Thank you to smokey Joes for making my son 12th Birthday meal so special. Everything was perfect ,food still is amazing

A proper place to have a proper breakfast.

Just got home from having lunch with the wife here at Smokey Joes in Scorrier Cornwall. I had the Cottage Pie & the wife had the Lasagne both of the specials board. beautiful, tasty ,well presented. & the Staff where very friendly. Advise people to come here especially if you are down in Cornwall on holiday. If local come here regularly . we will be back more often . Merry Christmas to all.

I went here with my family for a Birthday Breakfast. The staff were polite and accommodating, the food was prompt, fresh and more than ample amount of food on my plate, a wide open menu that catered for all dietary needs. Parking wasn't an issue and they even have EV charging there and an outdoor sheltered area for smokers, where you can if you so desire, have your food served out there on a table. Not my first visit, certainly not my last either. Keep up the good service y'all!

Stopped in a lay-by very close to here the other day based on multiple trucker recommendations and have to say I was very happy with the service. Food portion was massive and tasted brilliant too! Will definitely stop by here again in the future.

Alot better then last time as they explained the menu a lot better. The food was great the service was good 👍..shower is good in itself but poor in the condition..the parking is still very muddy. But to change my point of view a good spot .braised stead was stunning

Good value traditional greasy spoon cafe. Went for a standard full English breakfast for £10.10 including a mug of tea.

Had the large all day breakfast for just over 10 pounds. Fantastic meal, the sausages were great as was the fried bread. We took home some desserts and they were great too as they were home made too. Worth the trip out, you won't be disappointed.

Lovely brunch great service too

The service was excellent as was the food 100%,I went with friends for lunch ,I had a good old favourite Sausage ,egg,chips and beans ,my freind both had a full English, the food was piping hot and cooked to perfection ,the staff were helpful and freindly ,nothing was too much trouble I would highly recommend it to anyone ,it was good value as well. There is a comprehensive menu ,plus an excellent selection of cakes and pastries .Go give it a try. You won't be disappointed .

Dined here on a reccomendation whilst visiting Cornwall to see friends. First thing to note was how busy it was. I was there around 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. Very busy diner for a busy road with nothing much around and no surprise. They had a very extensive menu which isn't always a good thing. From T-Bone steak, lasagne, salads, paninis. sandwiches, breakfasts, roasts and deserts. Every plate of food I saw come out from the kitchen was HUGE. I went for the Hungryman Breakfast at a little over £10. It was substantial to say the least and served on a massive oval plate as evidenced by the two side by side slices of perfectly cooked and non greasy fried slices. The whole thing really should have come with an emergency phone number - 999, it was that big. Everthing on the plate was top draw in quality and taste. I particulary liked the Hogs Pudding (those 3 brown things in the pic). I didn't have a single gripe. My friend did however. He had the mixed grill, which although good on taste defeated him as all the meats were too tough to be acceptable in my opinion.. I'd rate his choice at a 2 out of 5 for that reason.

Good old fashioned greasy spoon. Man sized portions at a fair price. Popular with construction people and dusy at times. Very happy we went there, deffo a place to visit again.

Food great as usual. Used to have old music which was turned right down. Turn the music up for better atmosphere

Look, I know some readers will probably feel a bit annoyed by this review due to this place for whatever reason being a “county-wide sensation” but I don’t care. Yes, this place certainly has heart and the accessibility is great but there’s just no texture in the food. I went with some family members and I ordered the standard roast with beef (feel like I need to explain that the beef was wet and a bit dull). Family member explained that their chicken was ‘soggy’ to the rest of the table. Puddings are massive and hard to eat since they are rather sickly. Just not a great time overall.

Most trucker friendly place. Same kindness to bikers, tourists and other visitors. Portions are huge, food is tasty, staff are very friendly. Place where you definitely want to visit again!

Went today with mrs and step daughter, had the steak and ale pie chips and veg. I’m from the midlands and 48 years young 🤔 so had a few pies in my time and I would say that this was easily as good as Mad O'Rourke's Pie Factory in Tipton. I popped in the kitchen and said this to the kitchen staff before we went. Well loaded with steak it was a very generous portion, lovely gravy and pie crust. Veg cooked perfect cabbage, carrots, swede and garden peas. Nice chips. Struggled to put it all away at £13.30 and £1.10 for a mug of tea this is probably the best quality and value meal I have had in recent memory. Mrs had the chicken mushroom pie.. had to try it and it was just as nice as mine. It’s a truck stop so dont expect the ritz but I couldn’t care less, the food was 10/10 and served quickly.

