Arriving at the rose and crown you are welcomed by a warm atmosphere. After placing your orders food time is quick and taste delicious from sides to mains to dessert everything is enjoyable, great for kids and adults, dates ect. I’d like to thank Jamie for great service and a enjoyable time here, great sense of humour while keeping it friendly and professional I would highly recommend this establish

We are half way through the EUROs right now, each England game so far having been watched whilst in the Rose & Crown Coventry - not too far from my home. I just want to quickly emphasize the consistency and attentiveness of the staff as a unit. But one or two members in particular. Eliza and Anna (apologies if any misspelling there) were, as always it seems, on the ball time in/time out! They do deserve a special mention and are credits to the Rose and Crown!

This place is amazing! I love spending my time playing pool with my mates and the staff are really friendly and they pour nice pints specially Elisa, Ana ,Liam and Jamie. They have nice joke and no sarcastic at all! Brilliant xx 100 recommend it !

Over cooked fish with cold chips and mushy peas had no taste. Also the presentation was not as good as usual. The portion size was more like an old age pension deal size. Not up to the usual high standard.

I had a Turkey Sunday lunch. Processed turkey, gross!! dried Yorkshire puddings and no cranberry sauce, now that is a sin. Warm plates, warm food, which went cold quite quickly. The staff, I am no racist at all, however, the staff chose to speak to each other in their mother tongue, that's fine, but their conversation was more important to them than serving someone waiting at the bar to order. I won't be going back there.

The landlady 'Caroline' and her staff are pleasant and friendly. Food is generally OK and the service is good. A good pub to watch sports.

Nice place for a cold pint in a spring afternoon.

Service was a bit slow due to the fact it was busy, food came out hot and was nice, they did get 1 of our orders wrong but as I said the place was really busy and it wasn't that much of a mistake that it really bothered us so we didn't complain, the staff were lovely, really friendly kept one of our parties food warm while she had to run out on an emergency which was really good of them. Overall we really enjoyed it.

Lovely food, good portion size, staff very friendly. Could do with a couple more vegetarian options on the grill/burger but a good selection overall nonetheless ans very tasty. Recommend the halloumi flatbreas so nice!

We spent Easter Sunday evening having a meal and some drinks. The food was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is very friendly. The staff are very friendly and helpful and a large selection of food and drink.

We’ve eaten here a couple of times and it’s consistently good. This visit was no exception. Service was absolutely great, food tasty and atmosphere jovial. It’s a solid choice for a tasty visit or for watching sport! What really makes the pub is the lovely approachable staff.

In the last few days I visited the Rose & Crown with some work friends for a meal and some drinks. I just feel it worth highlighting how attentive and welcoming the staff were during our stay. Despite the pub being particularly busy at this time, we were more than looked after. We will, without a doubt, be returning in the future when our work group have out next outing. Josh

Me and my friends came to watch the football and raise a glass or two for st Patrick’s day. For a very very busy pub, I feel it worth highlighting how attentive and proactive the staff were throughout. In particular Elisa and Ana were smiling the entire time - definitely coming back for our next few beers !!!

Came for dinner to celebrate mother's day and my nan's 82nd birthday, and were met with a rowdy group of men and a loud quiz taking place. We were barely able to hear each other speak, and all we could hear was loud music, and men shouting and swearing. The pub also seemed disorganised as there was no table reserved for us despite having a booking. We were planning on buying dessert, but chose to leave after our mains as the atmosphere was horrendous. We expected much better for 6pm on mother's day.

Always a great pint and perfect service from Ana and Elisa, bingo on Tuesdays is a great laugh always a good atmosphere here

Thursday night meal with friends in a soulless pub which used to be heaving. Staff couldn't care less, if you could find one. Food missing items and had to ask to get them. Bar deserted when getting drink refill. Don't bother. Food wasn't that good either.

This pub used to be a thriving, busy pub serving decent food in years gone by. We visited with friends for the first time in a few years as we no longer live in the area. It is noticeable that the place has declined alarmingly over that time. It was a Thursday night and the place was almost deserted. We ordered our meals which arrived in reasonable time but it has to be said they weren't great. Certainly not up to the standard of other Greene King pubs we have visited. The sizzling platters didn't sizzle and one had items missing, which were brought halfway through the meal after it was raised with staff. Quality and presentation was uninspiring. Steaks were overcooked, and everyone said the pots of peas served were completely inedible. A complete lack of pride in what food left the kitchen. The main issue seems to be lack of staff. When we tried to get more drinks, there was literally nobody serving at the bar. We stood for over 10 minutes with no staff in sight. Eventually a girl came from one of the customer tables where she had been sitting with her friend playing with her phone. "I was on my break" was her excuse. Such apathetic customer service is quite extraordinary when there were customers waiting. I wonder how Greene King regard such lazy, appalling service. Even when she did serve us, she poured the wrong drinks as she was clearly not bothering to listen to the order, so two half-pulled pints went to waste. Needless to say we shall not be giving the Rose & Crown a second chance. Neither the food nor the staff make this a pub worth visiting.

I ordered the ribeye and was very very disappointed with it. It was a lump of gristle, hard to cut through, hard to chew and in no way resembled any ribeye I have ever had before. The quality was worse than a rump and I would feel guilty if I served it to a dog. The server tried to help but was told by the kitchen they had no replacement steaks. Other than that I was surprised to see feral children running around and screaming well after they should legally have been off the premises.

Popped into the pub today to meet some friends. I had a rump steak to eat while waiting it was it was cooked beautifully just to my liking the chef came to check if everything was ok. which it was the bar staff was very friendly nice the only thing I would say was it's very pricey for the drinks

Disappointed not a friendly staff honestly I have been there for lots of times but I don't feel any good hospitality despite paying lots of money I am not going there anymore staffs are rude .

Went to the Rose and Crown for a Christmas meal and bingo night. Three course meal was very good and served promptly. Roast vegetable soup was delicious and turkey was served with all the trimmings. Very impressed. Gingerbread cheesecake was very rich but served with a scoop of ice cream. My only criticism was that it was very difficult to hear the bingo caller above the noise, which was disappointing as we had each spent £11 on cards.

Brought my son here for dinner tonight, fast and friendly service and lovely food, definitely will be coming back. Massive thank you to all the staff.

Very good staff, my daughter was upset and they came over to cheer her up with an ice cream and made the effort. Defo will recommend and the food was great and came out all together which was nice. Thank you all and rose and crown 😊

3 friends and I have the carvery and all four of us went down with food poisoning the clue I guess was on the reception desk Kitchen assistants required dirty kitchen and regular cleaning obviously not maintained

We came out on a Saturday for pre drinks and ended up staying all night!! We were lucky enough to come on a night when a Karaoke was on and had a great night. Then at staff were brilliant and friendly…. 2 for 1 cocktails until 9pm too, what more is there to like!!

We came down on a Sunday, primarily for some food and a few casual drinks. We wanted something different than your traditional English Sunday dinner. The menu is fairly large and the prices are fantastic for what you get. Initially we had planned to leave after food but the banter on the pub was fantastic with the locals and we ended up staying and competing in the quiz!! We had a fantastic time and ended having to leave the car in the car park and collect the next day. I didn’t mind this as the car park is secure and camera covered. They have a brand new pool table also and again it’s always busy on the table but the local crown don’t mind you getting involved playing winner stays on. I was thoroughly enthralled throughout my visit and will definitely be going back again

Food was OK, nothing special. Took a really long time to come out and then our children's meals were delayed 10 mins past everyone else's. Then, despite an array of ice cream flavours, had nothing left except vanilla and chocolate. Just a little disappointing given it had good ratings.
