Three Tuns in East Lindsey

Bought a large traditional pasty, was warm and delicious, price was a little on the steep side at £5.70 but overall could not fault it, would recommend.

Staff are so lovely and the food is amazing, you can taste the quality in the ingredients, prices are brill and they also do half price at certain time of day which is so great 👍

Good selection and friendly staff but unfortunately I've had two bad experiences. One was I bought a cake and it was almost a week old :( and the second was that I bought a bread pudding and I admit this might be just my taste but it was quite hard and had a gross texture. I'm used to bread pudding being pretty moist and soft so I could not eat it at all

Just ordered a toasties was flat as a pancake and cold as was the tea . Never again

Please move your A board advertising sign. Twice I’ve had to move it to allow a wheelchair user to use the pavement. Council rules state that there has to be a minimum of 1.5 metres between the board and the road. It’s fine in front of your window but it can’t block the pavement like it is.

Love the Bakery Items with their Coffee. Affordable and Delicious.

Plenty to choose from all freshly baked and good range of coffees and teas, will be returning to try some more of the bakery goods

Nice choice of bakery options, sweet and savoury. Pastries tasted good, only knocked a star off due to me expecting more filling. Prices very reasonable.

Went here today for a pasty lunch whilst visiting Barnstaple. I had a large steak for £5.20. It was delicious. A decent portion and fantastic fillings - the meat and veg were excellent quality. The pastry was rich and buttery. I'd definitely recommend 🙌🏻 The service was friendly a efficient.

I got to recommend the bacon turn overs. Pretty nice place to grab a quick snack/lunch from pasties to baguettes.

Plastic inside pasties! Brought three cornish pasties at lunchtime. The chicken and leek was luke warm, the beef and vegetable a bit warmer, but the the traditional one had a surprise inside. Unfortunately it was supposed to be my pasty but due to the chicken and leek basically being cold, I gave the traditional one to my girlfriend. It was piping hot, but the surprise was a blue piece of plastic half way through the pasty, after my girlfriend had nearly eaten the whole thing. We immediately took it back and spoke to the male manager. He wouldn't give the money back for the chicken and leek, but did for the plastic included traditional pasty. He blamed it on outside suppliers making them, but you could see them putting freshly made pasties into the oven, so not sure about the explanation Never going there again. The pasties weren't even nice.

Ordered gluten free pasties to be baked, paid for said pasties. Came back 45 minutes later and they had forgotten to put them in the oven. Poor!!

Grab a coffee and a Danish from this old fashioned bakery. Great prices.

Excellently stocked bakery - lots of options on sandwiches, savoury, and sweet treats! Prices are pretty good to... got the kids some doughnuts, must of been good as it was all over their face!

Really enjoy the baguettes and hot baked goods. Always have a cake that tempts me. Can have a bit of a queue but usually moves quickly

Pasties are proper Cornish, and very good. Excellent range of products.

I always buy the pasties here while on holiday. Vegan sausage rolls and gluten free cheese and onion pasties especially, for the family members with the relevant requirements.

I ordered from JustEat as I am unwell and this order immediately made me feel better. What amazing freshly made baguette and coffee, thank you! I would definitely recommend to others. They had even thought to stick a little sticker over the coffee to prevent spills.

We ordered 100 croissants for a breakfast party after our wedding. They were all absolutely delicious, made on time ready for collection, our guests absolutely loved them!

Large Cornish pasty was hot and filling with just the right proportions of tender meat and vegetables and the perfect peppery spiciness!

Fantastic little bakery. The staff are friendly and the food is pretty decent especially the chorizo sausage roll. However I've given it 4 stars as I still think there's room for improvement as i have had a member of staff seem abit rude however I don't know if they work their anymore as I haven't seen them around. So could be 5 stars soon :)

Had a problem with my online order today and the team at Barnstaple bakery was amazing sorting it all out. Such lovely caring staff and such lovely food, highly recommend the yummie sausage rolls. I was also left a nice sorry note on my order as well when it turned up.

Came to Devon last week and while visiting barnstaple decided to pick up some snacks for lunch, Am so pleased we choose to buy here, There pasties, sausage rolls, cheese and onion slices, and ham and mushroom slices were delicious, They were the best we had while down in devon, the staff were so friendly I haven't got a bad word to say, Just gutted that I never got chance to return before leaving,

Rock cakes looked great, unfortunately they were burnt on the bottom making the inedible

The majority of the cakes are clearly brought in and the few they make are made badly. I purchased a chocolate cornflake cake that was soft and was made with cooking chocolate. I also order a steak slice that had a small amount of filling and was mostly onion, potatoes and a bit of mince. Very disappointing. Feel like they put it no effort as a local bakery at all. Your better off going to greggs

The pasties and sausage rolls are better than any other bakery in Barnstaple.

