Just popped in for a drink. Lovely staff. Back tomorrow for the mid-week roast.

Been here a couple of times now and both the steak pie and the Sunday roast are excellent, good prices as well plus the arcades just over the road Worth a visit

We had a few days in chapel Monday to Friday last week. Arrived early afternoon so we decided to have food . We ordered scampi and it was very nice. Only problem was the weather, it had started to drizzle so had to sit outside and eat with the dog in the rain. Not dog friendly . Also we intended to go and have a few beers in the evening. We arrived little after 8 to see the doors locked. States till late on the website .! So had to walk down the road.

Had lasagne and jacket potato today, lasagne was hard topped tastless and lumpy bits beef in it,the jacket potato was that cold the butter didn't melt. Husband had sirloin steak with chips and peas,the steak tasted funny the chips were cold and peas hard.Worst £41 ever spent, really gone down hill.!!

40 minute wait for food in an empty place, ordered Grilled Prawn Salad £14, for 4 prawns, loads of cold new potatoes and a bowl full of wilted bitter salad leaves, and half of a tomatoe - needless to say will not be dining here again, poor quality at extortionate prices most expensive prawns I’ve ever eaten.

Nice clean place. Food was good and got big portions

Got really poorly from 2 different dishes at 2 different times and staff are rude.

Ordered three meals two arrived cold and had to be reheated which took the flavor out of the meals. Not very good.

We've been here every day of our holidays in Chappel for the last three years in a row and have not a single complaint from all those visits. It's very nice, it's clean and tidy, really great staff, and fantastic food. Yesterday I had the nicest chicken tikka masala I've ever had in any pub. Today I had the steak salad and it was great. I've had a variety of thier meals year after year and all were spot on.

Been here twice this week table of 5 food amazing staff very miserable didn't even ask if there was any dietary requirements or check back on food a smille goes along way thankyou for quality food compliments to the chef

Checked the Facebook page which said there was Carvery available Tuesdays 12-8pm. Arrived at 7pm and ordered a drink to then be told that carvery’s had finished at 6. Thought oh well, we will order something else from the menu, oh no, they had closed the kitchen (early). Best thing about this was we explored a little wider and found a lovely little Italian resteraunt in chapel st Leonard’s and that was amazing. We will spend more time there in future

Went in on 12th July 2024.ordered lasagne with chips and peas. The lasagne was hard on top ,couldn't even cut it with a knife and the mince meat was in big lumps. I complained and the waitress took it back and replaced the lasagne. It came back ,the lasagne was a little better but the chips and pears were cold . It wasn't appetiseing at all .I left most of it . Won't be eating here again

Went for Sunday lunch, it was a lovely fresh dinner and would of returned but the gravy was so salty it was inedible. Service ect was amazing but that was the only downside

Very friendly service only called in for a quick drink but was shocked at the price of the drinks 2 pints £10-40 so only had 1 drink and left to call at the next pub which was the smugglers inn which was only £7 for 2 pints

Had the 10oz rump steak, cooked to perfection. Really enjoyed the meal, wife had the 10oz gammon also cooked perfectly enjoyed the meal too, couldn't fault it.

To Expensive food as gone down hill Sunday and Tuesday carvery meat cold roast potatoes dry not worth the money

Total over priced on the drinks total rip off over £12 for a pint a. Glass of wine avoid at all cost be warned.No wonder it was empty today

Sunday lunch was very nice can recommend. Even for a vegetarian as that's my son. Very tasty and hot. Plenty of room to sit and enjoy and not squashed together. Prices reasonable too.

Think there's a bartender called Amy. She made my daughters birthday by hand crafting her a little mocktail. That was so kind and sweet of her. She was so customer focused, friendly and polite. She made the whole atmosphere. Thank you so much. I'll attach a pic to make sure I've got the right girl 💖

Good food. Quite pricey. 2 meals 2 drinks £40. Very clean

Had carvery 2weeks ago an all the veg was dry and cold the meat was lovely. Will think hard about going again. Very disappointed for the price we paid

This place is Hella expensive,two pints was £13 and not poured right. Pub smells of veg warmer and way over priced.AVOID!

Enjoyed most of my Sunday carvery. Hope they cook the stuffing balls less next time. Couldn't bite into it. Or cut it. The deserts there are to d*e for though

Hunters chicken, normally a safe bet but this was tough, overcooked and not very nice at all. The staff were pleasant which was a redeeming factor

Mid week carvery,food perfect pub restaurant quiet clean and tidy staff welcoming and friendly and you don't even have to be on the caravan site a must day visit

It was our anniversary and the staff treated us lovely the food was amazing and prosecco was chilled nicely

Busy place with a good atmosphere. The food was great, came out hot and we didn't have to wait long even though it was busy. Would go back again.

Great food at a reasonable price. Couldn't fault what me, my wife, and son had.

Clean and friendly and decent food. A bit impersonal but to be expected given the high number of customers. The best chance of a reasonable meal of all the diners in this busy holiday area. Free drawing sheets and crayons for the kids. Disabled access and toilets.

£9.80 for 2 pints of low end lager , quite shocking in the area

We called in a table of 6 for us for carvery. Staff were really friendly the area was tidy. Carving of the meet and service from the lads were brilliant. I even managed to forget my purse and they’d put it safe behind the bar.

Menu is really limited. Not much choice at all.

