Gone downhill now new owners have taken over, previous long term employees now left aswell due to bullying....Shame! My son being one who's still owed holiday pay which has been passed on to ACAS. New owners tries to say old owners owe it.....you own the business the business owes him!

I’m a childminder and for many years have visited the wacky warehouse on a weekly basis with the children . I’m always greeted by friendly staff but in particular I would like to mention a member of staff by the name of Becky who myself and the children always look forward to seeing . She goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome always interacting with the children , making us a a coffee .Not only is she always on the go but the wacky warehouse is always spotless and organized when we visit . The children know her by name and always look forward to seeing her . This is one of the reasons we enjoy coming weekly .

I felt compelled to write a review as the previous negative reviews do seem to be inspired by Islington/North London style hypocrisy/entitlement, notoriously associated with the looney gauche (coincidently and most appropriately also the word for lacking in good grace). The exterior and window display is very appealing and has the ‘kerb appeal’ you need, however it is from this very point, that the signs (in every sense of the word) are obvious. Virtually all notices, including food descriptions, names and the ‘house rules’ are indeed written on brown paper bags, which in any (Islington/North London style establishment) would be hailed as ‘retro’ and ‘rustic’. They do heavily emphasise that this establishment is NOT self service and any normal person would ‘connect the dots’ and so begin to read what they all say, if nothing else to establish what the offerings are. It is not really quantum physics to work it all out, with a little patience and indeed consideration for others. I, read, studied, waited and then ordered a ‘Hog’ sausage roll, a muffin, a huge hot cross bun and a ham and tomato sandwich/large roll. The total came to just over £20. To support a local enterprise, that is worth it. The Hog sausage roll was absolutely lovely, well spiced, pastry perfect and the meat tasty. The muffin, though perhaps a little burnt, was beautifully soft inside and had some lovely fruity bits. The Hot Cross bun was stunning. Twice the size at least, of supermarket bought and wonderfully soft inside, fruity with a really nice, almost fondant like, cross. The sandwich roll was perhaps the least successful of the items, but even so, only as it was lacking in florid and a little basic. It also did have perhaps too much butter. The sole points from the negative reviewers I would agree with are that the owner/lady is perhaps a little ‘matter of fact’ but frankly with the hypocrisy/entitlement of the negative reviewers, most people would get frustrated (the customer is NOT always right) and the other point is regarding payment. This is where the cost/charged amount is not announced, which is not great, but there again, one could ask!!! The ‘magic window’ is an understandable work around due to connectivity and frankly allows for a swift exit. Overall, would I visit again? YES. Would I recommend? YES. Just be considerate!!!

I’m a wheelchair user. Lots of access parking near the doors. I went in for food. A McDonalds. Fast order and they brought over to the table for my me. Clean, bright, busy. Food standard McD fare.

Pasé aquí de camino a casa desde Dorking ayer para un descanso cómodo. Normalmente paramos en Leigh Delamare como el deber nos llame. Los baños para mujeres en particular estaban sucios, olorosos y repugnantes. Ninguna de las puertas del inodoro cerradas y las marcas en las paredes del cubículo parecían no haber sido limpiadas durante días. Mi compañero dijo que los caballeros eran iguales. Por lo tanto, no compramos nada aquí, ya que esto nos aplazó. Entiendo que estaba ocupado pero no había estándares.

Went for Sunday carvery and I’m not usually a big carvery fan but this was lovely. There was 3 types of meat turkey beef and gammon. I had turkey and beef. Nice choice of vegetables stuffing and Yorkshire puddings which unlike toby carvery you could have more one and could go back for more of them and the vegetables. The gravy was lovely meat gravy. One of our party had food from the other menu and had surf and turf which he said was lovely and the chips were homemade chips not frozen ones. All 4 of us really enjoyed our meals. Staff were lovely and friendly too

Un personal tan amable y servicial una rareza hoy! Bonito pub lejos de las multitudes. Tomamos unas copas y un asado sencillo pero bien cocinado. Justo lo que necesitábamos.

Took my mum and sisters there for afternoon tea. The food was fabulous and the service was really friendly, we really felt that the staff cared and wanted us to enjoy our experience. I think the lady's name was Tracey who prepared the food and checked on us, she was amazing. We had a non-gluten tea and heritage teas and had more than enough food, all of which was fresh and tasty. Will definitely be back, thank you.

The place is quite beautiful: a very elegant and charming place. Service is quite good (well-manered albeit too slow) even on a very busy evening. Wine list is interesting and nice, with special offers on well chosen items (a very decent Bandol that evening), But, food… not quite what it should be. It is poor and not matching expectations. Too few ingredients. Frugal and stingy wishes in every ways. Flavours too vague. No shape, no sharpness. In other words: lots of room for improvement. Yet not an awful evening at all but not sure I’ll go there to eat again—having drinks is nice and good enough.

We shared a large breakfast and nothing was too much trouble. Very friendly staff. Great food and hot drinks. We will be back!

We came to this place to celebrate a big win, and it turned out to be one of the worst experiences ever. What made it horrible was the clear racism and bias they showed towards us. One staff member in particular stood out for their unprofessionalism, openly talking about us and pointing fingers to another table while we were sitting right there. It was shocking. It was supposed to be a joyful celebration, but the atmosphere created by the staff was hostile and completely unprofessional. No one should be treated like that, regardless of who they are or where they’re from. We will NEVER come back here again. Absolutely appalling behavior. Avoid this place if you value respect and decent service.

Needs a visit from food standard agency. This place is unhygienic and dirty. The staff will not clean the tables people have to do it themselves which isn’t ideal because the tables will need to be wiped clean and disinfected before anybody sits down to eat, the cutlery is always dirty with food particles, the staff hygiene is the worse, people making drinks will be drinking their own drinks and wiping their mouth while making drinks for customers, the other one was making bread and butter and she dropped the knife, picked it up and carried on, one of them were all over the pastries while playing with their trousers for whatever reason. The chef stuck his head in the gap between front and back kitchen and put a plate of hot food that looked like breakfast itched his head and fixed the eggs it’s horrible I wouldn’t want to be the person eating that. One had a runny nose and although used a tissue he didn’t wash his hands in between making drinks. Sadly I saw all of this after I ordered my food/drink so I left as when I tried to cancel my order it was a problem, rude staff the list goes on…avoid.

I stopped here after a visit to my daughter at Bournemouth uni. A great little stop to refuel and grab a couple of snacks. Clean and tidy, friendly staff and in a convenient location. A great little services.

Nice clean dog friendly space. Staff very attentive. Food though left much to be desired. The piece of fish on the fish and chips meal was tiny and pretty tasteless. Never worth the money paid. Won't be rushing back.

Perfectly decent for a chain pub. Two nations for £18 makes it good value, with kids meal deals. We fed a family of 6 for less than £10 a head with drinks. It's definitely the kind of place where you're better off on the grill because that's what they do most regularly.