Excellent service and quality bakery. Fresh ground coffee £1.00 as good if not better than any other coffee shop. Support local. Really friendly service. My new regular coffee haunt. Lovely cakes too

First time in visiting here the owner very friendly, was a bit smokey for us food not bad will try again this year 2016 to see if it has improved

Only ever had 1 less satisfactory visit here, but nothing has stopped me yet love the food especially the steak! The burger challenge is a must also! Particular highlight are the chips, best in the area! Be back soon!

Girl behind bar spoke too me in such a shock manor il never go back again very rude and shoved my beer down that angry she spilt it all over ,lovely place but went over road too ship as never been spoke too like that before ,I only asked a question it was like she didn't have time even though we was only people in there ,other than that was lovely pub ,wish there was a higher person working there so I could off complained too instead of writing on here

Went in as heard the reviews ,minute I walked in it smelled amazing the food did ,I went too bar and was waiting some ten minutes I noticed the barmaid talking too and kissing what looked like her partner on other side off bar ,she never noticed me so I went through too the other bar thinking maybe she not noticed me and when I realised she did and was too busy dealing with her partner first I just thought how rude ,I got my partner and just left the staff are not bothered about serving people first ,more about there own life ,such a shame as was looking forward too a meal with my wife but if that's the service from drinks I couldn't imagine waiting for food she never even asked me or noticed me leaving I don't think

Pleasant enough atmosphere & friendly staff. Unfortunately it was not as nice as earlier in the year.

We visited earlier in the year and then again last week when four of us had a really great meal with great service it was quite busy but there was not a long wait.We will definitely visit again on our next visit to the area

If you like steak this is the place to go. Cooked to perfection. HUGE/MASSIVE portions. Also eating challenges. Very good value for money. I wouldn't recommend for vegetarians although I'm sure they do some vege meals. Decor could do with an update but otherwise good pub food

Did the ultimate burger challenge, it was cooked to perfection and delicious. Partners lamb and mint burger was a big hit too.

Fantastic Meals from Burgers to 50oz steaks which if you can eat it all you get for free. There's quite a few challengers and if done you get a certificate and your name up on the board. Always welcomed by the Manager and staff. Also a wonderful Sunday Carvery which is reasonably priced but you need to phone for a seat. The normal beer but for those people who like real Ale to good beers.

A memorable meal for all the wrong reasons. If Basil Fawlty himself had made an appearance it would have capped the evening off a treat. To start, the Batemans beer was well past its sell by date and tasted of vinegar - beware a pub that doesn't look after its ale. I could have had a Guinness, but only from a can! Being a group of nine, we had booked a table and ordered our food at the bar. To make it easier (or so we thought) we paid for our own food separately on four tickets, but requested the food came out all together. Needless to say two two meals arrived and then the wait began. On the plus side, it did give the chef time to cook one of the steaks properly. Interestingly, the steak is served on a board, on the plate - I suppose it makes it easier to take back to the kitchen, which seemed a regular occurrence.The first two meals had been eaten before the rest of us saw our food. With hindsight it would have given us opportunity to change the order, as another sirloin had to be sent back - this time it was overcooked. Doubtless feeling a bit miffed, the chef came out to argue the toss, but was sent packing by my daughter - a chef. After an age the final plate arrived, at least 30 minutes after the first.We didn't stay for the music later, having had all the entertainment we could take for one evening. Would I recommend the Three Tuns? Sadly not.

we have been several times through the year and our food was beautiful everytime, i have never cared much for steak until i went here, love it and medium rare.. melts in the mouth, everyone who has been with me have really enjoyed the food and have said they will visit again, lovely food, lovely staff!!

Told our friend how good the food was in the Tuns and he was not disappointed, everything was perfect on a night out we always eat in the Tuns and have never had a bad meal or a bad night keep up the good work lads and lasses

Visited this place with friends for lunch but the pub was very smokey. There was shouting coming from the kitchen and the ale we tried was like vinegar. We changed our mind on eating here but after reading these reviews i am glad we did not try it. never again

We came here for our grandads 69th birthday And wow the food was out of this world l. Easily the best meal I've had in a long long time. The gammon melted on your tongue. The staff were brilliant. I would definitely recommend it to everyone. MUST TRY!!!!!

