Trafalgar Inn in East Lindsey

After struggling to find somewhere to eat at short notice, myself, with a friend & her boys were pointed here by local eateries - & it didn't disappoint.. We were served Excellent food and from lovely bubbly service personnel too... I will definitely visit again... Excellent value for money...

Had a carvery , excellent food and at a good price , Staff are friendly and didn’t have to wait long for drinks or food.would highly recommend.

Wonderful food, equally wonderful and accommodating staff who squeezed us in on our second visit of our week. The food was excellent and homemade. Like I say we visited on a Sunday evening and enjoyed so much we visited again midweek.

The food was amazing. There were 6 of us dining, and we all enjoyed our food.

Old fashioned type pub/restaurant. Staff friendly and service good. Had the steak Thursday offer. Meat could have been better.. Not seasoned well. Chips good. Large portion. Wine was OK too. Nothing posh just basic pub grub which is fine for a seaside place. Only thing put us off was the fly catcher strips hanging right by our table! There was a few around the place, which suggested they had a fly problem. Not sure this is allowed under health rules?? Wont be going back for that reason.

very expensive. on the way to the toilet I glanced into the kitchen , not very clean & a lot of grease all over the place. noticed a huge basket of pre cooked chips who knows how long that had been there. think it may be run by the Adams family. not a very pleasant experience. give this place a miss.

Been coming here for years, still good food for a good price.

Wow went in for dinner and ordered a starter of egg mayonaise that quite promptly arrived to be followed by an ham salad as soon as i had finished my egg my salad landed on my table it was huge 4 thick slices of ham and plenty variety of salad both courses lovely

Lovely homemade food. The Veggie lasagne verdi and homemade chips were outstanding. jacket potato was huge our little one had fun getting toys from the machines. Great prices too.

Found this pub by accident, but it is lovely place for meals. They do home made food as well as lots of other choices. The pub looks like a traditional place from the outside, but is very large once you get inside. A small note of caution, is to register your car on their system as soon as you arrive,if parking in the carpark of the pub.

Huge portions at very reasonable prices and very tasty.. gets really busy but worth the wait.. staff are very good too

previously been and had ribs so been again today expecting the same quality of food as I previously had however very disappointed I chose steak and ribs and the ribs wernt cooked as well as they should have been usually they fall off the bone but today they were underdone very chewy and bit like a pork chop .I told the waitress who agreed that they should fall off the bone but that was it no one said anything else about it very un professional way to run a buisness sad really

Revisited the Trafalgar having had good experiences previously. We were not disappointed the home-made lasagna and home-made shepherds pie were both delicious. We followed with excellent puddings. My wife had a jam sponge and I tried the home-made Maltesers cheesecake. We will be back at this excellent eatery.

Good parking. Excellent food especially the home made selection. We chose lasagna and shepherds pie. Both were delicious. Pudding was equally good.

I had the gammon wow how nice was it plate was full and very good price too . Always eat here with the wife . Food is always excellent and the owners and staff can’t do enough for you . See you again soon

Wow! Visited for a carvery with family as we were staying nearby for a break away. My oh my what a belly buster it was. A choice of 4 meats and I was tempted by 3. Omg the plate for 3 meats was huuuuge! Was not expecting that at all. Thickly sliced meat, fresh tasting vegetables and other sides all piled onto a plate. Absolutely gorgeous. There wasn't one thing I didn't enjoy apart from the size of it defeating me. I think next time I would ask for 3 meats but ask for the normal oval sized plate. The staff were so lovely, offering the take my little ones plate so I didn't have to carry two and then another staff taking mine when he decided to have a toddler tantrum on the floor. Cannot fault anything about this place from this visit. Car park is a little tricky for larger cars but there are other streets to park on nearby. I challenge anyone to go and finish the 3 meat square plate from the carvery 🤣

I came here for the 1st time on Monday 1st of July for my mums 60th birthday! Even though I have lived in the area 22 years I've never thought about this cosy pub at the back end of chapel st leonards... The staff and service is 100% excellent from start to finish...the home cooked food was well worth the price..large potions and delicious ..even though they was a big group of us every meal came with no complaints and was all red hot..this is definitely a pub for good food I would recommend 👌 p.s good luck to our waitress who was pregnant..she was lovely and professional and a asset to your team.

Lovely food at the right price. Helpful and friendly staff. 3stars for atmosphere, only because we were seated in the room with the snooker table: we were very close to some cue ends and the room was a bit of a thoroughfare. Had we been seated anywhere else, atmosphere would have been a 5

Had the Sunday carvery. Meat was really good and decent sized slices (unlike the chain carvery’s). £13 for an adult large carvery on a Sunday was a refreshing change and really decent price. Would 100% visit again. They coped well with our table of 11!

