Love this place in Sutton on sea

We felt a couple of the staff were very rude and sarcastic about our dog drinking out a water bowl, we had bought inside. She was quick enough to mumble under her breath, but enough for us to hear her comment!! She huffed and took the bowl outside. Not really a dog friendly cafe, but only if your a local.

Wonderful restaurant. Limited seating but great food. Five star all around

I live locally and come here often. The pinot Grigio (and 2 glasses!) is the best in Sutton! The service is always great and the food is superb. We had ciabatta - one Italian Job and one posh fish finger today. I love to bring visiting friends and family here because it is such a friendly vibe. It’s as good in the winter as it is in the summer. Can’t recommend it enough.

The sweet potato fries were partially burnt. There was hardly any dressing in the salad and the salad was missing a filling side dish (bread/baguette). Some of the lettuce leaves were bitter or dried out

Fries very dark / over done, chicken hard around the edges, it wasnt bad enough to complain, first visit was better but I doubt I'll go back again

Was kept waiting 15 mins for coffees. When I went to the bar to enquire staff were abrupt with no apology. Still no apology when coffees finally arrived. One lady was spraying the inside of the cake cabinet clean it while while another member of staff was putting the cakes in and cleaning spray could have contaminated the cakes .

Stopped by on a couple of occasions for a drink. Shame its not open in the evening.

Dined here on many occasions over the past four years, great food and excellent coffee, but couldn't believe the treatment of two wheelchair users today. When I made overtures to the owner, very politely but firmly, I was threatened with the police and told to f off. Unbelievable.

We visited Sutton-On-Sea for the first time today - what a lovely little town! After a wander around we decided that a coffee and some cake was needed. The first tearoom we came to wouldn’t accommodate our group which included a small dog and a mobility scooter. Luckily we bumped into a friend who lives in the town and she recommended Ice Rock. Result! What a beautiful, stylish little Cafe. The decor and general style and ambience is very impressive and very relaxing. The staff were very accommodating and had no problem with us squeezing the scooter into the corner and bringing the dog in. After looking at the lovely array of cakes and still being undecided, a friendly couple on the next table raved about the four layer Carrot Cake. Two of our party opted for that and my partner and I chose the Espresso Coffee and Walnut Cake. They were presented beautifully with a small jug of cream and were declared by all to be scrummy! Two Americanos, a pot of tea and a Green Tropical smoothie completed our order and were all very nice. We also purchased a few things from the range of gifts available at reasonable prices. Well done to all involved and we look forward to returning to Sutton and particularly to Ice Rock Cafe!

We have been coming to Ice Rock for some time. it is our go to venue for coffee and snacks after a weekly walk along the coast. We have also tried brunch/lunch. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a good choice of drinks, all of good quality. after months of tea or hot chocolate I tried a vanilla milkshake and it was lovely. There is a wide variety of cakes and pastries and the Yorkshire Scoundrels are the best we've tasted.

Menu and food great but the service was chaotic when we were there.

Lovely drinks (especially the signature Caipirinha). The food was great, partner loved his Italian job ciabatta. Very good value for money. Just wish we were local or we'd come back! Highly recommended.

Came in as had to make a stop in Sutton on sea and asked a couple of local lads the best place for a coffee. I had a Lincolnshire Sausage special and a Latte. The food, coffee and service for all amazing. Considering aswell the staff are so young. Such a warm welcoming environment I will be returning. What I found even more exceptional is I clearly wasn't one of their typical customers but you would never would of known with the reception from staff. What a lovely establishment!

Walked in ice rock cafe No body spoke a word two members of staff could see us We sat down a few minutes nothing I got up and got two menus I asked another customer if they take your order or do you go to the bar and order I ordered one prawn salad nothing special One burger with chip six chunky chips glass of white wine and a tea over £30 The food was quite nice but I wouldn’t go again because I was ignored when I walked in

Yummy food. Not too expensive. Had their burgers and milkshakes.

One of my fave places to go. Just wish the kitchen would stay open longer, 3pm in summer !!

A lovely "quirky" cafe, the coffee and cakes were lovely and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Also excellent selection of bags and cushions on sale. The menu looked great, but we just opted for a cake. We will be visiting again.

Stopped here for a brunch break. Great food, great service. Recommend for a quick coffee and go, rest of the menu does look good tho

Wow, what a great restaurant even though you are in a seaside village, you feel like you could be in Spain or Portugal! The variety on the menu can please everyone in your group from the most conservative to the most adventurous. I had the posh fish finger sandwich with chunky chips. It was amazing the Matcha latte is great. on another occasion, I had the breakfast bagel with egg and cheese, and it was so good and only 5 pound. This restaurant isn’t the cheapest but if you want something a little special, it is a good deal. They do advertise salads and I will try them next time and let you know 👍🏻

Very smart cafe/bar. Lucky enough to get 1 hour free roadside parking in Sutton on Sea ..... enough time for a walk around then into Ice Rock Cafe for a latte and cake before driving on to our next stop.

Thank goodness the Beach bar has a ridiculous no serving food after 2.00pm policy. This is the 21st century for goodness sake.However. we found this gem of a cafe bar with excellent Tapas and great service. Would defo recommend.