So I've been in here a few times in the holidays and noticed a new young girl working behind the bar she looks new so I can't slate her ways but she looks like she don't wanna be there and it's an effort too serve me a drink ,so I saw past all that and saw she was young and thought I would give her a chance ,I then overhead her asking another member off staff if they could sort out some sniff( ie cocaine,) and with that the other man walked off and said he's sorting it now .i looked at her too see if she even acknowledged the fact I had heard her and she just rolled her eyes at me I had too walk out then ,this place is well and truly going down hill it's bloody shocking too tell you the truth ,from reading other reviews it's not the food that's krap it's the bloody staff especially ones that are more bothered about there reflection in the glass then serving the customers

For the last two Saturday's we have been impressed with the food and the staff have been great we will most definitely be back in October when we come up from Southampton for great food cooked to perfection

We visited because they advertised real ale on sale, however the barman did not know what a sparkler was, or what it did to the beer, then the second pint came out looking like milk, he was surprised when I refused it, pulled another the same, so I changed my order, that pint was ok, but then he said that I might as well have the two that I had refused, as they would only be thrown away, I refused them a second time.We did not eat in there as we thought that the prices were a bit high for the area, although I would have loved to see someone attempt the 80oz (5lb) steak at £49.

after having a meal used the urinal which seemed to be going down then all ov a sudden it exploded back out ov urinal and went all over jeans and trainers then complained they seem to have known about problems with mens toilet but but did not seem that interested so makes you wonder what the hygene is like in kitchen

We went in August 2015, great food, brill staff..when the staff found out it was someone's birthday they went out bought a birthday card and a box of chocolates...nice touch...only advice the decor needs revamping otherwise food wise...Faultlesss

I have lived locally for a couple of months and known for a while that this is the place to go for good steak. We as a family have eaten at many other places but we came to the three tuns for first time and we was not disappointed portions were huge, we had the 10oz rib eye steak, 3 burgers and a kids meal that had 5 fish fingers. the chips was literally the most tastiest i have ever had at a restaurant they even beat most fish and chip shops around lol. Staff was all nice and friendly and helped us with anything we needed even set up a table to accommodate. 5* will be back :)

Just had another lovely meal at the three tons the steak was cooked to perfection just how we like our streaks all staff are very welcoming and helpful the only fault is that the pub is in need of a lot of TLC but you cannot fault the food well worth a visit time and time again x

We had a Sunday carvery. Encountered a problem because they only accept cash - you cannot pay by card. Good choice of meat, thickly cut however my rare beef was inedible - no matter how hard I tried I just couldn't cut it. It's the only carvery that I've ever visited where you are served roast potatoes- disappointing as I like to select my own. Plates were all different sizes which was also a bit strange- I had a big oval plate and my husband had a much smaller round plate. Food was hot.

Best food by far around ingoldmells eaten in lots as we have a caravan here and i think this is defo the best

We live local to The Three Tuns but had never had a meal there before. We were very impressed, our fussy eater ate the lot. The service was fantastic, the meals came quickly all very hot, the portion sizes were large and the prices were reasonable. All the staff were very accommodating. The Three Tuns is the perfect venue when you are on holiday in Skegness and surrounding areas.We will return again

Went tonight with husband & 2 kids. Chef came out to show us the cuts of steaks that were left after a busy day. 2 of us ordered surf & turf, 1 rump steak & 1 ribeye. Pub was very busy as it was open mic night. only waited 20 mins for food but it was well worth the wait. Excellent friendly service & chef came to see if meals were ok. Nothing left on any of our plates which speaks volumes. Will definitely be returning.

We went last night for a meal, the steaks we had were the best we've ever tasted. We weren't brave enough to tackle the 80oz steak challenge though. The only problem was that there was entertainment on while we were there, and it was far too loud. We were having to shout at each other instead of talking!

We visited The Three Tuns last last week. We have just returned from a weeks holiday to Chapel and decided to pay The Three Tuns after seeing it on the Chapel and Ingoldmells Fanclub group site. We was really impressed with the choice may daughter and grand-daughter, aged 8 and 9 decided on the adult size gammon, when they arrived, beautifully prepared their eyes nearly popped out of their heads. The gammon was huge and served with peas and homemade chips, they ate the lot saying it was delicious. My partner had the steak and ale pie, which he said was the best he'd ever had, while I had the beef suet pudding, so full of flavour. My family and I would highly recommend eating here and would return on our next visit. I can only imagine the bad reviews come from aliens. we are quite particular and have given an honest review. Thank you to the chef and staff, who were very busy preparing for a party for the evening, but made us feel very welcome and made the effort to make sure we was looked after.

Not a bad pub to look at, and the beer, although not really cold enough. wasn`t too bad. We went for a sunday dinner. The Yorkshire pudding was hard and burn`t black. The veg`s were stewed and soggy, and somehow whilst the gammon did have a salty twang to it. The pork beef and chicken was strangley tasteless! We and ours will never EVER re-visit this place again!!!

recently visited the restaurant with family. Although this is not a particularly cheap place to eat,portions are humongous ie steaks up to 80ozs which are free if you can eat it all.T bone steaks and mixed grills are like something out of a cave-man movie. Even the smallest burger was 8oz. The staff were very friendly and I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially those with a big apatite. I will certainly be visiting here on my next trip to Ingoldmells. Booking is not required but advisable.