If you are hungry and looking for a good cooked breakfast in Cornwall, Smokey Joes is the place to go. This is the first place I visit when visiting Cornwall👍

I can never complain about this place, I'm an outsider down here, even after 45 years, but I've seen this place grow since I got down here, always busy, staff always friendly, food always excellent, don't complain about the car park, it was still is a truck stop, don't complain that the guy in working clothes get served before you, you been in longer than him them, they run there days by tachos, priority will be given to those guys.

Visited with a group of 14. The service and food were both equally amazing. Would definitely recommend. The portion sizes were large which was great for us foodies. Pudding were homemade with a Great selection.

Looking around for a place that offers daily roasts, not just a sunday, as well as a large menu choice, then this is the place. Great value and friendly staff. Food was tasty. Service was slow at a busy time on a bank holiday, but was worth the wait. Staff were great in helping us celebrate my sons birthday with singing and a delicious slice of chocolate cake. Will 100% be back.

Food was under cooked and cold, staff rude when we tried to talk to them about it and didn’t help resolve the issue at all. Wouldn’t recommend, the place has gone down hill massively :(

Our first an won't be the last, settled for a hungry man's breakfast before we set of up country and it didn't disapoint. After being told so many time we waited 45 mins because it was a busy period but the staff were awesome and the food is well priced and delicious. Was tempted by a cake but couldn't eat anything else after a large plateful and coffee. Defo recommend if you that way worth the wait if you have too. Please try just over £10 for the hungry man's and worth every penny. Well done

Our first visit to Smokey Joes with friends who live in Cornwall. What can I say ? "OUTSTANDING, EXCEPTIONAL" We will definitely be visiting again before the end of our holiday.

There was 23 of us and we was served in a timely manner and the food was delicious and hot not one mistake (which is difficult with that many people) food is amazing here well done smokeys

I recently dined at Smokey Joe Café and was thoroughly impressed by their English breakfast. Closed at 20:20 on a Wednesday.... Google said 22:00 and even their sign at the entrance showed 21:30. Dissapointing

Went here, with a work colleague, ordered a slimmers breakfast (£10)with an extra order on top...didn't receive tomato or extra order ! Toast was diabolical. They knocked the price of toast off apparently but I still got charged £10...entire order around £24...paid in full, disgusted with the attitude of staff. It was like I'd done something wrong. Pitiful. Won't be going here again !

You won't be Disappointed if you Dine here great menu and prices are very good truly value for money meals and service is very good and the staff are very friendly today I ordered Gammon and got a massive piece of Gammon fried egg 3 large onion rings peas salad and a good portion of chips for just £12.50 amazing my wife ordered Scampi and that also was a big plateful thanks to all the staff and my thanks to the chef this was our second visit and will certainly be going again

Very nice place. Very good food and friendly people. As a lorry driver you pay £25 for parking. For that you will have dinner, shower and coffee in the morning.

The food is lovely, the portions excellent and the staff warm and friendly. If you like pub grub (steaks etc) why go somewhere else and pay the same price for half the portion and poorer quality?? I had the mixed grill (the photo was taken half way through eating so please don’t treat as a full portion as it was nowhere near!) This place is a truck stop so I had preconceptions about what it would be like - I was wrong. If you like good traditional food in large portion sizes you simply have to go here.

This isn’t the first time we have eaten here. As usual the breakfast was of high quality with first class customer service either a smile.

Visited after recommendation and did not disappoint. Staff were very friendly and helpful and a great choice on menu including specials board. All home cooked including amazing cake and desert menu. Portion sizes are huge to suit anyone's appetite. We had mixed grill and chicken pie and was best we've had in a long time highly recommended. Victoria sponge and lemon cheesecake to take home

Quiet place for lorry parking overnight

Brilliant choice of economical food, freshly cooked. Pies, salads, sandwiches and much, much more. Plenty of free parking and seating. Great service from friendly staff. Toilets on site and on a level. Huge meals for the price, but they will provide a box if you can't eat it all.

Quite truckstop @ £25 including any main meal off the menu. Food and friendly service are plentiful and excellent quality. Facilities are basic but what do you expect for what is essentially £12 to park up for the night.

I forget how good the food is at Smokey Joe's. We had steak and Stilton pie with veg and roasties and steak and ale pie with chips and peas. Could not be faulted - other than no room for dessert ☹️ Not surprising its always busy.
