Went in a couple of nights over the weekend, food was nice but had a bit of a wait. The so called manager, what an idiot, i have never seen anyone so rude and arrogant working in the hospitalty industry. He has absolutely no idea what he is doing, if you try to talk to him to explain something is missing from your food he says "its not my problem". We asked if the table was still reserved and were told "you've got eyes the dame as me, look dor yourselves". He has no manners at all, he spoke to some of the staff like they were trash and all he kept saying was "i'm Luke, i'm the manager", and that was pretty much his attitude. On the other hand there was a lovely lady calked Tilly who couldnt do enough for you. Made sure you had everything you needed, dealt with a lady with allergies impeccably making sure they could cater for her. I watched her go around the whole room chatting to people and making sure they were ok and made them feel welcome. This is how hospitality works, unlike "Luke the manager". The other members of staff that caught my attention was Zoe and Georgina, they are both lovely and if it wasnt for Tilly, Zoe and Georgina i would definately have left a bad review. If the owners have any idea what they are doing they would surely get rid of the alleged manager Luke and keep the other 3 staff as they would attract custom and not lose them as Luke will surely do that. I will go back again once back this way and hopefully it will have improved.

Visited several times over the last couple of weeks. Very friendly team, and a lovely clean bar/restaurant with views over the various fishing lakes. Very dog friendly outdoors. All meals have been excellent and are homemade. Superb breakfast, and very good sandwiches and a decent choice at dinner. Will be back soon

Visited Plaice in the Park Chapel St Leonard's Skegness a couple weeks ago on friday got to say best fish & chips we've had in years!!. We ordered mini fish & chips with curry sauce and sat eating them outside the shop on seating provided absolutely fabulous !!. Best thing ever all cooked fresh with quality ingredients, good sized portion & crispy batter and a good food hygiene rating. I was so impressed I with that meal, I also took a home made chilly home for my tea and it was just as lovely. Definitely worth visiting, reasonably priced and owners very obliging & helpful too. They also cater for special diets apparently so useful for those gluten free or vegan. Definitely going back big thumbs up from us.

Whilst the food was delicious the views stunning, our first experience of this venue left a bad taste in my mouth. We arrived expecting it to be busy as its the Easter holidays and a beautiful, sunny day. However, we expected there to be some form of queueing system for tables. We joined the queue, a table became available, so I pointed it out to the group in front of us as they had arrived first. When I reached the front of the queue, I was told thay if there were no tables available, we could have takeaway boxes or sit outside. It's 9°C (6°C if you account for the wind) and my husband is wheelchair bound and suffers from Raynaud's syndrome. I said we would wait for a table. Sometime later, another table became available so I walked over, I asked if they were leaving, the gentleman relied that he was giving it to another couple who had jist arrived but whom they clearly new. After waiting for several more minutes, another group got up. I asked if they were leaving them said they wasn't sure who was next. I explained that we had been here for the best part of an hour. Seeing mine and my husband 's frustration, they eventually awarded us the table. The whole experience was marred for us and the other customers feeling pressured over the battle for tables. A queueing system is is desperately needed.

Sunday evening, only had half the food on menu. Given burnt pizza was told hope you like it well done. Puppercorn sauce looked like chicken soup which was not eaten.

Avoid this place at all costs was due to go and watch a jersey boys tribute act that my mate came from Chesterfield especially to watch only to be told when we got to the door we weren't allowed in as they changed the rules for entering at the last minute even though they had advertised on their website we could pay on the door . This spoilt our night and the manager wouldn't even come to explain why . Total disgrace

We visited here a couple of times during our 4 day stay at Golden Palm resort while on a rugby tour. The food was great and piping hot but it did take 45 minutes to come on the Friday evening but the pub was very busy with lots of families just arriving. We returned multiple times over the weekend and the staff were always friendly and the place was always clean. The carvery served on the Sunday was lovely with plenty of choice of meats/ pie and lots of different vegetable choices. We would definitely return if we stay here again. The pub is centrally located right in the middle of the resort on the main road so its great to pop in before heading over to Club Tropicana for the evening entertainment.
