The best restaurants serving Brasserie food in South West

This was my first time here and I’ll definitely be back. The restaurant upstairs was closed at the time I was there but I was able to go and have a look at the menu. I had food from the deli cafe which is downstairs. The fish counter had some beautiful fish for sale and all well presented.

We visited on NYE for a drink with our dog. We were allowed to sit anywhere in the pub that didn’t have carpet and the kind barmaid also pointed out that the fire was lit if we wanted to warm up. This pub has a lovely welcoming atmosphere with really nice staff. Our dog was made to feel very welcome and had more than one treat from the jar! We returned on NYD for a lunchtime meal and thoroughly enjoyed our food. Again our dog was accommodated and we had been given a corner table which was great because she curled up in the corner. My husband had sausage and mash which he thoroughly enjoyed and I went for the vegetarian loaded sweet potato which was very flavoursome. We were too full for pudding but had coffee and tea which was served with a ginger biscuit. The staff were attentive throughout without being overbearing. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely visit the Greyhound Inn.

Cracking pub! Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, and a Guinness so good it might just convince you that you’re in Dublin. If pints could get Michelin stars, this one would be at least a two-star Guinness experience. Highly recommend!

Today's lunch at Brown & Forrest Smokery was nothing short of exceptional – a true five-star culinary experience in the heart of Langport. The quaint and inviting ambience of the smokery provided the perfect setting for a delightful catch-up with a friend. Choosing from the menu was a pleasure, knowing that whatever the selection, satisfaction was guaranteed. My choice, the Tuna Mayonnaise Bap, was a triumph of flavours. The bap was generously packed with succulent, flavorful tuna, beautifully complemented by a creamy mayonnaise that tied the whole experience together. Each bite was a testament to the freshness and quality of the ingredients used. My friend's Full English Bap was a sight to behold—laden with a hearty combination of sausage, egg, bacon, and mushrooms. It was more than a bap; it was a celebration of traditional English breakfast components, all brought together in a convenient and no less delicious form. The culinary journey didn't end with the mains. I couldn't resist purchasing some of their sugar-free biscuits, a sweet endnote to look forward to. The thought of relishing those biscuits later added an extra layer of joy to an already splendid visit. It’s not just the food that deserves applause but also the service. The staff at Brown & Forrest Smokery were as warm as the food was delectable, contributing to a relaxed and friendly dining atmosphere that's hard to come by. Absolutely disgusting roast dinner, do not bother it tasted absolutely horrible and dry meat gravy had a weird taste 7.99

You’re welcome, the ambience, tunes, warmth & decor is laid back and cool. The menu tempting, our mains and sides were delicious, desert was divine. Thank you we will come again and we will tell our friends and family about this special place.

Tenía pollo supremo como principal, y el filete de filete de su marido estaba perfectamente cocinado. Buen vino y un servicio discreto y educado. Encantador ambiente y decoración. Volveré a visitar cuando volvamos.

Amazing value bar meals. The Yorkshire pudding wraps with roasties and dipping gravy are to die for. The basket meals look brilliant as well. Great service and a lovely host behind the bar , we will be back to try the rest of the food and music nights soon.

Young staff more interested in social media conversation , not how's your meal or can I get you any condiments??????

Lovely and warm inside on a cold weekend in Torquay. Friendly staff, with a good selection of beers, coffee etc. Breakfast was really good, and would return next time in Torquay.

We had a good 2 night stay in this hotel, good breakfast. Walk around the famous canal and historic old parts of town.

i visited today with the wife and i have to say it was amazing , the staff were so kind. The owner and her daughter were very nice to us and the food was second to no one . I can't wait to revisit this place . I do hope one day they will do a spicy curry crab or lobster but what they do is very well done , thankyou for such an amazing experience . Peter & Bonnie
