Fabulous food and service every time. A must do if you’re visiting or living in Torquay. Live music nights are fantastic.

Always amazing food and the most welcoming team

Had lunch , extremely tasty food and pretty good value. Atmosphere was very good . We were slightly disappointed with the service , had to ask for our order to be taken after waiting for quite a while , even though our drinks order was prompt. It was busy , but that shouldn't equate to nor excuse the wait time .

Was supposed to be table service . We were served on arrival and then just ignored. As a result we went elsewhere to eat which was a shame as the place had been recommended by a local taxi driver Bar staff apologised, said they were short staffed and busy.

Very nice bar/restaurant located at Torquay harbour. The food was delicious. The lamb & potato pie was the highlight.

Popped in for some light food and some drinks. The menu options for late afternoon weren't what we were after, so we enjoyed 2 for £14 cocktails, which were delicious. Overlooks the harbour and dog friendly.

Always great food and service, personally I love the chips that come with the offshore burger...20/10 still great food with excellent service and a decent pint of Dartmoor Jail Ale...other drinks are available but do they compare???

This is not the first time I have reviewed this gem but I thought I would add another as it's still hitting the high marks We went for a pre birthday lunch The weather was a bit pants so no harbourside posing from the lively outdoor seating area However we had a superb meal and a little stroll after along the harbour. Our food was amazing My wife had Hake fish and chips with the lightest of batters and I had Hake on top of a gorgeous spicy tomato and chorizo sauce with gnocchi and artichoke which was really tasty!! The menus is focussed and not too fussy changing regularly which makes it interesting and you know it's all freshly cooked Our waitress was friendly and cheerful and the chef is clearly really talented and apparently does not share his recipes !!😁 I would highly recommend this place One of our regular haunts good for people watching, drinks , fabulous friendly service and amazing food!!!😋👍😁

Went there for a celebration for a Christening. The place was far too small for all of us. The buffet wasn't great for kids and adults. Drinks were very overpriced.

very bad food and cold, run out of vegetable and roast potatoes beef was tuff could not gut with a knife at all. Yorkshire pudding was not cooked still runny batter mix inside had food taken back to heat up but still no joy. they gave us one free drink and 10% off the bill. Shame it looks nice inside but will not go back ever again they spoiled our Sunday. for use.

Dog friendly, we chose to sit outside n look over the harbour. Lovely service very polite. Food was amazing Salmon beetroot sandwich.

We visited for breakfast with our young grandson and were greeted by friendly, smiling staff. Everything was excellent, food, drinks and our table had a lovely view of the harbour. The pancakes with chocolate sauce, peanut butter and banana were much appreciated by grandson, he had requested to return having enjoyed them on a previous occasion. The bar was decorated beautifully for Valentine’s night.

Beautiful restaurant with delicious food, we had an excellent experience trying some of their delicious food, and everything was just perfect, crevettes definitely stayed in my mind 😋

Visited today (18.02) and was absolutely delighted! Had an unbelievable Roast Dinner. Roast beef was melt in the mouth. As a celiac I can confirm they had loads of options available and we're able to make GF Gravy for me. Appreciated it massively Service with a smile and very reasonably priced

Civilised, comfortable and with friendly and attentive staff. A great place to drop in for a very agreeable Sunday lunch. It wasn't excessively busy when we visited, but a reservation was a sensible decision.

The music really sets off the atmosphere with a picturesque view of the boats in the harbour. The food is of high quality and very tasty, if you're visiting torquey for the first time, as I am, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit!

This is a real gem of a find in Torquay! So much better than all of the chains and fast food around the harbour, I'm already looking forward to another visit. The restaurant is really beautiful inside and serves delicious local food, everyone in our party said that the food definitely exceeded expectations - particularly the mussels - and the staff were so friendly too. The restaurant has exceptional ramped access both externally and internally with room to the around inside for wheelchair users. They have built the ramps in to match the aesthetic not just have a random metal ramp somewhere, so this was certainly not an afterthought, well done for being so inclusive!

