A very friendly and homely pub. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I love going their on Tuesday for the bingo and we occasionally go just for a drink.

Parents seem more excited than the kids, so they are noisy, adding to the charm.

I started coming here because I couldn’t bring my work colleagues to my previous local because it wasn’t quite the right setting the brilliant thing with the maudsley is it caters for everyone with a large front terrace big garden for the kids a large restaurant and bar and alder a snug for tradesmen who just want to have a laugh and a joke highly recommend

Visited for a catch up with the girls, lovely clean venue with friendly staff and the regulars were welcoming. The service was great, food was lovely and had all the usual drinks available.

Went for food and a little drink on Saturday. Food was very nice and very very well priced. Came out hot and in excellent time (about 13mins). Had a “few” ciders, and really enjoyed them. Staff were very very pleasant and and interacted with our kids too. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Well done all at The Maudsley.

Love the Maudslay all the staff are fantastic , we come at least three times a week , the service is quick and the food is fantastic

Came in for a few ciders and ended up having food as it smelt so good , I opted for the steak and chicken and the missus had fish and chips . The plate was sizzling and all food was piping hot , the staff are great and even interacted with the children. Top marks team !

Great food and entertainment. I had food and a nice surprise to see bingo. Sports on all the TVs. Would recommend. Edit: went again this week... Went again and boom bingo was there again... Great atmosphere and a laugh to be honest... Had a steak with rib... Awesome with the peppercorn sauce. Worth a visit... Even had the cricket on bonus for me :)

UPDATE Thank you for taking the time to respond. As I say in my review, would have been preferable if the member of staff had just approached us and asked for ID and explained that the pub has its own rules separate from UK law. I would have respected that which is why I came in to ask politely and was faced with attitude and told I'm wrong about the law. To be spoken to with attitude, talked-about behind our backs and watched out the window just made us feel uncomfortable and as if we were some kind of reprobates. Incidentally my son has a disability which has delayed his development but at 5ft 7in with facial hair I don't think he looks under 13 and I'm even more insulted you would think I'd give a pint to a young child espescially we've been in numerous times and are good people. Nice to know i actually look like the type of mother who would give booze to a 12 year old 👍👍👍 wow ***** A bit disappointed about the customer service at this pub today. Staff attitude was extremely poor. Attended the pub with friend, her granddaughter and my 16 year old son for food and drinks for his birthday. As its his 16th birthday I thought I'd treat him to a pint of cider. UK law states that a 16/17 year old may drink beer, wine or cider with a meal in a licensed premises. On re-entering the pub I walked into a barmaid bitching to the manager about me. At no point did she approach me and ask for id. We then were subject of stares and finger pointing. It was obvious to other patrons as one came and gave me the heads up. I commented how ridiculous that they wouldn't have the decency to just speak to me. I appreciate their license. So I sanity checked the law (I'm a professional who works within children's law) and found I was correct. But I still respect the venues rules so thought I'd be the bigger person and address the issue. The attitude of the barmaid was very poor. She said its illegal to drink alcohol under 18 (not true). I explained the actual law. She said i must be thinking of Spain (no love UK LAW). I suggested that she could have just approached me. I'm hardly a hardened criminal (I'm a children's social worker by profession). She was very rude and patronising. My son didn't drink the drink. None of the childish talking behind my back was necessary and it just ruined a nice evening.

On Wednesday me and my partner went for lunch at the Maudslay, the food was lovely and very quickly served to us, the staff were lovely and the atmosphere was amazing! I will definitely be coming again.

This pub is a great stop to me for eirther a full night out or even somewhere to meet your friends, the staff are friendly and take note of your order no matter who is behind the bar, the beer and selection other drinks is fantastic, i will definitely be returning

Went for just a drink but ended up with a snack too we both had gyro raps was very nice taste of Greece with a healthy amount of chicken and salad was served in around 15 minutes by lovely barmaid padge she always recommends the most perfect meals for me and my husband she also shown me how to use the sizzling app and helped me learn how to do click and collect orders to make my workdays more enjoyable

On my first visit to the maudsley i found the bar staff to be very friendly and aprochable, i was served very quickly and and my pint was to a good standard, i will definitely return.

I finished up with two Long Island iced tea as what’s a day out without a Long Island. All in all top evening will deffo be back and would highly recommended to any a pub connoisseur like myself.

