Lovely location with harbour views.

Came here for dinner before going to the theatre and everything was lovely. Got served by Natalia who was really friendly and helpful. Food was really good, steak cooked to perfection. Had a good atmosphere, great views and reasonably priced. We will be back, thank you :)

My wife and I had a evening meal on the 12th October and what a fantastic meal it was. So we decided to return On the 17th October oh what a disappointment it was this time around, such a shame. The reason for the high score was because of the evening meal, I would still recommend the restaurant.

Just dropped in for a coffee, but couldn't resist the scrumptious cake on the next table. Yes it did taste as good as it looked, the coffee had a great taste, not wishy washy. Would certainly recommend the Offshore to friends & family, the lady who served us was friendly & quick with a sense of humour .

I visited here Saturday night with two friends after it was recommended to me. The location is perfect and if the weather was kinder, you could have compared it to a Mediterranean setting. Alas, it was a little chilly and we dined outside the restaurant at 20:30. A little confusion at the start of the meal as the staff seemed disorganised and erratic. Things calmed down and we were given menus then informed that the kitchen closes at nine. We had to pay for the meals in advance which I found strange. I quipped “ is it because I’m not only Welsh but mixed race as well?” The server politely informed us that people often leave without paying, not just outside but also inside the restaurant! Onto the meals then. For starters, I had the pork belly bites. They were very tasty and seasoned well and garnished with coriander. Just a small bowl but were just enough to get the taste buds fired up. I haven’t had surf and turf for many years and couldn’t resist after seeing it on the menu. I had a Sam Miguel on draught and friends opted for soft drinks. The mains arrived after 10-15 minutes so not long at all. The restaurant was busy inside and we chose to be away from the crowd deliberately. I had the fillet steak cooked medium rare and peppercorn sauce. Chunky chips a mushroom and cherry vine tomatoes accompanied the dish. Also in a small bowl were three king prawns. The steak was magnificent and cooked to perfection. Medium rare it was and at a guess, I’d say 6-8 ounces. I never got told. Peppercorn sauce was in a gravy dish and the chunky chips were sadly frozen ones but not bad. My friend had scallops with a side of fries. He seemed to enjoy it. His partner arrived not long after and had some of his meal as the kitchen had now closed. Although what she was wearing certainly made her dish of the day 😜.

The site was great the view superb think I must have upset chef as I ordered 2 lobster dinners for me and my wife as a anniversary treat I asked for no garlic butter as I don't like garlic so was surprised to find I had plate full of shell no tail meat just meat in claw bth had one half and one claw each no problem with price £30 per plate did not say anything did not want to make a seen the staff we're great food very disappointed chip salad one claw meat not great value very disappointed

The food was excellent - hake, mussels, scallops. The Pinot Grigio was fine but not chilled enough. The service was disappointing: the only visible waitress was texting behind the bar. So I went up and tried to order, to be told that it is table service only. I sat down. Then she took out a roll of sticky tape and repaired something. 5 minutes later she came to take our order..... Nice place, GREAT food, but the staff need a crash course on effective service.

Stopped in Torquay on business so looked for somewhere decent to get food. Wow fell right on my feet with Offshore 👍 Great friendly welcome wonderful array of drinks and a cracking menu. Keep doing what your doing Offshore it works ✔️

Fantastic food and very helpful

We chose Offshore based on good reviews and convenient location on the seafront. The restaurant is lovely inside however the service we received was poor. We had to attract the servers attention to order drinks and food after a lengthy wait once we were seated. When our food eventually arrived we still hadn’t received our drinks but were assured they were on the way. We were then basically ignored- none of the servers came near our table, we had to go to the bar to chase up our drinks, we weren’t asked how our meal was, we weren’t offered dessert/coffee and couldn’t attract anyones attention to get the bill so had to go to the bar to pay. I’d love to be able to say that despite this the food was good but sadly it was just mediocre

Excellent! Sat outside on a sunny Sunday afternoon listening to live music & we shared a few pizzas which were really nice! All the staff were lovely & it’s dog friendly too!