Festive afternoon tea Not a great welcoming, staff lacking general customer service . Table had been booked for about 2 weeks which tbf was nicely laid . The issues lay with general customer service, lacking any communication unless your a regular ( had a couple come and sit on table next to us , who obviously were regulars and staff couldn’t do enough for them) . A member of staff asked if we’d finished , even though food still on plates , we were having a rest , and just walked off in a huff . Not a problem with food , it was lovely and fresh just not a pleasant atmosphere.

After our previous poor experience we decided to try this well known venue but it would seem it just remains continually poor. With simple easily rectifiable mistakes being made. Firstly we were seated on a badly cleaned table and watched them seat guests on another table which had not been wiped since the previous people. We were only told once ordering that the items we wanted were out of stock (always best to do this before people order) Doesn't matter what coffee you order, you will get whatever they can manage to do properly (fyi don't heat the milk that hot it doesn't froth) Once again the food is the only saving grace here! Absolutely perfect! The front of house seriously needs some work, I can't say I have much hope from the manageress stood at the bar obliviously sipping coffee looking like she's just left an abba tribute night at Butlins

As with anywhere in Torquay, this place can change greatly with the seasons and with the number of people visiting. However, Offshore is a consistently good place to stop in for a drink. I haven't had food yet (although it always looks and smells good). The staff are always friendly and there is a good selection behind the bar.

Decent local food and drinks - had burgers and pizzas - very good sticky toffee pudding 😀

My first visit to this bar and wow what a wonderful place to be . The staff are so friendly and make you feel at home . The food is amazing and thier hot chocolate is the best ever !! A special shout out to Lynette what a fun loving person she is . I will be back ,sitting there watching the world go by is so relaxing . Well done to all of you .

Came in for a drink and some food ended up staying most of the morning, great location, the staff go out of there way to look after you. Lynette was so lovely and great knowledge of Torquay.

All a bit meh to be honest. A warm welcome on a cold winters day, from the waitress, was a good start. It’s a lovey place in a great location. Alas, the good doesn’t continue much further. I ordered a crab sandwich and my wife chose a ham and cheese sandwich. We also chose a bowl of fries to share. The fries were nice! The sandwiches were made using dry, poor quality bread. My £12 crab sandwich didn’t really have much crab meat in, it had no lemon (which it was meant to) and the “dressed” side salad wasn’t dressed at all. My wife’s ham and cheese sarnie was worse. A literal dusting of finely grated cheddar and a single thin slice of ham left her stuffing fries between the two slices of bread to gain some filling. No one checked on us throughout this very mediocre meal. Would’ve had better sandwiches from a meal deal in Tesco and paid a lot less. Establishments often complain the people don’t use local cafes/pubs enough. Well, when attention to detail is poor, is there any wonder why people turn to the big chains? Should we have found waiting staff halfway through our meal to tell them it just wasn’t that great? Should it really be up to me to tell a bar/cafe how to simply make a nice sandwich? Not really. We just won’t go back.

We went to Offshore for my hubby's 60th birthday, a party of 14 people, we pre booked the order so the service was quick, food was lovely...the staff were very helpful and cheery, we also took 2 dogs, who were given treats and a bowl of water, we took a birthday cake in, which they brought out and all sung happy birthday to hubby, lovely place and highly recommend, also great communication via email with Mark, thank you 😁

Baby shower afternoon tea for 14 friends and family - sadly the scones were still frozen in the middle - the sandwiches crispy with dry basic fillings and the cupcakes weren’t cooked - were all doughy still. The mini macarons, eclairs and brownie were all obviously previously frozen too - the ‘cream’ in the eclairs grainy and the rest very dry.. Staff initially quite dismissive but when shown the issues the manager was called - he arranged for more scones to be done for us - sadly the second batch provided were also frozen in the middle.. The cupcakes and scones are bought in! He will be making the supplier of the cupcakes aware - she apparently had a show on and may have not been on form?! We had to have 4 out of 14 plates changed as they were dirty and a pint glass and wine glass changed as they were also dirty.. At £16.95 a head this would have been steep even if the food was too notch! 3 fingers of sandwiches, one scone, one cupcake and a small selection of mini treats each - glass of Prosecco. Manager was very apologetic and did agree to a discount - he saw proof of all the issues we had so genuine complaint! He handled the situation professionally but was obviously embarrassed by just how bad it was! So disappointed for the mum to be and all who attended… sadly wouldn’t recommend.

