Wow, what a great restaurant even though you are in a seaside village, you feel like you could be in Spain or Portugal! The variety on the menu can please everyone in your group from the most conservative to the most adventurous. I had the posh fish finger sandwich with chunky chips. It was amazing the Matcha latte is great. on another occasion, I had the breakfast bagel with egg and cheese, and it was so good and only 5 pound. This restaurant isn’t the cheapest but if you want something a little special, it is a good deal. They do advertise salads and I will try them next time and let you know 👍🏻

Very smart cafe/bar. Lucky enough to get 1 hour free roadside parking in Sutton on Sea ..... enough time for a walk around then into Ice Rock Cafe for a latte and cake before driving on to our next stop.

Thank goodness the Beach bar has a ridiculous no serving food after 2.00pm policy. This is the 21st century for goodness sake.However. we found this gem of a cafe bar with excellent Tapas and great service. Would defo recommend.

We recently had an afternoon tea for my friends 40th birthday. The food was absolutely delicious and the attention to detail was great. I had the vegan option and the sandwich fillings, cakes and scones were all amazing, and so much effort had been put into it. Thanks again, we will definitely be sharing your location on vegan sites and hopefully popping in for another visit soon. Thanks

Great quality, reasonably priced, food and coffee and ice cream. Great menu to choose from, and some delicious cakes too!! Staff were attentive and friendly. Dog friendly. Would recommend

Enjoyed having our afternoon tea with prosecco. Asorted SANDWICHES are freshly prepared. The salmon and cream cheese in bread is mouth watering. The assorted cakes are all beautifully presented. We ended up with a nice fresh strawberry and meringue and ordered another small bottle of prosecco. Great place and accommodating staff. Thank you so much 🙏 Best regards Joanne

Beautifully decorated inside cafe. Ordered afternoon tea with proseco. To start, they served us lemon sherbet and was refreshing to the palette. The assorted sandwich esp.the salmon with cream cheese in bread was delectable, enjoyed the assorted cakes. The choice of prosecco and pot of tea ends it amazingly. The staff are accomodating. Had afternoon tea with my family for my mum’s 70th birthday. The cakes and sandwich ‘s was amazing. The atmosphere is wonderful and even bought my mum some flowers They made my mum’s day. I would recommend this place, it’s a gem. Thank you

Lovely venue, food and service but a little expensive.

This is the second time we've visited this wonderful cafe. The first was for afternoon tea which was amazing and today we visited for lunch. The food was so delicious, really tasty & fresh and the service was very quick. Even took a dessert home for later! A lovely gem of a cafe in sutton on sea, we will definitely be returning soon!

great location and place for a beer

Offers something different to anywhere else in the area. Great camden lager and lovely food. Very fresh and tasty burgers and bagels, nice environment and good location.

Friendly staff and a good variety of food and drink. Would highly recommend the Smoked salmon bagel and the Caramel Frappé. 1 member of staff was assisting 2 elderly ladies with their phones which was lovely.

Good service, good food, nice quirky place

Incredibly rude & sour elderly female manager who tries to charge illegally for tap water as a service charge. (The premises are licensed)which is what make it 100% illegal. I would definitely look else where for lunch. We ordered our food and spent about £20 on a steak sandwich and bruschetta. We were put off deserts and drinks due to the rudeness of the manager. The staff were nice. We only went up to the bar once for service and payment. Never again !

Always go here whenever we are in Sutton on sea. Plenty of choice of food and drink. Coffee is always nice and so was the bacon muffin. Would definitely recommend

A really nice friendly place to grab a coffee and bite to eat. What a brilliant idea transforming an old pub into a cafe/restaurant . We will definitely recommend to friends when they visit Sutton on sea 👍

Visited on Sunday 15th January for drinks after a walk in Sutton on Sea. The setting was decent, as were the drinks, and I had a strawberry milkshake. The service needs to be improved upon though, as the young staff weren't focused upon customer service, never smiled and were just going through the motions. I would return if the service was improved upon.

Another lovely experience at the Ice Rock cafe, had the cheese sharing platter, delicious 👌. Can't fault this fab little place, great food, lovely relaxed ambience, beautifully decorated and the staff were as always wonderful, friendly and efficient. I love this place, since moving this way last year we've been there quite a few times. The staff are always very welcoming and the food is lovely 🙂 my mother in-law received a small gift from the manager and owner after we had a birthday afternoon tea on Sunday, which was very unexpected and a beautiful touch. 😍

Tasty and unusual food, delicious coffee, however staff need more training in customer service *we were there on Sunday lunchtime, only one other table in use. When we asked for a menu the reply was 'over there' , I went back to the counter to order and waited patiently while the girl made some coffees, then she stood and looked at me without speaking, she just seemed like she couldn't be bothered. The guy who brought our food out was polite but it just felt like there was a bit of an atmosphere. It's not put me off, we will be back 😋

Went here for the first time with the family has indoor & outdoor seating , chilled out and really smart clean & tidy inside , the lattes were spot on & kids really enjoyed their milkshake & cakes, toilets were spotless and the staff were nice & helpful , would go back

Excellent ...5 star food, service and sunny spot outside. Omelettes were so fresh and the Rosemary Chips yummy ... coffee excellent! Perfect start to a family day out before we hit the beach ... felt like we were on holiday .. would definately recommend Ice Rock Cafe ... really interesting menu too 😋 👌 We will be back 🙂

We had beefburgers and chips. Excellent food but we hate wooden boards and would have preferred proper plates. Nice cafe/bar and friendly and efficient staff but no proper beer for my husband, just lager type beers.