Visited on the 12th for a birthday meal with family and friends we had a great time food was delicious

Food was horrible reheated chips pie was over cooked mashed was cold I was very disappointed as I took my grand daughters for a treat it was more like a punishment last time I was there I had a burnt lasagna cook is to handy with the microwave

Always enjoy coming to this friendly, well run pub. I came to the Maudslay the other day for food and drinks with friends and enjoyed every minute of it, food was great (you have to try the BBQ Beef Ribs) and the staff, as always, where excellent. Service was delivered with a smile and the staff are always happy to answer any questions and accommodate a few small changes to our meals. Great selection of drinks at the bar and the real ales are highly recommended as they are always top quality and obviously looked after very well. Well done to the whole team, looking forward to my next visit already.

I went for my brothers birthday for a family meal. There was 12 of us in attendance and 7 of the 12 meals came out incorrectly (wrong food, not the correct food on the plate as the order amd other issues). We also ordered 2 sizzling meals from a sizzling pub and none of them came out sizzling. At this point we had already returned 3 meals so we didn't want to return another 2 and wait for a recook of them meals. We booked a week in advance so they new they would have a large order coming in. Absolutely unacceptable. By the time my food came I had lost all appetite and ended up not eating my burger anyway. Definitely will not be returning to this pub again.

Birthday celebration fish and chips highly recommended. Waited nearly an hour had to remind them. They seemed stressed.

Excellent venue for a 60th Birthday ,very large room upstairs with extra room for buffet ,good size car park .

Exceptionally rude temporary manager tonight. Shouting at regulars to drink up and leave 15 mins after last orders. Should do better hospitality can't take customers for granted these days.Plenty of alternative venues.

This visit with my mother, wife, and mother in law was an absolute joke from the start. First, you could not order any 8 oz steaks, they had none, along with a few other things (they even have a board listing them!!!). We were told there was a 25-minute wait for food at ordering , fine , but it turned into an hour plus, all the time listening to people get cold food! When ours arrived, and with some relief, it was hot, but one order was completely wrong! When we questioned the waitress delivering our purchased food we were l greeted with an abundance of attitude, even though she agreed it was her fault as she had taken the order in the first place. She did offer to re-order the wrong meal, but only after we had paid the additional few £'s in advance, but I didn't fancy the wait again. The quality was low, my Mums 5 oz steak was like boot leather and unedable, her chicken (part of a combo) was creamted with in an inch of recognition. The staff are ill trained and attitudinal and there are too few of them staff available to cope with the level of customers. Suffice to say will not be returning in the near or distant future!

Your typical Sizzling pub, but with some rather strange customers. Decent food at reasonable prices and friendly staff. It has plenty of parking at the side and rear of the pub just remember to enter your vehicle registration into the pub's system.

Pub was very clean and well kept, Just had drinks while passing which were spot on, was here about an hour and a half and throughout this staff were polite,friendly and welcoming

First of all I have to say that I cannot fault the staff , cleanliness and ambience of the pub. My only complaint is the food. Me and a friend went for a meal a couple of weeks ago. She had fish and chips ( not a hard meal to cook I would have thought? ) her chips were not cooked in the middle. My lasagne was completely tasteless and there appeared to be no bechamel sauce on the top?? It looked like maybe grated cheese then grilled?? Bit of a half hearted attempt … Dissapointed…

We had a reasonable time at The Maudslay. The staff are friendly. There is a fair selection of wines, beers and spirits and a reasonable food menu. A word of advice; if you use the car park at The Maudslay, JUST BE VERY CAREFUL. Remember to put your car registration onto the tablet in the bar area, otherwise you will be fined!

Probably the pub I've been to the most. Staff are nice, it's not too loud and it's pretty cheap, plus the food is above average for a sizzler or whatever the owner are.

We have come for a family meal with my nan due to her feeling down as well as my birthday meal. We was given a warm greeting and sat near the frount door. Look very festive and was not to busy. We ordered theee steak meals and all was cooked to perfection. And they all melted in our mouths. Chips was amazing and I had scampi with mine and it was amazing. A gentleman at the bar was lovely offered us his 20% discount and free pudding vouchers that really helped. So we had pudding. I had the banoffee cheese cake this was lovely and again melted in my mouth the kids had a brownie and ice cream and loved it my nan had a Elton mess and as big as it was eat the lot !! Very happy from start to finish with our drinks and meal staff was lovely all enjoyed a laugh and was made to feel right at home. So glad I’m have in my wedding here on the 9th of December.

This pub isnt my local but it is my go-to. The atmosphere from the staff and from the people ive met and bumped into in the pub, its a nice easy place to be and enjoy. I suppose the food and the drinks are worth a mention too haha. Always enjoy our visits. Fully recommend.

Amazing family friendly pub, all food came out within 20 minutes of ordering and all still hot. Great value for kids meals with kids eat for £1 on week days.
