Rose & Crown in Coventry

I had beer battered fish and chips : the batter did not have a good colour and was soggy with oil, very disappointing.

I would beat a child for another steak and I got called a "Naughty little biscuit" by a regular. 10/10 experiance

Came here today for lunch. 1st time in years. Food was excellent. Prices were reasonable. Jamie who served us was lovely. Place & tables was clean. Definitely will be back again. 5☆ Thank you.

First visit here for food. I must give an honest review and I can only say EXCELLENT!. The staff were amazing, polite and courteous and very efficient! Our food was cooked perfectly and the portions were generous. The wait time was minimal(10 minutes) and well worth it. Our waitress was SO HELPFUL and made it an excellent experience. The ambience is a little tired but,dont let that deter you from this little gem. Highly recommended!

Great local pub/bar, tons of events and offers on, definitely download the Greene king sport app as discounted drinks on at match times Food served all day and good pub selection. Jamie behind the bar is a credit to the business, couldn't be more attentive. Only criticism would be the cloudy windows are abit of an eye sore and lack of parking spaces, becomes a real issue on busy nights.

Really impressed with our first visit here. We were a group of 12 with most of us ordering the 2 for £11.99 meals - great value for money! Good portions of freshly cooked food. Service was fab 👌 special thanks to Jamie, Landa, Willow and Kyra.

Great night at the Rose and Crown. Service was amazing and the atmosphere was superb. Jamie and Carys were excellent attending everybody’s needs on a busy night. There was a pool match on in the local league and all seemed to have an awesome time.

They serve delicious dishes. We have become regular customers thanks to the delicious food and dessert. The waiter(tress) are kind and always ready to help.

In the last few days I visited the Rose & Crown with some work friends for a meal and some drinks. I just feel it worth highlighting how attentive and welcoming the staff were during our stay. Despite the pub being particularly busy at this time, we were more than looked after. We will, without a doubt, be returning in the future when our work group have out next outing.

We havent been here for a while, we decided to try it tonight for food and a catch-up. We had steak and it was wonderful. Cooked just as we like it and a decent portion of all the other elements on the plate. We will be back. Thank you.

Very nice pub, staff were all very friendly and helpful. Areas were all clean and well looked after. Kayla was super friendly and helpful! Only problem we had was there was a sauce on the gluten free menu, that when we tried to order, we were informed they couldn’t guarantee it was gluten free. If things are on a gluten free menu, there shouldn’t be any worry it might contain gluten. Obviously not the staff’s fault, but something that should be looked into!

Came here to get drinks and food for a friend's birthday. Kayla's service was brilliant made all of our drinks perfectly and checked on us during our meal. All around bubbly personality and very friendly. Would cone back in the future

We love the rose and crown. The staff are so friendly and welcoming to us. Love the fact that dogs are allowed so we regularly take our Franco with us. Alfie our grandson always asked to go too. Loves playing pool there.

Hemos estado yendo aquí por poco más de 10 años. Venimos principalmente los viernes por la noche para cenar y nunca nos han decepcionado. Un gran menú y algunas ofertas fabulosas. Excelentes cervezas y super personal. Caroline el jefe es encantador y siempre está a mano. No tenemos absolutamente ninguna queja sobre este pub.

Great time with friends, went for the burger meal deal, totally worth it! Staff were pleasant and polite always with a smile on their face, massive shout out to the Portuguese behind the bar, and the chef! We will definitely be coming back.

A little quiet for a Saturday teatime. Good service pleasant staff

My son, husband and myself went for an early dinner. Staff were really polite, yet friendly. Felt more like we were friends than just customers. Food was quick, hot and tasty. Accidentally got something wrong on the order, but was rectified straight away and had a sincere apology. Sports on the TV, sound loud enough to listen and watch, but not too loud that if you wasn’t interested, you could easily tune it out. Excellent experience.

Friday night drinks......expected it to be busy and friendly....but it was almost empty apart from drunk chavs and kids.....stay away.......atmosphere was bad

Met some ex-colleagues here for a meal. The food was great as always. I had the Sirloin Steak platter, the meat was cooked perfectly and not at all tough. There were a few blokes there effing and blinding which spoilt the atmosphere a bit. Maybe the eating area could be separated from the drinking area?

Arriving at the rose and crown you are welcomed by a warm atmosphere. After placing your orders food time is quick and taste delicious from sides to mains to dessert everything is enjoyable, great for kids and adults, dates ect. I’d like to thank Jamie for great service and a enjoyable time here, great sense of humour while keeping it friendly and professional I would highly recommend this establish

We are half way through the EUROs right now, each England game so far having been watched whilst in the Rose & Crown Coventry - not too far from my home. I just want to quickly emphasize the consistency and attentiveness of the staff as a unit. But one or two members in particular. Eliza and Anna (apologies if any misspelling there) were, as always it seems, on the ball time in/time out! They do deserve a special mention and are credits to the Rose and Crown!

Food amazing and service quick and friendly

Over cooked fish with cold chips and mushy peas had no taste. Also the presentation was not as good as usual. The portion size was more like an old age pension deal size. Not up to the usual high standard.

I had a Turkey Sunday lunch. Processed turkey, gross!! dried Yorkshire puddings and no cranberry sauce, now that is a sin. Warm plates, warm food, which went cold quite quickly. The staff, I am no racist at all, however, the staff chose to speak to each other in their mother tongue, that's fine, but their conversation was more important to them than serving someone waiting at the bar to order. I won't be going back there.

The landlady 'Caroline' and her staff are pleasant and friendly. Food is generally OK and the service is good. A good pub to watch sports.