Lovley dinner with lots of different options for a sunday, we were nit rushed they were attentive but not pushy. Food was really good. The only thing i would say is we prob needed a bigger table it was a little snugg especially because we had some roasts so lots of sides on the tables. Besides that it was really good. We arrived early the table was available, we had a high chair for our son. Would go there again

We had a lovely welcome. A super little lunch and a drink. Super clean, bright and very welcoming. Thank you, especially to the lady who served us...she'd just come back from holiday and had a great tan, which we commented on.

I had the seafood soup which was superb! The Sharpham Reserve 2022 was the best I have had so far! All the other diners also had excellent seafood and other dishes were swiftly served and drank the Dartmoor IPA which is delicious too! Heartly recommend this restaurant. This is at the moment the best Seafood restaurant in the Bay!

Used to be my favourite bar a few years ago but sadly the atmosphere is nothing what it used to be. The food is fine but severely overpriced and on a number of occasions the service has been subpar. Since Covid, table service only has killed the ambiance and it shows in the number of customers. Great shame.

Having returned to Offshore after a couple years away from Torbay, I was pleasant surprised how this place was. The food has improved and the atmosphere was great.

Great food choice on excellent quality,with a good harbour location ,unfortunately the weather was very mixed we had to seat inside looking at the veiw.

We have been to Offshore many times and always the service and quality of food is impeccable. This time we visited with family and friends for sunday lunch. The quality of the food yet again was wonderful, the service was excellent and the staff went out of theior way to find a table that was more suitable for my elderly parents in law.

My girlfriend and I visited this lovely restaurant on Saturday. Really nice atmosphere and attentive staff, it was the perfect evening. Big shout out to our waitress Tess, she really went above and beyond and is a credit to the restaurant. 10/10

Excellent coffee and breakfast, friendly and helpful staff.

We visited Off Shore this afternoon for lunch. Being seated outside we were told someone would come and take our order. We waited 15 minutes, nobody came. Two other couples then came and sat at tables next to ours. The waitress appeared and took both their orders and totally ignored us ! By then, we'd been there for 20 minutes . My husband politely got the waitresses' attention, and she said to give her 5 minutes while she served one of the couples who'd just arrived ! Due to this ,we got up and left,walking 20 yards up the quayside to Vaughn's ,where we were served immediately and had our coffees infront of us in 2 minutes and our food 10 minutes after that !! The waitresses at Vaughan's was very attentive . 10/10 ....but unfortunately not to Off Shore ....

We’ve tried everywhere around the harbour in Torquay now and offshore is still our favourite. Great choice on the menu for all the family and such a beautiful location on the harbourside. The kids said I had to leave another review because they enjoyed their hot chocolates so much 😂

We had such a tasty meal here on Sunday evening and the service from Jacolini was absolutely first class+. The food is fresh and tasty and well presented and we have never had service as good as this anywhere in the world. Best eatery in Torquay by far!!

Lovely location, lovely service, lovely food. The full English and eggs benedict are particularly recommended.

As the sun was shining we wanted to have our last meal before heading home sat in the sun, so we grabbed a table at the Offshore Bar & Restaurant. Really good menu with something to suit everyone’s tastes. Our table over looked the harbour and it was just lovely. I ordered the pizza with crawl fish, capers & anchovies & I really enjoyed it and I could not think of anything better for our last meal before heading home. One thing is that you have to pay when you order. I really look forward to visiting this restaurant next year.

I live in Torquay and am a frequent customer throughout the year. It is such a shame that yesterday our waitress was so rude, whilst ordering coffee, I was informed that a tab is not possible outside and immediate payment was required , which is fine and something I already knew. I told her that I live locally, have a boat in the marina a stones throw away and am a regular customer, she simply said that locals are the worst for not paying and doing a runner and that I fit perfectly into the demographic that are the worst offenders! Certainly all completely unwelcome comments and I would imagine probably not factual. Not a conversation that was welcome and certainly not necessary. The couple on the next table, not known to us, commented that I must feel offended and how rude she was! Perhaps some staff training on friendliness and the value of looking after local people that frequent in the winter months when things are quiet would be a good idea. It will certainly be sometime before I return if at all.

