Not sure what it's like at a weekend but it's really quiet on a weekday always running out of beer.

Completely uninviting place, came here with afew newly turned 18 friends and because of how young we looked got told to leave. We provided id to the workers and they decided to kick us out anyway. Food isn’t nice either.

Very poor atmosphere , stained seats a a large group of youngsters blatently smoking ‘strange stuff’ outside whilst playing pool and with the back doors open this drifting into the pub. The pub has gone down hill drastically which explains why it was dead at 8pm on a saturday.

Nice people. Although seemed inexperienced which is fine everyone has to start somewhere. Long wait for order to be taken, had starters ideally toddler meal should have been brought when ordered with the starters. The toddler meal was forgotten and came when everyone else had finished! Extremely long wait between starter and main. Adult meals brought out first kids waiting getting narky! The food was ok, gammon way too salty. Only one dessert option!!! Part of meal payment was given and staff presumed no desserts were going to be ordered and so came over asking if we were ready to settle the payment. Can partly understand this but it did make us feel we had to leave. I do think the place would benefit from a few experienced staff to lead the way then it would be a cracking place.

Not been in this pub for a few years but dropped some charity gear off for the charity day . Staff a young barmaid very polite very friendly no complaints from myself the pub is very spacious very nicely set out I stayed for a few pints very chilled & I hoping to call back . To say they do food it smelled delicious was making me hungry so maybe next time but yes I would definitely give it a try . Pool available plus outdoor area magic

The pub side of things I couldn't fault, but the kitchen was an absolute joke, waited an hour and twenty minutes for our food, wish I could say it was worth the wait but it wasn't it was dreadful, the 2 young ladies couldn't apologise enough we got free dessert for the wait, think the manager needs to pop in bottomley Arms ask them how its done wont be coming back here will drive further and go to bottomley Arms

Fantastic little gem of pub! We were looking for somewhere for a proper cozy dinner as the weather outside was grim! Then we stumbled upon this absolute goldmine! Staff couldn't help us enough, and we were greeted with open arms when we arrived! The food was absolutely beautiful, and very reasonably priced! Our little fella had fish and chips, which was priced at a fiver! (fantastic price for kids meals) the fish was freshly battered and was inhaled by the boss! And to our surprise he got an ice cream with it! The pie was a beautiful generous portion and so was the lamb! Will definitely be going back to this pub again! The lady at the bar and the cook were absolutely fantastic and lovely to us!

Unfriendly staff really awful food avoid go to Duke William or Duke of York if you want decent food

Popped in for a spontaneous Sunday roast, served really quickly and food delivered quickly. Really good value, the gammon was delicious. Served by Josh who was really helpful and friendly. will be back!

Visited your establishment yesterday for your funday , we had an elderly aunt with us in a wheelchair and found no ramp was fitted so with help from some lovely people we managed to get her up the steps , but was no easy task ,now correct me if i am wrong but doesnt every business have to make it accessible for the disabled

The landlord in this place goes above and beyond, think he's called Ben. He knows how to clean a table!

Gutted, waited over a hour & half for food, they apologized for getting tickets mixed up then brought out the wrong pizza, wife's pasta was in a inch of water & kids burgers was like Yorkshire stone. Very dissapointed

Recently had a wake here. The pub was very well organised and the catering was lovely. All staff were very polite and friendly. Would highly recommend this pub for functions or to pop in for a drink.

Nice pub with good offers across the bar and fab service. Free pool over Christmas to get in the Xmas and new year spirit and TV near pool table with the football on. Plenty of seats and tables and very well lit up.

A good place for a quiet pint. Pool table and sports games on TV. Friendly staff but I haven't eaten here.

Fantastic day here for our post wedding tea party. Wayne and Kathryn couldn't have been more helpful. Truly Scrumptious catering was outstanding. Bubblez and Bounce inflatable disco dome was great.

Not sure why this place is not constantly rammed full of people?! Two meals for £7.50 and the food is fantastic. Curries, pies, gammon and also steak nights - pop down you will not be disappointed!

My partner and I visited the shoulder of Mutton Friday after noticing a sign outside advertising thiafood restaurant I have to say the service we recieved was exceptional. The bar staff made us feel more than welcome. The atmosphere and decor of the place was lovely. After a couple of drinks. We took a look at the menu and decided to eat the restaurant is set back and very cosy. The food was of exceptionally high standard as was the service. We would definitely recommend to all our friends and family and we will be. Visiting again very soon. ThAnkyou to all the staff for making our visit such a pleasurable one.

So, we decided to pop in this pub for the 1st time expecting the usual "pub grub" and what we discovered was amazing. Hidden away to one side was a dedicated Thai restaurant! We all had 2 courses which were served quickly and were all out of this world! You could really see and taste that the chef took great pleasure in creating some fantastic authentic Thai cuisine. Not too expensive and well worth a visit. We will definitely be returning to this hidden gem! Sorry I didn't take any more pictures, this was my starter

Now under new management ..fantastic host..family friendley as its the only establishment around with childrens play area and the beer garden is lovely ..live entertainment every friday ..well worth a visit

well it's changed management a few times in the 6 years I've lived nearby. I only go there for the food and this one (management) seems the best. Great food and great portion sizes, completely stuffed last visit, no space for pudding!!
