The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving British food

A huge dining hall, very loud and dark. The staff was nice, but had little time due to the many guests. The prosecco was ice cold and tasty. Unfortunately the red wine was served too warm. The very tasty bread, served with oil and butter, had to be paid for extra. Allergies were well addressed. All of our meat was well done, but was accompanied by an indefinable taste. The “greens” we ordered were rather disappointing. Invoiced: Price-performance absolutely not ok.

The staff were very attentive. Would regularly ask how we were if we needed anything else. The piano playing in the surroundings brought a nice ambience to the meal. The food was lovely quality. Small portion sizes but makes up in the quality of food and regular fresh warm bread is served throughout the evening on request. Overall very nice experience.

Definitely one of the best pubs in Edinburgh. We had good beers and ate tasty food. A must try for everyone. Also the service have been perfect.

Amazing restaurant—never had a bad meal! Used to come with friends, now it's a regular date spot. The beef with snails is a favorite, and we always enjoy pairing our go-to dishes with seasonal specials.

I got vibriosis from eating the oysters at the oyster bar. DO NOT EAT

Excellent views and a beautiful interior garden. You can see they take care of the plants. The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is that you have to wait to use the restrooms because there aren't many for the number of people they recieve, and they also smell bad.

Went here on the advice of a bike tour guide, enjoyed a delicious Scottish lunch after the bike tour. Great!!

varied choice for all. had to wait 20mins for our table which was booked in advance ,this appears to be a feature at blantyre as happened before and thought would hive benefitof doubt .staff pleasant.food hot and decent portion size .but really noisy,between music in background and close proximity of tables could hear the conversation for group beside us .Will not be back for dinner as the noise level off putting

I came here during a work trip and everything about it was amazing, the food was super delicious and the staff were great.

Really nice fish n chips,it's even got a licensed restaurant in the back.