We recently had an afternoon tea for my friends 40th birthday. The food was absolutely delicious and the attention to detail was great. I had the vegan option and the sandwich fillings, cakes and scones were all amazing, and so much effort had been put into it. Great quality, reasonably priced, food and coffee and ice cream. Great menu to choose from, and some delicious cakes too!! Staff were attentive and friendly. Dog friendly. Would recommend

Enjoyed having our afternoon tea with prosecco. Asorted SANDWICHES are freshly prepared. The salmon and cream cheese in bread is mouth watering. The assorted cakes are all beautifully presented. We ended up with a nice fresh strawberry and meringue and ordered another small bottle of prosecco. Great place and accommodating staff. Thank you so much 🙏 Best regards Joanne

Beautifully decorated inside cafe. Ordered afternoon tea with proseco. To start, they served us lemon sherbet and was refreshing to the palette. The assorted sandwich esp.the salmon with cream cheese in bread was delectable, enjoyed the assorted cakes. The choice of prosecco and pot of tea ends it amazingly. The staff are accomodating. Chilled afternoon lunch, lovely staff, good food, good service

The place is unique and the coffee was really tasty. Nice discovery for us. You got to visit if you are a coffee gurman looking for a lovely coffee in area.

Had afternoon tea with my family for my mum’s 70th birthday. The cakes and sandwich ‘s was amazing. The atmosphere is wonderful and even bought my mum some flowers They made my mum’s day. I would recommend this place, it’s a gem. Thank you

Lovely venue, food and service but a little expensive.

This is the second time we've visited this wonderful cafe. The first was for afternoon tea which was amazing and today we visited for lunch. The food was so delicious, really tasty & fresh and the service was very quick. Even took a dessert home for later! A lovely gem of a cafe in sutton on sea, we will definitely be returning soon!

Offers something different to anywhere else in the area. Great camden lager and lovely food. Very fresh and tasty burgers and bagels, nice environment and good location.

Friendly staff and a good variety of food and drink. Would highly recommend the Smoked salmon bagel and the Caramel Frappé. 1 member of staff was assisting 2 elderly ladies with their phones which was lovely.

Good service, good food, nice quirky place

Incredibly rude & sour elderly female manager who tries to charge illegally for tap water as a service charge. (The premises are licensed)which is what make it 100% illegal. I would definitely look else where for lunch. We ordered our food and spent about £20 on a steak sandwich and bruschetta. We were put off deserts and drinks due to the rudeness of the manager. The staff were nice. We only went up to the bar once for service and payment. Never again !

Always go here whenever we are in Sutton on sea. Plenty of choice of food and drink. Coffee is always nice and so was the bacon muffin. Would definitely recommend

A really nice friendly place to grab a coffee and bite to eat. What a brilliant idea transforming an old pub into a cafe/restaurant . We will definitely recommend to friends when they visit Sutton on sea 👍

Visited on Sunday 15th January for drinks after a walk in Sutton on Sea. The setting was decent, as were the drinks, and I had a strawberry milkshake. The service needs to be improved upon though, as the young staff weren't focused upon customer service, never smiled and were just going through the motions. I would return if the service was improved upon.

Only had coffee, but lovely staff and superb surroundings.

I love it here. The best coffee for miles! Food is delicious.... but quite expensive.

Another lovely experience at the Ice Rock cafe, had the cheese sharing platter, delicious 👌. Can't fault this fab little place, great food, lovely relaxed ambience, beautifully decorated and the staff were as always wonderful, friendly and efficient. I love this place, since moving this way last year we've been there quite a few times. The staff are always very welcoming and the food is lovely 🙂 my mother in-law received a small gift from the manager and owner after we had a birthday afternoon tea on Sunday, which was very unexpected and a beautiful touch. 😍

Tasty and unusual food, delicious coffee, however staff need more training in customer service *we were there on Sunday lunchtime, only one other table in use. When we asked for a menu the reply was 'over there' , I went back to the counter to order and waited patiently while the girl made some coffees, then she stood and looked at me without speaking, she just seemed like she couldn't be bothered. The guy who brought our food out was polite but it just felt like there was a bit of an atmosphere. It's not put me off, we will be back 😋

Went here for the first time with the family has indoor & outdoor seating , chilled out and really smart clean & tidy inside , the lattes were spot on & kids really enjoyed their milkshake & cakes, toilets were spotless and the staff were nice & helpful , would go back

Excellent ...5 star food, service and sunny spot outside. Omelettes were so fresh and the Rosemary Chips yummy ... coffee excellent! Perfect start to a family day out before we hit the beach ... felt like we were on holiday .. would definately recommend Ice Rock Cafe ... really interesting menu too 😋 👌 We will be back 🙂

We had beefburgers and chips. Excellent food but we hate wooden boards and would have preferred proper plates. Nice cafe/bar and friendly and efficient staff but no proper beer for my husband, just lager type beers.

What a fantastic find. This place is just plain fantastic, staff are very friendly, the coffee is delicious and you could put half a stone on just looking at the amazing cakes and buns. Thanks for letting me use the toilet after you cleaned them ❤️❤️

Coffee was best bit about it. The blonde lady that works there is so rude! No customer service at all. Stay away from the omelette tasteless and bland. All I’m all RUBBISH!

Found this little gem or a place on our last day. A must visit for anyone visiting Sutton on Sea. Friendly, helpful staff, very nice food and drink.

Looooved it. What a jewel of a cafe ♡ The food was delicious. Staff was super friendly. The facilities were remarkably clean and the baby changing was as good as you could get it. Very good value for money. Little shelves selling all sorts of trinkets were also a bonus. Loved it and will definitely return if we are ever in the area again :)

Excellent, just came across the Cafe by chance as not visited Sutton for about 20 years. Lovely menu, food very nicely presented and coffee was superb. Ate inside as it was very hot but seating outside if required

What a nice place and friendly staff, worth booking to get a table as it can get busy, they have a few display cabinets inside with some wonderful crystals and ornaments, all for sale, the food was wonderful and we will be visiting again.

Had a lovely dinner here and are open throughout the day. Best to book as the place is small and cosy. Had some outside seating too. Service was very quick and courteous. Good was delicious all homemade even the shops and sauces! Well worth a visit.

Had amazing lunch here. Delicious food something for everyone. Efficient and helpful staff. Will be returning.
