We decided to give this lovely little establishment a try today for the first time, before we attended , I called to have a little more information such as the price and if they catered for my very fussy toddler, the owners are so accommodating, very friendly and so welcoming that was just on the phone which made us decide even more so to give it a try, when we arrived all staff were approachable, as it was a Sunday it was carvery day we found a seat , then went and queued up considering it was only person serving it was very quick , the food was hot and cooked nicely we had 3 choices of meat , the only small criticism i have is maybe have a bit more a variety of veg there was no complaints on what there was, we will definitely be returning , and i highly recommend xx

Been here today for carvery £7.95 you get plenty of meat, Yorkshire pud, stuffing and roast potatoes. Then you help yourself to veg . The gravy had beef in it & was really nice. And u get pudding too. Not a choice really. Apple crumble with custard or ice cream. For the money it was worth a vist.

I’ve eaten twice at this restaurant over the past weekend and both meals were lovely. For the first meal we are off the menu, and I have to agree with previous posters about the portion sizes which are great. It was nice to have more than a handful of chips which is usually the standard for pub grub. Food was cooked fresh and piping hot. All good On the Sunday we visited for the Carvery. And although lovely I have to say it isn’t quite the Carvery I was expecting. As frequent visitors of Toby Carvery, you are served the meat and Yorkshire, but then all the rest you help yourself. I’m a big eater so was very disappointed to be served one ice-cream scoop of mash and only one roasted potato. The only items you could get yourself was the veg. Yorkshire puddings we’re not home made. My daughter is mad about stuffing and again was only offered one. BUT, what we did get was lovely and again was nice and hot which for a buffet is good. Meat portion was very generous and good lovely. Will be back…just might chance my arm and ask for an extra scoop of mash :)

Not sure why it says this place is temporarily closed when we ate there yesterday? So they had a deal on for a pie (chicken and mushroom or steak and ale) with either mash and vegetables or chips and peas with a pint (you could choose a soft drink or ale) for £7.50, we had 2 pies 🥮 (steak and ale with chips) with a pint of shandy and coke, a fish 🐟 and chips 🍟 and a scampi, and a pint of coke and lemonade, it came to around £40. It arrived so quickly which I was really impressed with, the pies were lovely, nice flakey pastry and the chips are probably the best chips I've had (they're not homemade but at most places they aren't) they were nice and soft how I like them, my mum loved her fish and my sister really enjoyed her scampi. We then decided to have dessert 🍨 we got chocolate 🍫 fudge cake 🎂 with cream, apple crumble and cream, apple pie and custard and sparkle cake and custard which came to £17. Everyone enjoyed the desserts, i will say the sparkle cake (which is a piece of cake that's pink sponge and white icing with lot's of hundreds and thousands was pretty dry, I probably wouldn't eat it again. But everything else was great, the lady who served us was very friendly oh and they took our plates away very quickly after we had finished eating which i really appreciate, would definitely come back!

My daughter was well looked after and she was very happy when she was brought an ice cream as a birthday treat on what was our first ever visit, they also took our cake and brought it through for us candles lit singing happy birthday etc. We would highly recommend Greenacres as the service we received was excellent and more than you would reasonably expect, we will be returning before we go back home.

Thus is so disappointing as i have visited this place 4 times previously and not had a problem. Thus time i ordered the steak pie and chips at a cost of £8.25. I waited for the microwave to go ding and then saw my meal come out . The pastry was very soggy and and so were the chips as well you would have thought you asked for scraps. My friend ordered mashed potato and steak pie. The pie was 1inch thick 3inch wide and 4inch long the cost was also £8.25. The potato had never seen a pinch of salt or knob of butter or even a round thing resembling a spud. This is the last time i will visit this place and will not recommend it to anyone that I know as i dont want any repercussion. 🤢🤢

Residential Home Food and atmosphere. Went for food, as I didn’t want Skegness’ finest pizza/burger take away. So ordered three steak pies with “creamy mash and this seasons vegetables”. I ended up with a dried out slice of pie, a slab of overcooked smash, and a portion of peas. It’s March, not June/July, I expected carrots and other seasonal vegetables. Not a single vegetable item. The decor reminds me of a residential home, and the name is perfect for this “Greenacres Retirement Home / Greenacres Residential Home”. From old paisley carpet, to lack of waiting staff, and the pastel colours throughout. Dated pictures everywhere, with a tv shoved on a wall to break the monotony of knitting, reading and puzzles. Remember kids, don’t be too loud to disturb the other folk! I’ll give their carvery a miss, in case it’s all overcooked; perfect for those unable to chew.

Me and my family of 4 popped in as we had such good value meals last year, as we entered I said to the wife, it seems very quiet in here. We soon found out the reason why. I ordered pie and mash to be told they had no mash, my son wanted sausages and they had no sausages and my mum wanted fish and chips and they had no fish. The owner was very impolite and a different one to last year, The prices were very expensive. I felt very sorry for the chap who came round cleaning the tables as was the only person who seemed to be doing any work and was jolly but I doubt very much he will last at this place.