We had a fabulous meal and the chocolate and coconut pudding was amazing. Service was very good would recommend.

We were very lucky to get a table but so glad we did, the food was absolutely fantastic. We had some Chorizo Bites and Pork Belly as appetisers and they were delicious. For mains we both had the fish burger with homemade tartare sauce which was the best version I have ever had, portion size was perfect and the food was so fresh and tasty. The staff were amazing and the location is perfect for pre/post dinner walk along the front.

WOW..... late in in the evening, very hungry after a day in Llandudno, what do we find, an oasis, with amazing staff and great atmosphere, just what it is.

Food was great but attention from staff needs work. We were seated and given the drinks/food menu. Another couple were then seated about 10 minutes after us and were served drinks and their starters before anyone asked what we wanted to eat and drink. We ordered a bottle of Malbec which was delivered to the table next to us (who incidentally were still browsing the drinks/food menu and were surprised when it arrived on their table). Once we had finished our mains we sat waiting for someone to ask if we wanted any desserts or coffee or anything else. The rest of the restaurant had emptied so was just us and nobody came to speak to us at all. In the end we just asked for the bill, paid and left.

One of the staff members was so rude. If I could I would give 0 stars and they had a go at my grandchildren for drinking out of their own juice bottles and even when one of them was just holding it she had another go at them and the tuna mayo had massive sticks of butter on both sides, if I could I would give 0 stars I will never return.

Would absolutely return next time we visit Torquay, we were early for evening service but instead of being turned away like a lot of restaurants we welcome to sit at table have a drink promptly at 5pm our food order was taken we were promptly no long waits even in between courses, the food was delicious, the staff themselves were very warm and friendly, especially the young American lady absolutely lovely personality went above and beyond to help I think she may have been manager if not she would perfect at position just sorry I didn't remember her lovely but unusual name, thank you for making our day a bit more special

amazing food and great service! table service even when sat outside was speedy and attentive and the food was unreal, we had a margherita pizza and the catch of the day and they were both amazing, 100% recommend! reasonable prices too with a beautiful view !!

Went there on Wednesday there was a pushy woman who wanted to take your order before you sat down.

Popped in as we heard music playing and thought it would be a good stop off point on our way back to our apartment. Absolutely shocking bar service. We waited at the bar for over 15 minutes and eventually gave up and left. One bartender who didn’t have a clue. Drunk patrons who did not wait to be served but were happy to push in! Avoid.

I have visited Offshore on several occasions, it’s one of my favourite sun spots to sit and watch the world go by. I love their mocktails, so delightfully presented, the strawberry daiquiri is my favourite. They have local Devon Rock on draught, along with an abundant drinks menu, to suit every palate. The food is always fresh, delicious and full of flavour. The scallops were meaty, juicy and just melted in your mouth, paired with the maple and bacon butter - perfection. The chilli butter crevettes were stunning, such a treat, their seafood really showcases the best of the bay! The whole roasted market fish was so flavourful, freshly caught and beautifully dressed. The staff are always very friendly, attentive and welcoming. I will keep returning, Offshore is definitely a must visit in Torquay!

Excellent, really enjoyed this place. Not been before, walked past with the family and the menu looked good so thought we'd give it a go. So glad we did! Food was excellent, could not fault the flavours, presentation and portion size. Service was great too - quick, attentive and friendly - just what you need. Would thoroughly recommend the place!

It was getting windy and cold so we jumped into the offshore restaurant to shelter and have a meal,it ead busy and fully booked but we were given s table as other customers were just leaving,so we were lucky..the food and service were good but i found it was very expensive,and nothing really healthy,most of the menu was for fried food,or had butter in it,and i would have liked a normal salad with something chargrilled,but overall the food was fresh,and good quality ingredients.. i settled for fish stew with gluten free bread for a starter and a ploughmans for a main which lovely.

Walked passed Offshore after our original choice was fully booked and dropped in. Offshore will now be our preferred choice every time. Amazing food, relaxed atmosphere and friendly happy staff.

