I have not eaten here for a few years so we decided to visited after work for a drink and bite to eat. We didn’t expect it to be quite as busy as it was. Bar staff very friends and we were not kept waiting for our drinks. No delay for food, it was excellent, we all chose Lasagne and Broccoli & cheese bake and these were served piping hot. Thank you so much, we will be back 😃

The worst Sunday lunch ever!! Tasteless… , roast potatoes so crispy you couldn’t get a fork in them and when you tried to eat them it’s was like crunching on crackling. Gravy granules still in granule form, again tasteless and whishy washy. Beef was grey and lacking any flavour…. Even the children’s nuggets and chips were poor!! A serious waste of money we won’t be returning

This was my cousin’s favourite local pub where I learnt he enjoyed very much in particular their curry. My first visit with his family and friends there set in beautiful countryside and inside cosy pub surroundings we were served quality food by great staff. The young lad serving dinner (I had home-made chicken pie) and later coffees and teas was clearly dedicated to making our visit perfect. I had a couple of their real ales and they certainly serve a good well kept pint . Thank you. I second my cousin’s choice and hope to be back one day.

Visited as a family of 7 for a pre Christmas get together. Booked 7 weeks in advance for 18.00hrs on a Sunday and was asked to choose between Carvery and festive menu. We all chose carvery. Upon arrival we sat down and waited a good 15 minutes for our drinks order to be taken. In this time we noticed the carvery being packed up. We enquired and were told they had stopped serving!!! Despite our booking. What I assumed was the manager was very apologetic but nothing more. Also there were no pizzas and another item off the menu was sold out. We were brought our drinks and eventually our food order was taken. Food was slow to arrive despite it not being busy and the food was not homemade. The braised beef was not braised beef at all, it did not fall apart and looked and tasted like leftovers from the carvery!!! The food was average at best. When our drinks glasses were empty it took an age to ask if we wanted a refill. After we finished our mains almost 90 minutes after walking in, we advised staff that we would like dessert but only had half an hour before two of our party had to leave. By this time we were the only ones left in the restaurant. Our desserts took a further 20 minutes to arrive. The staff were alright but service was painfully slow. Despite the problems we were not offered any complimentary drinks or anything to smooth over the terrible start. Having worked in customer service for many years this was not a good experience and none of our party would return, and we would strongly advise against anyone else visiting this place.