My husband and myself just had the Cod chips with mushy peas. Absolutely beautiful. Very large fish. Annoying I forgot to take a picture before we ate it.🙄. We will definitely have this again. But we have had plenty of meals here, and never had a bad meal. We highly recommend the Trafalgar inn restaurant for meals. 10/10 in my opinion all the time. Great friendly staff , lovely atmosphere..

This was possibly the worst meal we have ever had, soggy chips, shephards pie was tasteless so left half of it. Atmosphere was so bad my wife had to leave to get some fresh air. We will not be returning again.

Beautiful food, super friendly staff. We have had lots of Sunday dinners here and they are absolutely unreal. Burger night on Saturdays is also amazing

Just been to this pub for food and drinks and though we rang and asked if we could bring our dogs they left their German shepherd out in a compound where he did nothing but bark at us. We were told we had to stay outside so we couldn’t avoid this situation so we explained we would have to leave due to this but was concerned about being fined for parking and the owner of the dog (staff) didn’t care and allowed us to leave without suggesting he would put the dog into the building while we ate a meal. We didn’t feel welcome at all and the owner of the dog was fully aware of the situation because he came out and told the dog to be quiet. This of course didn’t work and so we were left with no option but to leave ourselves:

Lovely to see everyone again :) New season , Vegan Burger was great, I really enjoyed my Jacket Spud too. Such a lovely place with so many friendly people , Gary always welcoming, helpful & would do anything to help anyone, in fact all the staff here are amazing. Remember if you drive & use the car park to put your reg into the monitor as it’s not the pub who monitors the car park . Signs are all around inside & out, don’t be caught out. Always have ago on the meat raffle because if you win you will not be disappointed. All the meat is top notch & we have never been disappointed . If you’ve never been in, go in and see for yourself, & the Guinness is lovely:)

The lady who served made us feel very welcome, friendly and helpful. She pointed out that drinks came with the kids menu saving us ordering our boys drinks twice. The food came promptly and was delicious. The chips were really tasty. Would definitely recommend and return here again.

Absolutely brilliant place to eat and socialise with friends and family. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and always up for a laugh 😃 If you were to visit and you are in your car don't forget to register your reg plate on the screen to your right as you go into the pub it will take u less than a minute to do. There are signs all over telling you about this.. so please make sure you do so as you wouldn't want a parking fine would you 😏

Great Sunday carvery! What a plate of food! Everything on the plate was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. There were seven of us and everyone agreed that it was excellent all round. Would definitely recommend,(I would pre-book, if I were you - there was literally a queue outside when we left and a group taking tin-foil covered dinners back to their caravans). Superb value for money.

Just had Sunday roast. I got rag ends of some gammon, cauliflower cheese not cooked. A diabolical yorkshire pudding...what a waste of money

Called in for Sunday roast, great value for money, loads of fresh veg and I had the 3 meats plate. Food was spot on and staff were friendly. I would happily eat there again, it makes a mockery of pretentious pubs that charge £18 for a Sunday roast and you get a carrot and a bit of broccoli.

Went here for Sunday carvery with my family 7 of us we were in skeggy for my sister's 70th party Saturday night .So we decided to meet up for lunch on Sunday.Absolutely Fantastic the food was delicious fresh well cooked very good sized portions the staff very attentive and courteous.Will be back on our next skeggy visit.Great price for great food.

Just moved into the area been in the Trafalga several times quite enjoyed it. Handy for where I live and thought it would be a nice local. I enjoyed 2-3 days watching the Cheltenham horse racing festival. After about my 3rd or 4th visit the landlord served me and said “are you on the car park if so you must enter your car registration on the screen near the door, this I did I said I had been there several times previously and hadn’t realised it was something I had to do . He said the company that had the cameras only dealt with one member of staff and maybe able to have a word with the company and try and get the violations (in their eyes squashed) however he didn’t sound confident. Yes there are ample signs up stating the parking requirements something I didn’t notice because as I was going to the premises it would have been no hardship to enter the car info. Most of the people who use the pub are locals so I would have thought that if the staff saw anyone new they would have just mentioned the parking situation , nobody did!! . I found the landlord pretty abrupt and not over friendly and seemed to think he was a big fish but in a lot bigger pond than he’s in . Still onwards & upwards you come across all sorts. Cest la vie. .

We had Sunday dinner, had to wait to be called up for the carvery, seemed a good idea to avoid waiting, had a choice wether to select 1,2 or 3 meats depending on how much you pay. Food nice however couple of issues, far too much vegetable portions put onto plate, making it unpalatable, would much rather help myself to smaller portions. Place could do with clean & carpets looked dirty & ladies toilet door broken.

The atmosphere was good. The staff were very friendly and the food was gorgeous. Definitely will be going back again. My grandson came from Leicester to take us out for Mother's day and it was well worth it.

My auntie took me and my son here for a quick bite before we had to drive back home for 90 miles. Food was lovely the chips fantastic home made. Very nice.