Visited here last month with my Nan, auntie and two cousins expecting to have my usual bargain £5 rump steak. As soon as we walked in I thought it was strange that the place was empty as it's always packed even when you get there early evening, you usually struggle for a table without booking. When we sat down and looked at the menu I realised why, it was a very basic menu with none of the offers they had previously. We realised the management must have changed. The food we ordered was nice, but I ended up having chicken tikka masala as it was a limited choice. I have visited this pub for years, since I was a child and I have never seen it so empty. I think the management need to have a rethink and then they may start to get the customers back. All in all I would visit again but probably not as often as I previously have

Given one star as it wouldn’t let me give NONE. Camped here over the last weekend in August. I will honestly NEVER go back. We didn’t use the bar/restaurant but if the toilet/shower block is anything to go by then I wouldn’t bother. We were charged £30 something pound a night!!!! Overpriced for the filthy facilities on offer. The pitch that we were allocated was over the road from the main site, next to a fairly busy road, which made it VERY noisy at night. In order for my children to go to the toilet, they had to cross said road, as there were NO facilities on our field (aka bit of grass next to the road) The grass area stunk of urine (probably because people used the field as a toilet as they didn’t want to have to walk over the road to the facilities) After visiting the toilet block it’s not a wonder that the field was the preferred option. It was FILTHY. The first day we went in the shower block was Friday at around 10pm, and I gave it the benefit of the doubt as it was late at night and was probably awaiting the cleaner. How wrong I was, as the next day it just got worse. Myself and the children went over around 8am, there are 5 or 6 toilets, all but one had ran out of toilet paper, all were smeered with faeces and one was completely blocked (and full of faeces). It stunk, and to top it off I was expected to shower in the same block. There are only 3 sinks, 2 of which were blocked, the other was so matted with hair around the plug that it was slow to let the water through (the matted hair remained there throughout our stay) There are no private cubicles to brush your teeth or put on a bit of make up and there are no plugs or hairdryer so unless you have electric hook up you can’t dry your hair. Now time to tell you about the showers. SHOCKING is the only non swear word that springs to mind. There is brown scum at least half way up the tiles, there is hair in the plug holes, dirt on the walls and the same questionable marks on the walls for the duration of the stay. I actually think I came out the shower dirtier than when I went in. The only thing that made them bareable was that they were warm. Those showers need to be shown a bit of bleach and a scrubbing brush. Sunday morning was just the same, the floor was littered with rubbish, and I never once saw the facilities closed for cleaning or with a cleaner within 10 feet!

Being our first visit to Greenacres we weren't sure how it worked. We pre booked and on arrival we were told to go sit at a table number and we were pointed in a general direction. We sat and waited for about 20mins no one came to ask for drinks or even gave us menus. My partner went off to ask if it was table service or do we order at the bar... as we had seen a waitress taking orders at tables. We were told to take a menu and order all at the bar. Which was easy enough, would have been nice to have been told that on arrival. Anyway the food came and wow.. i had the ultimate combo and for 13.50 is amazing value. See picture.. all that and a bowl of chips. I had to give the steak to my partner as i just couldnt eat it all. The restaurant itself looks a little dated but the food is great especially if you have a big appetite. Will definitely visit again now we know how to order 😁

We gave it go after seeing the good reviews and didn't regret it. It is one of those order at the bar pub grub places with quite a big menu which is quite varied, mainly meat focused and very reasonably priced. I wasn't sure if the food would have much flavour as I would presume the meat isn't of the highest quality, however the way it is prepared and cooked means we had a really nice meal. The steak had a lovely taste to it and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her £5 rump which was a bargain. So for a really nice cheap meal I really do recommend this place, but not if you fancy something a bit posher, it's not that sort of place - but then again it isn't that sort of money either!

How is it not standard that a burger comes with chips! My mum ordered the large rump, didn't come cooked how it was ordered and the price paid didn't wager any extras which would be standard in most places like mushrooms and tomatoes, thirdly older woman maybe the manager seems to have forgotten how to be polite to customers and dripped her p's and q's when communicating to me, won't be coming back til I hear of changes, shame as the front of house staff was lovely.

Good food especially the Tbone steak. The staff attentive. For a small touring site you would expect this quality of food at a more expensive restaurant we go once a week now .

There was a long wait. Food came averagely warm, not hot. Seemed like veg was either tinned or frozen. Overall the meal was very budget. Prices high for amount you get. Didn't feel a place to relax. Had high hopes as was highly recommended and was really let down. Won't go again.

Everytime we holiday in the area we always have Sunday lunch here, the meat and veg is amazing. The staff are very friendly. It is advisable to book a table in advance.

My family go here on a regular basis it's become our local haunt simply because of it's laid back friendly environment, value for money and quality of food. We very recently had our wedding here and the staff were fantastic, they really couldn't do enough for us. Lovely people!!

The service was excellent, however the steak was a real let down. It was thin and was very chewy. The rest of my mixed grill was very nice

Staying in Aby village for a week's holiday and had to try the local pub. Exterior looks a bit "tired" but don't be put off - inside it's friendly. cosy and lots of character. Excellent choices of dishes on the menu and "daily specials" board - we especially appreciated the choice of gluten-free options and Dawn was happy to go through each option in detail. Good portions and served hot! Very tasty and wholesome. Wide range of dessert options too and it was evident from conversations with other diners, that Dawn would also be happy to adapt these just to suit individual requirements. Obviously very deserving of the many awards over many years.

Unfortunately, the Dunes Complex is definitely not wheelchair friendly. There are disabled parking spaces in the car park. However, they were all taken, and some didn't have Blue Badges visible. Once in the Dunes Complex, there are 2 more ramps to consider, the 1st one is quite steep, and the 2nd one is less of a hassle. If a wheelchair user or someone who has mobility difficulties wanted to get to the stage, they would have to ask staff for a further ramp. To get onto the stage itself, well, there are narrow corridors that a wheelchair does not fit through, and there are no handles or any form of mobility aid.