Popped in quickly, served quickly,and the food arrived in good time. Quite busy when I visited.

Spent 2 weeks in Torquay and went every day coffees breakfast lunches and dinners and all were great the staff were very friendly and welcoming to us and our dog lynette was a joy to chat with really made our holiday visiting this gem of a place

Food always excellent prices average for area. Good atmosphere. Staff always lovely. Celebrated a birthday and wedding anniversary with friends. We would recommend booking for the evening but have eaten many times at breakfast and lunch with no problem getting a table.

A really good place for a bite to eat and drink on a hot afternoon. Service was friendly and bang on for a family with two kids. Food was a good size and served quickly. Although busy, we weren't rushing and the vibe was good.

Really delicious food but service was absolutely awful apart from one waitress. The barman rudley slammed our drink on the table and said "no blood orange", then proceeded to ask my husband what he wanted and sighing because we didn't really know what was happening. Didn't bother bringing a menu so we were expected to remember every gin on the menu. Didn't bother to recommend anything either. Then decided to charge the original gin on the bill which was cheaper than the one we ordered. Waiters continually leaned right across us and one nearly stabbed my husband in the face with the steak knife. On the other hand, the food was delicious and one waitress was really good and friendly. Like I say, such a shame the service was so bad.

What an amazing restaurant with fresh daily fish specials cooked to suit ,a good menu and quality drinks and wines ,starters on the larger size so bring your appetite and won't be disappointed .

We came here for a birthday breakfast for my daughter and booked a table inside. The staff were so friendly and the atmosphere was just perfect. My daughter and husband had the Offshore breakfast, and both raved about it, I had the scallops & bacon with avocado on sourdough bread. It was completely delicious with a sweet tomato relish hidden under the avocado. Best food I've had in a long time and would highly recommend coming here for any meal.

We ate dinner here one evening. Its mainly set up as a bar, but they have a few tables inside also for food. The food was very good and all 3 of us enjoyed what we ate. The service was good and we weren't rushed in any way.

We had a lovely meal here and were served by very 2 friendly young ladies .The goats cheese pizza was delicious , .and my husband chose the ploughman’s , although they had unfortunately run out of ham they did make it up by providing an extra helping of cheese of his choice . It’s situated right on the harbour so on a warm September evening it was lovey to sit outside . Very nice establishment

Nice lunch sat outside, food was what you expect for the prices you pay. Staff are friendly, not as attentive as they need to be and tables should be wiped down between guests. Due to the lovely location and value for money we would return.

Great location near the Harbour in Torquay. Stopped to have a couple of cocktails as the sun set …… looked great, but they were the worst drinks we have had in a long time. They cannot make cocktails!!

This restaurant has a "people person" problem, met at door by male waiter and told no seats inside but a bit sharp in tone. Then lady waitress said we do have a spare table, this was on Saturday. Nice pizza when we sat down. On Sunday this happened again, waiter needs some "people" training. Found another restaurant to eat in.

Nice place to sit but service is dire.lady saw us sit down but still never came to serve us until 15 minutes later saying she hadn't noticed us. They should put the staff behind the bar and scrap table service if they can't do it efficiently.

Had breakfast here on several days - first 2 times had the bacon and then the mushroom eggs benedict! it was the brightest yellow hollandaise I had ever seen but was assured that this was due to freshest ingredients! (the egg yolks certainly were orange)!...

Waited 10-15 minutes to get served for drinks . Didn’t get served. So left. Second time this has happened out of 2 visits. Useless. Utterly useless.

I went here today a family beside us was waiting for over 40 minutes for there food. When they asked the waitress. Her reply was " we are extremely busy. It will be here when it's ready" then walked off. We as locals where going to order. Due to her rudeness we left.

We booked late in the day for a party of seven. Couldn't fault the food or the service. The waitress was more than helpful. Will be using again next time were down in Torquay.

We have been coming to Offshore as long as I remember. Definitely over 15, maybe 20, years. Fish and seafood of the finest and always cooked to perfection. Not fancy, but the best view of the harbour and often live music too. It's a family...
