledged for about 10 minutes, we gave up and left. We didn't see any cocktails being prepared. We tried again on the Saturday. There appeared to be a wedding party, but there were no restrictions to us going in so we thought we'd go up to the bar. Beyond the bar, i.e. after we'd actually got to it, there was a notice saying the bar area was restricted to the wedding party. As far as we could make out, they were all outside smoking. Again, no-one from the bar staff even acknowledged us. Such a different experience from the previous year.

First time venturing into The Green Man, drove passed a few times back and forth to the marina. Outside seating front and back, two cosy rooms/areas inside. Staff were friendly and efficient, food hot delicious and quick, lager and cider reasonable prices. Not sure what's not to like, cracking lil pub.

One to avoid! We ordered a sizzling platter, definitely nothing sizzling about it, food soggy and soaking in a pool of juice and the platter was luke warm at best, although my daughter did enjoy her fish and chips. Waited at the bar for over 20 minutes while the staff served ‘regulars’ irrespective of when they arrived at the bar, then served a glass of wine in a 1/2 pint glass. At no point in our 2 hours of being here did we see a member of management grace the bar/lounge area. I usually love this brand but I found this venue seriously lacking.

This is a great pub, friendly staff and good atmosphere, had food on the launch day and it was really nice. Thank you guys will be coming again with the family.

Fantastic food & service for my birthday Sunday lunch. All the courses were delicious and the drinks menu was excellent too.

My daughter and I do a regular meet up but breakfast and the full English here is as good as anything we’ve had yet. Very fast service, well cooked quality ingredients and a very gud price. Recommended.

Lovely outdoor beer garden, clean and well maintained. Food mediocre, not high standard. Perfect for drinks but wouldn't travel to eat there. Village and setting are delightful.

This chippy has gone down hill. Over the last 12 months we've had to take back 4 fish been off, the smell was terrible however they did replace them with no quibble. The young man frying in 2024 was much better than the present fryer whom hasn't got a clue how to fry. Tonight 17 01 2025 the chips were anemic raw full of fat, the fish was OK but the batter was soft and full of fat. Question. Do you ever sanitize the chip bins ? Is the fish kept refrigerated? I'm done with the big fish.

I went recently for a roast dinner and the food was amazing, great selection and amazing quality. Drinks were served quickly and with a smile from the bartender sophie who made our experience great. Would definitely come back!