What a fantastic find. This place is just plain fantastic, staff are very friendly, the coffee is delicious and you could put half a stone on just looking at the amazing cakes and buns. Thanks for letting me use the toilet after you cleaned them ❤️❤️

Coffee was best bit about it. The blonde lady that works there is so rude! No customer service at all. Stay away from the omelette tasteless and bland. All I’m all RUBBISH!

Found this little gem or a place on our last day. A must visit for anyone visiting Sutton on Sea. Friendly, helpful staff, very nice food and drink.

Looooved it. What a jewel of a cafe ♡ The food was delicious. Staff was super friendly. The facilities were remarkably clean and the baby changing was as good as you could get it. Very good value for money. Little shelves selling all sorts of trinkets were also a bonus. Loved it and will definitely return if we are ever in the area again :)

What a nice place and friendly staff, worth booking to get a table as it can get busy, they have a few display cabinets inside with some wonderful crystals and ornaments, all for sale, the food was wonderful and we will be visiting again.

Excellent, just came across the Cafe by chance as not visited Sutton for about 20 years. Lovely menu, food very nicely presented and coffee was superb. Ate inside as it was very hot but seating outside if required

Limited menu but great food at a reasonable price

Had a lovely dinner here and are open throughout the day. Best to book as the place is small and cosy. Had some outside seating too. Service was very quick and courteous. Good was delicious all homemade even the shops and sauces! Well worth a visit.

Had an amazing night here with the family tonight! Lovely service from all staff, beautiful food. I throughly enjoyed my chicken burger so would definitely recommend that! Would love to see a few more meals for little ones besides a sandwich but saying that my daughter ending up having a bit of everyone’s meals😂 and was happy. Other than that I can’t fault this place, lovely atmosphere, food and staff. Thank you for a lovely night!

Fabulous food!- unfortunately that is all!, customer service is appalling & I've never experienced such a lack of the fundamentals in this area- communication was absent- my sons meal was lost in transit & eventually arrived 10 minutes after mine & my husbands. We weren't starting without him as no cutlery arrived or condiments for that matter! I ordered a Coke and I had to go & ask for it after 10 minutes! The food is good but just not worth the hassle - the foods actually GREAT! ...If you can put up with bad service

Food really good 5 *.Service from staff who don't communicate 1*. Half hour waiting for food, as chef had changed over and order was not actioned. No apology, coffee had been drunk and asked the server for a refill. He took my cup and then nothing. I suggest you get your act together otherwise you will lose customers! UPDATE - Well a reply from the owner, so the staff lied as the owner said they had misplaced my order. The staff work hard, but obviously need some training. I appreciate the apology, but why they had to lie! I didn't ask for a free coffee and was only told by the second server that you don't accept tabs. I had waited long enough and needed to leave as I was on restricted parking. Perhaps a policy to help the staff decide what would be appropriate on occasions like this would be useful. I am speaking as a retired customer service manager for a FTSE Top 100 firm!

I gave this cafe a low score because when we arrived the staff were busy in conversation could have said be with you in a second. When served with coffee I asked lf I could order food I was told I had to pay for the coffees first asked for a menu told they are at the end of the bar when the food came it was not of a quality rubber eggs no knives and forks no sauces offered.When I posted my score received almost obscene reply from owner

Really pleased we took the time to walk further down the street on a recent visit to Sutton on Sea whilst on holiday. Found this little gem of a café/ bistro. The staff were extremely friendly, there are a few tables outside as well as more comfy ones inside. It was a really warm day we went so were lucky to sit outside in the sun. We had the mushrooms and the burgers, both freshly made and piping hot. I had a lovely frappe coffee which on the hot day was perfect. Inside there are cabinets selling all sorts of love goodies e.g. mood bears and sparkly pens. Prices very reasonable. A lovely place for lunch but would be perfect in the evening too whilst sharing a bottle of something! Recommend a visit

I enjoyed the coffee very much and the Carrot Cake is to die for. Again my diet went up in flames. Staff very friendly and more than willing to have good natured banter. Put it on the list of places to go.

Amazing place to get food. It's one of the best in the area. Kind staff, and the food just one of the best in the area. Only minus is that there is no internet but that's due to the town I believe. Definitely worth visiting and eating.

So happy to finally find somewhere local selling fantastic coffee made with a choice of non dairy milks- the chocolate cake was amazing too, I'm told !

We visited Ice Rock Cafe 21st May 22, enjoyed it so much, went back the next day. Had a lovely bacon muffin and really good coffee. Staff are really friendly, most importantly, they're doggie friendly.

Ice Rock Cafe is a very well presented cafe, clean friendly staff, I had soup, I'm 99.9% sure it was from a tin, the 'variety' that doesn't particularly agree with me. Most places these days do home made. There was a good menu, but because it's a chilly day I opted for soup.

Hot chocolate was definitely lacking in chocolate, and the atmosphere was average, the lady serving never smiled once, Latte was ok but definitely not worth what they charge.

Came down to try and had a steak and onion baguette 🥖 Even got free entertainment off the locals 😉😂

First visit today of this amazing little cafe, service was excellent, staff very polite and helpful, food is excellent as are the facilities, and to top it off military discount was given, my wife and kids fully concur with my findings, highly recommended and we will be back. PS, thank you to the young man that gave us the discount.

What a lovely little cafe. Stopped there today for a breakfast and coffee. 1 Eggs Florentine for me and a New Yorker Bagel (with quorn sausage) went down very well. Couldn't fault it. And the coffee? Yep good too. Have to say the cakes and pastries on display looked very tempting. Maybe next time:-))

Quality cafe and licensed bar with quality fare, cakes etc, a very good selection of coffee and tea, staff friendly and well informed, a good selection of tables and chairs inside and out, very comfortable, cosy atmosphere, yards from the sea front and next to a variety of shops. Free two hour car park and paid if longer. This place has got it about right for locals and Holliday makers. A visit is a must.