Would not go again chips soaked in grease ham too tough to cut left the entire meal. This is not first time I have been disappointed with the food here. As a public house fine but as a restaurant a no from us

We have been to The Traf regularly since retiring here a couple of years ago . You cannot fault the stuff but the food is sometimes good as opposed to very good ..... never enough to complain about but you wouldn't rave about it .... we booked the Valentine's special meal in the hope it would be on the better side of good. Wow .................. they absolutely excelled themselves ........ we both had the steak and chips for the main course and the quality of the meat and of the cooking was streets ahead of their normal offering, I can honestly say that this was the best meal we have had in any restaurant in a very long time. Starters and desserts were also very good, service (as always, in our experience) was friendly and attentive and the table had been prepared with a Valentine's day theme, this all added up to a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.

Local pub with a good menu. Pub Quiz,Bingo, Meat raffle and Open the Box for entertainment on Friday and Saturday. Only two disadvantages..ladies toilets (and I've been told the mens) are disgusting and need to be replaced The carpet needs to be cleaned or replaced as very sticky to walk .

Stopped for dinner here after seeing on park4night the owner is open to campers using his car park overnight. Although we turned up a bit early because of the weather, they were lovely and accepted :) We had the steak and scampi which were both delicious and the steak cooked perfectly, the scampi was a huge portion and very tasty as well. Then we risked dessert, even though pretty full already!, and had a tasty cheesecake and fudge cake. Really lovely place, the staff were all lovely and attentive and a really friendly vibe. Will deffo eat here again if visit the east coast again! Thank you trafalgar inn!

Lovely food, good portions too and at a reasonable price. Lovely firendly chatty staff. Don't be an idiot and remember to register your car for the car park. There's enough signs and reminders. Becuase they have it managed, yoiu can always park easy enough. Highly recommend.

Food nice but some was nearly cold

Called in for a meal today to be informed they only had carvery which is wrong as I want a fresh meal not a meal helf under a light for 3 hours. Can't your cooks cook fresh food so they have to use a heated light. The lady came to take our order very nice and polite and said someone will be with us soon for when we are allowed to go for carvery, the same food that's been stood for hours. We eventually decided to leave and pay for the drinks we had where the bar man called us an I won't say the word but its an obscenity. it stated miserable b.......... I think it's absolutely disgusting that your bar manager has the audacity to call us for leaving early when he cannot employ who cannot cook fresh food and as for the name calling that's grossly unprofessional

Visited for the first time with my mum and partner on a Saturday afternoon. Loved the Halloween atmosphere and the staff dressed up were amazing. Homemade shepherds pie, homemade chips and proper mushy peas, half a chicken with jacket potato and salad, chicken korma with pilau rice and naan bread. Absolutely delicious, and my mum is really fussy, she loved it all. The staff were so lovely, friendly and really happy to help. The puddings were delicious, definitely worth having. We will definitely be back as there is so much more on the menu we want to try.

Ordered a mix grill didn’t get the egg and the meat was cold, friends had fish was yellow in colour and they were both up all night other friend had lamb chops they were cremated, they were made aware at the time but got no follow up.

We ate here at lunchtime and sat outside in the sunshine- lots of good seating next to a quiet road- you need to enter your reg inside the pub - the menu is quite varied with lots of homemade dishes We had the lamb shank ( not the biggest shank ) and steak pie accompanied by a huge gravy boat The waitress was very friendly The only negative is the pub dog barks non stop if another dog passes

Shame, we've been coming here since the last 25 years owning a caravan and the premises have certainly gone down hill to what it used to be like. Food was cold ("and told them that), chips were like pork scratchings and hard. Such a sad visit. Never again

After family day out, at the beach, we happened upon the pub, we were all hungry, so we asked for a table to seat 9 of us, which wasn't easy as the pub was very busy. The staff were very helpful, the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, the food was excellent (clean plates all round) as was the service. We will definitely be revisiting. Fantastic value for money brilliant 👏 👌

Googled local pub restaurants and found this place, sounded ok so thought we would give it a try, really wished we'd chose somewhere else now. Food was below average for the price they charge, the chips tasted like they were from a chippy on the sea front which we were trying to avoid. Flies were a nuisance, myself and two others didnt finish our meals because of this. Although service was ok, not many smiles from the staff, and regular "walk bys" which gives you the uncomfortable feeling that they think you may leave without paying. We were a group of 5 adults 3 children on a day trip to skegness which was a really good day until our evening meal ruined it. Sorry guys but needs a lot of improvement, we will not be returning. P.S Think some of your reviews may be friends, family, locals...etc which is not fair if misleading the tourists, just saying. Also would recommend replacing the carpet, its an accident waiting to happen.

The food here is to die for. They offer a 2 meals for £15 deal and they are fantastic value for money. Dogs are not allowed inside, the weather was lovely and we sat outside. The cheese burger was really nice, proper melted cheese, not a cheese slice. Staff are very friendly, food is value for money. They also do a kids menu with a really good choice. £5 for meal only, £6 with a drink and ice cream pudding.