Nice and friendly place, with a good atmosphere and friendly staff. Food looks fantastic, and there's a good selection of drinks for all ages.

Fast service at a very busy time. We all had a regular roast dinner. There was a good choice of meats and pie. They are not tight with the amount they put on. Well worth the money. Fat and full now. Thank you

We been here 2 times now why we were on holiday the food was amazing here really made up for the horrible pizza and chicken shop food was so fresh and beautifully cooked to perfection and the staff was really nice too

Has became more of a restaurant than a pub over the past few years, quite expensive in there but the food is good and makes a change from all of the pizzas and kebabs we usually have in chapel

This was all fine, good service, family friendly, reasonable prices and my lasagne was very nice.

Always had good food and on this occasion we had 6 children with us and they didn't mind the excitement from them

Came in this week with 3 kids missus and in-laws. All had meal and drink. Prices were reasonable, food was served quickly and was pretty decent. Knocked a star off because the 10oz rump steak was a bit over cooked. The aircon was a godsend as it was cooking outside. Staff were all really nice and professional. Yeah good place worth a visit

In my opinion the quality of food as gone down in the last couple of years. I had pie , chips and gravy. Chips were very hard. Pie was soggy and the gravy was like water. I'll give it a miss in future

Went for the carvery the selection was excellent but its stone cold. Pity as if it was warm/hot been really nice

Went in for a Mid-Week Carvery, all the food was dry and Over-priced. We come to Skeggy 6 times and year and I'll never go in there again 🤢 🤮

We ate here as there wasn’t anywhere else serving food and we were tired after travelling We had to sit outside as we had our dog even though it was empty inside We ordered mixed grills but they hadn’t any ? And it was empty ? We settled on cheeseburger which was really nice and all day breakfast which wasn’t so good … We wouldn’t eat here again

Don't do Wednesdays carvery anymore but other than that a nice place to go

Spent £30 on 2 burgers and chips. Was greasy. Cheap. And disgusting. Got a refund. Would definitely not recommend this place. Don't waste your time and money here

Called in for Lunch plenty of spaces to sit very friendly staff food came out in good time and was excellent.

What a shame. Sunday night and they don't serve food. Disappointing considering they are on a caravan site

The young waiter was lovely. Very friendly and polite with everyone. Food lovely and lots of it. Bar staff nice. Clean and tidy. Nice atmosphere. Only flaw was no hand dryer in the gents toilets. Otherwise fab.

Very nice place to sit and eat inside or outside. You can bring digs they have water available for them all round the outside food lovely. Menu covers all options

Ordered 5 meals & 2 side orders, well after a long wait the side orders arrived, & nothing else. Another wait & only 3 meals came, so questioned it, another wait then other 2 meals arrived, well we wanted to eat as a family!! Food was quite nice, a large plate of food but not all hot & service was terrible, no apology or adjusting of bill, young couldn't care less staff.

We visited this restaurant most of our stay whilst at the golden palm. The food was lovely and you get good portions. The carvery was great and very tasty. It was a hit for us as a couple and a child. We also went for the football and they have plenty of tvs and it was a good atmosphere whilst there. We will definitely be returning again

Good carvery, nice roast potatoes, meat cooked ok and nice thick tasty gravy, only complaint was the stuffing it was really dry and tasteless but the rest was good and the guy who served was a good guy.

The beef was very tender loads of roasted potatoes and well cooked veg only down review lager £4.60 Plenty of room outside if weather permits the cleaning of vacant tables were tidied away an cleaned quite quickly

Lovely carvery. Lots of choice and good portions of meat for £9.95. Be warned though the drinks are expensive.

The carvery here is wonderful. You can also visit on a Tuesday for the carvery too. With a choice of meats, steak pie or vegetarian cottage pie .. as well as a great selection of vegetables. Access for pushchairs and wheelchairs too. They also have a fantastic selection of food on the menu too 😊

Prices are high food is warmed up and not enough of it... Carvery ok but dont order of the menu, beer prices are extortionate. Archers round corner £2.50 a pint

Visited for dinner on the hottest day of the year and couldn't believe how friendly the man (Ash)working on the carvery deck was he was great with the kids! Food was hot and tasted great, will visit again.

Went to have dinner on Sunday than got told it was finished at 6 not very clear on that meat got waste should make it more clear when you stop serving

Lovely food and good selection but a bit pricey for families. And sachet condiments which personally I don't like because most you can't open.

Went there for food on a sunday in July ,stopped serving food at 6pm ,absolutely crazy in peak season the whole place was empty, no wonder places close down .

Had a great Sunday Carvery here. Nice place to eat. Great food. Will be back.

Drinks very expensive compared to other bars in the town.

The food and drinks are absolutely fine but the service was poor compared to visiting last year. Felt like we were eating in a petty school playground so we left. Staff need to act more mature and not take the mick out of customers.

No choice of food either carvery or lunch stuff, drinks expensive but what me most was the terrible service and attitude of the bar staff! Felt very uncomfortable obviously inside jokes going on at customers expense! False smiles when being served, acted like they really didn’t want to be there! Never again will I go there u less they employ staff who give customer service

1st time visiting and would definitely come back again. We had 10oz gammon with chips and peas with egg. £17.00 for both good value for money. Well presented on black slate effect plate. Lovely and clean place and staff was friendly and helpful