We had the burger and the bacon and brie sandwich. Both were excellent, burger done exactly as I like, fries were excellent, the sandwich was first class.

Lovely food but service really slow and they forgot about us a few times and others around us. Took a while to get a servers attention. Toilets really dirty .

I stopped off here on my last day in Torquay before catching the train and going home. I ordered a Sausage, Bacon and Egg Chiabatta and have to say it was one of the most delicious breakfasts I have ever had. Nice Staff as well. Will definitely be back! A++

Thoroughly enjoyed our evening here. Staff are very knowledgeable and reassuring about dietary requirements. Great location, only a short walk to Princess Theatre. Hope to be back soon.

Called in here for lunch, which was lush i recommend the duck salad, situated on the harbour so plenty of nice views and people watching to do

What a wonderful place. The food is absolutely fabulous and well worth the money. We had two steaks tonight with a couple of sides and each dish was fantastic. We will be back....

Unfortunately we came when Euro was on which I don’t mind as England had just got through to semi-final but it was blaring and barman was glued to it! Not a lot of choice so picked pepperoni pizza and fish stew for partner. The pizza was like a frozen one and bland with hardly any pepperoni. The fish stew was lovely but quite dry and more like a starter! The saving grace for me was the Aforgato pudding but we would not return.

It's a great place. We had pizza with a taste of fresh ingredients and the Mocktails were delicious for a sunny day with a view of the harbour.

Great food. The scallops are divine, and the "fish catch of the day" is excellent. Also, a good selection of wines. Very good value.

Me and my wife booked a table .we have never been there before it was our first time .as we were on holiday .the food was 10 out of 10.staff were very friendly and helpful .would definitely recommend this place to eat .if you have never been you won't be disappointed

We visited on Monday, the food was amazing. The service was great, very lovely waitresses. Nothing was too much trouble, would highly recommend!

Always a nice atmosphere, especially when the sun is out. The menu can be a touch pricey but the food is always really good so I suppose it reflects that! Nice drink selection too.

Visited for lunch on 09/06. Starters and mains were all very nice and perfectly sized portions. We were seated in the back room which was nice, as a large party Great service as well and very accommodating. Didn't catch our main servers name

Great food although you have to pay upfront!

Had 2 sandwiches on brown bread. We cut our crusts off because they were inedible, i politely suggested they removed that loaf and got a fresh one. I was abruptly informed that all products are fresh. Really thats why i left half my dinner. Won't be back

They managed to accommodate us as a last minute walk in. Attentive and efficient service, the food was amazing. Our fussy eater daughter had the fish goujons from the children’s menu, it was cooked to perfection and she cleared her plate. Would highly recommend and hope to come back to try their breakfast menu

We were going to order food but it took them 15 minutes to even bring us our drinks order..when the drinks came the cider was completely flat! The staff have no idea of customer service and to be honest a couple of them looked completely doped out!

Great place..not easy to pay however as waiting staff had difficulty with card payments outside..better wifi needed maybe.

We was in Torquay stay with cousins to go to the Pirate festival which was amazing ,we love torquay harbour its amazing place to visit

We popped in for a late afternoon drink. Sat in the outdoors area which was nice. And we were surprised to find it is full table service. Returned in the evening for a drink and sat indoors which was also nice. Reasonable prices and friendly staff.

Fabulous food and service every time. A must do if you’re visiting or living in Torquay. Live music nights are fantastic.

Always amazing food and the most welcoming team

Had lunch , extremely tasty food and pretty good value. Atmosphere was very good . We were slightly disappointed with the service , had to ask for our order to be taken after waiting for quite a while , even though our drinks order was prompt. It was busy , but that shouldn't equate to nor excuse the wait time .

Was supposed to be table service . We were served on arrival and then just ignored. As a result we went elsewhere to eat which was a shame as the place had been recommended by a local taxi driver Bar staff apologised, said they were short staffed and busy.

Very nice bar/restaurant located at Torquay harbour. The food was delicious. The lamb & potato pie was the highlight.
