Spontaneous Wednesday night dinner out. We are regulars and haven’t faulted it up to now. Husband’s chicken and fries were fine. My steak was absolutely disgusting. Awful cut and cooked dreadfully! Staff were friendly enough and the manager took £5 off as a goodwill gesture. Unfortunately, we won’t be visiting for a while!

Had an amazing dinner experience from Chloe who was brilliant with my 2 girls, soon as we arrived she was attentive and asked if they wanted some colours and colouring pages, when she brought food out she interacted with my 2 girls brilliantly, she is a very good member of staff couldn’t of asked for a better server

We were a large group on a busy Saturday night which is always a challenge but the service we received was of such a high standard, felt more like a higher end restaurant, Elisha dealt with our group with professionalism and expertise, really adding to our enjoyment. The food was excellent too, generous portions and value for money, we mostly ordered the Saturday special £10 per meal all cooked to perfection by chefs Tom, Josh and Corey. Thank you.

Great pub and great staff especially Sarah who always gives a lovely welcome and great service! I have been many times as I enjoy it there.

We came into the restaurant after the children had a play in the play area. We all had something different and everyone really enjoyed their food. It was pipping hot and really tasty. I had the Vegan burger and it was so good. The price also for a family going to eat there was very very reasonable and affordable. Our server Celine was also really lovely chatty polite and pleasant, we asked for the Chefs name too, Corey as we wanted to leave a review for both. Thanks for a lovely dinning experience.

Brought the kids to the wacky warehouse, Brooke who served us informed us of the summer passes which we can use through the summer.

Brought the family for a meal and the kids had a play in thw wacky warehouse, Brooke is amazing and tried to offer her a customer service job but niclet declined. But honestly the staff are so helpful and friendly.

Got served a John Smiths eventually after being left waiting while other customers who came in after me got served first. It wasn't worth waiting for. The pint was full of froth to within an inch of the bottom of the glass it was so badly poured. It made me feel sickly in the evening, I believe it was not right. Place had less than a handful of customers, one who was extremely rude and causing trouble being obnoxious. The bar maid was really unwelcoming but offered me a taste of the Abbots which just tasted peculiar and weird and chemically to me. Barmaid is nosey and ear wigs and puts her two pennies worth in when not needed. The place has multiple screens around the pub showing football matches that nobody was interested in watching that day. Poor selection of beers on offer. I have been told the food isn't any good too. Sounds like it hasn't changed much since I went in for a Birthday meal with a friend years ago and had poor food and extremely slow service. The Steak was tough and unappetizing with a miniscule amount of chips and vegetables. Bar lady that took the order was horrible carrying on about I treated her Mother badly and yet I don't even know her mother and she wouldn't even say what it was that I was supposed to have done. Very unprofessional service. Doesn't make me feel like I want to go back. No atmosphere in that place last two visits. Only beer you can get is John Smiths and Abbot. They really need to extend their range of beers and get some bands playing at the weekend.

On Saturday the 17th of February myself my partner and friend who was visiting went out for dinner and we went to the unicorn pub in coventry which is part of the hungry horse chain .over the last couple of months we have visited this chain and been served raw fish we have been refused service after booking in advance we have been invited back for a revisit and still the service was not provided these were all at different pubs in this chain .we visited the unicorn entered the car park plenty of parking available and the pub was well lit up on entering the pub we were welcomed by a very pleasant young lady and we asked for a table for three we were seated and we ordered the heating was warm and we asked if the radiator by us could be turned down the lady adjusted it straight away. We ordered our food and drinks when our meals arrived the meals were well presented and portions that were stated on the menu and the meal tasted as good as the presentation of the food all the food was cooked to perfection the lady who was serving us was outstanding and the service from the bar staff was fantastic I requested to speak to the manager when the manager attended the bar I congratulated her on her service and please pass on the compliment to all her staff I would definitely return to this pub one thing I would recommend it that the other hungry horses in coventry looked at how the unicorn conducts its customer service and standards and the other pubs in the chain follow their lead then we may have more than one amazing pub in the hungry horse chain to dine at Once again congratulations to the unicorn team in coventry

We come here quite regularly now and I can always say the food is spot on every time. My daughter had a bump in the wacky beforehand, the staff were so helpful and made sure she was okay. Will always recommend the unicorn.

Manager started to give up a show because of the lack of food in the kitchen to attend us. Some friends had to go to another PUB.

I worked in this pub 36 years ago and have a strong connection with it having visited many times over the years. I have worked in other pubs since and have a good understanding of excellent service and striving to exceed customer expectations. I see it on a business brand level but it has been an extremely long time since I’ve been that taken aback from the individual efforts of a member of staff. This young lady was over to serve me immediately, her level of focus on aiming for perfect service was second to none. I also observed that once the bar area was quiet, she was immediately looking for other areas which might need her attention including, clearing tables, generally tidying areas which had been recently vacated, checking with customers to ensure they had everything they needed and even checking the washroom areas to ensure the cleanliness was upto scratch and that hand cleaners and tissue were not running out. I often see good and very good service but excellent service is extremely rare so very well done Meg. I’m aware you are quite new with the team at the Unicorn and I do hope you’re natural talent and efforts are recognised because you definitely have the ability to manage staff and service at a very high level. Ten out or ten and I look forward to seeing you next time we visit. This is coming from a company owner who employs staff 😊

We visit the wacky wherehouse regularly & the staff in there are always welcoming and helpful especially sarah went out of her way to make sure are kids had a great time. Sarah is a credit to the company

A massive improvement. The staff are friendly, attentive and customer focussed. No more waiting for staff having a chat to tear themselves away to serve customers. Well trained, friendly staff whose priority seems to be ‘The customer’. We stopped using the pub after almost having to beg to be served! We will patronise this great pub while this service is maintained. Well done to the current licensee who is well respected by the locals. Keep it up 👍
